I've had very little experience with body shops (fortunately). Our car was sideswiped pretty badly and the person who did it had decent insurance. I had the car towed over to Oak Hill Body & Paint. They were close to our home and on the insurance company's approved list.Chris was incredibly helpful in every way. He got the estimate done quickly. When the insurance company gave him the OK to proceed he told me it'd take about two weeks.Two weeks later, to the day, he called and let us know our car was ready. It actually looked much better than before the accident. Not only did they fix everything perfectly, they detailed the car and it was gleaming!We were very lucky. No one was hurt, the insurance company gave us a rental car for the whole time and Oak Hill Body & Paint did such a great job, it's like it never happened. I'd certainly go to them again for any body or paint issues.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

The best body shop in town!! I had a small accident, I probably went 6-7 different places, and he gave me the best price and he didn t even try to charge me for some extra stuff like the other body shops did. Nick is an awesome guy, I m so glad that I found this place. Highly recommended.

what a joke.. was recommended to oak hill body and paint by a few personal friends. .. Called and discussed damage to my f-250 with Ian... Told me they get right on it and get it and tear it down for the insurance company to valuate damage. cool.. so I took down to shop and dropped off. week 1. excuse of not having a bed lift available as they had other vehicles on the lifts. said they had another lift ordered and on its way.. week 2. no lift, no look at. week 3. no lift no work done. week 4. nothing.. multiple conversations (email) about scope of work and timing. thanked me for understanding and apologized for the delay. following Monday I get an email stating to come pick up the truck as they don't have the qualified technicians or adequate equipment to work on truck..What a complete waste of my time. there is a word in the dictionary No.. if you don't have the skills, time or equipment to provide the service.. just say so and not waste peoples time.OBTW.. picked up truck and took to Caliber repair, they had it looked at and evaluated in 2 days.. guess what??? $40K worth of repair making it an easy decision for the insurance company to total the vehicle..do yourself a favor and don't' waste your time with this unprofessional company..

I took my Corvette there and they failed to deliver a quality paint job over and over. The first time there was horrible orange peel and sanding marks all over the place that my 4 year old could have seen that from across the parking lot. The 2nd time I took the car home and got out while the car was in the sun light and noticed the car was two different colors completely! One side was a cool black the other was obviously a browner black. I took a picture where the panels meet and the 16 year old side was not only a different color, it had a vastly better finish. I took the car back again and said I don't care how long it takes, make it right. Another 2 weeks went by and I went to pick it up again and again there's orange peel really bad on the last inch of the panels and the color on one the quarter panel is better but in the sun its still off from hood to nose panel. The painter obviously didn't want to mess with the front nose emblem so he left it on and attempted to sand and buff around it. The scratches around it were so bad I had to heat the emblem and remove it, buff and correct under, and reinstall the emblem myself. At this point I don't want them to touch my car again, I'm done giving chances. I asked them about all the bad reviews on Google and Yelp and they said most of them are fake. I'm here to say they're not. Their painter gives zero F***s and its blatantly obvious in his work. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR VEHICLE.UPDATE: I found today that they didn't wire my HID headlights properly back the way they were. They even left a cable attached to nothing dangling. What a joke of a shop!

There is a reason why there are so many 1 star reviews of this place. I won't get into details - but my experience was as poor a service experience as any I can recall - and I've been around for a while. There are many good options in the area. Looking around may be worth your time.

We took a wrecked bumper in to have all of the damaged parts replaced. This was an insurance claim on another party. The shop quoted us a total bumper repair. After having our car for a week we asked when we could pick it up. They said they were still waiting on sensor parts. We told them we needed the car back but could pay in full if they'd just call us when the sensors arrived. They said they would be in touch. Almost 2 months later, I call the shop and they now state that the sensors were not a part of the original quote and we needed to pay more money if we wanted them replaced. The new manager Ian actually hung up on me as I was explaining that this was poor customer service. They said they recently fired the old manager which is the one who gave us his word, but they will not stand behind it. This shop is not honest or forthcoming. They do not stand by their word. READ ALL THE FINE PRINT AS THEY WILL TRICK YOU INTO BELIEVING YOU ARE GETTING ONE THING BUT ACTUALLY ONLY DO A PARTIAL JOB. Terrible customer service by new manager Ian. Absolutely dishonest and crooked.My vehicle was involved in an accident and brought to their facility on 2/9 I literally called everyday to check on when they d be assessing it and I would never get a response. I had to show up in person on 2/26 to talk with the owner nick to get anything done. He assured me he would have it looked at the next day and have assessment sent to insurance same day. Insurance didn t get the paperwork until the 3/1 when he told the insurance company he didn t have the equipment to even work on the vehicle.All in all he kept the vehicle to collect a daily storage fee from the insurance knowing he couldn t fix it. Now I m out of pocket paying for a rental and he ran off with a daily storage rate he billed to insuranceDO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE

