I took my older car, a 2001 BMW M5, into SOCO Muffler to repair a crack in the exhaust pipe right around the O2 sensor. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and the owner Ronnie is very present. They fixed the crack quickly and advised me to have the lower control arm checked on the front suspension as they identified some play. A great experience! I highly recommend SOCO Muffler in Austin TX for repairs on any exhaust system.

I called SoCo Muffler after being quoted $700 in repairs at Midas. They ensured me it would be a fraction of that and to bring it in. Once I did, it was done within a couple of hours and it came out to be the exact quoted cost. I m so grateful there are still honest shops out there!

Custom modified cat back exhaust system install with secondary converters removed. Muffler, hangers, custom connectors with flanges and gaskets. Ronnie was awesome and so was the guy that did most of the work. Ronnie walked me thru everything and oversaw the whole job. He invited me to look at the progress from start to middle to finish, making sure I knew what was happening as it was happening. I got to double and triple check everything and ended up with really nice welds and awesome dual black chrome swept tips.Service: Exhaust

Great place with friendly professional staff. I got my radiator cleaned, plus hoses and other components replaced. This was all done within a day of calling and dropping off my truck. They were timely and my truck issues were resolved. Highly recommend. Speak to Ronnie, super cool dude.

This auto shop is extremely efficient. The manager was very direct, honest, and helpful with my issue that I brought up to him. The crew of technicians are willing to work with each individual problem and come up with long-lasting, well-rounded solutions. Thank you SoCo!

Was grateful they were willing to clean out what's left of this rust out of a motorcycle gas tank, dropped it off for 195 to remove rust; but he wanted the fuel pump removed so he unbolted it and I got it out unaware of the fuel line gasket/seal. Got a call later that day on Friday I missed so wasn't able to callback until they open Monday. Spoke with them Monday and was told it'll need coating so another 200 to 395 and that's just too much for my books so let them know I'll drive back and pickup. Got there a few hours later and tank just sitting outside and has more rust, appearing to be left out in the rain over the weekend, as I had already removed most with 4 gallons of evorust, but just wanted to be sure it was good to go... Got it back, finished getting rust out with vinegar and baking soda, put back in the fuel pump, install back on bike, walk to store to get gas, fill up to find out while it was moved around at the shop, the seal or gasket that keeps gas in is missing... Hadn't ever taken off a fuel pump on a bike and was unaware, reason had kept it on so far... Would have been nice had it at least had a bit more care as it's caused a mess on my end as I've got to take the tank back off, find another seal/gasket... They're really nice there and I bet they do good work, but on my end I was left out in the cold rain when simply trying to bring business and couldn't afford...In lou of your response, I didn't get any seal; I got the bolts and fuel pump... I'm a Google guide for a reason, but thank you... Misleading information within your response.

Very happy with these guys! The owner was very friendly and helpful. I had them take out my stock muffler and install new tips and resonators. Very happy with their work!

Fernando was extremely helpful! From the beginning over the phone conversation to the process of fixing the car itself he was super accommodating and respectful. He made sure to be very honest and held to his word with the overall quality of everything. The actual labor was super quick and I was able to have my coolant reservoir replaced in less than an hour. They were able to offer me military discount and I was walked to my car and able to be sent off with a completely amazing experience overall. Would absolutely recommend to everyone in the south austin area!

These guys are literally the best in town. I happen to live across the street. Converted my whole Benz from a single tip to quad exhaust. Did it for aesthetics honestly. But the sound is quite amazing. If you re looking for a custom exhaust work, or simply maintenance done to your vehicle. Take your car to these guys. They sure got my business. Cheers.

I recently got a new engine in my work truck in Dallas and had the truck in Austin 3 days later. Soco was one of the only places open on a Saturday and I was turned away at Firestone not too far away. When I pulled up I was greeted with friendly faces and a family atmosphere. Went in because my cousin's husband, Armando Lira, recommended me to go to this shop, SoCo, to get my radiator leak fixed. I left my car and couple hours later it was ready.Recently, I could not pass my car's inspection because my Jeep's catalytic converter was malfunctioning. However, I brought it in to SoCo again and they fixed the problem in just 2 hours. I took it to get an inspection after driving it for 50 miles and it passed the test! Check Engine light also stayed off for good this time. I recommend going here!

Absolutely amazing experience. Brought my car in today to inspect the muffler. The team showed me exactly where things needed to be fixed and gave me options to repair. Had it back to me in 2 hours for a great price. Car is running perfectly again. Thanks y'all!!

This place was amazing to work with! They were super easy to reach over the phone, got me in for an appointment the next day, and had my car done within half a day. They are clearly very informed on all things exhaust and muffler and told me exactly what my options were for repairs/replacements. I have no expertise on pricing for things like this but it seemed reasonable to me. Would definitely recommend using them for any exhaust or muffler services!Service: Exhaust

Friendly, professional, honest, respectful, great prices, great service. I've taken my truck to them three times now. Each time, they've fixed the problem quickly, they've done a great job, and they've done it for a great price.Maybe the best thing about this shop is that they do NOT see a woman with a truck that has 225,000 miles on the odometer as an opportunity to "diagnose" a bunch of fake problems to try to get more money. It's refreshing to find an honest shop that doesn't do that. They've also done the repairs right the first time every time.I recommend them to all of my friends who need auto repair. I had an exhaust leak on my new truck, the team at Soco muffler took care of the issue very quickly and efficiently. Staff was accommodating and charged a fair price. Would highly recommend for anyone who needs exhaust and/or auto repair. Great team!

100% recommend! fast, friendly, & extremely reasonable price. i had cylinders misfire, spark plugs needed changed, a whole bunch of stuff. what was once a very stressful moment for me- immediately became relief as they were super helpful & fixed my car in a day. i dropped it off late the day before, & they worked on it first thing the next day, called me with updates & answered every little question i had. gave me a price estimate right away. didn t try to upsell & charge me for it like other mechanics i ve had, being a young female & not knowing much about cars, a mechanic trip can become a nightmare but they made that the opposite. support this local business & have your car fixed here. they re the best.

I've been taking my 2003 Ford Thunderbird to SoCo Muffler for over 4 years now, and they have consistently provided outstanding service. These guys are the best. I went the other day for brakes and an oil change because they are always the fastest and best priced. When I left the shop my vehicle lost power and I coasted off of the freeway. I called Rony, and his guys were there in minutes, even though it was not related to the work these guys performed. My throttle body failed and these guys got me back to the shop, fixed, and on the road before 5pm. Thanks Rony, and your amazing crew, for keeping me safe on the road with peace of mind. My AC stopped cooling while out of state during 108� heat wave and out of desperation I paid a lot of money to have a Honda dealership replace the compressor. The Honda certified technicians left me with an AC that blew cool air but not cold but luckily SoCo Auto Repair s technician was able to find their mistake and fix it for a very reasonable price. I wish I would have waited until I got back to Austin and had the work done here! The owner Ronnie was super helpful and the experience was as painless as it gets. I d 100% recommend this shop to anyone needing a trustworthy and competent mechanic.

While on vacay in Austin our Radiator got a leak and we needed to get back to west Texas the next day. This place was the best! Diagnosed the problem, drove us back to our Hotel free of charge, had it fixed and ready to go for us the next morning! Great results, honest work ethic, would recommend this shop highly! I had my catalytic converter stolen off my Honda Element. Price checked a dealer for Honda parts and the cost was $3800. I spoke with Ronnie and he fixed my car with an aftermarket converter and O2 sensor that was cut for $950. It's been 2 months now and my car runs great with no engine lights.
