Mario's gets high praise, not only from me but other local businesses on the East side. They're fast, able to resolve some safety issues immediately. For example, my windshield wipers were toast and I wouldn't pass without a replacement. They have new options to overcome this and it was well worth the money for the quality and convenience. Highly recommend doing an appointment online, but if you can't manage that ahead of time, be prepared to wait for your turn.

Excellent service, inspection was on time and efficient. Mario was very sweet, he showed me how to replace my break light while he was completing my inspection. Plus gave me some good food recommendations. Recommend him highly!

I've been coming here for years, and have watched the business grow. I highly recommend the headlight restoration. Mine were so cloudy. I went from low visibility at night to like new...tyNote: I couldn't give 5 stars bc the wait times have really gotten long

I don t write negative reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. I came here for an inspection and they failed me because my windshield wipers weren t working properly which is completely fine! They replaced the blades and sent me on my way without fully fixing the issue because they didn t have time. Understandable.I take my car to another shop a couple weeks later to fix my wipers. When inspecting my car, they said whoever replaced my wipers put on the wrong sizes, causing them to not function properly.I called Marios Inspection to let them know that they had accidentally put on the wrong size. I m in another state right now and won t be back anytime soon. Dom explained that there was nothing he could do nor could he offer me a refund without me bringing back in my old blades because it s all he said she said . I get that there are bad people out there who lie or try to get handouts, but there are honest people who just want accountability taken for when there was a mistake made.Car issues can be super stressful but a little kindness and accountability can go a long way.

Got an inspection and oil change here- super quick service, affordable, and the staff was very friendly!There are a lot of great shops within walking distance while you wait. Overall a great experience and I ll be back.

I need an inspection last minute and Mario s Inspection delivered the service needed. I recently went, I did not have an appointment but I would probably make an appointment if at all possible to avoid a long wait. I think I got lucky and didn t have to wait more than 10 mins. Inspection was quick. Very reasonable cost. There s some seating area and a nice green area too. I would gladly come back again.

I'm new to Austin and went to Mario's for an inspection to get my TX registration. The crew was super nice and the service went faster than expected! Great price, and there was a nice, shaded spot with chairs outside to sit & wait. Definitely recommend!

Waited for over 2.5 hours for an inspection. Watched them continuously skip over me and when I asked the woman working the desk she kept saying I m second in line EVERY time I asked. Really disappointing considering all the other reviews were good noting how quick they were. Wouldn t recommend them unfortunately.

Was dreading having to go this done today. The gentleman checking me was very friendly. Service itself very efficient. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes roughly. Now that Alan's Inspection on North Lamar is gone, sadly, this is my new go-to spot for inspections without a doubt!

Well, I've been there at least 3-5 times maybe more! I've never experienced any attitude, some days they were busy other times it would be slow but never once did they have an attitude. They would just take their job serious and that's a good thing. I recommend Mario's!

I had a good experience here getting my inspection done. The team was very helpful the minute I walked in. I got serviced the way I wanted. The walk in wait wasn t that bad. I was able to get work done while I waited and walked away happy!

By far the best place in this area of town. I have done 2 inspections with them so far and my experience has been good on both times. Even though I was a walk-in I managed to be in and out fairly quickly. The place is clean and I have seen lots of high-end cars there.I will definitely keep using their services even if that means driving a bit longer.

This place is AWESOME, these guys got me in quick, I drive around town for a minute trying to get my inspection for my pickup but everyone was closed or closing and it's difficult for me to find time during the day because I'm always out on the road but stopped here about 6pm and bam, got in with no wait, thank you guys

With professional staff and quick service, you will have a great experience getting your car inspected at Mario s. High recommend this place. Came here without appointment and in less than half an hour I was out with my inspection paper.

