Ethical fast and friendly! Cost me less than I expected! About 4 hours all told for a remote repair ( new starter)

I called for road service after my truck broke down in Lamesa, TX. The alternator had frozen and caught on fire. Including giving Jim the drivers number, I informed him of the exact situation. Jim went and looked at the truck, about 40 miles from him and told me it was the alternator and there was none in stock. I had him put it on will call at Freightliner in Fort Worth, TX and overnighted it to them, and paid for the alternator. After they received the alternator, I did not hear back from Jim until about 6pm, even after repeated calls and text messages. Jim said he will send a tech that way after we agree to payment. He sent me an invoice for $1700 for road service and installing alternator. I told him it was too much and to please lower it a bit. Then he sent me a revised invoice for 1455, which, still a lot, was a bit better. Jim's finished it around 11:50pm and informed me he's done and wants payment. At that time I couldn't get a hold of my driver, as he was in a motel. I told him to start the truck so I can see it on the tracking system. Jim stopped picking up calls and send me a pic of the alternator on the truck and said he needs payment. I told him I can't pay him until I can verify the truck started. Jim did not respond to my calls after that and texted me they will come back in the morning. Jim called me in the morning and asked me to pay them the 1455 we agreed to before he will go out there and informed me he had taken off the alternator and had it in his possession. I informed him to please finish the job and I will be more than happily pay him the agreed upon amount. Jim threaten to tow my truck, file a lien, and bring the police up there to the truck. Jim had taken both of the keys from the driver too. Some of my text messages are posted below where Jim is telling me to go back to where I came from etc. Racists people, would not recommend.

Called this mechanic shop for services. This guy showed up and never acknowledged himself as the mechanic. He sit for 1 minute pulled off..Hey Jim, I had no way of know that was you. Mike never told me that he had hired you to do the job. Pickups pull in the truck stops all the time park and go to sleep. I really would have appreciated you introducing yourself by rolling down the window since you don't have any decals to support your business. My brother would have gladly moved if we had know it was the mechanic. Thanks in advance Roynale..

called for a flat tire, have been sitting on the side of the road for 5 hours now, answered the phone and cussed me out definitely don t recommend calling him at 5am

Jim arrived on the scene and able to fixed the problem right away. He even reassured my spouse that the truck was not going to blow up on her and took the time to explain to her why. Which i thought was very kind of him. He was very friendly and for sure of himself. I highly recommend Express Diesel because Jim gave great customer service. Jim came, saw and conquered.........

Wow- Jim, I just want to thank you for the incredible service you provided me when my rig broke down. Talk about super fast and reliable. I was stressed about time and you got me going again, faster than I even expected. I hope I don't break down again, but if I do, I know who to call! You guys made a bad situation into a great experience. Thanks again, Jim. I'd recommend your business to my Mother, if she still drove trucks!!

The guys that answered the phone had an attitude and was very unprofessional. After I left this review I received calls from the business number from the guy who originally answered the phone. He was threatening and using words that any adult should not be saying. I'm assuming he didn't like my review. This review is my honest experience opinion I have of this business. I will not recommend for anyone to do business with you and I plan on sharing my experience with my other fellow business owners in the trucking industry. Not on dollar I rather have my trucks taking to Midland.

DO NOT MAKE SAME MISTAKE I DID>>>> Road side Call...truck will not build air to go into gear..Automatic Transmission on Peterbult. I told owner of business it was air issue. Not only could he not find or fix it....but he charged me 295. to show up, 195 .00 hr for 2 hours, 195.00 to hook up computer to read code that was already on the Peterbuit dash screen, and 996.00 dollars later, Nothing was fixed. Do not waist your money on this business.Service: Engine repair

We lost a wheel and tire on our fifth wheel trailer in a terrible rain storm. We were on I20, 50 miles west of Abilene Texas, in the middle of nowhere, on a Saturday, with high winds, pouring rain, 45 degree temp, bad visibility and tons of traffic going by at 70 mph. Not a good place to be.Jim was called and showed up in a reasonable time based on his location. Within about half an hour he fixed us up enough to safely get off the highway to a local RV park in Sweetwater Texas.On Monday Jim had sourced the parts and fixed our trailer enough to get us back on the road. Great job. Nice guy, reasonable price and very conscientious about doing a good job. Thanks Jim.

I had a 16 ft trailer with a bad bearing around 8 pm on a Friday night. I could still drive the trailer but only about 10 mph to get to his shop. He said they open at 8 am so I could park it at the shop and they would get to it in the morning as they couldn't get any parts until the morning anyway. I parked and slept in my truck waiting to get help at 8 am when they opened and the guy Jim that does the trailer work never showed up or would answer or text me back. This is Definately not the kind of help that gets one back on the road when they're broke down. Thanks but no thanks for wasting my time.

I ve read all these reviews and I can only come to the conclusion that these folks were pushy and demanding and wanted results right then and there. My truck blew a turbo and Jim was my first and only call, he told me he d charge me 12 hours to do it so I gave him the job. It doesn t mean he will finish it in 12 hours but I wasn t bent out of shape because I know he has a business to uphold so it would be wrong for me to hold that man to my truck from start to finish and he was out there till 2am. He came back around 8 hours later and finished the job and I m well pleased. He s a solid mechanic and knows his stuff. Everyone is different and these bad reviews sound like they were upset and quick to point fingers but didn t say one thing bad about themselves and I know how people can be that are in a hurry. If I break down in the area again I know who I m calling. Thanks again Jim for outstanding work and sharing knowledge with me!