I'd rather not write a negative review - particularly with a shop that I had used for the past 10 years but my most recent experience is more indicative of an attitude than their competence.I had my son's car repaired here after an accident. When I picked it up, I pointed out two noticeable gaps in the bumper cover and fender (one on each side). They were going to deliver it to me without saying a word about it.Bo, one of the estimators told me to bring it back and he would make it right. Well, three trips later it is still not right and I won't be back for a fourth. Each time I returned, Bo was more concerned with finding a 'cause' for why their workmanship was so poor - he wanted to attribute it to my son's driving.If it was fixed correctly the first time I wouldn't have to write this review. There are other shops - equally as competent and you won't feel like their workmanship is subject to a critique of the car's care when it is not parked in their repair facility.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Body & Trim

These guys are great. The customer service is top notch. They actually pick up the phone and do estimates right away. I thought for sure I was facing a large bill for paint that someone got on my new car in a parking lot. Their rep came out to give me an estimate and he was able to clean it off with a special cleaner at no charge to me! If I need body work or paint down the line I m using these guys for sure!! Thank you to the nice guy who helped me out yesterday during these difficult times!! Much appreciated and your shop has my future business!

Recently took my car in (during this stage-3 COVID-19 period) to repair damage on two driver's side-doors. Their estimates were good (I also obtained estimates from three other shops as well), they fulfilled their time commitments, the repair work and paint finish was very high quality, and the insurance was handled seamlessly. No complaints. I recommend them.

Nick was amazing with our sons car. He was new to Austin and we could not have been more pleased with the outcome of the work and the great service. Trust is so important and Oak Hill can be trusted to do a great job at a fair price.

It took them a while to actually START working on my car; they did warn me ahead they were quite booked. But 4 business days later, my ruined trunk door was replaced, identical paint job, and excellent all-round work. I'm happy with them.

Oak Hill Body and Paint is the best body shop in Texas! They work quickly and expertly. My car looks perfect. They worked with me and helped me out so much. They even stayed late so I could pick up my car. Their work and customer service is second to none.

This second generation, family-owned business is very customer focused. The owner and staff are highly professional and knowledgeable, patiently explaining the issues and delivering on repairs and service in a timely manner. I am new to Texas and had the misfortune of having the passengers side of my car damagedby a hit and run. Thankfully, I was referred to Oak Hill Body & Paint.Nick, the owner was fantastic!!! My family has been taking our work - insurance claims and random vehicle problems - to Oak Hill Body and Pain for years.They have ALWAYS taken care of us.We have had body work done on our race truck in the past, and my Jeep had problems with the top (self-inflicted) that they put up with and did the best they could with a faulty "skyslider." I've been hit by a guy U-turning in the street, and I had also tapped a light pole which they had to repaint and did an excellent job.Highly recommended.Remember, it's typically just the irritated people that leave reviews. Every time I did a quick look-up for them up on Google for their phone number, I would see the stars and wonder why they're so low.-John Michael Voudouris

Absolute waste of time. USAA directed me here to get my car repaired. All they had to do was replace the rim and do a tire alignment. I dropped the car off in the morning and called at the end of the day to see if the car was ready only to find out that their alignment machine was down and since they wanted to do everything at once, they decide to do nothing at all. These guys had the simplest of task, replace a rim, and it took them all day and they still couldn't do it. If USAA directs you here, go somewhere else!

Friendly and efficient. Took them less than 10 minutes to fix my small defect and cost 5x LESS than the quote I was given by another shop. I recommend.

Got a bid for $1,350 to replace my passenger side mirror. Only the plastic cover was damaged. Oak Hill Paint & Body replaced that part for $97.34 and got it done in about 25 minutes.
