Just had my alternator replaced at car talk. Courteous, timely and on price. Hard to find a good reliable mechanic that s affordable in these days. If that s what you re looking for. I highly recommend.

Even as a local and longtime dealer in the area it is hard to find dependable and reasonable priced auto and truck repair. I have had the pleasure of working with Said for more than a few years now, on not only our inventory and customers vehicles but my personal ones as well. He is more than just a pleasant man to do business with, he cares and will do his best for us, my customers and hopefully someone that reads this. My favorite shop on the planet! The folks at Car Talk are honest, reliable, & extremely knowledgeable in what they do. It s so difficult to find mechanics you can trust in this city. I m happy to say Car Talk is one of those. I truly appreciate the service and they offer great deals too! I was referred here by a friend for my brake work, vehicle inspection and oil change. Not only did Said see me right away for my oil change and vehicle inspection but he checked my brakes (front and back) showed me exactly what needed to be repaired and why and gave me a great quote! I had my car there the next day for the work. Said was professional, friendly, kind and explained EVERYTHING to me where I understood clearly! He took pictures and even showed me the front and back brakes and rotors and how each part worked and a before and after of all of the parts he used. I DEFINITELY recommend CarTalk and Said! Please dont send out coupons where it write ANY repair or maintenance service. (oil change counts as maintrenance srvice by the way) if you do not honor them. Its a waste of paperYour oil change costs 29.99 for the first five courts so if i use this coupon it would be 4.99 plus the tax. But you told me on the phone "No you cannot use that, why would i give you a free oil change, i dont know you." Well it would not be free it would be 4.99 plus tax. Then you try to explain to me what maintenance services mean haha come on...

I took my car for oil change and wheel alignment, staff were very professional and knowledgeable about the car and the wheel alignment. After oil change they checked everything in the car starting from fluids all the way to the tire life and brake life. I was aware of everything in my car and the visit was done quick.Definitely recommend this place!Services: Wheel alignment, Oil change

Came in for a check engine light and they solved it and fixed it at a very reasonable price. Very professional and reliable. I'm so glad I found Car Talk Repair as my go to shop from now on. Very satisfied with their staff and their work efficiency.

Came to the shop with my car vibrating. The staff were knowledgeable of the issue. I came back picked up the same day it was one of the cylinders misfiring. Very reasonable pricing and got the work done very quick. Defenitly recommend this place

Cody at CarTalk has been so helpful with my car repairs and is always so positive and friendly. I've gone here for a few battery issues that were very reasonably priced. He even completed some minor issues without expecting anything in return. He is truly passionate, knowledgable, and good at what he does. I'm so glad I came across this auto repair shop. They are very reliable, and I will continue to use their services.

I am currently getting my Ford Fusion repaired there. The entire engine was FUBAR. I don t even have the car back yet and I just want to express my gratitude to Cody. Going the extra mile doesn t even begin to describe his service. We had a very complicated engine problem and dealing with a warranty and a slew of other issues and Cody made sure every time we only got the best. I could not be more impressed and would recommend this shop to anyone who wants honest, professional, and well done service by a really fantastic and caring mechanic. 10/10Service: Engine repair

Went to Car Talk for the first time to fix a simple fuse that went out. Cody generously bought a new fuse and installed it free of charge and on top of that he washed and vacuum the car! He is a honest and true mechanic who loves what he does I'll highly recommend his wonderful and professional service to all family and friends!

Love this place! I recommend Cody and his staff to anyone. I came by due to a flat tire and they patched up the hole in no time! Cody let me know that my car was a couple thousand miles overdue for an oil change. I'm used to a long wait anywhere else so I settled in, but before I could finish my coffee they were done! I spent very little time there and didn't break the bank.

This place is the absolute best! Cody at CarTalk Repair accurately diagnosed and quickly repaired the ball bearings on my truck today. Not only did I get the best value on the repair, they also gave me a FREE car wash and vacuum. The customer service at CarTalk was outstanding! It was a pleasure to do business with Cody. He is a true expert and professional! I highly recommend taking your vehicle to CarTalk Repair!

