I was told by someone I wrote a negative review of Todds, yet to find it anywhere . I was worried about it because he is the most thorough cost efficient and reliable guy . His honesty and second in charge Rick handled and complete tasks with ease and are very professional. If anyone sees a negative comment via my profile please let me know- thanks

Todd diagnosed and fixed an issue that another mechanic wasn t able to figure out. He was beyond helpful, and I couldn t be more pleased with my experience. I would recommend him to anyone.

I've called this shop two separate times to have basic service done, and was met with similar answers and hostility towards my situation. Todd is unwilling to work on tuned vehicles from this century that need the upgraded OEM performance parts replaced (like brake pads or spark plugs), even though they have several custom older vehicles out front. Todd himself literally said that even with no warranty for parts and labor, and charging me 2.5x the shop time to install simple spark plugs, that it wasn't profitable enough for him. When asking for a reference to a shop that could help me, he was quite condescending stating "almost no shop will work on your vehicle," followed by "it's a shop owners decision." The next shop I called had zero issue scheduling me up, and extremely pleasurable to chat with. I would personally avoid this shop at all costs, as the owner seems to care more about profits over people, and would not be someone I would want to deal with in the event something went wrong during a standard repair.

needed a state inspection and todd s was quick and professional. the staff is friendly and helpful and you have a fun friend to play with while you wait! will come here again for other work.

Terrible experience. Todd was hostile, and condescending. Tossed me several insults before refusing to work on my car. Honestly, it seemed like he had had an upsetting day and was taking it out on me. I hope he has a better day and feels better soon.

Todd and the folks in his shop delivery great service at a fair price. I have several older cars and I can't tell you the number of times that I have had something and Todd tell me that it is something that I probably didn't need to repair. He could have easily fixed it and taken my money but he chose to look out for my interest. I've been going to him for as long as he has been in this location and highly recommend the shop.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Todd s was a convenient location when we moved here from out of state. I took my vehicles there for inspections in order to get our Texas plates. I had no problem with 2 out of 3 but when the 3rd one would not start he came over and jumped it - then wouldn t take my money ! He said that s a Texas Howdy, ma am! Thank you Todd! May you continue to be the light that shines brightly! See you next year for the next inspection! Thanks again!

We were traveling from Dallas and We broke down 4 minutes down the road from todd's shop. He had a busy day but still squeezed us in to try to help. Todd and his staff were so kind and helpful. We ended having to get a tow truck and a uber but Todd and his crew let us wait in his office until they arrived. Thanks again guys you were awesome!

The previous place I used for safety inspections was no longer doing them so I had to find a new business. After a bit of research I found Todd's and I'm glad I did. Talk about great service! I took my trailer in for the inspection and discovered that I had a few light problems. Todd helped troubleshoot and fix the problems right on the spot without charging anything. How often do you leave after a vehicle service feeling really good about the people and service? I know where I'll be bringing my vehicles next time. Todd's has made a new customer.

I have taken four older vehicles to Todd's. I back Todd's 100%. They are very honest and frugal. Not the fastest, but again it's because they buy parts at the best price they can. If you have any concerns please talk to Todd in the office. He will always explain everything in detail. As a retired Austin Police Detective, I give him 5 stars.

A friend of mine that recently moved to Austin recommended me to Todd. He was a little further out from my area and I ended up going to another location to get my car inspection. I ended up running to Todd because not only did I not pass my inspection but the mechanic was charging me way too much for labor on small things that needed to be fixed in oder for me to pass my inspection. I bought some of the things that needed to be replaced or fixed, not only did todd fix them , but also took his time to actually teach me on how to fix these problems myself. Unfortunately Todd was not able to do my inspection because he was out of my county. But he recommended me another location that would treat me well, like he did. Todd didn't charge me anything. I really wish I had cash on me that day, because I was so grateful for his hospitality and his time. Even though Todd is a little further, he won a new client. I will still go back to Todd , even just to get an oil change.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Todd's may be a little out of the way, but do not let that deter you! Todd is super friendly and very easy to work with. The prices where very far and Todd was honest and up front with me. One of the best techs I have worked with.

