This place was awesome. Our vehicle started overheating, and we were stuck on the side of the road. We were towed to their place. Our vehicle fan had been Jerry-rigged by the previous owner. At first, they were just going to fix the rigging to get us home. I asked them to fix it correctly. We were told they needed to keep it overnight. So we called a friend for a ride home. While we were waiting, they went ahead and fixed it right then. It was so nice not to have to drive back the next day. The people there were so nice and accommodating. They offered us water as it was 105� in this Texas heat. I agree with the counter lady, I think Maria (?), they could benefit from vending machines. The mechanic even fitted a bolt to something with the back tire that was missing and made recommendations for some other work that needed to be done. They were even going to help us by letting us make payments if we couldn't afford the repair, as we are living on a fixed income (of course they would keep our vehicle until the repairs were paid for, but I didn't mind). Our van works great with no overheating problems. Would definitely recommend Hill Country Automotive to others. And thank y'all again.

New to Boerne - First time having to get car repaired (Husband passed) I was very nervous -bit overwhelmed - Didn't know who to go to. Prayed about it, called a couple of places and definitely a no, when I called here, I knew- After all is said and done, I am thankful I chose to go here. The folks here made it very easy. Kind and patient, work was done quick and done right. Will be my go to.

Hill Country Automotive were great and quick doing my vehicle inspection on both of my cars. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as I entered. Om new to Boerne. Javier and the mechanics are the BEST!!!Solved my engine problem in a very short and got me back on the road.They remind me of how having an honest, hometown auto shop used to be. People who care about getting you back on the road.Thanks Guys!!You're my forever auto repair!

I set up an appointment for 8am today. I show up and they tell me I'm too early. It's 8:11. The door says open. The hours say open. Who lied? Who's being lazy? If you wanna open later just change the hours don't lie to people.

I trust Jesse at Hill Country Automotive 150%! He has ALWAYS taken GREAT care of my vehicles for me. Jesse and Javier and the rest of the team are honest and trustworthy. They will treat you right at a fair price and go above and beyond to help you solve the problem. They will never do any work that is not authorized. I would not use any other mechanic shop. Wow, such a great experience. I had been going to my dealership for all my repairs for years, until a friend of mine recommended Hill Country Automotive. The entire experience was incredibly positive. The service advisor Arthur Ortega went above and beyond to answer my questions and make sure my needs were met. The owner of the shop was onsite and incredibly friendly too. I definitely will be going to them going forward.

My car broke down on the highway about a mile away from hill country auto, and a nice gentleman pulled over and recommended I come here.Upon arrival I was greeted very professionally by Javier and immediately, javier and Steve began taking care of paperwork and the mechanics pulled in my car and got to work! The whole experience was unlike any other auto shop I ve ever been to, I highly recommend for anyone to stop by, for any vehicle repairs or inspections. Jesse and the entire Hill Country Automotive team really took care of us when we needed it. We were on vacation almost 2000 miles from our home in Boise Idaho and were very limited on time since we had to check out of the Hotel in Boerne the next morning. To make matters worse it was a break related issue that would not be a risk I was willing to take with my family on the long trip back. It could have been an extremely stressful situation but thanks to the hard work from the team that was able to source all of the parts that same day and get us safely back on the road. I am not one to write reviews but this team deserves a 5 star from my experience and if I was local I would not hesitate to bring it by again. When it comes to Integrity, hard work, friendly transparent communication and most importantly, a genuine effort to take care of the customer I could not be happier with my experience. The repair was flawless and we had a great trip back with the peace of mind that the car was safe.Service: Brakes

Wonderful customer service from start to finish. Front desk (Javier) and technician (Jesse) are knowledgeable. My Jeep drives like it should now. They got my struts and alignment done with little turnaround time. Very accomodating and fair. I like that they also gave me a list of needed repairs/general maintenance and were not pushy about when I can get those items taken care of.

They were great to get me in quickly to inspect my car when most places in town weren't doing them because of statewide computer issues BUT the charge is $7. I have handed him a $10 & he said, "that'll do" and kept the change. I could have said something but decided he could just loose my future business instead.What the guy didn't know was that had he not said that I was going tell him to keep the change. I appreciated them getting me in.Yet, it's one thing if I give someone a tip, another if they take it.

My daughter s car was damaged after an oil change place put the wrong transmission fluid in her Subaru. Other repair shops said we needed a brand new transmission. We could not afford a new transmission but Jesse and his team worked countless hours and found a used transmission and got my daughter back on the road. By far the best repair shop your going to find. The reason why is that they are honest. Honest men trying to do right by people and doing the best job they can. They always communicate what work needs to be done and will tel you honestly what the best solution is for you whether it is to their benefit or not. They want repeat business. Not to gouge people and laugh all the way to the bank. Anyone who has had work done at many other places in this industry can appreciate the traits that HC Automotive posses. My car was leaking oil and they said they could check it out (for an unreasonable amount of money) just to find out where the problem was, and then additional charges for actually fixing the problem. I took my car to a different shop in SA and at the shop in SA they charged me way less than HCA. It s a good thing I didn t use their services because my brother took his car to HCA and they, again, overcharged him and a few days later he had to take the back to the shop because the car was still having the same issue. They told him they couldn t fix it, unless he paid again. I understand it s a business but don t try to overcharge and if y all can t properly fix the problems. Just say so, so we can take our business elsewhere.

I needed my ac fixed on an older model vehicle. After some diagnostics I was told that since I had an older "outdated ac system" it would have to be replaced to accept the new coolants. They said I needed a new compressor, hoses, condenser;etc. The total would be about $1000. I couldn't afford it at the time so I lived without ac in beautiful south Texas for about two years. I always had that thought in my mind as I sat sweating at red lights and in slow traffic, "$1000, I have to put up with this until I have an extra $1000."Recently I was at a mechanic in SA with my daughter's car and I asked about the ac in my vehicle. He looked at it and noticed a loose wire harness that cost me $18 and as far as my "outdated ac system" there's a simple conversion kit that allows use of the new coolants. It's available at auto parts stores for $12!! That's $30 total! $30 not $1000.A bad experience and a lot of unnecessary perspiration.

Been here before and was satisfied with the service and work that was done. Right before Christmas my check engine light came on. I checked the code and it was for a bad O2 sensor. I had already changed the other side myself but being the week before Christmas I just didn't have the time. So I dropped my truck expecting around $200. I was called and given a cost of $550. Told me the sensor was about $250 and labor $250. I declined the was and was out the $90 diagnostic fee. I drove over to Oriellys, picked a sensor for $120, and did the work mysekf. An hour later my truck was back on the road. I haven't had any reason to question Hill Country until now. Kind of disappointed.

I have used several automotive repair shops in town, these guys are very good. The customer service was amazing. The prices are what you would expect to pay else where but their speed and quality is top notch.

I've been using HCA since moving to Boerne over a year ago. So far, I have had a few jobs for them and I always come away feeling that I have been dealt with fairly and accurately.They are currently facing some access issues due to the continued construction on I10. Not their fault though so no star deduction.
