This was my first time experience with a radio shop that valued my business and did the work at a very reasonable rate. Prior to fixing my system, Raul pointed out the issue to me. After repairing my system, Raul took the time to show me the work that was done, which was way better than what another radio shop had done. Raul s commitment to do quality work at a reasonable price along with his great customer service was off the charts. I will definitely recommend this shop to my family and friends.

Had my windshield replaced recently and had to get my alarm situated. Stopped by here and they helped me out and got me all fixed up pretty quickly. Super friendly and nice. Couldn t ask for a better in shop experience. Next time I need something done for my car I m coming here.

I was told that this company was the company that will help me. Does anyone know if it's hard to get them to go and do a calibration on my Intoxalock device? My Jeep is at the dealer broken, and the calibration is due. I was told this is the only company that does it in Austin. I have till the end of day 3/15/24, to get this done, or else I will be in trouble. Does anyone know if they are usually able to fit people in when they have so little time? David

Please read before doing business here: I ended up choosing not to do business with Raul based on the basic principle of treating people with common courtesy and respect. Pease let me explain.Backstory:I had installed a plug-and-play stereo myself and the front speakers weren't working. I had a simple 5 minute question about 2 wires, but I was never able to get my question across because of Raul's inexplicable rudeness.Story:I set up an appointment for 10am on Saturday. The gal I spoke with, and who set my appointment, told me "Raul would be more than happy to troubleshoot your problems with you. He does that all the time!" Okay, great! Looking forward to getting in, showing him the wires and getting an answer! Great reviews, seems like a great place!Fast forward to Saturday. I arrive just before my 10am appointment.Raul pulls up. Immediately, before I can even say hello, acts as if I am a total interruption to his morning. I never ended up being able to explain my question because any time I opened my mouth he would cut me off - no joke.Within the first 2 minutes of trying to explain, he interjects "I HAVE 3 OTHER CUSTOMERS WAITING HERE!". Mind you, this is less than 2 minutes into my conversation with him.But, moreover, how can you have 3 other customers waiting (there was only 1) when I had an appointment set and was promised by your receptionist that I would be able to ask a simple question. It would have taken no longer than 5 minutes!Instead my entire morning was wasted. Raul demanded that I drop off my vehicle, but what he did not understand is that the answer to my question would dictate whether or not it even made sense to drop it off! I was never able to explain, like a bad comedy skit. I tried 3 times to explain, but Raul wasn't listening and body language and tone were beyond rude.After giving up on trying to explain the issue, and acquiescing to his demand, I simply asked, "When would be a good time to drop off my vehicle this week?" We are now less than 3 minutes into having met, but even that simple question was a hassle for Raul! He just shrugs, "I'm busy all the time! JUST CALL".I don't care about the price or the reputation of the work. If you cannot treat people with common courtesy, then don't run a business. Keep your day job at Tesla. I would rather spend double somewhere else that actually treats people with respect.In the meantime, I will be going to another car audio shop that is much further from my home. I would rather spend more money in order to be treated with respect than trust a rude business with my vehicle. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because maybe he was having a bad day??? But, I don't know as this is one of the rudest experiences I have had in my 10 years of living in Austin.

R2 Audio for the win! They went above and beyond helping my boyfriend fix his audio in his 4Runner. I highly recommend them and will definitely be coming back for any audio needs we have in the future.

This place is great! If you're on the fence about where to take your car, just go here - they're the best! They installed a dash cam for me - the process was super fast and the service was awesome. You can't beat the price either!

This is the BEST radio and alarm car service. They care about the customer and will genuinely help however they can. I went in today thinking I would need an entire radio replaced and turns out it was a small wiring issue. They saved me over $200 because I was able to send the replacement radio back to Amazon! And, they only charged $40 for service! Will come back any time!

I ended up getting stuck at a Parking Spot due to a security feature the dealer did not remove from the car, and which I had lost the key for. Very friendly on-site service, worth the wait, and definitely saved me towing fees. I cannot recommend R2 enough!

I recently had my Honda Insight upgraded at R2 and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Raul was incredibly knowledgeable and suggested the perfect setup for my car - he even understood when I actually said I don't want TOO much bass lol.I actually drove straight here after getting a quote at Custom Sounds that seemed insane to me. I was right! Raul was a much cheaper solution for what I was seeking.The installation was done efficiently and professionally, with a keen eye for detail. The final product exceeded my expectations and I have been driving around with no destination just to enjoy the beauty of the new system.I highly recommend R2 to anyone looking for top-notch car audio installation services. The personal touch and expertise of Raul at this small business made all the difference in my experience.

Went looking for a fuse that s being phased out. Owner went out of his way to help the best he could. Also gave great recommendations to get a permanent fix to my fuse problem.

