I reviewed Southpoint Hyundai, before, then adjusted my review. Until yesterday, I thought the changes were good. When I bought my Santa Cruz, I opted for the 4,000.00 prepaid maintenance package. What a joke. I was charged full price for the service. Now my A/C is not cooling. I tried to get a service appointment. BUT, The online service app was not working. SO, I tried to call the Service line, to book an appointment, I called from 8AM, until 10:30 AM. NO ANSWER. not even a can you hold. The phone rang 10 times, then was cut off. SO, I drove down, went inside, to be told I needed to pull up to the service line. BECAUSE, the Service desk didn't have access to the appointment calander. SO, I waited in line in my car in Texas, with no A/C for 45 min. ONLY TO BE TOLD, I'd have to leave my car for 5 days just for the diagnostics to be run on the A/C unit. And the Service Tech didn't have access to the calendar to be able to schedule me a date. But I'd have to leave my car for at least a week. AND OF COURSE, they don't provide loaners. WOULD I RECOMMEND a Hyundai, yes they are good cars. Will I recommend Southpoint Hyundai. My best advice is Run as fast as you can to ANY other dealership AND don't for any reason use their Service Center.

All around, pretty bad experience. I took my car in for an oil change about a week ago and they told me that they were doing the state emissions test as part of my oil change and they did not. After trying to get in touch with my service representative three times, she finally told me to bring my car in first thing in the morning and they could get it done. When I brought it in in the morning I sat in the service center by myself with no other cars around me for around 20 minutes before anyone even checked on me. Following that they told me they couldn't do a service inspection and it would be four to five hours. No communication, making false promises, and just pour management in general. Thanks for wasting my time.

I bought my car last year it has about 16,550 miles on it. I had one oil change previously at Southpoint Hyundai service center which I will say was a great experience. I scheduled a service appointment for oil change in my 16,000 mile tuneup. It took a very long time for me to get the appointment so my oil change was about 700 miles past due.I dropped my car off in the morning. I talked to the gentleman everything was great. Later that day he called me told me that my car needed about $1,000 worth of work new air filters at AC clean out and a fuel line clean out. I told him I wasn t able to do that right now but could I schedule it at a later date after pay day the gentleman said sure, not a problem. What day is great that works for us.Went to go and pick up my car later on that day. The person on the counter told me no, I had to have an appointment the extra work. I aked them if the service advisor made one and they stated no. I aked to speak to a manger they told me they left for the day. I was beyond frustrated at that point. I went to my car and my car still says that I need maintenance. I also have low tire pressure. took it to a tire shop to fill up my tire, and they say I have a nail in it, but Hyundai said that they did a full inspection25 point inspection. I have low windshield wiper fluid, and my antifreeze is below the minimal line. They said they topped off all of my fluids and did a 25 point inspection. I personally don t believe they actually even did an oil change because then why does my car still say I need maintenance on it. They liedI tried to call and talk to a manager two times. No one will call me back. I have waited until Monday afternoon and no one has called me. Last time I went there, I had an email asking about my service. I got a phone call from the manager making sure I had perfect service. I ve been waiting for my email regarding my service it hasn t come. And to top it off last time I had service done. They told me if I did a five star google review they would give me a full tank of gas. When I dropped off my car they said yes not a problem you can redeem that today. Did I get it? Absolutely not. So that means all of the five star, google reviews are a lie.

I purchased brand new Tucson from this location in 2022. And had two maintenance service appointments so far. Both the experiences were terrible. People are not friendly at all. My car also needs diagnostics coz of an alert I got on my dashboard couple of weeks ago. I was told I need to drop off the car for diagnosis and it will take them up to a week to get to it. I will not even get a loaner. Once they diagnose then they add me to waiting list for loaner, and that it may take upto 2 weeks for me to get a loner. Not sure why they need to keep people s cars for weeks if they can t get to them. With my previous car I m used to getting a loaner immediately when needed and a complimentary car wash after every service appointment. When I asked about complimentary car wash at my first appointment. I was told I need to let them know ahead, and that they ll take care of it during next service. I reminded them about it while scheduling my second appointment. Reminded when I got there, then again when some service recommendations were made. Even after three reminders they didn t wash the car. When I asked about it front desk lady says. Don t worry you re not charged for it. I m not sure where the charge is coming from.On my drive back I was repenting purchasing a Hyundai. And for my next car I m thinking of considering looking at service center reviews ahead before deciding on the brand. This is the closest service location otherwise I have to all the way to Roundrock. I m stuck with them.

