Skip this location and go somewhere else. The lady we had experience with should work with the TSA. Like them, she also had the inability to know and apply their own policies and rules.

First of all it's not their job to be nice y'all come up there to get your driver's license, IDs whatever y'all need. The only time if someone is being rude to you if you don't have all the documents that they require in their place of business they're not there to be your friend they're there to do their job.Stop crying so much and get over y'all self's.

It must be a requirement that you are rude to get a job here. We were greeted by the most curt and sour person I ve ever experienced at a DPS. This folks, is your taxpayer $$ hard at work.

Had the "privilege" of traveling to the Bay City office 3 times in the last two months and can I just say how amazing those ladies are?! They were amazing! Compared to Angleton, they were a total breath of fresh air and were kind, informative, and helpful. Working with the public isn't easy, but they did it with patience and kindness. They received compliments from several people each time I was there. Keep it up, Bay City!

Friendly and efficient service. Moved in from out of state. They helped me gather the necessary documents to transfer my license. Definitely a better experience than where I came from (Pennsylvania), those people hate their jobs and let you know it, also the wait times up there are unbearable! I was in and out today, thank you!

Highly organized. Got an 8:00am appointment - only 2 other people in line outside the building. They let you in one at a time, take your temperature, check in with your appointment letter by scanning the barcode and issue a waiting room number. Only 5 or 6 seats in the waiting room all spaced better than 6 ft. Everyone is masked, plenty of hand sanitizer and they practice distancing - so, I felt very safe. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! Well worth a pleasant drive through the countryside.

The DMV in Bay City have one of the best Customer Services. They are very friendly helpful, they ladies there make you feel really welcoming. I will recommend this place to do Your license.

My mom took my sister to do her driving test today and they came back upset. My mother's English is not perfect, but she tries. She is very respectful until pushed. Apparently one of their employees named Lisa, was very rude and treated them horribly. I believe that people should not be treated like this. I work third party for alot of government facilities and treat everyone in a respectable manner. This lady needs to be reprimanded!

The people who work here are all phenomenal! Forget what you've heard about waiting in the DPS (or DMV in some states). The people here are super patient, pleasant, personable, a d helpful. I came here on a Saturday to renew my driver's license (they were open to accommodate renewals during the lockdowns) - I was a little anxious because I was late. Thankfully, the three ladies who were there were everything I described. They were real public servants and they deserve to be commended.

Arrived at 10 am on a Tuesday. Was able to sit in the waiting room. Waited for 15 minutes for my turn at the counter. Gladys was the one that helped me to renew my drivers license. Ten minutes later and I was done. I drove 50 minutes from Angleton because I heard the lines here were shorter. Glad I did.

Stay far away from this office. The woman there was extremely rude from the start and refused to be of any help. Terrible enough to call and report them.

Delsi took care of us! She was so, so, so, so sweet!!!!! It was a nice change from the rude people over at Angleton! I will now take my business to Bay City, I will gladly take my money to them! My husband is a disabled veteran, and they treated him with respect and care! Thank you Texas Department of Public Safety in Bay City for being such great people!

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. Zero people skills. There is an older hispanic woman who is horrendous. She does not need to be in contact with the public in any manner.The weather here is colder than normal and she REQUIRED an elderly woman to STAND outside of the building because the lobby was full. She would not allow her to stand in the hallway, out of the weather! Complete disrespect in every aspect. Will NEVER give a positive recommendation. Will only recommend that the state revokes this woman's job.She was rude to my husband, who has a speech impedement.When will people learn that being kind to one another costs nothing...?

Excellent place to get a driver's license and superb staff. Please do not forget your birth certificate or passport. I forgot mine but was able to return home and came back to the office and was still helped in a timely manner. I was very pleased with my experience.

Not busy like the one in Angleton, which was GREAT, BUT sorry girls y'all are rude and before you go talking about the person who left upset because he still needed even more documents than he had and has been dealing with this for months, you might want to make sure his family is not still sitting in the office to overhear your conversation. That, young lady, was extremely unprofessional.My father is a veteran and retired, he deserved better than to be talked about where others could hear you complain. If you do not like your job, go somewhere that you do please.

People that work here are amazing even though we weren t able to accomplish everything because we were missing some paperwork all the ladies were sweet, patient and went way beyond to help me with my permit. Caring and wonderful people work here, definitely recommend it.

The ladies in Bay City were very helpful and kind to me. Be respectful and you will be treated with respect. There are only 2 ladies and a whole LOT of folks! Be patient. They can t answer the phone so don t try calling. Calls go directly to Austin and you won t get through.

Considering I've been to numerous DPS visit, and some DMVs in other states. This was fastest visit in my life. 3pm seen at 340pm. Not bad, compared To Angleton DPS, its awesome. Only time I have seen shorter is when I show up 1 1/2 before they open and 3rd in line. I see lots of complaints, most tell of a Rude Person there, I didn't see any there like that today. They we're nice and even smiled. If you think Bay City DPS is bad go to Angleton. The people in bay city are spoiled.

Highly implore to just head on over the the Angleton DMV and skip the Bay City location entirely. One week straight... O N E week straight, lines of people all the way out to the parking lot and the young woman who works their is getting snippy and others leaving their family in the hallway, where it's cool, instead of out in the 100+ weather outside. The women working there are extremely slow, somewhat unprofessional, unpleasant to deal with. The woman who works there stated YELLING at people to move their vehicle in the back by the dumpster so that she can go get lunch and how the nerve to say to EVERYONE "well yall want me to eat or not? So that I can do my job, so... what!?". Yikes, but then again this is matagorda county after all

If they are going to require you to stand outside for an undetermined amount of time in the Texas weather, they need to provide more shading, possible fans, and seating. It is ridiculous to make you wait out side for sometimes hours, and snap at you for setting foot inside the building to assess wait time. In addition, they should have the necessary documents required printed and displayed inside and out. You get in line outside, stand for close to an hour or more, finally make it inside, wait another hour or more, only to find out you need more documents to get whatever it is you need. Talk about a broken bureaucracy

I don't know the lady's name but I went to renew my CDL today and it's getting so difficult to renew your CDL it's almost like the state doesn't want you to have one but she was so helpful and with all the CDL height I forgot that I'm an avid motorcycle rider and she spotted that right away and put it on there for me. Thank you ma'am whatever your name is I'm sure you'll remember me and that instance

Efficient operation. Pays to make an appointment since I moved ahead of some with no appointment. Be sure have all of the paperwork and identification that's needed.

Biggest issue is there isn't a phone that rings in that building. It's a horrible long wait only to find out that your missing information they need and have to reschedule.
