I know car problems can be pretty polarizing depending on the result/ news given by the mechanic. With that said, I believe the 3.6 stars does not accurately represent the great service provided upon arrival at this Firestone location. The staff were all very friendly and slotted my truck into their busy schedule. The fix has, so far, provided me with a truck that feels brand new. If any thing were to happen in the future I have no doubts that I could confidently drop my truck off knowing this group will do the best they can to get me up and running.

They missed a huge, obvious issue with my car, and it left me stranded out of state for 6 weeks with a $15,000 repair bill.I took my 2017 F-150 Raptor in for a full inspection on Monday, Oct 9. I wanted a thorough inspection before driving to Colorado and back, and was concerned about a squeaking noise I heard on the truck.I was told that the vehicle had no concerns whatsoever, and not even any regular maintenance was being recommended at the time. I was told that the squeaking noise was just a plate that got bent and was rubbing, but it was nothing to worry about and no action was required.During the drive to Colorado that I was preparing for, the truck broke down and I had it towed to a Ford dealership. The dealership immediately found that the squeaking noose is not a bent plate on the truck, but that an object had impacted the underside armor on the truck to such an extent that it punctured the vehicle, scraped yellow paint all over the underside of the vehicle, and caused a series of issues starting with the transmission needing to be replaced. They viewed the vehicle s code history and saw that the error codes had been on since the squeaking started and were definitely on on Oct 9 when I had the truck inspected. There was a string of other issues beyond the transmission that driving the truck in its condition caused. Ford told me that if the truck had been repaired before being driven so much in that state, it could have been a far less extensive repair and wouldn t have left me stranded and out of state in the middle of the night. The repairs took 6 weeks and cost almost $15,000 not including the cost of having to fly back home to Texas, rent a car for 6 weeks, fly back to Colorado, and drive the truck back, plus the days off work during that time.I sent this note to Firestone just to let them know this had occurred, and received no response from them whatsoever. So also don t trust their guarantees.

Ive been coming to this Firestone for the past 6 months and everyone from the front desk staff, to the auto techs, to the manager are nothing but absolutely amazing. They care about every customer that walks through their door and makes sure to give each customer the best service they know how to do. They take time to address every question or concern from me and I always leave feeling taken care of. As a female, I've never felt taken advantage of by the staff and that is a big thumbs up.

Anytime I have trouble with my car Firestone is the only one I trust with my car. They are honest and even tell you if you need anything else done with your vehicle. Because I'm a female other auto shops will take advantage since most females are savvy with repairs. The lady in the front is very helpful.Update: 12/01/23 One of the guys promised to call me when they were finished with the car. They didn't call back. I was left without a car for 2 days because I left it with them to finish it the next day. I had things to do and I only had 2 days off. I ended up getting it after 3 pm. There's not much daylight left to shop. My eyesight isn't the best at night.I left it at 4 stars because I was pleased with the work done on my car.

I brought my car in to get an alignment. After it was finished I was told the rear tires couldn t be aligned due to the manufacturer not having any specs for them. I asked if there was a solution and was told it could be aligned but would need shims. I was told that Firestone could do this but he would have to give me another quote. I am okay with paying for the shims. My problem is Firestone could have called me when my car was being aligned and presented this to me and asked me if I wanted to have this done. Not wait until I got there and give me a separate quote for another day. Now I am driving a vehicle that is not fully aligned. I would expect to be contacted if a problem presented itself that could be fixed.

I actually went to wrong location, my appt was at another site wherein they'd told me I'd be there for about 4 hours+...? When "Kayko" found my reservation and saw my screenshot, he let me go ahead and get the work done at the SouthPark Meadows site. "Andrew" took care of the actual mechanical work and they even ensured that my tire levels were reading correctly on the computer/dx screen etc. I was done and out of there in less than 30 minutes. KUDOS y'all. I was blown away. I mentioned to Kayko when I get new tires I was thinking about Michelins, but now I will shop something by Firestone or Bridgestone, assured. Excellent customer service everyone...I've been trying to get tires rotated for 3 years and just dreading having to sit for 4 hours like I was always being told. I even took my bike & clothes w/plans to just train while I would wait. Didn't need to do that after all. Very happy customer. David S..