The people were nice but do not buy used tires from them. The Owner was really nice and worked in a timely manner. BUT, One tire had the tread chewed up and surprisingly it's the better of the 2 I bought. The other tire I was told may need a patch but after it was on I was told that it didn't. After I got to my destination I found the spot he was talking about and there was something embedded in the tire and now there is a bubble on the sidewall and need a new tire I should've used better judgement and bought a new tire from the TA. But as an owner operator I try to save when I can.So $250 for a tire that lasted a week is a little expensive

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. We have been in business for quite some time and are a reputable trucking company. Crooks like this give mechanics a bad name. All we asked for was for them to install the transmission that WE wanted not what he was trying to sell us. It's our truck and our right to put what we want in it. In the end, We received an invoice and were told we needed to pay cash or we wouldnt be getting our truck. He charged me$1853.00 to drain my transmission and tow us 65 miles and for 3.5 hours of labor. Gave us no choice but to pay him, wouldnt talk to us at all about ANYTHING. He just yelled at my husband and myself on the phone and kept hanging up. We paid him, via paypal and our credit card. He then tried to argue and yell at me to fill out a absentee credit card charge form to run my card...even though we paid him via paypal. Ended up having to call the police to get our truck out of his shop, show them our receipt that we had paid in full the 1853.00 and the cops told him since he had a warrant for an assualt he could either go to jail...or release the truck. long story short...TRUST YOUR GUT FEELING and DO NOT USE EXPRESS!!!!!! Big Spring PD will even tell you that!! I feel sorry for anyone they've ever wronged. Truely rotten folks.

My truck u joint is broken 2 miles before this shop at exit 172 frontage rd . I call them and he came after 2 hours at 6 pm . Guy came in black service truck . He said he will get part from odessa tx and he will charge me 2 hours labour 145 per hour to get part from there and total labour will be 742 dollars plus parts price 312 dollars . I said ok i will pay . He said u have to sign first on blank invoice with company info . I did that because m from canada and i want to go home . He also took my truck shaft with him . I think he never trust on trucker .Then he go for parts and told me he will come back with in 2 hour . But when i try to call him at 9 pm for eta His phone is switch off . I wait whole night . He turn on his phone at 7.30 am next morning . He told he will come with in 1 hour again he came late at 11 am . When he came he said he got wrong part . Then he again go for part and said with in 2 hour he will come back . Finally he came at 3 pm with right part before he done his job he said u have to pay first . Then i pay from my credit card . He charged me 430 $ for parts plus 60 $ for road call and 742 $ for labour . Total 1177 .$I said write the part no. On invoice then i was shocked when he take out NAPA parts BIll from his pocket .Napa location located in his same city big spring tx .But he told me last day he will get part from dealer location at odeesa tx and he also charged me 290 $ extra . Plus 118 extra for parts .Finaly i came on hwy after 24 hours . So i never recommend my trucker friends for his shop . They are theifs . They will charge you extra $ and also waste yours time .Try to go some where else for repairs .

Was in Big Spring today and asked how to get to the shop from TA and was given directions, but truck's wheel was shaking so bad I had to cut off and go down a side street so I wouldn't get ran over. So I ended up a couple of blocks down Owen and didn't see the shop so I called back and the guy who answered told me that if I had followed his directions I would have found the shop. THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME!! First thing is if this was an employee he doesn't deserve his job, and if it was the owner he doesn't deserve the business that pays his bills. Totally uncalled for and Thank God I found someone who could help.

My truck broke down at the TA on Big Spring, called him in the morning to get the parts to fix it, give him the parts# to pick up the fuel pump and been waiting for the whole day. He didn t show up, never call back and he turn his phone off. His price is high, but I m willing to pay for it since I m stuck on a load. Time is money, don t waste your time here.

This guy pretty much came to where my truck broke down, had a torn coolant line and said because he didn't see it leaking there wasn't an issue, when clearly there was coolant spilled over the side of my engine, he was too lazy to fix the hose charged me a ridiculous amount and left without fixing my hose.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Called and requested a mobile mechanic to do a simple installation of a pulley belt. They referred me to a guy named "Chris" who ended up breaking my tensioner. Hr said he would fix what he broke but blew me off. Im in the process of filing a civil suit as we speak.

I had 2 turbo bolts break off. He showed up in a timely manner. Got it all checked out. Got parts. Fixed it. And had me rollin. Very prompt courteous service. I would recommend to anyone!!!

I called at 5 pm he jim said an within hour got here like he said n steer blown out was up nready to roll with in 30 minHighly recommend themIf u ever have a blow out near big springs tx and he was reasonable on his pricesThanx again Mr. Jim

They are the worse.. will try to scam you out your money.. when you tell them they are not being professional, they will cuss you out.. I have all the text messages to prove it and will happily send it to anyone that wants it.... STAY FAR AWAY GO TO T.A..

I had some problems with my truck and was unable to find anyone to fix it..till i called jim..they did an excellant job..figured out the problems right away and got me going..i had a good time hangin out with these guys and am very happy with their work

Called this company off NTTS website they charged me over $1000 to go to my truck and change a fuel filter, the truck was not fixed and they suggested I tow it to a dealer... as the owner of the company I was not contacted before they ran my card for the charges either. Bad communication.

This guy is a foul mouth rude no nothing mechanic. He is prejudice against anyone not Anglo Saxon Protestant. And the charges for everything are excessive. Incredible.
