I just have to share yet another fabulous experience with Main Street automotive in Bandera Texas. I ll be honest my trust in automotive shops was 0.0%, maybe even into the negative numbers. Definitely negative experiences.As a short background, I had a Nissan Xterra that sat for nearly 2 years of my driveway, because no one in Bandera could seem to pinpoint what issues were. I even had one shop tell me to drive it until the wheels fell off , completely, disregarding the fact that this is my only transportation and my safety, and sometimes life, depend upon it.When I totaled my Ranger, I had been so impressed with the work that Main Street had done on it, that I took a huge leap of faith and put the total money into repairing all the mystery ailments of the Xterra. As a surprise for me, the mystery ailments weren t at all a surprise to Main Street and they fixed it beautifully.I always get my oil changed there as they do a bumper-to-bumper review of everything and I m telling you these people do not tell you you need something that you don t. They will tell you if they see something that you can expect might need attention so you re not blindsided, unlike the other auto shop. They care about my safety. They did me so right on my Xterra when I was just in the worst spot ever.If you want an auto shop that you can honestly trust, I can t recommend them enough.If you live in Bandera, they are on 16 like you re heading to Medina on your left across from K and M auto. They are open on weekdays. They have quite a number of bays so if you make an oil change appointment with you they get you done quick.My Xterra has 222,000 miles on it. It s running better today than when I bought it at 170,000 miles.Thank you, Main Street!!

Clean and family friendly facility! Kids area with seating for parents and separate adult tv area with couches. Bathroom has changing table and there s even a coffee and water area too. Crystal was so accommodating and friendly while Shawn was informative and timely. Passing through Bandera and low tire pressure indicator came on, drove in through here and they fixed it up super quickly! Took a star off because the guy was on the phone the entire time and made it clear he did not want to do the repair and kept telling us his partner was on lunch break when all we needed was the tires pumped up and the only other place in Bandera was closed.

Made appointment, oil change was completed in about 20 min. All fluid levels toped off tires press checked. Payed about $20 less than at the dealership. Clean, professional staff. Very friendly. Pointed out battery was not charging as it should. Gave estimate no pressure. The old battery was 6yrs old. Will be back with other vehicles.

A very friendly and honest mechanic shop. Price's are fair and mechanics really know what there doing. It's the only mechanic shop I use for my truck.

Very nice shop. The counter staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Had my clutch replaced. I ended up paying less than expected and car is running like new. They have a nice, cool lobby area if you need to wait. When I dropped off my car, they gave me a ride back to my place. I appreciate their work and customer service.

Extremely easy, professional, and fast. We were traveling and the Alternator went bad, made it to the shop, and in the time that toke us to have lunch (less than an hour) car was ready and perfectly fixed. We got in a jam and needed two new trailer tires. This was the first place I saw and man did we get lucky. These guys are great. All the way from whomever was working the front desk, good prices and eager to help. They had me back the trailer to a empty bay and within 10 min we were out the door. Very clean interior, waiting room and bathroom. Wished I lived closer so I could use the more often. Will absolutely be back when in Bandera.

Always professional, fair, and honest. One of the very few mechanics I call actually trust. I am originally from San Antonio, but have family and friends in Bandera and visit quite regularly. I currently live in another state. I do try and get all my oil changes there whenever I'm in town. And they are fairly priced.

On short notice, they let me bring my Jeep in. Had an alternator and belt replaced. I was back on the road by the next day. The vibe here is friendly and honest. I was communicated with clearly, and treated with respect. And .my Jeep is running great. Thanks for the great service!

I had car alignment in Nov 2022. They did great job. Fair price, nice waiting lobby with donuts and coffee. Very smooth. Very happy.

Needed brakes on 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500. Had inspection done at 3 pm and truck was ready next day at 12 pm. This is a 10 year old truck that had never had brakes replaced. It needed everything, shoes, pads, rotors, drums, disc's. Local shop as we live in Bandera. Very busy place. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Didn't try to rip us off. Said we could use same drums and braking would be safe but they showed us everything and drums had grooves in them. Glad we found this hometown repair place.