I have brought my cars into this shop for over 15 years. They always give the very best service you could asks for. I trust their advice about what the car needs and they always explain what I need to do now, and what I will need to budget for in the next quarter. I recommend this shop all the time.

The entire staff was amazing unlike the Hancock location that took 2 hours to just tell me the alignment couldn't be completed because of a lift and 22" rims which I doubted there expertise and management which the staff just turned customer away after customer while I was in the lobby. The phones rang and rang with no customer service! But the Southpark meadows location was very attentive and even completed the alignment on the same truck. They were awesome and am glad I gave you a second chance. The managers listened to my anger and fixed the issue. They offered extra services but unfortunately I put so much money into getting the truck up to its current status that the extra services will have to wait! Great team!

Too bad you can't post negative stars, this would be in the DOUBLE DIGITS. I have never been treated so badly by a company or person in my entire life as a consumer. My wife booked an appt. for 7AM at the Southpark Meadows location to work on a couple of minor issues we found after we bought a used car from Carvana (I know...) We bought the additional warranty exactly for that reason. Apparently, Firestones are the only approved car repair in Austin. I followed her there to give her a ride back home. We stood there in the cold until someone finally showed up to open the store at 7:05, then he made us wait outside until he did a few things. If this guy is the manager, being late, then making us wait outside in the cold is something Firestone didn't teach him as good customer service, or good manners. He finally turned on the OPEN sign, to which he said we could come in. It's 7:10 am at this point. He didn't say anything, not even a 'good morning, how can I help you.' My wife let him know we had an appointment, gave him our name, and said it was warranty work through Carvana. He immediately became defensive and said he called her and left several messages, as well as sent her emails that "Firestone does not do warranty work on BMWs. You have to take it to the dealer." We explained again that it was a purchase through Carvana and Firestone is the authorized repair vendor. He just kept repeating about the calls and emails, started getting even more defensive, and then got BELLIGERENT. Going so far as to even gesturing his hands like you would when you would "shoo" an animal away.We said okay and started to walk out, and I stopped and turned around and asked for his name, to which he responded, "I don't have to tell you my name." We both stood there STUNNED. I asked again for his name, he said "I don't have to tell you my name", and started backing away from the counter as if he was going to come around. Then he shooed us again and said "go--leave". I felt as though he was going to become physical. So, we WILL be calling Firestone HQ this morning, as well as Carvana. If anyone knows who this guy is - dark hair, dark skin, brown eyes, ponytail, about 5'11", had an accent I couldn't discern -- please let me know.

Good Customer Service with quality & efficient work & open honesty about repairs needed. I noticed a collective team effort even with new faces that staff is prepared for any unexpected personal ER occurs with a staff member that someone is prepared with expertise to pick up the slack which is always a plus within any type of workplace environment.

Went to get my brake fluid changed, and they made my vehicle worse. My brakes were a bit squishy, and all I needed was a brake fluid change. The first thing they did is charge me $150, but only $20 of it was the actual brake fluid. The second thing is that the technician came in and said the brakes are working worse than they did previously before they changed the fluid. This place is terrible, do not come here.

My experience at this Firestone has been nothing but great, I took my vehicle in for an alignment and oil change and was educated on the process and fair pricing. On Monday my husband had issues with his vehicle and Firestone came to mind after we had a bad experience at another dealership. And they would not see our vehicle until 7 days Firestone was so helpful and they advised we don't have time today which we understood because it was 5:15 pm but we will take a look in the morning. Sure enough got a call around 12:15pm the next day and found the issue and had our vehicle by 5:00pm. We will definitely be using Firestone the next our vehicles need service. Thank you for everythingServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Battery

Took my vehicle here for a front end inspection and alignment. Was treated with respect while still being educated on the finer details of aspects I didn't fully understand.I also just got a good feeling from the team. They work well together and put off a calming, get-things-done vibe even when it's packed and crazy.

While installing tires, they scrapped up my brand new wheels. Also promised to be finished at 4, came after 4 to find they had just started working on my car, promised me they'd be finished by 6, came after 6 and still had to wait about 25 minutes. Tried to overcharge me as well. Nothing about this experience was pleasant or professional.