We having been taking our cars to Todd since 2016. We have never been disappointed. Recently I dropped off my car for a squeaking issue and 60k mile maintenance (just purchased the car). He told me the maintenance had clearly been done already and found a cable housing that just needed to be greased. Didn t charge me anything even though it obviously took him time to check that stuff out. I have never disappointed and you can tell how honest and upfront he is. I will continue to bring our cars here even though we have moved farther away.

Todd n mike are the best. They do great work , last of the good guys. I recently took my daughters car in before a road trip. Todd stopped everything he was doing and jumped right on it.. In an hour the car was ready and she was on her way for her 1500 miles trip with no worries. Thank you todd and mike.

Received a quote from Firestone for $2000, brought my car here for a second opinion and I'm glad I did! Firestone wanted to replace my rack and pinion because it was "leaking" power steering fluid, Todd took less then 15 mins to explain that my power steering was electric and did not need to be replaced. Left Todd's with a bill of $0!!!!!!!! Extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy!

I am disgusted that people would criticize a fellow American for expressing his opinion, political or otherwise. Todd is a veteran and has placed his life on the line for our First Amendment rights. Let's respect his. Also, there is not a better or more honest mechanic in the State. I have followed Todd around to the different shops where he worked for years. It is that hard to find someone capable and honest the auto repair world. Since he's had his own shop, I go no where else.

Todd is the most honest mechanic I ve ever met! I ve used him 10 years now and consider him a good friend. He s never steered me wrong and goes above and beyond to try to help people. The world needs more people like him.

3 Trucks worked on and every single one of them had to be repeatedly fixed by Todd's and/or by another mechanic.Truck #1 had it's injectors done 4 times, injector sleeves-twice, high pressure oil pump-twice, the gasket for the pump 4-times and the repairs went on for a year on a 7.3 liter with 120k. Much at my expense!Truck #2 had brakes put on and another mechanic had to redo as the adjusters were installed backwards. Todd opted to order Tongs to try to adjust rather then trying to fix them properly.Truck #3 had 5 injectors replaced and then it's Turbo was somehow not workable after so Add new Turbo and a sever air leak under the hood. Todd said "It talks to you now" rather then fixing it correctly. Thousands of dollars later and I ended up with a truck the ran exactly the same with an additional severe air leak that the radio could not be turned up loud enough to mask. The new Turbo also needed fixed after it was installed but Todd didn't fix it.Finally my last repair went on for an entire month, no paperwork was provided from Todd's and the truck ultimately ended up being towed to another mechanic where it was repaired in 2 days.If you want it right the first time, Todd's not the guy I would use.

I like his Beto sign , Todd s Automotive wouldn t refuse to work on your vehicle because of your bumper stickers. Take a deep breath , we are all in this together , everybody deserves to have a political yard sign or an opinion without repercussions . Part of the American way thing. I brought my car into Todd's for a sound that I couldn't quite figure out. The sound of metal scraping along metal that did not happen during braking or at low speeds. Todd took my car out and came back after not having heard the noise. We popped the hood and found a fairly faint version of the same kind of noise.Todd very quickly got the part in and fixed that problem, but the occasional metal-scraping noise did not go away.I took it back in a week or so later once I thought I had a way to reproduce the noise. A helper drove along with me and once the noise occurred he immediately knew the issue (and double checked once we got back to the garage). He told me it was not an urgent issue and roughly when I should bring it back to have it fixed.Now that it's nearing the time to get it fixed, I know I'll be taking my Civic back to Todd (for this issue, and any others that pop up). Prices felt extremely fair in comparison to the automotive shop on 290 near Circle Dr.

I went in without an appointment for a vehicle inspection. When Mr. Todd noticed my headlamp out, he not only replaced it, but didn t even charge me for the lamp. He and his mechanics were efficient, thoughtful, and fixed the problem.

If you have to have work on your vehicle then this is the place to go. Service and outcome is always what you expect with no surprises and prices are very reasonable. You will probably never find a more honest mechanic than Todd! He has fixed others' blunders for me and has literally saved me thounds of dollars over the years. I never imagined a mechanic ever earning my blind loyalty, but he certainly has. The world needs more hard working people like these guys-

Broke down and barely made it to the shop. Man these are good people, went above and beyond to help me since I was out of town and my motor seized up. If I ever have car problems and I can get it down here I will make the effort, I'd know I was in good hands.
