Came in for an ac repair to fix my ac. Didn't know I needed to let a mechanic know I had dual ac so now my front works and not the back.( my children sit in the back sweating) They didn't even bother to check the back. Now trying to double charge me to look at something that should be looked at from the beginning. When a customer wants something done they want it completely done and done the right way. Disappointed to say the least. I texted the number and still hadn't gotten a response. As a owner myself I want to make it right. I called multiple mechanics and they stated there is no way we should be charged twice when we paid for service. This is a review right, hopefully the owner will make it right. I have faith in him

My experience with Cortez Car Care is always pleasant. I receive great service. The staff is always friendly, courteous and professional.I think they are a little pricey, and you know in advance, but the job is always done right the first time...so I gladly pay.

I had to bring my car back to Cortez because the valve cover gasket they installed was leaking. It was suggested that I come early Tues morning. They knew on Friday what part was needed. I arrived at 9am after sitting there 2 hrs at 11am someone was sent to go get the part. After another hour and 40 mins. They sent someone to get another part for my car. All this time letting me sit there without telling me what's going on with my car and in the meantime people who came after me were in and out. My car wasn't ready until 4:30. The mechanic lied about the reason a new valve cover was replaced. Evidently it was damaged while in the shop for them not to tell me about it or charge me for it. Guess they thought I wouldn't know the difference. I was totally dissatisfied with spending my whole day there. They need to be more efficient and honest with customers. Your response is not accurate..

I once thought this was a business with integrity and professionalism until recently. I went to them for ac work on my Cadillac starting in February in preparation for the summer heat. My ac made noises and the air worked intermittently. After 3 visits and nearly $3,000 spent, the noise has stopped but my ac is still working intermittently. They still do not know what is wrong and refuses to continue trying without charging more money. Additionally, My car was returned without properly putting all cosmetic parts back in place and I am sweating. Yes, the last visit was not so pleasant as I personally became agitating with their lack of willingness to pinpoint the problem and resolve it while acknowledging the inconvenience. I am now out of money, hot, and in need of competent and honest work. Oh, I have Car Sheild and all ac parts are covered but documentation of the need to replace the condenser was incomplete by Cortez so I m stuck. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed and I unsatisfied.Service: Air conditioning

This place is awesome!!! Literally felt like I went to families house while my car was being repaired. Unlike majority of repair shops the staff not only inform you of the issue with your vehicle but they educate you on the functions of the parts needing to be repaired or replaced. They answered every question I had the vibe of the entire facility was just warm and welcoming. Great movie selections while you wait. And the price! My stomach was turning while I was waiting on the estimate. And I couldn't believe how reasonable and affordable it was! I Literally asked "that's it?!" You guys are AMAZING and have definitely earned a repeat customers!!! Those of you reading this Go to Cortez Car Care! They are definitely worth it.

Very friendly, upfront and honest about exactly what s wrong with you car. Fast service if your car is not too involved as far as labor is concern. Prices are very reasonable compared to the dealership. Plus they love Jesus so you can never go wrong with that combination at all. I definitely recommend them to anybody. Excellent service and very reasonable prices. They were very fast fixing our vehicle and it ran way better when we got it back. We had called 5 places to get quotes and estimated times. We took a chance and tried them and so glad we did. HIGHLY recommend this car care center for repairs and engine work.

Honestly, I've been waiting to post, I've had 3 services done here. IM SO VERY PLEASED!! The prayer on the oil sticker did it for me!! Absolutely, professional, family oriented, clean & comfortable waiting, and of course, great service! Thank you very much. 10 out of 10 I Highly recommend!!

I took my Ford F250 in to this shop on 10-16-23 for what is known as a death wobble. The truck was put on the rack and I was told that the parts in the front end looked tight and was recommended to change 2 parts that were not visible while on the truck and I agreed. I got my truck out of the shop on Thursday and I was traveling home in interstate 10 when the truck went into the death wobble again. So I was recommended to take it to Texas off Riad and suspension were it was put on the rank again and the technician ask me to come see what he seen in about 5 minutes of being there. The ball joint and the short drag on the passenger side had ALOT of play anyone that knew anything could of see it. Cortez charged me over $600 to do the work that did nothing. So if you need suspension work i DO NOT RECOMMEND these folks at CORTEZ