My check engine light came on and I made an appt to bring my under 2 yr old Hyundai here. The Round Rock location was booked until August and now I know why. I was a little hesitant to go here for service due to the other bad reviews talking about a poor service dept and other people claiming hidden charges. I felt confident this wouldn t happen to me because my car is new and everything should be covered. I should have stayed away. I arrived for my appt. and had to wait over 20 min. just to be seen. I spoke with Manny Soto, explained my appt for check engine light and oil change(free maintenance due soon). He asked if anyone told me I would have to leave it for a week. I laughed and asked him if he was serious. He said yes. I asked about a loaner car or shuttle. He said neither available. I asked since they were going to have it for a week, could they also look at squeaky brake upon reverse. He said yes. He inspected my car, took pictures on his tablet and had me sign off on the car inspection. He said I would be hearing back. I did not. I never received any texts or emails. I had to rearrange my driving and family plans for the week without my car. I called the following Thursday 2 times for Manny and left a message inquiring about the status of my car. The next day Manny called, left me a voice mail and said my car was good to go. I received an email with a $0.00 balance and invoice showing check engine light checked and 25 point inspection. Nothing about oil change or brake check. I called Manny back, went to voicemail again. I called back and spoke with Abby service manager. She texted and chatted with Manny to ask him about the oil change. Manny called me back and said the oil change and brake check wasn t done, but it could be done and my car would still be ready tomorrow(Saturday). I arrived mid-afternoon on Saturday to pick up my car. The girl up front didn t have my key or paperwork. They brought the paperwork up and the girl said that will be $136. I explained that there should not be a charge and that everything should have been covered. The girl called Courtney to tell me there was a charge for the diagnostic. I tried to explain that no payment had been stated by Manny or invoices emailed to me. I was told there was nothing they could do. I told Courtney to call Manny and he would tell her no payment had been mentioned at the time of drop off, phone, text or email. Courtney said I signed stating I would pay for any charges(I signed for car inspection, not a blank work order). She said I had to pay or I couldn t have my car. She offered no other solutions or options. It was all my fault. I am requesting a refund in full and an apology from the dealership. I urge other readers to find another dealership for service even if is more than an hour away. I love my new Hyundai, but unfortunately this bad service experience has made me think about other car brand options when buying in the future.

Took my partner's car here because of the notorious knock sensor code that plagues some of Hyundai's engines. That part of the repair was covered under warranty.Took roughly 4 days to finally have the car looked at. It's throwing P1326 - Hyundai has an extended warranty for owners who updated the KSDS software. My partner did that last year in March, and you can verify online with Hyundai with your VIN.We didn't receive a loaner. Total turn around time was probably 2 weeks. We were advised the car needed the spark plugs replaced at 51k miles. All four are corroded, and one ignition coil "broke" when it was removed. Weird how one broke out of 4, but we paid for a new ignition coil. Here's the kicker. They definitely overcharged for labor. For those of you wondering what the labor rate is: it is $232.88 per hour.If you replace the spark plugs, then you're also removing the ignition coils. You can't replace a plug without removing a coil. Simple. Need to swap it? Unplug and plug a new one in. How much was the labor? $465.76 on top of the spark plug replacement being $232.88.3 hours of labor to change ignition coils and spark plugs. Insane. You can also get your OEM parts cheaper from their online parts store. Ignition Coil online was about $24 cheaper, and the plugs were $4 cheaper (each) than the invoice charge. No pending codes after their work, so there's no complaint for the service rendered. The labor charges are absolutely ridiculous and feel like a scam.

Twice now I've had to drive down for no reason:First time, the towing company had lost my car key fob. Disregarding the ensuing headache I'd have to endure to replace it with the towing company (who they made me contact instead of handling it), I was unable to get my car serviced until they had a key fob. So I drove down the next day and gave them my spare. Fast forward to picking up my car after a few days and they return both key fobs to me as they had had my original one for who knows how long. But no one bothered to tell me. I'm just glad the tow company didn't have to pay $400 because no one bothered to update me.Second time was for a service appointment for an oil change I believed to be covered under the maintenance package. Terms say until the end of November OR at 32k miles (whichever comes first), yet the mileage portion does not align with the year so if the coverage ends before you hit 32k miles they completely disregard the part of "whichever comes first" and you end up driving south 45 minutes at 7 am to be told this when they could have told me over the phone when I scheduled the appointment.I think the issues comes down to being unclear and providing false promises when speaking with customers to appease them in the short term. But this causes such a big headache later when the promises that were made are not honored. I feel like I'm a fairly patient person and do my best to do my due diligence but it's hard to do that when I can't get a straight cut answer and repeatedly get inconvenienced because of it.

