Nice clean automotive repair shop. Extremely efficient. Left me satisfied. I will be returning for all my cars maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic work. Fast with an Alignment. Good value with free battery and alternator test.

The turn signal had gone out on our car. We went to Gordon's to see if they could assist. They were very friendly and were able to take care of us as we waited. We will definitely use them again it the need arises.

Professional, fantastic service, fair pricing, quick turnaround time! Margaret was wonderful and took very good care of me. I waited while my service was performed on my Jeep. The waiting area is very clean and comfortable. From the waiting area, I could hear conversations between the techs regarding the current auto they were working on and the car's owners. I was so impressed with the level of professionalism, care and concern, each tech had for the car they were working on. They truly take ownership and pride in their work.Gordon Automotive is a gem and will be my only go-to for any car maintenance concerns! A+++

Gordon Automotive actually deserves negative stars! I am fairly certain that the below positive reviews obviously must come from family/friends of the owner/employees. Although, in the past This used to be a very honest & efficient business. That is no longer the case! I have given this place my business for almost 30 years. My V8 350 engine Chevy car was cutting off when I was driving. I took my car in on a Monday and they didn t even contact me until Thursday when they told me to come pick it up. They charged me $156.00 for doing absolutely nothing. They told me the technician drove it for an hour and a half, and could not find the problem. Five minutes after I left Gordon Automotive, my car stopped running. The second I got in my car, I knew no one had driven my car for an hour and a half to check it out, because the gas gauge hadn t moved from the last time I was in the car. You do not drive a car that size for an hour and a half without using some serious gas. Also, the mileage had been noted when the car was towed to Gordon s. There was only a couple more miles on it from when it left my house. The car was not checked out at all. They charged me $156 for doing absolutely nothing and they kept my car for four days.I am embarrassed for Gordon Automotive.Also, what kind of mechanic would drive someone else s car for an hour and a half, to diagnose it? You drive it for a little while, and then you look under the hood and listen to it idle, etc. All you had to do is stand next to the car to tell that it wasn t idling right and that it had a serious problem. Gordon Automotive has a serious problem.I did make it home, but the car died three times on the way home. They stone cold ripped me off.I almost forgot the part about how the technician left his garbage bag in my car. I guess that was the insult added to injury. Professional? Just the opposite.I ended up taking my vehicle to a real mechanic who repaired the problem for just slightly more money than Gordon Automotive stole from me for keeping my car for four days and doing absolutely nothing.

I have used Gordon's for 15 years and with multiple cars. They have even fixed mistakes from other mechanics. I trust them to not upset me and have never been disappointed.

I have been looking for a garage to take my truck to when needed for maintenance and repairs. Gordon Automotive has been around over 50 years. Their customer service is excellent. They were very clear about the costs and options available to me. They have a nice waiting area with coffee too. Maggie runs the place extremely well. Owner Don Jones introduced himself to me as well. We swapped stories about "old Austin" which was fun. They were honest, fast and very competent. They know their business.Service: Oil change

I chose Gordon Automotive because it was recommended by a colleague. My check engine light and transmission light were on and my car was stuttering at random. They charge a $120 diagnostic fee that does not even go towards the cost of parts/labor. A few days and $860 later, after they claimed they replaced a few parts, I picked up my car but it continued to run exactly as it had prior to visiting Gordon. I dropped my car off again the next morning and after several hours I was told to come pick it back up because they drove it around for a few miles (nine to be exact; I checked my odometer) and did not see anything wrong with it. They reset my check engine light and sent me on my way, telling me that they would "leave my ticket open" and to call them if I had any more problems. There was no offer to ride around with me so that I could show them what I was experiencing or anything of the sort. Gordon made me feel mistreated, and as someone living paycheck-to-paycheck, I am very displeased with the amount of money I shelled out to still have a damaged car.

Very happy with the work and help from Gordon Automotive. They were able to replace my drive belt and drive belt tensioner as the tensioner was not securing the belt properly. Will definitely be coming back for any future car issues that might come up!

I had never used Gordon Automotive before but am very glad I did! Very professional and friendly service and they did a great job of keeping me updated as to the status of my repairs. Scheduling additional work to be done next week with them as well. A special shout out goes to Jim Smith at Gordon as he was my main interface. Very professional shop. Jim, mans the front counter and does a great job taking the orders, doing estimates and answering the phone. This is now my go to shop for any repairs on my camper van. They changed my engine oil on my van and my generator and replace my front and rear shocks. This shop is honest and have no complaints. The waiting area has coffee and is clean and comfortable and restroom is spotless. A+++Service: Oil change

I've been using Gordon's for 10 years or so. Look, it's hard to find a mechanic shop that gives the kind of service they do. In the beginning I used to comparison call other places to see what they would charge for what I needed done. Gordon's was always in the same ball park. They have never tried to up sell me on work. They will tell you what your options are before they start repairs. They will give you a heads up on things they notice when doing routine oil change kind of work. They have an old beater car they'll let you use if you have to leave your car overnight and need transportation so you don't miss work. They're just nice people. Honest people who do really good work repairing and maintaining your car. I highly recommend them.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

I have used Gordon s for many years and have always found them to be highly qualified and very honest.They clearly scope and describe necessary repairs. Gordon s clearly states related recommended repairs and give me options. Options are clearly described and I have never felt like I was being upsold.Gordon s is not the cheapest shop in town, but I feel like I have always gotten a fair price and high quality.I frequently recommend Gordon s to friends especially when the car issues are unclear or very serious.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

I really like the services. This time I was a bit upset because when I got my oil change they broke the plug. I understand that they break but why did they let me leave with it broke. My oil leaked out. I wasn't to excited this time . I have to think if I will return. If I hadn't seen the oil leak I would have been driving my vehicle like that. Jim has taken care of my family's vehicles for years and mine since moving to Austin in 2017. Gordon's does great work for a great value. We do not feel presured to buy uneeded services like the dealerships push. I ve been using Gordon s automotive for years now and they always knock it out the park. I always hear back from them within a few hours after dropping of my vehicle and if they can get the part I need that day I get my truck back the same day. Gordon was able to repair my Toyota Avalon ac compressor. I chose Gordon as they were close to where I broke down on my trip between Tyler and San Antonio.