Since being taken over by new ownership, I no longer trust this business. I took my vehicle in to have the starter replaced. I was charged over $300 for a part that was listed online for $70. When I asked about this markup, Saeed argued that I recieved "free" towing. A few days after I got my vehicle home, I realized my concealed firearm was missing. The bag I kept it in was still there along with the bullets and magazines. The bag was even still concealed under the seat where I had it. Someone unzipped the bag, took just the firearm itself and left all the rest hidden under the seat. When I stopped by the business to ask about this, no one came to the front counter. The business was completely open - garage doors up and everything. I waited several minutes and called out "hello" but no one came. I left a note regarding the matter but was never contacted - a point I noted in my police report.Service: Oil change

Great shop ! It is great to finally find a repair shop that does the right repairs at the right price, on time. Had to have a complete a/c system overhaul, and it was done professionally and completely. System works like a champ now, which is definitely needed in hot Houston. I needed to replace the starter on a vehicle. I spoke with the owner, Zyed, on the phone who texted me a quote for the job. I liked the quote he gave and told him I would have my vehicle towed to his shop first thing the next morning. He said that sounded great and that he opened at 8am and to bring my vehicle over. The next morning I had my vehicle towed to his shop. Once we showed up there were construction workers working and paving the parking lot in front of his shop and we continued to have the tow truck park in front even though construction workers were trying to turn us away. The owner wasn't present but one of his employees was. They called him so that he could speak to me on the phone. He told me that the landlord showed up after we spoke on the phone to tell him the parking lot would be paved and he couldn't have any cars in his parking lot. Don't know why that matters because if he's working on my vehicle it would be in the shop and not the parking lot. I find hard to believe he didn't have prior notice. I was the only customer showing up this early for repairs and he could've simply called me. He told me he wouldn't be able to work on my car for 3 days and that even though the tow truck was sitting in front of his shop with my car on it I would have to TOW IT BACK to my home. What the hell?! Less than 12 hours ago he said bring it on over. I ended up having to tow my car BACK HOME and find another shop to work on my vehicle. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME! Don't come here unless you want to play games.

I am so impressed by this place. I had a headlight go out in my car. The owner was so nice and gracious towards me. He offered to help me install it for free. I would have been happy to pay him for his time, but he insisted. He earned a customer for life, because an honest mechanic is hard to find. He even offered to wash my car before I headed out. WOW, this place rocks. Great customer service- my car is getting older and I will definitely be back for future oil changes and car repair.

These gentleman have assisted me quickly each time I need it. They are very accommodating and trustworthy. They even provided me with a detailed digital explanation regarding the vehicle's deficiencies. It was a weight off my shoulders to know I was and am in good hands. I purchased a groupon for wheel alignment for my husbands truck. He needed a list of fixes so we decided to take it up to CarTalk. We had to get an air filter change, oil change, new windshield wipers, and inspection in addition to the alignment. All was done in an reasonable time frame and price! The couple/owners are very friendly and personable. Will be back!

Wanted to thank the mechanics here for fixing my ambulance. I took this unit across Houston to mechanic to mechanic for an electric short , that kept killing the battery . 6 mechanics later and I finally had the issue resolved . We brought our car there as second opinion. After their initial assessment several works were recommended and we proceeded but our problem wasn t resolved. We brought our car back and after more work and charges nothing changed. We brought our car to another dealership and we were told that no adequate parts were used. The manager, Cody Lintz was contacted but he failed to give a good reason. He sent me a text without regrets or refunds. I won t recommend this shop repair. They are careless, unprofessional and unaware of what needs to be done.

Do not go here for alignments. Went in with a Groupon for an Alignment job. For starters, I was told it would take 1 hour and it took close to 2.5. When I got my car back the alignment was much worse than when I took it in. When I brought it back they tried to blame it on my tires...which were new. They took 8 hours to do a wheel rotation and when they gave my car back to me the alignment was still screwed. In addition, they told me they were going to secure a loose brake line and did not. The owner is a nice guy but I would not go back for any work.

I have the uncanny ability to lock my keys in my car. It happened again today and I began my usual journey to the closest auto shop. Frustrated and tearful, I asked at the first stop if I could borrow a kit to open my car door. They apologized but directed me to Car Talk. Cody, the general manager didn t ask any questions. He just told me to hop in his truck and asked me how to get to my car. He opened my car door within 30 seconds. He expected nothing in return and was so he genuine. I cannot express enough how thankful I am for him. I was distraught and he was so helpful. I ll definitely be back for my next service.

Cody and his team are helpful and knowledgeable. They always look for a way to help the customer at a no BS kind of approach. They dont make you pay for unnecessary care, and have the customers best interest in mind. I highly recommend this establishment for car repairs, they guarantee their work and they are excellent at customer service.
