Had to get a 0.2 mile tow from this company today. It took over 3 hours to get them to where I was (according to the map, they are located less than 15 minutes from where my car broke down) and after the second time I called asking for an eta (they were already 30 minutes after their hour and a half pickup time at this point) They started blocking my calls & sending me straight to voicemail. And I had to go through my insurance to get any responses at all from them. I am actually still waiting for a tow as I write this review. Just insane. So insane it prompted me to write my first Google review ever without a promotion incentive. Thats how bad I want you to know not to trust this service.

Used this towing service following an accident. They took it to the storage facility, but since then they won't answer phone calls, our insurance has reached out to them, and yet no one will answer.I don't know if they just hold on to cars longer than needed in order to extort money from their customer, but it is a really poor business practice to shaft your paying customers, and hold your car hostage with radio silence.

Out of this world service, and competence from the kindest, nicest mechanics you could ever wanna meet. They do great work every time and they do it fast. I drive a 2010 Ford fusion hybrid and don t plan to buy a new car anytime soon. I am so grateful to have found this place for my car repair needs. I was lucky to have AAA recommend Galaxy Automotive when the technician determined my battery was fine, but something else was causing the starting issue. Galaxy found the issue quickly, explained it thoroughly, and fixed it professionally at a very fair price. I recently had an A/C issue and being so impressed with the last experience, decided to go to Galaxy instead of the dealer. Again, what a great experience with the same professionalism, and value. It's obvious that the team cares about their work. Danny is amazing and I'll be a customer for a long time. Excellent service, I got an honest assessment of my car, even though that meant less work for the shop. The work I did receive, both more affordable and finished faster than I could have expected.So yeah, if you like honest, fast, friendly, dependable service look no further.

They did not even look at the problems I mentioned. I told them to look at my parking break and they told me its old could be spare tire making the noise, like I don't know my vehicle. After 8 days they told me my car was too old, though they have done work on it before. They told me there are no parts for the window, but a tow truck driver and myself found a whole page of them first search. I had to remind them to update me, when I did they said what were the problems? They instantly called me back and said they couldn't find it and it's too old which was Clear Bull.

I was in a car accident and insurance wouldn't cover the damages, but Michael from Galaxy Auto really made it all better. Because I'm young and a woman I was worried I'd get overcharged, but Michael treated me and my car with utmost respect. He was very communicative and explained all the work, listened well and did the exact repairs I needed to get my car on the road, nothing more. He even pinned my bumper back as an added bonus. The work was done quickly, and he even got my car inspected to get it ready for Texas registration! I am absolutely ecstatic at the service I received and would 11/10 recommend this place. I went in for an issue with my headlight and the service was superior. Honestly, I was price $300+ dollars to fix a headlight at Midas "because my wiring harness connectors had melted" I came here and the gentleman let me know there was in fact no sign of that and I was good to go. He didn't charge me for his service. So, I at the very least owe it to this great company to give an honest review. Highly recommend.Service: Electrical

Danny, Dean, and the guys at Galaxy absolutely exceeded my (high) expectations. First time here -- to get some brake work done that I didn't want to mess with myself on my beloved 1972 GMC pickup. Being a (female) customer who does most of the work on their own vehicle, requesting a higher level of communication and involvement in the repair process feels like asking a lot when it shouldn't be. The guys at Galaxy not only fulfilled my need to be informed about the work I asked to have done on my truck -- they were respectful, communicative, helpful, thorough, affordable, and fast! The effort they put in to getting the work done, and then some, is seriously commendable. Can't thank and recommend y'all enough. Best experience I've had at a shop, ever! PS, Sorry if she leaked trans fluid all over y'all's shop & thank you Dean for pointing out the source. I'm fixing it this weekend! Service: Brakes

They re an amazing company to go to. They communicate with their customers and always have a friendly customer service. Their response time is Immediate and clear. I ve been to a lot of mechanics but they bar a land slide take home the cake. 100% recommend them. Was shopping around for someone to do my pads and rotors, and these guys came in with the lowest bid. Danny seemed competent and amicable on the phone, so I decided to give these guys a shot, and some business (easy brake labor).These guys did a great job, and both Rick and Danny are really great people to deal with. My only complaint is that I wasn't really given a time frame for the job, it took over 6 hours to get my car back, and I was not called when my car was ready. However, I won't dock a star for any of this because these guys did a solid job at a great price. Would recommend.

Let me start off by saying, I never write reviews. But for this place I had to. Car issues are stressful for everyone and when my car wouldn't start I knew exactly what the problem was and I called up Galaxy and let them know I was going to have my car towed over, and they promptly asked me some questions so that when I came in they could know what to expect. They literally replaced my bad starter within 2 hours and got me a better quality one than the last mechanic I went to. The level of care and respect they have for their customers is unmatched and I will certainly be going back for my future car needs.

I can recommend these guys. Been using them for over five years. I fancy myself an old car guy, and drive 10 year old cars. I have plenty of repairs, but they are always quick to repair that for which I bring it in, and occasionally will look at other items to offer additional services, but never push those on me.

