Returning customer, always happy with the honesty and service here. Austin really took the extra time to explain their process, and recommendations on a potentially major issue, performed a test and additional deep dive inspection and vehicle health check. Not pushy for add ons or up-sells. Highly recommend.

I have a few vehicles and have used them several times in the past few years. Always a great experience, honest opinions, good work, and the bill is usually a little cheaper than what they say. I would definitely recommend them to you.

This shop has new owners & management. We have had work done this company for many years. So far, so good. One of the most important things to look for in this type of work is honesty. After today, I believe things will be good going forward. I plan on continuing my association with in the future.

Southwest Automotive Specialists were fantastic! Austin got my car in the same day. Found the correct problem with AC and fixed it under $600.I had initially gone to Lamb's on William Cannon, but they lied to me and said l needed a new Blower Motor Assembly for over $1200. I knew that diagnosis was wrong as the blower was working fine on all 4 speeds. It was blowing fine, just hot.I strongly recommend Southwest Automotive Specialists. They are fast, fairly priced and have a terrific professional attitude. I will definitely be back and send friends to this shop.

As a woman, it s always a daunting experience to take your car in for service. I went to Southwest because it was highly recommended by a group of women at the company I work for, and they did not disappoint.The owner was kind, transparent, and communicative. He explained exactly what needed service, broke down the price, and never tried to upsell me. All my questions were answered, my car was ready in a timely manner, and the price was very reasonable.I could not recommend this shop more!

Austin and his team at Southwest Automotive are true Pros! They take the time to figure out exactly what is going on and then get the job done right. I made the mistake of taking my SUV to a friend s shop only to have to take it to Southwest Automotive 2 days later because it broke down again. I won make that mistake again! Their top notch work and excellent customer service can t be beat!

After my Kia sat at the dealership for 4 weeks because they were so backed up, I decided to take it to Southwest Automotive. In only 3 days were they able to look it over, repair exactly what was & had been going on for a while, and we were on our way. Everything about this visit was great & we're excited to find a new home for our Kia repairs.

Very friendly and fast service. However, after having the brake pads replaced as well as the front rotors there was a loud noise after we drove the vehicle several miles. There was something off with the calipers and we had to drive the car back to Southwest Automotive. They were able to fix the issue quickly but it was a pain to have to go back due to the poor workmanship.

They were nice, professional, and honest. Like any bad Monday some of my undercarriage was found ripped down and dragging on the street while I drove with a lot of noise. Called them and they were able to squeeze me in within 20 minutes. Able to take my problem child off and not effect the workings of my car. They didn t even charge me for the quick removal. I really appreciate their honesty and I know other mechanic shops would have charged me a crazy amount and as a girl would have tried to sell me on repairs I didn t really need. Thank you guys!!!!!!

These guys were a complete lifesaver!!!! We were moving from Arizona to Texas pulling our 35ft fifth wheel, when the brake line went out in the truck! Yikes! We found this shop as it was just 1 mile away and got our rig there fast! We dropped the trailer outside the gate and they got our truck right in! The brake line that was ordered couldn t work with the parts we had, after a lot of stress and anxiety, they got us connected to a local hydraulic company to help! These guys stayed after hours and got us fixed up and on the road at an extremely affordable price! I cannot thank these guys enough! I d recommend them to everyone in the Austin area!!!Thank you so so so very much you guys, you guys made our move much easier!

Couldn't seem to dx the problem, was able to drive it home but that was about it. Had to tow it in again, charged for a new battery that didn't fit my car and was just sat in there. These guys are actually amazing! So for the past 2 months my car has died twice and despite jumping it, it would die again. One time I had a friend super charge it for like 30 min (long story). But then it happened again recently. I was so distraught cuz my roommate gave me a couple jumps but as soon as my car was turned off it died. Additionally when I drove around my car electrical power steering would go out like every 2 min which was so scary and dangerous. So we were sure it was the alternator. I brought it to jiffy lube, didn't really get anything done and they said they couldnt get to the spot to put in the power steering fluid (later found out my car doesn't need to have fluid re-filled, it was an electrical issue. I brought it here because they were available to replace an alternator that same day and were very friendly. He was checking things over and he noticed he couldnt get a battery reading and I told him he clipped to the wrong things on the battery (which was actually the wrong spot) and he realized I just had a bad connection between the car and battery. He brought out a wrench, tightened it up and the power steering was also fixed. Car wasn't dying and is totally fine now! Saved me $100s of dollars and he didn't even want me to tip him! These guys are such good, quality hard honest workers! I highly recommend!Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension replacement, Electrical, Auto maintenance

These guys are amazing!!!My car started to sound like the brakes were wearing out, I googled auto shops near my work and this business popped up as the closest to me with great reviews. I called and spoke with Travis, I told him I needed to bring in my car for a diagnostic for my brakes. I couldn't go long without my vehicle and didn't get off work until 5p and this business closes at 530p. I asked if this was something they would be able to look at today and just tell me what was wrong. I showed up at 510, they looked at my car real quick and informed me that yes, my brake pads needed to be replaced. I left my car there over night and the very next morning they called me with a quote. They were very honest and explained to me why my car had been vibrating when I slowed down, because the rotors and brakes. They informed me that it was an easy fix and they would be done by noon that day.Omg you guys, when I first drove my car I was just expecting for the brakes to be fixed and whatever.. but MY CAR DRIVES LIKE NEW!! It had been making a knocking/rickity sound when I go over bumps, etc and now it's completely gone!! I have no clue if they did an alignment or adjusted something else but I know for a fact they didn't just fix my brakes. I have had issues with the knocking sound and have had several mechanics look at my car, and now it's just completely gone. These guys are so amazing and I will ABSOLUTELY continue to use them in the future. They go above and beyond. Honest, caring and trustworthy.Thank you so much Southwest Automotive.Service: Brakes

Why there is no option of zero star??I brought my car to check a starting issue. At the beginning, they told me that they checked battery, starter, engine, etc., and the starter and engine are good and the battery needs to be replaced. Considering that they would charge $50 for this examination, I decided to replace the battery there. They installed a new battery, but they still can not start the car. Then, they told me the starter is not good and needs to be replaced! What? ? How can I trust you that you really did examination on the car for $50?My AC was slow but after ~5min or so it can blow cold air. After they checked my AC, it can NOT blow any cold air anymore even after ~30min-1hour (it turned out there is only 10% Freon left after their check). They also said I need to replaced the compressor, etc, all that cost more than $1000. But after I checked my AC with an auto repair I trust, it turned out I only need to put new Freon. And now my AC is working GREAT.VERY disappointed with their service. I will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery

I have used SW Auto since 1992. First with the previous owner (Bob) and now with Rick, I have never been disappointed with them. They are honest, trustworthy and reliable. If you are looking for discount service this is probably not the place for you but if you are looking for high quality work at a reasonable price, I highly recommend them.

Fantastic. Finally found the mechanics I trust to not rip off my mom.The first shop wanted to replace the master cylinder to the tune of $600+. Heard about Southwest Automotive and brought my car there. Within the day they got me rolling again, having fixed the brakes for $110.These are the guys you want to be fixing your car.

Very highly recommended. We had a heater core problem driving on our way to California and not only did they get us on our way quickly, but was also very reasonable on price when they saw we had not much money left from our trip. Some of the BEST SERVICE I've received anywhere in the country.