South Point emailed me and directed me to review to their purchasing department on Google, not the service and parts so I thought it only fair to cross post for others who use the service department to see my review. I have no experience with the purchasing side of South Point Hyundai as I did not purchase my care from them. When you make an appointment be prepared to leave your car / be without a car for the next 6-7 days. This had happened to me twice now on two separate occasions 4-5 months apart. They will not give you a loaner until they have diagnosed the problem, so the appointment is literally just to admit your vehicle to the long line of cars needing to be seen. Once they find the problem, you'll have to potentially wait until they have a car available for you even if they agree to give you a loaner as they don't have enough available. There's a list of rules and paperwork for the loaner car and they put a $500 hold on your credit card.I dread having to drop my car off any time anything is wrong but there's no other choice aside from going up to Round Rock and potentially having the same thing happen. At least the work that's done appears quality each time but the scheduling process is such a hassle I don't know why they don't push appointments out a week if they're an entire week behind schedule. For someone who relies solely on their vehicle to get to work it's a huge inconvenience not to mention spending money on Uber/Lyft daily. I've considered reaching out to corporate to cover the out of pocket expenses I've accrued. The first time I dropped off my car the staff member in charge of my case started accusing me of wrecking the car immediately even though I had just purchased it from CarMax and the sensor came on the day after I got it (it needed mild recalibration and its a 2022 under warranty). I understand the need to explain to folks the work may not be covered but being accusatory straight out the gate is not good communication nor does it foster a good relationship. After that I had to essentially pester them constantly for an update, being told I would be updated on the situation but never hearing back. The last time I had to go in the communication was better as a lot was done via text but I had to constantly check in and the overall experience was still poor being without a car for so long (6 days of waiting to be seen then 1-2 days of waiting for a loaner, then another 6-7 days of waiting for parts etc w a loaner vehicle).Once the work is done no one will explain what was done or how the car was fixed, they just tell you your vehicle is ready and hand you a receipt.Obviously they are no where near able to accommodate the demand and there's no sign of it getting better. I'm sorry to any of my fellow South Austin Hyundai drivers. I probably would have reconsidered buying a Hyundai if I knew this is what I'd spend my free time doing.

DO NOT buy a Hyundai! I have a WHITE 2019 Sonata that I bought brand new. In 2022 the white paint on the hood started chipping!! I ve had tons of cars that were 10+ years old without this problem. Called & they said there isn t a white paint extension on my car. I know this is a common problem!! I ve seen many WHITE Hyundais with paint chipped. But they nickel & dime people. It s ridiculous what dealerships are allowed to get away with.

2021 Hyundai Elantra with 58k miles. Scheduled an appt due to my back up camera glitching, tire pressure sensors going off unnecessarily and front collision sensor stopped working. Initially kept my car for three weeks when I brought it in. During those three weeks there was an immense lack of communication from the advisor with keeping me updated on what was happening with my car, what was wrong and when it would be fixed. I had to be the one to constantly reach out. I asked for a rental car numerous times and didn t get an answer. I finally went into the shop and spoke to a manager who said you have the best tech and my advisor had something going on so I shouldn t hold it against her. I understand things happen but being in sales myself, I would always either pass my client to someone else until I could be there for them and at least them know what s happening. When I finally got my car back, the issue wasn t even fixed. I brought it back in and they would look into the problem again. Before even telling me what the issue was this time, my advisor texted me saying she saw I was sent a survey and asked if I could take pity on her and leave her a 10 point review seriously? Finally they said they had to order a part but when the part came in, it could be done same day. Same day turn around time turned into 3 and again, lack of communication. I reached out numerous times towards the end of the day when I wouldn t hear anything and they told me a bolt broke when they were trying to put in the new part and would need to order it Really? A bolt? Endless excuses, poor communication and lack of sincerity. They re the reason I m getting rid of my Hyundai vehicle

They are con artists top to bottom. All the free maintenance with purchase is just a lie with so many loopholes to get them out of it. Then when you ask questions, they accuse you of being aggressive. Not to mention they bribe for 5 star reviews.I had a Toyota before, but loved the Palisade and made the switch two years ago. When the Toyota service team found out I was getting a Hyundai they said oh, you ll be back Didn t realize how right they were.

