I love Anmar. I've never had a better mechanic. He's straightforward about what I need and what solutions will be. He's affordable and doesn't try and up-charge out the wazoo. He's transparent about additional issues he discovers (if any) and if they need an immediate fix or if they can wait, along with fixing everything I brought the car in for. Further he's super personable and remembers me and my life every time, I love getting to catch up with him. Highly recommend bringing your business here!

Anwar is the best mechanic I ve ever seen! Friendly, honest, and very fast. Great prices too on a host of 03 Toyota repairs. Never going to a different mechanic!

Great place with great service- they fixed my car up perfectly after a crash and even washed it after. Very responsive, easy to deal with, and got my car fixed in just a little over a week with short notice. Amar was especially friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.

It was my first time for repairs here and it was recommended by a friend. Glad I came - they found the cause of my oil leak and were very communicative and direct with pricing. So glad I came; now I have a new mechanic I can trust! Thanks guys!

I have been going to Sam s Auto since 2003. They do great work and go above and beyond in their service. Also, they are honest and won t sell you on any unnecessary repairs. New to Austin and my check engine light came on Sunday night. I started Monday morning at Auto Tek- they told me they were booked out two weeks even for a diagnostic. They referred me to their "overflow" shop Lopez Auto Repair but I opted against. Next I went to Dave's Ultimate Automotive- they told me I could drop my car off Wednesday afternoon and should expect $160 for diagnostic. Finally, I called Sam's. I was told I could drop the car off later Monday morning and they'd have a diagnosis by mid day. Sure enough at about 2:00, I got a call that I needed new spark plugs/ignition coils. The car was ready to be picked up by 5:30 before they closed- amazing!!The repair for my 2017 Ford Edge came out to $760. When I called Dave's and asked for a quote for the same repair, they came back with $842 PLUS the $160 diagnostic.Well done, Sam's. I now have my new auto shop established!***UPDATE 2 WEEKS LATER***As it turns out, my vehicle unfortunately had deeper issues than Anmar had originally anticipated. 2 days after the first repair, the engine light came back on. Hoping for the best, Anmar (at no cost) replaced the spark plugs saying they could be defective. Unfortunately the check engine light then came back a week later meaning the plugs were fine and there was a deeper issue. Knowing about notorious issues with Ford EcoBoost engines (side note- NEVER BUY A FORD), Anmar even printed the bulletin from the Ford website for us. We took the car to the Ford dealership and they confirmed the car needed a completely new engine- estimated repairs of $9K. We let Anmar know of this diagnosis (which came at a $120 fee) and he told us if we brought the vehicle back to him he would replace with the original spark plugs which he had saved, and give us a FULL REFUND. Sure enough, an hour later the car was ready with a check for $760.Moral of the story, I will never take my car anywhere but Sam s as long as I live in Austin, and you should do the same. Incredibly honest and reliable business, hard to come by these days.THANK YOU ANMAR!

Anmar always is there to help me out with my 2006 Honda Accord! I ve had several issues over the past year and he always made sure I understood what was wrong and what needed to be done with a fair estimate. The job was done in a timely manner and I m so grateful for the service I get here every time I come! It s my go to place in Austin! Highly recommend!!

It s hard to find an honest mechanic these days but these guys are SO honest, so competent, so kind. I can t speak highly enough of them. I took my truck to other places who quoted me thousands of dollars, only to be told by Sam s that the issues were minor and just needed fluid replacement and some other smaller repairs. Thanks guys!!

Noticed my tire pressure light was on and stopped by out of the blue to see if they could help, since it was my lunch break and this place is around the corner.Mr. Anmar (I m so sorry if I got the name wrong!) was courteous and quick to help despite how busy they were and got things sorted immediately. Thank you, would recommend!

I work at the salon across the st and we all take our cars to Sam s. The nicest and most honest shop ever.They do a great job every time and for once I feel like I can take my car to the shop without getting robbed. Highly recommend it!

Very up front and honest about the work that needed done. Anmar was so kind and professional. He was sensitive to the fact that the estimate wasn t cheap and was very understanding when I asked for time to decide. Never pushy or tried to upsell me.

It takes some exemplary customer service to motivate me to write a review and these guys are definitely worth it.My car started to overheat and AC went out on a Friday and looked up the closest mechanic to me. I called them Monday morning, having not been a previous client, and was told to drop the car off and they would try to have it done by Wednesday. They explained what they thought the issue was and how they were going to fix it (radiator and hoses needed to be replaced +/- the thermostat, depending on whether I fried it by driving while the engine was overheating). I get a call the very next day, early afternoon, to tell me the car is all done and we opted not to replace the thermostat because it seemed to be functioning. After picking up the car, we discovered the thermostat did need to be replaced which luckily wasn't a surprise to me since they explained this possibility from the beginning. I couldn't drop the car off again until Saturday morning and expected to get in back the next week but they called me a little less than 3 hours later to let me know the thermostat was replaced and car was ready to go again. Picked it up, drove it around, good as new.I'm still so impressed with this business. Super polite and knowledgeable staff and just the fact that they worked so fast and got my car back to me ASAP was amazing. I highly recommend these folks to anyone.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

Anmar is one of the nicest guys of all time. Always honest with me, never tries to upsell me on anything. Honest, hard-working, good prices. The number of times Anmar has just told me, "It's on the house," is honestly incredible. I've been going here for years and years and won't go anywhere else!

I keep returning to Sam's because of the outstanding customer service. I brought my Mitsubishi in because it wasn't running normally and after diagnosing the problem was given several options beginning with the least expensive. Sam s auto care is absolutely fantastic! I bought my Subaru from here a few years ago and haven t had a single issue with it since I bought it. My friend bought two different Subarus from Sam s and had a great experience as well. I also bring my Subaru here for regular maintenance and they re super fast and easy to work with. The guy working the front desk is extremely kind and helpful.Someone ran into my Subaru while parked and they got a new bumper on in 3 business days. They re quick, kind, and easy to work with. Can t recommend them enough!