I called Raul this morning and had read all the great reviews on line about his work and how pleased customers were. I have an older Toyota 4Runner and didn t know if it at one time had a alarm system. He said that he would be happy to check out my 4Runner. Within a few minutes, he stated that at one time it did, but everything was stripped out. He sold me an alarm system with keyless entry and within the hour he had installed it and needless to say , I was thrilled about the price and service I received! I would highly recommend him!

Seriously awesome work. Honest, fast and professional. We called after hours when the dealership left us stranded. Raul got our car in and out and back on the road that same day. Super up front about pricing, totally reasonable costs, he runs an honest business. When it comes to car electronics, Raul is the best of the best!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Raul and the business he runs at R2 Car Alarm & Audio. After failed attempts with my own Jeep dealer and a Task Rabbit individual to install an aftermarket backup camera and BT/CarPlay radio, R2 was basically my last effort before giving up and just putting my old radio back in. I was so so pleased with the friendliness and transparency Raul obviously prioritizes when he conducts business. Not only was he quick and knowledgeable, but he spoke with tech support from three different companies to ensure the right parts were ordered and that any necessary troubleshooting went smoothly. Raul was also patient and thorough before deeming my job complete. I'd recommend Raul at R2 for any audio and alarm needs over dealers and big name audio shops. You won't be disappointed!

I found R2 Audio on Google after getting pretty high quotes from Custom Sounds and another shop in South Austin - for a simple sub and amp addition to my factory system. Nothing complicated, just looking for an affordable price for the work requested. Raul (installer) was upfront about price, didn't nickel and dime me for the wiring kit and line converter output I needed to make the job happen, and even fit us in his schedule same day. The work was clean and met expectations. I am extremely satisfied with the results and recommend R2 Audio.

Polite, fast and didn t charge as much as he estimated-WOW! Update: I came back for some new work done. I had to wait a couple days but Well Worth It (fast, quality work. Reasonably priced! Why go anywhere else. And I Don t know them, either.)

R2 IS THE BEST!!!!!! He got my door speakers replaced and my sub/amp installed for me the SAME DAY that I called for information. He took the time to listen and ask questions about what I was looking for and made personalized suggestions. I appreciate when a business cares more about the customers needs rather than just trying to constantly upsell. The sound quality of the products I got installed is crystal clear. Overall, they made everything an easy process, affordable, and the quality of his work is impressive. I will definitely be using R2 Car Alarm & Audio again.

Better, quicker, and cheaper than I expected. I had a stereo and rear view camera installed. The owner was very professional and knowledgeable, and got the install done incredibly quickly (as soon as parts arrived) He even took the time to show me the basics I needed to know about the system once it was installed. 100% recommend. They say you can't have all 3: Do it well, do it fast, and do it cheap, but he did all three!

Honest, knowledgeable and efficient. I brought in a Hyundai SUV with blown base speakers. Raul pointed out that the car's audio software system allowed for a less expensive repair than I expected. Raul did a stellar job in a short period of time and the car sounds amazing! Thanks Raul!

My Bluetooth had been failing on my stereo unit and I've spent hours on it to no avail. I called several shops in the area and R2 was the only one who made time for me. Raul came out and diagnosed the problem in minutes, fixed the Bluetooth and then stuck around to help me with another unrelated car issue. He was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. I'm not used to feeling this good after visiting a repair shop. Truly excellent service, caliber and character. Give your business to R2.

Really excellent experience here. I tried to install a sound system myself but was having an issue with it, so I called this place up and conveniently they had an opening for an appointment the next day. Brought the car in and Raul was able to diagnose and solve the issue in no time at all. If I need anything else with my car I will definitely be coming back

I cannot say enough good things about Raul at R2. He was a life saver. I had to hurry up and get my speakers out of my wreck that was undrivable before the insurance company towed it off. He was able to fit me into his schedule last minute with no issue and met me at the collision place. Couldn't ask for better service. So inexpensive it's almost wrong. Then exactly a week later he installed my new system in the new ride and it sounds brilliant. Fast, friendly, high quality work. I highly recommend R2 for all your car audio needs!

I recently paid off my car and had been wanting to upgrade from my factory speakers to something a little better, clearer, and louder. I was expecting the process to be complicated and expensive. Raul did an amazing job explaining what was needed and not needed for my vehicle to get the result I wanted. He delivered exactly what he said he would and on time. I had been struggling to get my malfunctioning car alarm fixed for the past 5 months, and Raul fixed it in 90 seconds. It was so nice for someone to a) believe me when I described the issue, b) explain what the potential causes and mitigations where, and c) fix it so fast!!! Had an issue come up with my car alarm where it wouldn t let me start me car due to a faulty transmitter. We called Raul and he was able to walk us through how to get it working temporarily and then also replaced my transmitter so we didn t have the issue again. Appreciate all your help this weekend and quick responses. Thank you so much!
