My first time using a shop. I found them on google and went base on reviews best decision I made. Staff was super friendly and had me back on the road same day. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend them

These guys are extensive professionals you are getting the best at what you pay for, my navigator had fuel problems they replace the fuel pump and there was more going on they figured it out and got me back on the road,

I ve used Gentry s a few times and I am very very strict on who I let work on my vehicles. I trust these guys to the max, always honest and great prices. Don t go anywhere else unless you want to be ripped off! I will be a customer for life!!! Setting up an appointment for my third fix now.

Stopped by on the way through Texas and had some issues with my car. Took it to Joe Gentry Automotive. Their team was quick, efficient, and got me back on the road very quickly. Much appreciated for their expertise & customer service. I brought my son's car to the shop to have the air conditioning looked at for a quote. I called them back the next day to check on the progress. They told me they found a leak in the seal. They had already replaced them and the car was ready to be picked up. We also asked them to look for a coolant leak. They pressured it up and couldn't find a leak. They believed that it may have been a loose hose so it was tightened at no charge. The total was $275. It's amazing and refreshing to see such a high level of honesty and integrity. My rear differential was leaking on my 2000 Chevy Silverado Mr. Joe cleaned it up replaced the gaskets and pinion seals and did a wonderful job. Keep up the good work go to work Mr. Joe thank you.

My truck runs great ,although my work tools were stolen from my truck ,which they had made it clear that nothing would happen (I asked if I should get them off ,but he said not to worry) 1300.00 dollars worth of tools which I have no response from them had to make a police report) I also have to say that I was lied 5 times that my truck was been finished up ,my truck was in there on January 24 and I did get back till march 10,and that because I showed up and truck was torn apart,,I had to literally get on them,,,,the worse part is my tools that I use for work and still haven't heard anything,,,but can they lie. ABSOLUTELY ,,,,When Mr. Gentry ran the shop I never experienced that type of service, time has change and integrity

I took my vehicle in for routine service and had all the parts. My vehicle needed the spark plugs changed and a motor mount replaced. 3 times he changed the price on me. And he didn't even use all the parts. To make matters worse I don't believe the spark plugs were calibrated correctly. Perhaps if I had been a man I would have received better service. Not impressed with their work.

I have been taking my vehicles to Joe Gentry's for over 28 years. He has always done an excellent job at a great price. I trust Joe with all my vehicles because has is a very honest that has always treated me fairly. Thanks Joe, for decades of trusted automotive servicing!

I've used this place twice now. Both times I've gone in with problems that I assumed were going to be relatively expensive fixes. I've walked out twice now paying roughly 10-20% of what I thought I was going to have to spend to fix my car. Just goes to show that these folks fix your car with what it needs, and doesn't do a whole bunch of other things just to add on to your bill. I'll be using them for the foreseeable future.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Great place to get your vehicle fixed. My husband and I have been coming here since we moved to Baytown 1 1/2 years ago. They do an awesome job every time we go there. Prices are very reasonable and we are never disappointed with their work. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Gentry!!

This shops takes advantage of you as soon as you step in. Customer service is so bad they don t even call you when your car is ready for pickup. They charged $800 for switching out fuel injector sensor, air filter, Pcv hose and gasket. This Eddie guy is dishonest, you are better off with any other shop.

I was part of the group that lost their cars in the flood. I had the wrecker take it to Gentry's. I asked the tow driver about the service and he said I had made the correct choice. I have not really dealt with mechanics here in the past, consider this my experience. Went in several days later and we discussed job scope of replacing a long block, [OEM], and a complete estimate. I knew were backed up, but Ed looked the vehicle over, and looked at some parts I did not want used, durable i.e. belts, hoses and electrical components. He gave me a date, I did not check on the vehicle early, called the office on the date promised, got me my total and had handled the insurance ahead of starting work. Paid out and have not had any problems.Good people working hard to meet customers standards.

Great shop, great staff always gets me in and out. Feel as if they're my personal mechanics.. if they find a problem they always call asn ask before proceeding. Hard to find mechanics that you can trust anymore. I TRULY TRUST GENTRY...

Did a great job on my son's Dodge Ram AC. Did the work in short amount of time. It is cooling better than it ever has. I would highly recommend them.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Nothing but problems from when my fathers truck was dropped off till it was picked up (1 month in the shop). Truck went in for engine work due to flood. Truck was broken into while it was there which they had not been locking the truck. They would leave the truck unlocked. Tried to tell my father that his truck did not come with what was stolen when the truck was dropped off. Worker told an officer that they had had 8 break-ins within the last month but yet they hadn't fixed the problem of upping their security system? Truck smelled like cigarettes, which my father does not smoke. Picked up the truck, my father asked for a print out of all the material they had bought for the truck and the worker refused to give him his receipt of the things the truck needed claiming he couldn't give it to him, and the check engine light came on the next day. Will never ever bring any vehicle here again and I'd suggest no one should either.

They are excellent mechanics. Pricing is better than market prices. I trust them. I know they are not taking advantage of me. All company trucks and personal vehicles all go there for any repairs

First off, Don't let them do any work without giving you a written quote. Diagnosing the problem should be charged separately from the work/repairs, or should you decided to let them do the work, some shops deducte the diagnosis charge from the repair charges. I did a lil research and found out that it is illegal for a shop to preform work on your vehicle without your consent, which forces you to pay an unknown amount to get your vehicle running again. This happened to me here at this shop. And should you not want to pay, if they already started working on your car without knowing, they can put a lean on your vehicle. Also, forcing you to repair or replace items that don't need repair is legal as well. This happened to me as well at this shop. If your not mechanical inclined- this is not the shop for you-You will get taken advantage off. If you want to spend alot more money than you should and let them replace whatever they want without letting you know, then have at it.

Joe Gentry's Automotive has gone down hill. They were telling me one price and that this and this that needed to be done. I took it to another shop and they were saying something completely different and 1000 difference. The car is fixed now and running. If Joe Gentry would not get so offended when people are telling him things and not investigating them. He might see the problem them.

Joe Gentry Automotive has seriously gone downhill. Ever since I started taking my car in January it seems to be a domino effect of problems. Long story short I ended up having to get my head gasket replaced because they missed certain things before. When I got it back a check engine light was on and ended up being a misfire in cylinder 3 (Gentrys replaced all the spark plugs), at this point I was over them and went to another mechanic and we discovered the plug was put in too tight so it was cracked and bent. Replaced it, engine light came on for a misfire in cylinder 1. I took it back to gentrys (because the spark plugs were paid for before so they should fix their mistake). I take it back and they begin telling me they want to look at some other things and when I let them know I don't trust them with my vehicle Joe Gentry himself gets all worked up and tells me to leave. Their work and customer service was very disappointing this time around and I have always recommended them to friends or family but this experience has opened my eyes. I would rather spend my money else where to get things done correctly instead of waste my time here again!

I had a 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic and I took it over there and they gave me a great price on my Broken Value Spring and this was 3 years ago and my truck is still running strong and I told my mom and she went over there to get her car fix for something lol I forgot but she got a great price for whatever it was and she haven t went back in over 2 years now so thank y all for the Great Service!
