Top tier customer service. They went out of their way to repair my vehicle ASAP and made sure i would get it back when i really needed it. I would use them again, even if i lived 50 miles away. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Mike.

I ve taken my car to Excalibur twice- both different vehicles and both great experiences. First time was last year after pep boys tried to take advantage of me being a girl and told me my alternator was perfectly fine and I had a battery issue (my car died going 70 mph on the highway, sure). The team at Excalibur was so kind and apologetic that I had gone through that experience. A few weeks ago I had it towed to Excalibur and when I called to confirm beforehand they misheard my model year, and once it got there they realized it was a year they don t work on (I got a new one). Because it was simply a tire change they honored their mistake (don t expect them to do this for major work) and gave my car a once over as well. Every communication I have with them is so pleasant and I was almost late to work after picking up my car because I was having such a great conversation with Mike about Miata s. Even though I can t get my car serviced here, I highly recommend Excalibur for anyone looking for a mechanic, they are absolutely awesome!

I have a mechanical & electrical back ground thru the military & college, plus working on motors/engines and electronics since my teens. I have done all my auto repairs myself.Just recently I had an issue with my vehicle dealing with a Check Engine light. After reading the code it showed the EGR valve needed to be replaced. My vehicle was running fine at the time, just that damn check engine light.Easy enough, acquired new EGR valve, replaced and done! While doing the repair I noticed on the electrical connector to the Throttle Position Sensor, all of the wires were bare and could be making contact, acquired replacement Pig Tail and changed it. Doing so it only made my problem worse. The engine would start, but ran so ruff, and would only idle with no acceleration. An issue I have never run across before.After countless hours of scouring the web, making calls to my auto mechanic friends to figure this issue out, no solution found.Had my vehicle towed to a shop I know, but the guys there told me this was an issue above and out of their skillset. Said it was electrical and possibly needed to replace the PCM.Being in Austin for over 25 years I have been to a few different shops for different reasons and have not found one I trust.Searching the web, I found Excalibur Automotive Repair and chose them based on reviews. I spoke to Mike on the phone advised him what I had done, and how the vehicle was acting. He said get it to the shop and I ll get my guys to check it out. So, after like the third towing job, I got my vehicle over to Excalibur and handed Mike my keys. Expecting an expensive repair estimate involving the replacement of my PCM.To my surprise Mike called me the next day to inform me my vehicle was done and running fine. The cost was under $200. Mike s guys double checked all my work and found I had switched two wires to the TPS. In my defense all of the wires were NOT color coded on that new pig tail. Awesome trouble shooting.So now, I have found a very trust worthy and awesome auto mechanic shop here in Austin.Mike, I wish I would have known about your shop years ago. You guys ROCK! Keep up the excellent service.

I was traveling thru Austin on my way back to Nebraska 3 days before Christmas when my car broke down. My first call was to the guys at Excalibur auto repair, just at random. Told them my alternator went out in my car and that I'm trying to get home Christmas. I asked If they could get me and on the road the same day. They get it here and we'll get it done, so I did.These are awesome, they had me on the road in 2hrs. and most of the price of repair was great. If your ever traveling thru Austin, TX or if you live the I would 100% pick the guys at Excalibur. Thanks guys, I made home in time for Christmas

I wouldn t recommend their services for any more than an oil change or an inspection. I took my vehicle to them to fix a wheel bearing and some how they managed to ruin my strut. When I questioned them about it they deflected responsibility and said the problem is my strut was bad. Just a coincidence, right? I doubt it. I ve worked on my own car for most of my life so I know when people blowing smoke up my.

I highly recommend Excalibur Automotive Repair ! I was referred by my good buddy Adam Rodriguez and let me say I was very impressed ! Michael was very professional in helping us figure out the problem and finding a solution. I tried to do the job myself and stripped the hub nut trying to replace the wheel bearing. Michael and his team replaced the hub assembly and properly rethreaded the hub nut. Also they found the gas smell in my car and helped me find a new fuel tank at a reasonable price. It's been well over a month since the job was done and I have no issues with the fix ! These guys are the real deal and I see why they guarantee their work ! I won't go anywhere else. Shop with Excalibur and I promise you won't be disappointed ! Thanks Guys !

Read the great reviews on Google and took my 2008 Trailblazer for oil and filter change. Great price. Great service. Knowledgeable staff. Helped diagnose a minor issue with noise that no one else has been able too. I will definitely go back!

