This is why I will give G and M auto care 5 stars. I was traveling from Albuquerque New Mexico to Big Springs Texas to exchange my step kids for the holiday weekend. Of course my car decided to break down and have some issues. After calling a couple places I was Directed to G and M auto care. I was finally able to get my car here without it being towed. Thank the lord. They ran the diagnostic and determined it was something they weren't going to be able to help me with. But they didn't stop there they made sure that they could do anything they could for me by taking me anywhere are making sure that I would be able to get my car towed to the nearest dealership to where my car needed to be fixed. I will forever be thankful for the hospitality And experience during this difficult holiday break. The compassion received was just amazing and more people need to be like that. I thank you for running the business the way that you do and I hope that you have a wounderful Thanksgiving break along with all of your staff. Businesses and owners like this make me miss living in Texas!!!

Highly recommend!!! Brad was so helpful. He made everything possible to have my truck looked at and fixed while being booked with appointments and i was in town for work. Great customer service! If your vehicle breaks down when coming to Big Spring, these are the guys you call.

I came here after traveling through Dallas/Fort Worth during the ice storm from Tennessee for my move. I drove my truck in the ice for six hours and pushed her a bit too hard as ice had accumulated underneath my truck and was causing problems what I thought was a shot wheel bearing due to the ice. While driving over the ice, my check engine light came on. I decided to get off the road for the night and landed in Big Spring, TX. The next day I googled mechanics near the hotel I was staying at and this was the closest one to me and has great reviews! I agree with all the positive reviews! He was very honest and straight forward with his answers. Thank you so much for your help!Service: Vehicle Inspection

I definitely recommend this mechanic. I was having issues with an ac line leaking and I originally took it to another mechanic who tried to screw me over and was saying I needed my whole ac system replaced. But the mechanic at G&M was honest and found the leaking ac line and cost me significantly less than I was quoted at another place. Now my ac works better than it did before.Service: A/C installation & repair

My check engine light started flashing on my way to work one morning. Tried to drive home and it was definitely not functioning correctly. Called around and was told to come in and he would check it out. Turned out to be something minor and he cleared the code and ran a full diagnostic on the spot. In and out. On the first day of the January 2023 freezing rain storm I discovered that my heater core was plugged. Given that we were on our way back to Ontario, Canada this was a serious problem. George was able to take our truck in immediately and had us on the road in about 1 1/2 hours. He was a Godsend! We made it home safely (albeit 2 days late due to the icy roads!)Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have taken my car here before. They did an ok job. So my ac started blowing hot air last week. They checked it out and told me it would be $2900 to replace my ac system. I thought that was a bit high and wanted to check around. I had several places tell me that all the components didn t need to be replaced unless they all failed. So I called and Richard awnsered the phone. When I asked him more about the reason all the components had to be replaced abs if they had tested all of them and told him what pollard Chevrolet said he told me to take it to them to repair it that he didn t want to work on my car and hung up on me. Very unprofessional. I will not be taking my car back to that place again.Service: Vehicle Inspection

My check engine light came on took it to auto zone to see if they can tell me what it was I was told it was a part that was over $600 I called Richard and he told me we r going to start with small stuff first and sure enough the part auto zone told me it needed we didn't need to get saved me over $400 they are honest fast and very respectful Richard even called me the next day to make sure car was running ok. Thanks guys for the hard work and I now have a place to take my car if I have any problemsThanks Nora Martinez

G & M AUTO are the best!!Stranded in Big Springs on Xmas eve & they went above & beyond to fix the Hummer so I could get back on road again to spend Christmas with my family. Fair price.. very professional & knowledgeable. I really appreciate the time & effort they put forth to help me out.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

George, the owner. Is an excellent mechanic and very honest. He is a good person to ask advice from as well. Very fair pricing. And his shop does s good job of keeping your appointment. He communicates very well about what he has done and what your car needs. I've used him for 8 years and would recommend him to anyone. If he knows it is a job they can't handle he is willing to suggest a better place to take your vehicle for the work you need.

I called to get a price on an oil and transmission fluid change and I was told he wouldn't do oil over the phone. When I asked for clarification he said "No sweetheart. I won't give an oil quote over the phone. I have to see the vehicle." Needless to say, not taking my car to him.

My husband and I and our two children were traveling through on our family vacation to the mountains when we had an unexpected issue with our truck. We called G & M and they sent a tow truck to get our truck. They also kindly sent their technician in his own vehicle to bring my family and our small dog in to the shop, as we were about 10 miles from town. When the truck arrived, they had the part waiting for us and was able to get our truck running and us back on the road within a couple of hours. I highly recommend this business!

Using my wife s google access to post this. Frankly think that those limited couple of people who have given less than stellar reviews must either be somewhat unreasonable or perhaps disingenuous. We were traveling from the Midwest pulling our travel trailer when our truck developed a significant brake issue and we limped into Big Spring to George s shop. Despite being extremely busy he helped us find a place to store our trailer and personally drove us to a motel where we could stay overnight while the needed parts from out of town were obtained and the repair completed at a very fair price so we could get back on our journey in a timely manner. Certainly shows why he has been in business over four decades and in my opinion is among the best at his craft.

I used G M Garage for service to my Ford Powerstroke Diesel. The did an excellent job, runs better than it has in a long time. My Parents where driving by from out town and truck broke down at 8:30 am call them from Arlington to see if they would help, they send a tow truck in less then 15min and to there shop and got fixed. They were out by 10:30 and back on the road. I am very thankful.

They're great automotive repair shop they remembered me with my 1999 Nissan Maxima the prices are really fair and their hard-working so take your car there I do appreciate all the service they do.

George Leatham is a walking auto mechanical publication. All you have to do is basically explain the attitude of your vehicle and he can tell you almost with laser accuracy what part inside your vehicle is going bad. I was broken down on the side of the road and managed to get to his shop. He immediately told me what the issue was and I gave him the go ahead to order the parts. Just Another Big Spring Business After Your $! BEWARE! These Guys are Full of it and if you are not a Mechanic or Have a Best Friend Back Home like I do who is They Will Lie to you to get more from you! So Ridiculous that you Just Can't Find Honesty in This Town!

Was given an estimate of $1700 to have brake pads on front replaced and brake pads on rear replaced, and one rear rotor replaced. My son bought the parts for less than $120, and it took the two of us about 45 minutes to get it done.I am a 60 year old woman.Do not go here!!!

If you want to pay double the cost for common maintenance then this is the place for you the dealership in town was cheaper then this shop that says a lot i brought the truck in for a check he did not give me a quote on phone and they did work that i did not ask for my brother called him today and he said he would have to wait till after xmas to give a quote for transmission because thats when there price goes up yeah keep driving folks or spend double your choice

The customer service was poor he had attitude that went somewhere to get a tool and he really racism to my boyfriend i don't recommend no one to go to this place. BAD EXPERIENCE.

Broke down while out of town and the owner tried to price gauge me. He was very rude. I wouldn't trust ANY work he does.

Went out of their way to get the job done quickly we appreciate that greatly but they are high on hourly. 125 and hour.
