concerning contact with : large overly rounde headed (yankee?)OWNER!!! go there for a scam and poor management! it takes a moron to screw up a wheel with any tire machine bought in last15 years. it takes a scammer to try and act knowledgeable of DOT regulations to FORCE!!!!!! people to buy a tire!!!!! to leave the business!!!!! (I m ex 7 yr service to Engineering Dept of DOT!they do lots of police force! guess that gives him the Belief! he s untouchable!!stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pics are damage of my wheels! threatened to throw me off property!!! without my dam truck!!!!! vehicle:2020 Denali 40k mi clean tiltle!if he has issue w/(to resolve) he can google me! my name isnt hard to locate

Tuffy is the awesome. They keep their word are honest and don t back down. They will fix your issue in a timely manner and make you feel like your money was well spent. When I was in a bind they held it down and kept me informed. It to mention up up to date with computer malfunction. They have been reliable more than once. Their employees are knowledgeable and polite. Go TUFFY!!

I took my car in at lunchtime to have my AC checked since no air was blowing out. Eric was a huge help, and got me a loaner car for the night. Eric called later that day with the amount for the repairs, and it was ready the next day with the exact quoted amount due.I'll definitely be back!

I would like to take a moment to recognize Vance, Phillip, and the entire team at this Tuffy location. I had a warranty issue come up from an out of state fix at another Tuffy location. Phillip personally called me and got me scheduled in to take care of it. When I arrived this morning, Vance greeted me enthusiastically, got me all set up, explained the process clearly, made my issue a priority, got the part ordered quickly, and had me in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Most importantly, the issue seems to have been fixed perfectly this time. You can tell Vance takes pride in his work, and builds that trust with you that is so very important at a car care center. We even shared some laughs about our respective previous sports' careers while I waited. All that said, I can highly recommend this Tuffy location whether for a simple oil change or something more complex that your vehicle needs. Time, labor, price, and process were all clearly explained with a patience and care that is why I make Tuffy my go-to when it comes to vehicle repairs. Correctly diagnosed the issue with my vehicle. Quoted me 1390 dollars for repair. Another mechanic quoted me 1000. Suddenly this shop could do the job for 980. I decided to go with another option. They charged me $169 for the diagnosis. I kinda understand that since my vehicle was in their shop for several days, but still pricey.TL;DR they can find the problem, but they will charge as much as they can. Buyer beware.

Brought my car in for a oil leak repair and brake job. After a few months the brakes started vibrating. They repaired them. Then they starting doing it again. They told me I'd have to pay for some other new parts, but a month later they started vibrating again. They charged me thousands of dollars to repair the oil leak but it only grew worse. They gave me an estimate of or more work to fix it, but I took it to another shop. This shop diagnosed a $29 part and fixed the oil leak.

Paid 386 for A/C repair and ac still not cool , if I paid for a service I expected to have it done right . If you re not going to do something the right way just don t even do it at all !

Dishonest place took advantage of my young college-age daughter. Charged $2500 for a repair my local shop could do for a couple hundred. Less than a week after they repaired it, the car died again. Took it to a dealership and they found out Tuffy put in the wrong part. Not only did they greatly overcharge, but didn't repair correctly. Thank God they have warranty, because it was greatly needed. Car is getting re-fixed at a different location.Contacted Tuffy directly to question their price and got nothing but attitude. Would not recommend this shop to anyone!ADDITION: Can't respond to their reply, so I'm replying here. The dealership determined a wrong part was installed, which is why the car quit a week after you repaired it. The other shop is fixing it through your warranty. And no, I never "threw the invoice a your employees face at the counter." I talked to you on the phone. It must be another unhappy customer you're thinking of. This was our first USA inspection & we were treated nicely; our car was checked in 15 minutes! We were given the pass and told we could go to HEB to pay the registration fee and receive the sticker. I've had good experiences with Tuffy in the past for oil changes. However, my recent experience with them was disappointing. It required frequent visits to their shop over a two-month period, causing significant inconvenience and costing me over $2500 to repair my car.They incorrectly fixed the power steering fluid leakage in my car. As the problem persisted after their initial repair, I returned to the shop. During the second visit, they misdiagnosed the issue and recommended an expensive wheel bearing replacement. Trusting their judgment, I agreed to the service. Nevertheless, the power steering fluid continued to leak. On the third visit, they found that the hose was not properly connected, causing the leakage. Connecting the hose did not solve the problem, and the steering fluid continued to leak. Finally, during my last visit, they discovered that the power steering companion rack was not correctly fixed, a task that should have been performed during my initial visit.While they fixed the power steering companion rack under warranty, my SRS light is now on, indicating that they damaged or disconnected my airbag system during the repairs. They asked me to bear the partial cost of fixing the airbag sensor issue, which they introduced.I found Tuffy's work on vehicles to be unreliable, and they did not provide clear communication about the car's status. Additionally, they did not offer a loaner car while my vehicle was in their shop for an extended period. If a car leaves with new issues after repairs, the repair shop should take responsibility for any mistakes and fix them before returning the vehicle to the customer. As a result of my experience, I cannot recommend using Tuffy's service.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Tuffy's did a wonderful job helping me when my car faced so many problems! After fixing my catalytic converter when it got stolen, my car faced another issue and they had one of their techs come out to my location after hours to come look at my car and determine the problem. As they worked on the car, they also lent me a car which helped a TON since I'm a teacher and can't afford to take off/work from home with my car in the shop. It saved me a headache of a trip going to the car rental! Phillip and Ash did a wonderful job fixing up my Prius! My family also goes to this location and gives it a wonderful review as well. They truly care about their customers and work to figure out the problem/quickly fix it! I will be coming back for every car need/issue from now on! Thanks guys!