I arrived right on time for my oil change appt at one o'clock and I am still waiting for my car at 4:30. Meanwhile I overheard two nightmare stories of major major problems other people were having. Two people selling their cars to get out of their service contracts. I love my Sante Fe but don't get service here..

I would give them zero stars if I could. My experience with this dealership was an absolute nightmare. It took over two weeks for them to even bother looking at my car. They said they were backed up 3-7 days on diagnosis but failed to make me privy to that information until after they had my car for a week. I made the appointment 4 months in advance. I would constantly follow up with no response. No loaner car or stipend for a 3rd party rental. When they finally called back with the diagnosis they fed me a load of false information TWICE, before calling back and fessing up that they made a mistake and had to do additional work at my cost. I didn t get my car back for nearly three weeks. A complete showcase of incompetence. To top it off, my headphones - which I mistakenly left in my car - mysteriously vanished during the ordeal. My glove compartments, doors, and trunk had all been rummaged through and my stuff was all over the place. Avoid this dealership at all costs a blend of inefficiency and dishonesty and overall scam.

I ve never had a great experience with the service department at this dealership. I have a 2022 Kona, and I only come to receive the complimentary maintenance. Each time I have come with an appointment scheduled weeks in advance (because they re always backed up weeks!!) and been told there is still a multiple hour wait. It s so frustrating to schedule something and still have to waste your entire day at the dealership. I don t think I ll be getting another car from Hyundai just because of the service department.

If I could, I would give it 0 stars for their services department. This review takes back all the way to September 6th 2022 on my 2022 Hyundai Palisade (SEL). I have been having issues with my AC and have brought my vehicle to get it checked out twice. I wasn t able to get it checked sooner since they are always booked for weeks ahead.First visit was in September 2022 and the results were that my AC was completely fine. They supposedly checked my vehicle daily for almost a month. Based on their evaluation and diagnostic testing the car came back normal . My vehicle continued to have the same issues after that visit. I highly doubt that they did a thorough investigation on my vehicle.Issues with AC: Chirping noise coming from the cabin compartment Inconsistent air flow from front air vents Low air flow from rear back seat air vents AC is not blowing cold air rather more like room temperature for the front and back passenger air vents Bad chemical burn smellSecond visit:January 16, 2023 you won t believe that I didn t even get my car inspected by a real technician but an advisor Emmanuel . After explained the same issues I was having months ago, and proving a full video of the noise my vehicle was making. Emmanuel decided to have my car run for an hour with my AC on blast to see if he could hear the noise for himself. Mind you I had already informed him that the noise may not be heard during that time since I stopped using my AC for weeks. Those weeks gave my AC a rest, though it didn t change with the temperature difference. As he tested the front vehicles AC vents, he put it at 70 and his temperature gun was reading 73 on the drivers side while the passenger side was showing 78 . He then proceeded to lie and say it s not much of a difference so there isn t anything wrong with the car for us to check out. I told him that s a big temperature difference when you have both dual systems at the same temperature range .Fast forward to March 2023:I did my own research and found out that the two main problems with my AC is that I have a faulty blower motor (which is located underneath the cabin air filter) and a faulty blend door actuator. The blower motor bearing had completely rusted and was over working itself which caused a bad chemical burn smell in the air cabin. The blower motor smell was starting to imprint inside the cabin which results the smell to get worse. The faulty blend door actuator (controls the temperature and air flowing through each air vent) was the main reason why my AC wasn t blowing consistent and correct temperature through each air vent.It is unbelievable that when you expect the main dealership where you bought a brand new vehicle from, can t even figure out the problems with their own vehicles. It s outrageous that 1. My warranty was used for the first visit which could cost me hundreds 2. The lack of customer service to at least take your customers into consideration 3. Lack of training with the technicians not being able to find the main issue with my vehicle. Here is a picture of my blower motor. The one on top is a brand new blower motor I installed on my own and the bottom was the rusted bearing in blower motor.

They publicly say about 5 days to diagnose your car (which car has already been diagnosed). What is the purpose of having an appointment if they will keep it for 5 days before starting to fix it?

I had an appointment scheduled for a state inspection at noon on a Wednesday. Dropped my car off at 11:50am and didn't get it back until after 5pm! They took 5 hours to do a SCHEDULED state inspection. Absolutely ridiculous. Their service department alone makes me never want to even think about purchasing a vehicle from the dealership.

