Joe is fantastic. I had an O2 sensor broken on my MDX and it is at the backside behind engine. I bought the part and tried install myself. But there is no space and no visual of O2 port. I called Joe and then took my car over and get it replaced the same day.He even gave me rides from his shop to my house! Price is very reasonable!!!

Stay away!After getting my car's issue diagnosed at this shop, I asked for an estimate 3 times and never got it. Made payment on the diagnosis, asked for my keys. He said he lost them. He looked for my keys for 3 days. He would not give me a timeline on replacing my keys and instead made excuses and was combative. After the replacement key was made, I tried to pick up my car twice but couldn't get the keys from him. 9 days after making payment, he left the key in the wheel well in an unattended lot overnight for me to retrieve. The replacement key was on a keychain that says "patience".Service: General repairs & maintenance

Had the pleasure of finding Joe via a recommendation from a friend and I couldn t be happier. Joe was very knowledgeable and fair with our brake job. We got 3 quotes and he wasn t the lowest but had the best customer service! He explained everything before he did any work and was very speedy with the turnaround. I am not one to typically write reviews but Joe is amazing!! He is very honest and trustworthy. I will never take my vehicle to anyone else. In fact, my mom and boyfriend both take their vehicle to Joe now as well. He is very affordable and reasonable. He's professional and will shoot you straight. Joe will be upfront and honest with you and is not out there to just "make an extra buck" like most mechanics. I won't ever buy or sell a vehicle without Joe looking it over.GO SEE JOE!! He's the best!

I don t trust just anyone with my vehicles and I m not even entirely comfortable with getting an oil change these days. When I ran out of time to do some of the most basic maintenance needs myself, I went to Joe. With no surprise (he s gone above and beyond for my mom on many occasions), I had such a wonderful experience. Joe s phenomenal not only as a mechanic but as a genuine and compassionate human being. He will always tell you what you really can use without the extra BS mechanics usually layer on. I know we can all appreciate that. I had my struts, brakes, and leaky valve cover replaced and some additional routine maintenance done. I was able to do more than all that if required and pushed for it but, Joe would only do what was necessary and really needed and had my car back to me on schedule. I cannot appreciate him and his shop more. For as long as we re in the same city, I ll be the biggest fan and supporter of his local shop! He s so deserving and so are you!

Wrote a quick review recently, but wanted to elaborate.Joe and his team (including wife Lindsey) are top notch in my opinion.Their customer service, work quality, rates and overall experience is what's missing in today's businesses. Its difficult to find this in today's world, plus he's kind and trustworthy which is a huge + in my book. He also took the time explaining things and going over details with me on everything....I never felt rushed. Talk about true, personal, customer service!I know the "list" of items/issues on my truck were extensive and challenging, but Joe knocked it all out like a boss; and in an impressive time frame! I am VERY pleased!Needless to say, he will be my go to....Thank You Joe!!

When we lived in another part of Texas we had a mechanic that we could trust to give us great service at a fair price and not charge us for things that didn't not need to have done and do it all in a timely manner. We have been looking for such a mechanic ever since we moved to the Austin area 7 years ago. I think we have finally found that in Joe!I called Friday morning and he told he to bring it and he would look at it right away. Since it was a minor fix, he not only looked at it, he also ordered the parts needed and fixed it while I waited. I know he probably can't do it that quickly every time. But I really appreciate him taking care of it. We have found our mechanic!

Once you take your vehicle to Joe, you will be a forever client. He is professional, efficient and affordable. When you deal with him you feel like you are his only client. He worked hard to get my truck back to me as quick as possible with quality repairs done. Go see Joe and you will not be disappointed. Also, another plus is you are supporting a local, family owned business! Go see Joe!!

I cannot say enough good things about Joe. First of all, he's an extremely friendly gentleman. And he went above and beyond for our van as we requested him to do something he'd never done before. And his prices were more than fair. I wish more mechanic shops operated like his, I think we got really lucky. Highly recommended

Joe seems like a great guy and very honest. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. I left my car with him, he did some work, but unfortunately, my car stopped working on my way into Austin two days later. This has never happened to me with any mechanic. If it seems like he is guessing on what could be wrong with your car, don't leave it with him. From what I've heard, everyone else has had a great experience, unfortunately I did not.

We have quite a few older cars in the family and we always bring them to Joe whenever we have a problem and suggest him to anyone. He is trustworthy and honest and that can be hard to find in a mechanic. He knows his stuff and he's always conscious to save you money where he can.

He's very trustworthy. He means what he says. We were going to take our truck to the dealership where they were going to charge us a lot for fixing it but then we were told to try Joe and see what he could do. He fixed it fast and saved us $500 on taking it somewhere else. Recently, he spent hours on our car and kept up with us. He walked us through what he saw and what needed to be done. He's in a small town and you get that small town trust you hear our grandparents talk about. Good guy.

Honesty, Great Work Ethics, Fast and excellent work skills, friendly, and more than reasonably priced. These are things that are rare to find in any business, but JOE THE MECHANIC has all of these and more. I restored antique and classic cars for many years, but age has slowed me down and I feel extremely blessed to have found Joe for not only my old cars but for ALL my vehicles. I will never take my vehicles to anyone else.

His service is Amazing! Joe really does nail down the problem and does it in the most effective and timely manner. He is very considerate, caring, and make sure the job is done properly! And let me add, his Personality is great. I will most definitely return for future auto issues!

Joe saved us $9000 by diagnosing our engine problems. We had taken our Expedition to 2 other mechanics and neither could figure out what was causing it to miss. They both said we needed a new engine. After letting it sit in our driveway for a month we were ready to have it replaced so we took it to Joe and said "fix it if you can or replace the engine". Before the end of the day he called and told us it was fixed and it has run great ever since.He could have charged us for a new engine and we would have paid it.That is Real Honesty and he has made us customers for life.

My wife took a car from a stealership to look over at Joe's. Joe was flexible in his scheduling and did a thorough job of looking over the vehicle finding several potential issues. Additionally, Joe called me back at 8:25 PM on a Friday, well after his business hours were over, to answer questions about the vehicle and I did not feel like he was trying to rush me off of the phone.If I ever need a mechanic in the South Austin area, I'll definitely be looking up Joe.

Joe works on our mobile shaved ice trucks and always does a fantastic job. He s honest and provides fair pricing, a refreshing change from most mechanics. Will be using him exclusively for business and personal vehicles.

We have been going to Joe's sevwral tomes now and have been highly satisfied with his work, his generosity, his workmanship and his availability. We were looking for this mecanic that you can trust for so long and will not overcharge you or over repair your car just for money. We found him! I am grateful for Joe!

Joe is amazing, he is a life saver for me an helped me when other places tried to robb me an he's like a really hot viking type of man , and gorgeous smile im so happy I found his shop, I will definitely be back if I need work done on my car an the eye candy is not bad either, he should definitely do a sexy Christmas calendar id pay extra for that im just inlove with his beard... but seriously Joe thank you, I will be back with a little gift to show my appreciation for you helping me, it really did mean alot.

Quaint. Weird. Joe The Mechanic Gee, can't get any weirder you may say. Wrong. Wait till I tell you Joe The Mechanic is AN HONEST Mechanic. You can trust him with your wife like I did--I meant my wife's car.He delivers an honest, well done work on time and without cutting a limb or two of your humanity. I feel compell to give this guy the best review I ever give to anyone.

This is my personal mechanic for many years. He is honest, thorough, reasonable and has integrity! Where do you find that now adays!!! I have a 24 year old car, and he takes good care of it!!! Go to JOE's
