This place is amazing!! I've been to Lugnuts multiple times and they always do a fantastic job and it's always was less than what I was quoted at other places. I've had issues with my car and there has been times they've helped me out of the kindness of their heart due to it being something they could not directly fix. Go here!!

Patrick and his team are great! It s amazing to know a super reliable mechanic as a woman. He was super honest and checked out the stuff I told him from another diagnostic. Super affordable as well! And he got it done very quick! I was recommended to Lugnuts by another brake shop because they didn t work on older cars like my 90 reatta. So a great discovery on my end for Lugnuts :))

Charged me for rotors and pads only replaced the pads. Be carefulupdate: patrick reached out in attempt to correct the issue unfortunately I had already had it redone elsewhere. Bumped the rating up a bit bc the follow up customer service was highly respectable. Thanks for your efforts patrick!Services: Brakes, Oil changeServices: Brakes, Oil change

The mechanic sounds like a nice guy over the phone, and I m sure he does a great job, but he requires cars stay with him for an indefinite long period of time. He quoted me 2 days or longer to get my replace my nut keys replaced on 2 wheels. It s a 10 min job. Damn. Walmart was able to do the job 20 min before they closed. He also doesn t do appointments.

We have been taking both of our vehicles here for a few years and have always had an awesome experience! Patrick is a great guy! The prices are fair and they get the job done fast! This time my husbands 98 Chevy Silverado and my 2005 Subaru Forester BOTH broke down on the SAME day at the SAME time!! So weird, but we had both of them towed to Lugnuts and they were both fixed on the same day!!! WOW!On another note, I have had other auto shops mess up my Subaru because they didn't know how to work on it. This place is awesome with my Subaru!

Highly highly recommend, brought subarau to another shop(Austin automotive specialists) where I was quoted @4 gs for work, went to Lugnuts for a 2nd opinion, and received a quote that was significantly more reasonable. Then when the work was started was informed I didn t need a bunch of the new parts I was originally told I needed from the other shop. Car is running great and I really appreciate Lugnuts honesty and transparency. 5+ out of 5.Service: Air conditioning

I really appreciate that I was able to get a quick and easy quote here without any hassle. So many other places wouldn t return my call/email, tried to charge me for a quote, or insisted on doing a full diagnostic (even though I told them I already had one). The price seems very reasonable too! Labor at $135 per hour.

Patrick went above and beyond in figuring out what was wrong with the tail lights of my mom's car. Our family thanks you for being more than fair to us and persevering in figuring out the problem. A pat on a back!Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

More a point of information than a review. I found out upon driving up for a headlight bulb replacement that they do not touch European cars (Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, etc- they went down the list). I can't fault them for sticking to their preferences, but I wish it was on their website or elsewhere (it currently just says Import & Domestic, which seems to cover most makes).I decided to try them because these guys came highly recommended for general automotive repair from anyone I talked with. The folks who turned me away could not provide a recommendation for a different mechanic who services European cars, so I had to find somewhere else to go. For what it's worth, they did seem like nice people and I appreciate their honesty and promptness to not waste any time. I was able to quickly move on to the next neighborhood shop on my list to have the service performed.

I have had 3 different cars I have been taking to Lugnuts over the last 10 years. The customer service is great. I always feel like they are shooting me straight and if something goes wrong they have always taken care of me and fixed it. Cars breaking down for someone that s not a car person can be incredibly stressful. Patrick at lugnuts has taken a lot of that stress out of it over the last 10 years. Thankful I found them when I moved to Austin.

These guys are AWESOME. Brought my Jeep in with a couple leaks and several issues I wanted to get checked out before my extended warranty expired. They fixed the leaks and checked out my other concerns, and I got my car back running better than ever. I especially appreciate how Patrick kept me updated on the repair process. I got my car back in two days, which was a lot quicker than I was expecting, so I was very happy, plus their prices are fair and cheaper than I was expecting. These guys have earned my trust, which is huge considering most mechanics have been manipulative in my experience as a minority. Will definitely be coming back for all my future auto needs!

Taken all my cars here for a long time. Patrick helps me out anytime with good and honest service. They have a good reputation so they can be busy but if I get there before 10am they usually get it done that day. If it's more complicated service then they are honest about telling you if it may have to stay overnight. Price reasonable for Austin

This was my first time to go to Lugnuts - but I had heard good things about it from neighbor's on Next Door. My old Mazda 5 began to make a very upsetting noise, and I was afraid it would be a major problem, along with a major expense. But not at all. The guy said the noise was not my transmission (as I had feared) or the things that hold up the engine (you see how sophisticated my car knowledge is) - but was one single bracket, which wasn't even that expensive. What a relief! And now I know I can trust them - another huge relief!