Great and quick service, I m grateful my issue was covered by the warranty. The assistance is always friendly and polite. Couldn t ask for more.Although there was a mix up (they couldn t find my car when it was towed there) my point of contact was quick to help me locate it and begin repairs.

Yikes. Judging from these reviews, I see I m not alone! I ve had Hyundai s for years and lived in multiple states to have them serviced (NH, MA, MI, CA, TX) this service department has got to be the worst. Appointments are impossible to get within a reasonable timeframe, even for immediate attention needed recall fixes, and when you do get one, you can expect to wait 2-3+ hours in the waiting room. I appreciate the recent efforts in keeping the snacks stocked and bathrooms clean (one star) but waiting this long WITH an appointment is crazy. It s uncomfortable and a time-suck and they don t even return your car cleaned (a service that was complimentary and consistent at every other dealership I ve gone too). The employees are kind (that s the other star) but I feel like they must be woefully understaffed in the service department to create wait times like this. I have a year old SUV that has already had 3 recalls and I dread every time I have to come in.

Brought my 2015 Genesis in for warranty work and some other things I needed fixed. The main thing I needed fixed was an issue with my sunroof which was covered by my warranty. After waiting a week to find out the sunroof was covered they ordered the part they needed from somewhere just to find out that by the time the place they ordered from didn't have the part in stock. They had to order again from another place and then waited about a week for the part to come in. After replacing the part they had to replace the panoramic glass roof so they ordered in some new glass but then were unable to get the glass replacement company to come in and do the work. By the time the glass people could finally do the work they opened up the box containing the new glass just to discover the glass was damaged in shipping. They ordered a new piece of glass and they did get it about a week sooner than they expected but again we had to wait for the glass people to come install it. 2 weeks later they finally come and install the glass. Total time that they have had my car is now about a week removed from 2 months. I understand that some of the issues were not within their control but I feel like they could have pressured the other company to hold up their end of the bargain especially when I was told multiple times the glass installers were expected to be there on specific days and then ended up not showing up at all. Maybe it's time to look at someone else to perform the glass that cares about keeping their business. Based on my experience with the service dept at South Point I'm pretty sure I would never buy another car there again.Service: Auto body & trim repair

I took my car to South Point Hyundai for a check engine light. They charged me for the inspection, service, and documentation. I felt that this was a very high price, especially considering that they did not notify me of any additional charges until after the work was done.I also found it concerning that they performed additional services without my consent. I was not happy to see these charges on my bill.Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the service and pricing at South Point Hyundai. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Worst dealership I have experienced ever. I wish i could give 0 rating

I like how quick and efficient these guys are. Been going here for the past 2.5 years for my Hyundai Tucson and they botched up the oil change and oil levels the first time I went there. But, they quickly corrected that growling sound. And after that every other service has been consistently good.

After much delayed service appointment, they kept my car for 2 whole weeks with just diagnosis done and nothing else. Reported way too many unnecessary recommendations into the quote which I couldn't even believe because, I had the oil change all basics done 2 months ago.I called them up to cancel 2 out 3 diagnosis I requested because of the hefty charges. But there was no communication possible with the Advisor for days! Had to wait few more days to resolve unordered/unwanted diagnosis charges! Absolutely not going back.

Going to keep it short. Bought a 2017 Hyundai sanafe Oct 2022. July 2023 My car will turn on.(less than a yr) Told them the issue and they said the next appointment won t be until Nov/Dec. spoke with 5 people and all said there is nothing they can do.Went to a mechanic due to timing and he told me the engine is no good!!!You would think buying a car from a dealership is safe. Their service department is absolutely not checking or servicing the cars. I wish I had came here a review the commentsThis is an absolute nightmare

I recently called in requesting service on a brand new Tucson 2023 that has a rear door issue presenting a safety issue. The rep over the phone told me they can t see the car until September and offered no other solutions. The car only has 1400 miles on it and they can t figure out how to service a safety issue quickly. I don t have a resolution at this point but will leave an update whether they resolve it or not. Stay away from this Service center.Update - it s been months and the dealer still has no solution. Hyundai has no solution either except that the car likely needs to go to a body shop. Keep in mind this was a brand new vehicle and the door issue was likely known by the dealer. The car will need dropped off, a rental won t be provided, and it will be at least two weeks for diagnosis after waiting in line for 2 months - that s the wait time to get the car in. No solution yet. Hyundai has recommended using a different dealer service center in the area.