It s really hard to find a honest and good mechanic shop. I am very impressed how they took care of me. Their prices are fair and the quality of their work is very reliable. Great shop. Great customer service, great mechanic skills and know-how. I am glad I found you guys. You all are doing a wonderful job.

Sams Auto Care is a great little shop. I've had head gaskets replaced as well as a new throttle body installed along with a whole new AC system. Sam's Auto Care completed each repair in the given timeframe and with reasonable fees. Finding a good shop can be very challenging. Before landing at Sam's I had gone to three other shops ALL of which either provided horrible service, couldn't repair the issue the first time or just simply lied on when they could get to my car. But Sam's was on point. I've used them multiple times and haven't had any issues. I brought my car in for a variety of issues that other repair shops either couldn t figure out or wouldn t actually fix. I saw good reviews for Sam s and thought I d give them a shot. I could not be happier with that decision.Anmar was very friendly and helpful throughout the process, and it was clear that he was knowledgeable about common issues with my make and model. I recently bought a rebuilt/salvage Subaru Outback from Sam, and I couldn't be happier. This car was in a wreck, sold at auction, fixed up by Sam and his crew, and then I bought it. They did a beautiful job.Sam was helpful and open, he's super nice, and he dealt with extra paperwork and everything with a smile. After purchasing the Subaru, I promptly drove it from Austin to Colorado, up the side of a mountain on a pretty gnarly road, and it did great. A few days later, I made the straight shot from Denver to California, and then after a couple of days drove it on down into the high Sierras. All in all, I've already put 3,000 miles on this vehicle, she's humming along without a peep, and I'm super happy.All in all, I would say that Sam is really nice, they seem to have done exceptional work on this particular vehicle, and I would gladly recommend them to anybody in the Austin area.

This is a very fair and honest mechanic. I was going to the Nissan Dealer for all repairs and it was too expensive. Sams does the same work for half the cost. What he tells you, he charges you. This was the best auto shop experience I have ever had. I chose Sam's because it was in walking distance of my house but I am so pleased with my experience. They were quick, timely, and very helpful! Will be recommending to my friends and family and I recommend them to you! I got a battery replacement, they ordered by battery for me and had it swapped out quick!Service: Battery

Sam's is a class apart as far as auto repair shops go. Very friendly, transparent with work required and prices! The cherry on top is that they always offer the best deals around!! Anmar and the team are fabulous and always make time if you are in need of an urgent repair...cannot recommend them enough.

Here's how it went:I called ahead and was given a same day appointment.I came in, was greeted immediately, and surrendered my keys.I got a call an hour later letting me know some additional issue with my car. I am not a responsible car owner, so I know Sam's concerns were legit. I consented to the additional repairs.I got another call an hour later saying my car was ready.I went back and was greeted immediately. I paid a very reasonable price and drove away a few minutes later. My car has never run better.I will go to Sam's Auto from here on out!

Update - New Visit To Sam s and AnmarYet again, Anmar and his crew truly made a difference.The other week, my ATT light came on, and ll the other flashing icons on the dashboard when something goes awry. So I called Anmar, and visited the shop on Wednesday and was informed that my AT was out of fluid. Not a good thing, BUT, I had driven it gingerly from home to the shop so when he told me this, I was frankly seriously bothered. However, they flushed the transmission, put in new fluid, tested it, and told me that there were two pressure lines that looked dodgy, so they went ahead and ordered them.On the Friday, I returned, they installed the new lines, topped off the AT becuase of the switching out the lines, tested the car, and thankfully, the little blue beast was okay...PHEW.The level of service, and kindness, honesty from Anmar and the crew is a rarity these days. I have a 2011 Subaru Forester, and they know Subarus, and I will be going to see Anmar and Co as long as i have this car becuase they truly car about their customer..Thank you for everything Anmar!************What a fabulous shop and service.I had called and spoke to Anmar about having my 2011 Subaru looked at because it had developed a rather loud humming noise. Over the phone he suggested it might be the heat shields or bearings, and upon driving to the workshop/garage and after putting the car on the jack it was discovered that Anmar was correct and it was the bearings that had decided to give up the ghost.Anmar went through what they might discover just in case there where any surprises due to the rust (it had grown up in Illinois) and he showed me everything on the underside of the car so I could see what was what.They went ahead and started on the car around 10am and to my joy and surprise they had finished around 2.30pm, and I was overjoyed.Great customer service, (I was sat outside whilst I was waiting for my car to be completed and spoke to another couple of ladies who are regulars and they expressed nothing but happiness and satisfaction with the service offered), and fabulous workmanship.I have a few other things that need replacing that was pointed out to me (I have to do some serious saving but I will be a regular at Anmars shop from now on) however, I drove my car home with a huge smile on my face because that awful grinding sound was no more...and my car was happy!Thank you Anmar and your crew for a fabulous job, honesty and service.I can't recommend them enough...See you all soon.Andrew

Sam s was recommended to me by a friend and since it was the close to work I decided to take a chance. I knew I needed a maintenance check but hadn t planned on taking my car in at this time. Unfortunately the engine light came on and I knew if I kept driving the damage could only get worse. Best decision I made. They took care of the car immediately: calling me to let me know what they recommended, what it would cost and how long it would take. The work was done when they say it would be and cost what they said it would. They were also kind enough to give me a loaner even though they had never worked with me before. I ve gone to several mechanics since moving to Austin and these gentlemen by far are the most professional and honest.