Honest Mechanics!I've been twice. The first time they priced under the other shops I called so I went with Lugnuts and had a great experience. Now for the real story. After a week of troubleshooting with my mechanic buddies, we are stumped by the fact my car won't start. I just replaced the battery, we checked all of the fuses etc, and could only conclude that a new alternator was in order. So I bring my truck into Lugnuts and tell them I need a new alternator. 30 minutes later they call me back to pick up my truck. Turns out the paint on the battery terminals (newly purchased) was creating a poor connection - so the good dudes at Lugnuts simply scrubbed the paint off and let me free for $20.It would have been easy for them to lie and tell me a new alternator was needed, and I would have gladly paid since I went in there telling them I needed one. It shows how truly honest these guys are to find the simple fix and not charge me.

I'm so glad I found these guys..My first experience was on a Friday night right before 6pm.Somehow the latch to my trunk broke,It was bouncing up and down driving me nuts and I was in a hurry to get out of town.I randomly pulled into their parking lot to try and rig it up temporarily, the mechanic on duty was closing shop, but he came out and spent about 15 minutes helping get it locked down,he was off the clock and their was no charge. It stayed locked down all week.. Another time my car was making a strange noise and I feared the worst, They fixed it for around$18..!! I know there are a lot of shops that would have taken advantage of my lack of car knowledge. This the only shop I've found in Austin that I feel I can truly trust...and I've lived here over 30 years, keep it up guys!!

A friend recommended that I come here for any car problems, and I m so glad I did. They were honest, affordable and performed the repairs in a very timely manner. Easy to talk to, and even fixed a minor issue for free that was causing me grief. Happy to have a found a reliable and trustworthy mechanic, thanks Lugnuts! Will be returning here for any future needs for sure.

Patrick and Jason were super helpful! Lugnuts did a fantastic job replacing the supercharger on my 2004 Nissan Frontier. They went above and beyond, and they charged a very reasonable amount.I'd definitely recommend them without hesitation. In fact, I'm taking the truck back for some a/c work next week.

Honest, fair, and quick.Victim of own success, willalways be busy,I've had occasion to bring my car to Lugnuts twice now, and they've been great each time. They even called to say that they weren't going to do something that had been recommended by the manufacturer because it wasn't going to be good for my car considering the condition. Definitely recommended.

I can't say enough good things about these guys. I drive an older model Mustang that I love, but need help with maintenance and care. I have been using them as my mechanics for a few years and have always been very satisfied with how they handled any problem, always keeping me informed and always treated fairly and never talked down to, even when I had dumb questions. They go above and beyond with performance and customer service.

These guys are good people. I brought my car in here for a 2nd opinion after I got a diagnoses from a different shop. It took the other shop 2 weeks to diagnosis what it took Lugnuts just half a day to diagnose. And Lugnuts diagnosis fee was way cheaper than the other. These guys are good people and I'll be bringing my business here from now on. Thanks!

Awesome little shop. Took my car in to have a diagnostic done. They normally charge $100 for a diagnostic. They weren't able to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem and didn't charge me anything for the work they did! Will definitely be coming back to them in the future with any engine repairs that are needed!

Maybe these guys have changed since I was last there in 2017, when they claimed to do work they didn't and charged me at least double. This was after they did an excellent job once on one vehicle, which made me trust them with another vehicle,(#1, Great Job)They flushed the radiator and cooling system, but broke a rusted bolt on the water neck. They tapped it out and replaced the bolt. The vehicle ran much cooler afterwards. They charged me less than I expected.(#2, Charged me double for work not done.)A hose fitting was dripping coolant on a spark plug and a cylinder coil, which caused it to short out and not fire the cylinder. They claimed to have replaced 2 coils, but one coil and spark plug had no residue on it, and was an original part, not replacement. I took photos before and after and confirmed the obvious. They also claimed the coolant was brown, old and gunky, to have flushed and replaced it. I seemed to remember that I had checked for new coolant when I had bought the vehicle 3 months before. I took photos before I bought the vehicle, and before and after I brought it to lugnutz, and confirmed the coolant was in good shape, just slightly used, and hadn't been replaced.Trust is a hard thing to get back. I haven't been back and never will be.