I love these guys even though my radio worked when I dropped my car off and it doesn't work now, lol.... that in comparison to the problems I've had with my car when I left it with them and what they have fixed for me at a very affordable price I have no complaints. For a small-town mechanic shop they could really take advantage of somebody that doesn't know a lot about cars or somebody that's been in a bind like I've been the couple times I've taken my car in there...I was in desperate need of some things to be fixed and they were right there picking up the pieces for me and finding me the lowest cost possible in doing so. I cannot put it into words exactly how wonderful these people are, it's a nice little family-run place and if you have any car issues this is the place to take your . I would drive from the city to Bandera just to take my car to these guys. Thanks guys for all you do for me and everybody else appreciate you!

I wish I could give 6 stars! I was in town visiting when I started having car trouble and I came to Main Street as a recommendation from multiple people in town. After my experience I couldn't be more pleased. Not only were the husband and wife running the office extremely helpful and nice, but their pups greeted me with tails wagging! It truly had the welcoming and helpful atmosphere you want from a shop. Even the guys in the shop were very nice, saying hello as I was outside waiting. From an innocent bystander I can tell you everyone in the shop is hard working and will take care of whatever you need done. I wish there were more shops like this! Every question I had was answered(both from the office and the mechanic personally working on my car), my car was back on the road in no timeat all, and I left with a smile, but more than that comfort in my car being back to normal. Truly an amazing family owned business. Highly recommended for ANY car maintenance needed both local and visiting. Thanks again!

Great little jewel of a shop. Everything went very smooth and we were in and out within 20 minutes for the repair of a tire with nail. The shop was clean, orderly, family oriented and comfortable. They have earn my business for sure.

I have been going to Main Street for many years, and I'm so happy they are still there when I need them! Friendly staff, very good at what they do! As a female I have been treated like I don't have a clue of what auto repair is all about. I know enough to get me in trouble. Thank you Main Street & Automotive for the respect you offer me. They are always happy to explain the repairs needed. The prices are not exaggerated and they stand behind their work.

Custom service is exceptional! They have always taken care of me and my vehicles. They go above and beyond the norm. For example, they found jeep recalls for me as a courtesy and replaced my key fob battery without me asking. They've even given me a courtesy ride back to wrk.All I can say is THANK YOU! They will always have my business and I will always recommend them to others.

They gave me attitude at the desk for asking for an inspection. Said they've never done it. Funny since I got it the last year. Anyway, I leave and there's no auto closing door like EVERY OTHER CUSTOMER SERVICE location and it doesn't close. Then some employee decides to berate me for not closing the door. He thought I'd walk. When I turned around and let him meet the retired NCO that I am it was all apologies and sirs. These people are clown shoes.

I have been doing business with Main Street Tire and Auto for over a year. The service is excellent, honest and the entire staff is very helpful and just downright nice. My wife and I had her SUV in for routine service and found out we had some major issues. They went over them with us and explained the costs and also the work that was probably down the road due to the mileage on our SUV which was over 130,000 at the time. They explained that they were happy to do the work which would be in excess of $4,000 but that maybe we should consider a new or newer vehicle due to the travel for work that my wife does weekly. My wife and I considered our options and ended up with a new vehicle which she is extremely happy with. We probably saved money on costly repairs plus we have peace of mind knowing that we are in a new vehicle that is safe and maintenance free. We continue to have routine maintenance done there and will continue to do so. We think they are awesome and encourage all our friends and neighbors to use them.

Main street tire and Automotive has been a blessing and a half. After using them for many repairs ranging from power steering pinion rack assembly replacement, to a whole front CV axle assembly on a Honda CRV, and now to a Chevy Silverado fuel pump and fuel filter replacement they have been on point and extremely pleasant to work with. In fact, they re the only mechanics I trust within a 70 mile radius of where I live. Especially since I ve moved out of Bandera.Shaun and Chris have been particularly wonderful and very punctual, and professional with their time.When you come to main street tire and auto, you are getting genuine mechanics who care about the welfare of your vehicle and your time. That can be certain.I intend to continue using their services. I have been taking my vehicles here for 5 years. I have had to have emergency repairs in addition to regular maintenance. Sean and Cyrstal have always worked with me to get me back on the road in a timely fashion. My questions are always answered and everything explained to me so I understand what has been done.