This place is absolutely great! You really feel like they take care of your car as if it was there own. Phillip Reyna, was very understanding, knowledgeable, and instrumental during my whole experience there. Came here with a small emergency, was due to drive a long way home and had an issue with my car trailer hookups. I called asking if they could help me and Philip went above and beyond to help me get on the road, entirely for free and wouldn't even accept a tip. He took the issue as seriously as we did and showed a level of urgency and concern for our issue that truly made us feel like he cared about helping us and making sure our long trip home was safe. I also went here to have a full brake and rotor replacement, they did a good job and everyone in the shop was incredibly friendly to talk with while I waited for my vehicle to be finished. If Philip sees this review, I want you to know we got home safe and without even the smallest issue, and a big reason is because of your help, so thank you.

THES GUYS ARE CROOKS!!!They charged me 1700 for tires and an alignment. Now I am driving with a crooked steering wheel and they told me I had a bad wheel bearing to try and get more money out of me. The wheel bearing they said was bad was barely old enough to start surface rust.

These guys were awesome! They were busy but still managed to replace my brake pads, rotors and do an alignment in the same day. Philip was very courteous and didn't try to add things that were not needed at that specific time. Very honest and straightforward people! I used to drive all the way up to Georgetown to the dealer I bought my truck at for the past 8 years. When my "car guy" wasn't around anymore, I decided to come to Tuffy since it is right in the neighborhood. WOW, so glad that I did.Phillip was great - he was able to get me a shuttle to and from on short notice AND on a very busy weekend day.When I only went in for an oil change, with the thought that I might need brakes, I was told that brakes were definitely needed. Phillip explained to me in words that I could understand. While I was not happy to have to drop hundreds of dollars at the time, it was necessary and I feel safer with me and my kids in the car. And it helped a little that they had mailer coupons that they were able to discount my bill a little.Thank you !!!Services: Brakes, Oil change

Took my car in today because my check engine light came on. I recently moved here from Michigan and was intimidated by trusting my car to someone new but the staff at Tuffy s did a fantastic job. I came in right when they opened around 7:45, received a call around 8 with a diagnosis and pricing, then received a final call at 10:30 with everything fixed and good to go. They also generously gave me a loaner car for the duration of the repair which was so useful. They were willing to answer any questions I had and pricing was fair which is always a concern as a woman bringing your car in. Told me I needed my brakes done; that they were metal on metal and that I would risk damaging my calipers if I drove for another mile without. I asked them why they didn t tell me or warn me on the last oil change service that I had there and they told me: they just got that bad that fast. It s a 2018 Jetta. I work from home 4 days a week. No squeaking, nothing to indicate there was an issue. I can brake quickly and they are super responsive. I just wasn t sure they were being honest.Just got a second opinion at Lambs, by two separate techs that told me the brakes are perfect. No visible wear. Huh??!!Quite a distinct difference but I guess Tuffy just wanted my $500-600. Instead they won t get another penny from me. Thanks anyway!

The front desk man was very nice. Even though I had an appointment, and I was waiting there he told me it may be an hour and a half. I feel like that kind of defeats the purpose of an appt. The oil change was done in about an hour. All in all it was good. They also had a coffee machine! Yay!

Tuffy @ Anderson Mill has been our reliable car shop for our family for years now. We take both of our vehicles there for any issues or PMs. Vance is honestly the best guy we have ever worked worth. He tells it to you straight and doesn t try to take advantage of you. They have helped us out in a lot of ways with maintenance, price, loaner cars, many rides to and from the shop. Highly recommend.

Fantastic shop. They were able to get my car done and back to me quickly. I do a lot of repairs myself, but for the jobs that are too much for my garage, this is where I will be taking my car. I felt that the prices were fair, and honest. I had to have my radiator and condenser replaced. The disassembly involved in these things is very close,doing the radiator is 90% of the work to get to the condenser. I really appreciated that they took this into account when quoting and performing the work. This may seem like a no brainer, but I have had a few shops that would just treat these things separately, and not take into account that for the 2nd item, most of the work is done because of the 1st. I felt like they were honest, and I felt respected as a customer. Thank you so much Tuffy crew, your honesty and hard work are appreciated!!

I came in to replace my alternator. Phillip was very professional, made sure my alternator was working great and charged up before i left. He explained everything they were doing to the car in details that i could understand since im not a car person. The other workers were very friendly and helpful as well. I willl definitely be back.