Scheduled an appointment and showed up 10 minutes early but still had to wait while other cars were taken in before mine. Charged me double for an inspection compared to what I usually pay elsewhere. Before paying I was assured that I would be seen by my appointment time but ended up waiting longer than what I scheduled. They also said if I wanted air put in my tires they would charge me $5. Did not like the way they drove my car. Office was also shady and had a bit of attitude. Will not be returning.To address the response from the business owner:1. I walked in at promptly 3:50pm for a 4:00 appointment. I intentionally arrived 10 minutes early. If you want to argue about it check your cameras. My eta was 3:47, I checked in 10 minutes ahead of time. You told me my car would be looked at within 10 minutes at 3:55pm. I know because I checked my clock the moment you said that.2. You told me you would have my car inspected within 10 minutes. I was doubtful so naturally I kept my eye on the clock as I was waiting. You did not pull my car into the inspection area until 4:15. I did not leave until just before 5pm. The entire inspection process was unnecessarily time-consuming.3. I typically go to the 10 minute sticker station in San Marcos. Customer service is excellent, been going there for years. I pay $7. Process takes 10 minutes. Highly recommend. I thought I would make my inspection more convenient by going in town. Big mistake.4. Your office is a trailer in a parking lot. It smells funky and it's dirty. That's what I mean by shady.5. I wrote this review when I was waiting in your shady office for almost 30 minutes to get my car inspected. The review was submitted before you failed me. Giving me a failed inspection for one license plate light being out was the cherry on top. I didn't mention that in the review because it hadn't happened yet. My review reflects my experience before that happened.Next time a customer gives you honest feedback about your business maybe be receptive? Perhaps use it as an opportunity to prove your superior customer service skills or improve your business instead of putting your immaturity on display? Just a thought.

Mario's was a great find for me as the mom and pop shop I used to go to closed down. I used them for their inspection service, and they were quick and very professional. I recommend making an appointment as I right away noticed they are a popular place. They also do oil changes as their second (and only other) service. They also have a second location outside of Austin.

Yesterday we went at the last minute to do an inspection and it was about 10 minutes before they closed. However, they all took care of us more than kindly. A professional job, without long waits despite going without an appointment and I emphasize again although they were already going to close. I sincerely appreciate your incredible service. Easy appointment system, in and out as expected! End of the month it gets pretty busy for the two man operation, keep that in mind. You can get an inspection somthimg like 90 days before your registration expires (on tx) so pick a good mid-month time, with an appointment, and get in and out quick.

April 2, 2021 This was my first time going to Mario's for a vehicle inspection, I went solely based on the public reviews saying that Mario's is following Covid precautions. I was very happy with the experience. I was greeted (at a distance) in the parking lot by a man wearing a mask and gloves. The seating waiting area is outdoors, you can sit in the shade or in the sun if you prefer. The inspection was quick, no more than 15 minutes. Once done I was asked to go to the checkout area which was also very Covid safe, everything was behind plexi glass. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and professional. I highly recommend Mario's for your vehicle inspection.

Great service! Fast and convenient location. I came in for an inspection and Mario and Tee kindly let me know I was due for an oil change and engine filter. They were both transparent on what they recommended be done and showed me exactly why my car needed it. I trusted them and they did a great job!

Have gone here the past two years without any issues. Very efficient service, nice people, and they recently opened up an air-conditioned area to wait, which is nice. But on this last inspection, they charged me $60 for wiper blades when they re half as expensive everywhere else. $32 on Amazon for the same ones. When I pushed back, the person working argued that their price is comparable with other auto-parts stores, which is not true. I recommend buying and replacing your wiper blades before coming here to save yourself some money. Lost a lot of trust in them today.

Took my travel trailer for inspection. I did setup an appointment online to make it quick. Tech was real nice and checked everything and was in and out really quick. Only thing I didn't like was the seating was directly in the sun. Other then that this place is awesome.

I have a long road trip coming up from TX to OR and wanted to dbl check that my Rav is safe and ready to hit the road. I ve been getting regular oil changes at Mario s ever since I moved here - service is great, good pricing, friendly staff and overall good experience. I called from San Antonio, to find a shop that did emissions testing on my out of state Truck. They said they could do it and I headed to Austin had a few cars ahead of me but it was worth the wait.

Overall a great experience from start to finish. Scheduling an appointment online was very easy. Upon arrival I was immediately checked in. I was literally in and out in 20 minutes. They were friendly and efficient. They are also open 7 days a week which is really convenient. I will definitely be going back to Mario's and will be recommending them to friends.