First off, let me start off by saying I know my way around a vehicle in some case. i ve changed starters, alternators sensors throttle body pretty much the basics. so when I couldn t figure out what was wrong with my 2015 Chevy Malibu I bring it up there. I told the gentleman that the key was stuck in the ignition, and it wouldn t turn over. So you would think that they would get in contact with me in a couple days to tell me what was going on nothing I had to keep texting a number to get some answers and on top of that, they didn t even relay the messages I was sending. They lied to me and told me that my battery cable was loose and they got the key out of the ignition. which I m not a stupid person and I know I change battery cables and batteries often. after a month of being in there, they told me they changed the fuel pump and charge me $800 to do it. then they told me I had a bad head gasket. I could ve did that at my house. I was waiting them to tell me exactly what s wrong with my vehicle and they couldn t do that so they had to keep coming up with stuff they could try. they wanted to charge me $800 and on top of that $2000 to change the head gasket plus getting it inspected do not waste your time on these people because they will rip you off and not get in contact with you about ripping you off.. I repeat, do not take your vehicle over there.. from August 2 all the way from today .. at one point I didn t hear anything from them for 13 days and I had to get in touch with them

I am visiting from out of town and had went to a nearby franchise only to find out there was a power outage in the area. The guys next door at discount tire directed me to this place for AC work. I walked in and was greeted by Joey. Told him bout air was blowing but not cold. He ran a diagnosis on it and came back with a solution. After seeing where the dye had the leak he took me so I can see where it was so I can let my mechanic know when I get home. I like the professional atmosphere that he represented for the company and answered questions that I had. The price I had paid for the diagnosis and for the recharge was better than what I would have been charged at the place I originally went and probably not getting the chance to see the root of the problem. Thank you for your knowledge and showing me exactly what was wrong and not being one of those jerks who tries to upsell things. Great thanks for the honesty and COLD air!!!!

This place is ridiculously bad. Took my car over there. Was charge different than what I was told. Damage tf out my rim. Didn t offer to have it repaired. Did half of a job. Had to go somewhere else to get the work completed. I understand things happen and out of your control. But having common courtesy and understanding goes a long way. I ll never take any of my vehicles to this facility. Just not professional as someone who s in a customer base business should be.Service: Tires

I m pretty sure they do decent work, but they re the place you don t want to go to unless you know what s wrong with your car. They ll give you an unneeded service when they know you don t need it and charge you for it. No refund at all, it s sad.Service: Wheel alignmentService: Wheel alignment

This is a very friendly and helpful establishment. It's a joy to see a family business such as this one where they care and want to make sure your vehicle is safe to drive and repair for longevity. Cortez has consistently done an excellent job in repairing my vehicle. It's the Smart Carcare warranty person, Bill that I found to be disgustingly rude and non-compliant in his end of the process that caused me great expense, unlike what I had experienced over the last 5 years in dealing with Omega Carcare service.

We broke down on the way back to Houston and I found Cortez Auto Care on Yelp. Warning, if you break down don t call Beaumont Police for help. We were just passing through Beaumont and knew nothing of this city. Thought to call police to help us since my pregnant wife and 3 other people were on the side of I10. They called a wrecker service that ripped us off big time. Call Lupe at Cortez to advise you how to get your car to them. Very genuine service. He will give you several options to get your car fixed. Not the highest price and take it or leave it. Did an excellent job and I was able to bring my car back to Houston safely.Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic

I needed a wheel bearing replaced, and originally went somewhere else first, where I was told it would be about a 3 hour wait. I got online and searched for a few places near by, and Cortez Car Car told me to swing by and they'd fit me in. I was in and out of there in about 45 minutes with the wheel bearing replaced, and for about 30% cheaper than the first place I went to. The staff were wonderful, and a pleasure to do business with. I will definitely use them again in the future if the opportunity arises. Thank you for your awesome service, Cortez Car Care!

I brought my truck in for a 3rd cylinder misfire. Cortez found the cause, and despite having a completely full parking lot, had my truck back and running within a day, and didn t overcharge or try to gouge me for unnecessary work! I ve used the Cortez family for years, and have always had excellent service and fair dealings. I highly recommend any of their locations

Replaced fans in a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta I bought when I could not find anyone to work on this car. Great communication and got to the job right away with a fair price. I highly recommend them and definitely use them again. Very trustworthy