Alright here we go. Derek is the man. I keep coming back to this Firestone because of him and his attention to detail. This is the shop I trust with not only my cars, but my friends cars for alignment. Car feels great and pulls straight. I ll keep coming back, the entire shop and its staff is fantastic, but I wanted to call him out for continuing to take care of our cars.

These guys are not mechanics more like technicians. They replaced my alternator with the wrong one so when I drove it to work it was pulling power from my battery at the end of the day my battery was dead so I took it back and they said" yeah we messed up and put the wrong alternator in. 4 days later now they are saying it's not the alternator and they are not liable for burning out my battery... I'm having a mechanic check there work so I can put in a counter claim with the court

This place is absolutely useless. No wonder it has bad reviews. I left my vehicle overnight (with an appointment at 7am the next day) to pick it up at noon the next day and when I showed up to pick it up at noon, my car was still parked where I had left it. They didn't bother to get to it.Thank you for wasting my time and money.

THREE STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT!I made an appointment online for an oil change and I received an email that said: "Your appointment request has been received, details: thank you for your request, your service is for: AUGUST 15, 07:00 A.M." Then it says "Important message, if your appointment date becomes unavailable, we will contact you to discuss rescheduling."Their email was sent Tue, Aug 15 at 9:12 AM., over 2 hours after the appointment! Third time this has happened! I got there at 6:55 am and I was told I had no scheduled appointment. I told them I made it online and was told making the appointment online does not guarantee a spot. This completely incompetent system causes unnecessary conflict between customers and employees. I will never come here again.

Caught a flat and had no choice but to go to Firestone for a replacement. Replaced all 4 tires and when they returned the car there were significant scratches in my paint and my wheels were all chipped. Raised a case with corporate after an employee mentioned they d contact me later. Corporate denied the claim. Lesson learned that I should have just had the car towed to a reputable shop.

Took my jeep here to get an inspection, they said it wouldn t pass because my catalytic converter was out. They replaced my catalytic converter once, i drove it off the lot and my car sounded worse than it did before i took it in. Took it back to them, they fixed the problem. Same noises were occurring. Took it back AGAIN for them to replace the part again and drove it off the lot. SAME PROBLEM. Took it back again, and they said they aren t really experienced in exhaust work . Couldn t they have been honest from the get go about that? Instead of wasting my time and MONEY. Took it to get inspected at their shop a final time and they couldn t pass it because the catalytic converter was leaking. These people are a joke. Save your time and money and do not go to any Firestone in Austin. You will always leave angry and unsatisfied unless they re probably changing your windshield wipers (which any moron can do). -5 stars.Service: Exhaust

The Store Manager, Kaylo Kharvarian, took care of us when we had a car problem on the road. We managed to tear a plastic shield on the underside of the car, driving through a low water crossing on the way back from New Braunfels to our home north of Austin. We stopped at the Southpark Meadows Firestone around 2pm on a Friday. As we pulled in, we could see that almost every bay was filled, and when we went in, the manager confirmed they had no appointments available. However, he immediately offered to come look at our car and see if there was anything they could do. Long story short, he looked under the car and offered to remove the cover so it would not drag on the street anymore. He got a wrench and removed the bolts himself, and sent us on our way. This place clearly puts the customer first, even for out of towners. I highly recommend taking your vehicle there to be treated right.

Worst place to make a appointment at i made a appointment online and not once but Twice I arrived at location for my appointment and was told they couldn t get to me today due to short staff and I had appointments scheduled I say it s a bunch of bull I asked him why didn t they call to advise the customer since I drove from north and he replied don t no time we stay busy so never again Firestone for any needs they make their customers wait way to long and on top of it they cancel your appointment without advising you ! 12/4/23

Avoid this place unless you want to pay $6,000 for an oil change!!!Brought my car for an oil change and the next day my car overheated and needed to be towed. Firestone informed me that the damage was more than they could handle and told me to go home. Luckily, I live within walking distance. After inspection from 5 different mechanics it appears that technician broke my coolant line when changing the oil filter (common if not familiar with type of vehicle). Unbeknownst to me, instead of informing me of the damage the technician filled the hose with some sort of stop-leak that clogged the lines; therefore, blowing the thermostat and damaging the gaskets.
