I give this place 3 stars because they did identify and fix my car problem really quickly. BUT I suspect that was because they aren't real busy because they are so OVER PRICED compared to other mechanics.That price does come with a one year warranty. But the warranty is not optional which means you can't not include it to make your bill cheaper. They also over price their replacement parts they buy you by nearly double and will not let you go buy the part yourself and to just put in for you. These same circumstances happened to us twice. I also noticed the bill they gave did not show how many hours they spent working on my vehicle which makes the labor charge seem completely random (and is probably also over priced). But their mechanics due seem to be good quality and quick workers. The management is definitely too greedy though, and NEEDS to be more willing to work with customers.

My A/C quit blowing cold on my way home from work, pulled into Automotive Care Specialist with no appointment. Went into their office and was met by a very nice lady named Kim, she got a mechanic to check my a/c out with no wait at all. They were very honest told me what the problem was and how much it would cost in less than 30 minutes. They were ready to do the fix right then and even offered me a ride if I wanted to leave it. I told them I would bring it back the next morning and they said they would get right on it. I was so impressed with them I had them take care of some maintenance items that needed to be done also (power steering fluid flush/change, transmission fluid flush/change and filter, front and rear differential oil service) Very impressed at how fast they got everything done considering they had to pull my whole dash out to change evaporator coil for a/c. If you need any work done on your vehicle go here, you will be satisfied. Kim will take care of you, she stays in touch and let's you know how everything is going.

I recently brought my truck to Automotive Care Specialists in Baytown. I did not have an appointment, but they were able to not only fit me in to check out the problem, but they were also able to fix it right there (bad timing belt and idlers). The mechanic was kind enough to take pictures on his phone of the problem and show me. He also took the time to take care of a few other minor problems with my truck free of charge. The receptionist was very polite and made sure I was comfortable while I waited. I am new to Texas so everyone was very friendly in giving suggestions about the area. The price was reasonable and the wait time was only the time it took for them to make the repair, my truck did not sit without being looked at or worked on for more than the 5 minutes it took me to check in. Would definitely recommend highly!!

After a horrible series of events including multiple car problems (breaking down on I-10 and locking our keys in the car with the lights on), Automotive Care Specialists saved the day. Their staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. We thought we would be stranded in Baytown for at least two days, but they quickly fixed our car and we were out of town the next day. Thank you so much for all of your help, we are so grateful that you were able to fix our car and get us back on the road so quickly.

DO NOT GO HERE! I was charged $90 for them to put my car on a lift and look up, they then said they would have to drop my fuel tank which would cost me $300 just to look for the problem. I said no, that I thought there was a recall on the vehicle and was taking it to a dealership. Before I picked up the car I received two calls from this mechanic saying there was no recall or coverage on my vehicle, they said they talked to the dealership. Well I also talked to the dealership. I got a complete recall on my vehicle for no cost by the dealership. !

Picture this. Woman and toddler are stranded because their car broke down. Vehicle gets towed to this shop and 3 hours later they hit mom with a $250 repair bill. This may not appear to be an issue but why are they charging $250 to replace a battery? Seriously? She argues the point after she calls her husband who is in the middle east working and the shop owner tells her she can come get the car and take it elsewhere. Anyone knows that you can take your car to any shop and they will diagnose the battery and replace it with a new one without charging you $125 to tell you you need a new battery. If you are a MAN you should keep your WOMAN away from this crook. He should be ashamed.

Do NOT take your car here. Think of mechanics as swindlers who will try to overcharge you and rip you off? These are the people that give mechanics a bad name. Called to get an estimate on installing an oil pan w/ my parts and they give me a quote of OVER 700 DOLLARS!?! Quick 45 min. job.. unbolt, replace gasket, bolt back up. I've done it before and the only reason i didn't do this work myself is that I am working out of town and am not allowed to work on my vehicle where i stay. Next place I called gave me the proper quote for a job of this type at $160. Over charging by more than 400% yea right, it was all i could do not to bust out laughing when the lady gave me the quote for over $700.

Very unhelpful!!! Needed to have a ball joint pressed into a spindle for my truck and the lady was rude. Gave us a hard time about doing a very simple installation when I brought them the spindle and the new ball joint. Would NOT recommend this auto repair!!!

Had several repairs done here. Close to home and fast service. Saved me lots of grief getting my work truck back on the road in less than a day. I stood to loose much money with a broke down truck.