I don't have any complaints - they were great! They were a AAA recommended mechanic, and AAA was having a special - $34.99 for preventative maintenance which included an oil change, tire rotation, and 40-point inspection. I let them know a few concerns I had, and at the end I still only owed $35 plus tax. They didn't try to over-sell me, they said my car was working great - which was surprising because it has 138,000 miles!Also - I came early to get it done before work, and they said it would be a couple of hours, so one of the gentlemen drove me to work! I luckily got a ride back, but they offered to pick me up at the end of day as well!Service was great, car is running great. I'll definitely trust these folks with my vehicle again. THANK YOU

This is a great shop that is AAA approved. The serpentine belt on my van went out and Danny had a new one on within an hour. I could tell they are pros so I asked for the free AAA 40 point inspection. They found a few issues that I was already vaguely aware of and provided quotes for each that were more than fair. Upper and lower ball joints on one side, front brakes and shocks. I went with the recommendations Danny provided as I could tell he's got a lot of experience and is a master of his craft. This was a lot of work that took a bit longer but that was expected. I however was surprised again by how quick they got it completed. I'm back on the road and my van handling great now.

I love Galaxy Automotive and have come to them with all of my car needs since 2012. They are kind and fair and always take the time to fully explain whatever work needs to be done with my car. I've literally called them from the side of the road before as I'm having a breakdown and they've helped me figure out what do. They've helped me out so much and are the best in Austin in my opinion.

I took my 2007 delivery van, nearly 250,000 miles in because the air conditioning was not working. I was sure the compressor was shot. They were able to quickly diagnose that it was low on freon. They filled it up and added due since they could not find a leak and I was back in business. It only cost $88. It was done quickly. I highly recommend them for not only their good work but their honesty.

I was referred here by the AAA serviceman when my car needed towing. I had quite a few issues wrong with my car but the shop was great and saved me quite a bit of money on parts. Manny, was great at breaking down the prices of everything for me and even when the repairs took longer than expected they didn't charge me extra and kept to their word about the price. They also even washed my car off for me. Great experience and will be going back to them for further repairs!

By far the BEST experience I have ever had. Danny and Rick were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and HONEST! I brought my car in thinking it was an electrical system issue...turns out ot was just a blown fuse. They could've EASILY charged me hundreds of dollars for repairs, but they didn't. They went above and beyond with their service. I'm never taking my car anywhere else!!

Had my car towed here when ball joint broke, left it overnight.Basically, the customer service was great. The dude who I talked to and who answered the phone, a young guy, was very friendly, on top of it, and not fake or sketchy like a lot of mechanic places. My car couldn't be driven, so they ended up calling AAA and had it towed 50 ft into their shop.I was a little aggressive when talking (I tend to be pretty skeptical of mechanics) but they never got defensive or condescending or whatever. Just professional and nice.I've driven on it a few a weeks and the work is solid, no problems, car feels a hundred times better than before the break.The price was about what you expect, very reasonable, didn't feel overpriced at all.Anyways, that's it. I was surprised, seems like a fairly solid place.

Best service I ve ever received from an auto shop! Danny was beyond helpful and I couldn t be more appreciative! I work very near the shop and when I arrived to work today one of my tires was completely flat. I called and spoke with Danny who offered to walk over and take a look to see the tire... it wasn t able to be patched so he took my truck back and offered to put the spare on for me and bring it back until I decided if I would replace the tire/tires etc.Later in the day I ended up deciding to replace two tires and they were nice enough to complete everything by the end of close today and then they drove my truck back to me! Such great service and I won t be going anywhere else for future car services, etc!

This is a GREAT shop! I was here from out of state and they treated me fairly and got the work done quickly and right. No extra charges or add ons. The bills for both jobs I had done were exactly as quoted.

I was there through a AAA referral, which also lists this facility as providing free coffee to it's customers. There is no free coffee. I called the day before the visit. I was told by the shop Foreman that no appointment is required but just bring vehicle in at 9 am best time. I arrived on time recommended, there were no customers present at facility at that time. Foreman told me they are short handed an told me to leave vehicle and he will call me, so I had to ask, and they provided shuttle home. Six hours later, at 3:20 pm, no call from facility. I called for status. Foreman told me that he had not gotten to my vehicle, but that he checked but could not find parts anywhere, that there will be a week to two weeks for bushing kit part for my vehicle. I returned to pick up vehicle. Foreman was reluctant to give up my vehicle, then was firm on charging me $48 dollars for a "diagnostic fee". The diagnosis was what I had told him and pointed out to him what was wrong with my vehicle when I brought it in. Also, the garage was full of customers getting their cars serviced, so there to pick up their repaired cars. I never even got a courtesy noontime call, nothing, to tell me about parts difficult, nothing about them getting to my car, nothing. It was as though they just was going to keep it until the parts arrive?? I do NOT recommend this triple-A recommended facility for vehicle repair, because somehow they targeted me to provide bad service to, and then to charge me $48 for that bad service... I came away with NOTHING...

Just got a quick oil change here. The guys took care of me promptly and even gave me some good input in other areas of car maintenance. Also took my car here about a month ago for a new alternator for my Nissan Altima. Price was fair and have had no problems since. Frank and Dean were both great!
