Excellent visitor center and rangers station in the middle of the lodging, hiking trails, and convenience store. Huge parking lot as well. You could spend a whole week here if you had the time. Great stop for maps, questions, and gift shopping. They close at 4, though. Recommend a quick walk on the window view trail (0.4mi) while you're there for a great photo op.

This ranger station is absolutely amazing! Thank you to the ranger for spending time with our girls and going over Junior ranger program in detail! He did a really good job engaging with the kids! They loved it! Definitely recommend stopping in and getting some education here before heading out to the park!

Rooms are a little outdated. For what it is though the price is decent. Not a fan of the locks that lock you out of your room. Probably due for an update

Chisos mountains is a truly beautiful area to hike in, I recommend booking a permit for a backcountry campsite for the full expierence. Rangers are friendly and keen to inform you about the park.

A mountain oasis sitting on top of a stunning desert. A truly beautiful area and a great visit. The hikes are great accompanied by beautiful views. We were surprised and shocked at the wildlife with our first visit. The momma bear and her cubs took it over the top. They were so beautiful. Watching the cubs play and run was worth the trip by itself. This is a place that must be experienced and I highly recommend a visit.

Such a beautiful place to go lose yourself in. The views are spectacular in all directions and the hiking is great with plenty of options in both distances as well as levels of difficulty. I plan on going back soon to explore some more. Get out and make Memories!

It s very nice place surrounded by mountains. We could not got hotel booking here for staying. I strongly recommend this place for staying as it is well in the mountains range & may offer very good star grazing view in the night. Very scenic place & good trails are around.

Great views within a short walk from the parking area. This is a must stop if you go to Big Bend NP. Lots of other trails available, both short and long. Plan your trip and pack well!

Great place cooler then The rest of the park. Really should check it out if ur in big bend arguably one of the nicest areas window view trail gives ya a taste of the area like 5 10 min walk. Other more challenging treks are available as well. I had to drive through a bunch a clouds n fog to get up here, but it opened up at the top n was nice n sunny at the top.

Great visitors center anchoring the center of the park. The building and path leading to it are ADA compliant. Inside the center you'll find small exhibits and tons of info on the park and trails beginning at the basin. There are restrooms available around the side of the visitor center but expect a line if you arrive during peak trail times or weekends.

This is an awesome place to go hiking. I love trails there. They have easy trails about 4 minutes in and back to 5 hours in and back. The trails are well marked. If you don't have a map, they have a sign outside displaying the trails, elevations, and distance. If you want to hike at Big Bend National Park, Chios Basin is a nice place to begin.

Breath taking views especially when it rained a little we got to see the water running off the rocks. The Window is an awesome view. Visitor center is very nice and the park rangers were very informative and helpful.

This place has a bigger draw of people because of the location as well as the cabins, access to campsites as well as trails. The most popular being the window view where you can see great sunsets and sunrises. When looking for parking, there's plenty if you travel a little further up on the road behind the cabins. I noticed lots of cars driving around in a circle on the main drive looking for parking. The cabins are a little older and run down, but you are in a remote location at Big Bend national Park in West Texas. This area may have the most traffic with people walking around than the rest of Big Bend.

One of the best places in the park. The window view is beautiful. The path is ADA compliant. There is a shop, restaurant, restrooms, and a shop. There is limited parking so if you are looking to take in the sunset, get there early.

One of the most memorable drives my wife and our friends have ever made! The views are spectacular but the sun was absolutely cooking that day. It was mid-90s in the lower basin and about a 111 on the ridge. We decided to do an early hike and drive for most of the afternoon to the heat of the day. Stopped at Terilingua on the way out which made the trip even more memorable.