We've been taking our cars to Excalibur for 30 years now and have never been disappointed. The crew there is honest and will give you excellent advice. They will immediately fix anything that might go wrong with their work (it rarely happens, but when it does they own up to it and make it right ASAP). Having a solid car mechanic in your corner is unbeatable!

Did a quick oil change and some standard routine maintenance. Guys at front were real nice and bathroom was clean (which I ve never seen at a shop!) They brought some things to my attention that I know will need in the future but I wasn t ready at the time and it was really nice that I wasn t pressured either. They mentioned there was a 3yr warranty so when I m ready they will see me again.Services: Auto battery replacement, Oil change

Most people dread taking their car to the mechanic, and for good reason. Certainly not the case with Excalibur. They are professional, courteous, and do good work. Most importantly, they are HONEST! I recommend them strongly and without reservation given the phenomenal work they did on my son's Jetta, which needed a complete clutch replacement. Two thumbs up!

I have used this shop close to a dozen times for my toyota 4runner. They have done a battery replacement, transfer case and differential fluid changes, oil/filter changes, and other services I am sure I am forgetting. This shop always does a great job and charges a fair price. I will continue to use them for any future services I require.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery

I called Excalibur Auto in a panic after getting in to an accident the same week I moved to Texas. After calling around a few places, Mike answered the phone and thank goodness he did. I needed direction and someone to help me, and while my car never actually got serviced at Excalibur, Mike continued to be incredibly kind and helpful while I dealt with my unfortunate situation. I can t say enough good things about Mike at Excalibur. Thank you again!!

Review for 6/5/19 service:This was my 2nd time at Excalibur. Excellent service all around! I called and asked if I should schedule oil change. Was told yes and they had an opening that same morning. Took my car in, got oil changed, and was out the door all within about 30 minutes. Everyone was very polite and professional.Review for first service a few months ago:Great service and quick turnaround! After having really bad experiences at two other automotive shops in Austin, I wasn't sure I could trust any other mechanic. But I trusted a friend's recommendation and brought my car to Excalibur. After clearing up a little initial confusion due to miscommunication, I was able to drop my car off that morning and picked it up that afternoon with a nice cool, working AC. And they didn't try to pressure me into any other or unnecessary repairs. Also, when I picked up my car, I met the owner who provided a free oil change card because they'd forgotten to put the glove compartment back. Anyway, it looks like I've found my new trusty automotive shop. Thank you

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation Jan. 2, 2023. Asked them to adjust tire pressure as tires were low. As I was driving out of parking lot after service Psi of tires was 43-45 when should have been set to 35. Had to go to Discount Tire to get them to adjust pressure for free. Not that hard guys! Did not reset oil life nor did they reset tire pressure sensors after tire rotation as I found out weeks later when I got a flat and sensor was indicating the wrong tire! NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL! Not what you want from someone you re trusting to maintain your vehicle.Services: Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Best experience with any mechanic or shop I ve ever had. Mike was super friendly, direct about the issues with my vehicle, and super reachable/responsive/proactive about calling and keeping me updated.He was also very detailed about the work, what I should do now, what can wait based on my budget, and even gave me projects and recommendations I could do myself cosmetically one my vehicle and where to find the parts.We did a set of tires, brakes, AC/heater which was not working at all, and some other things. Never been happier

This shop and the people working there are excellent. Ive used them three times now and they are happy to explain exactly what s going on with my car and what they need to do to fix it which gives me peace of mind that I m not being taken advantage of. They ve also had a quick turn around each time, including working with me to ensure my jeep was ready for a long road trip before I had to leave. If you're like me, once you find a good mechanic you will follow them to end of the earth and back. I've used Mike Lilley to repair every single vehicle I have ever owned. I love that he has found such a great shop to be at and continue to grow with. He has always been very upfront about all my car needs. This shop is amazing!

I have been in Austin for nearly 15 years and during that time, I have been to many auto repair places and mechanics. I've been coming to Excalibur for about the past year and no longer need to shop around. The work I've had done on my car is always excellent and done quickly. Most importantly, the staff is honest and fair. I like that they pride themselves on being honest. At Excalibur, they've never tried to trick me into extra services or pressure me to buy something I didn't need. They seem to genuinely treat people the way they would want to be treated, and for that, they have earned my trust and business for years to come.

They are always super nice, patient and reliably honest. And they like my dog! I recently went there to get a 2nd opinion. They were upfront and honest regarding whether or not I needed the work advised at the dealership (I didn't) and then advised me on what maintenance I needed when and why. Came here after my truck AC had gone out. I scheduled an appointment after hours, first thing the next morning got an email confirmation for my appointment. Came in, got it checked out, they gave me the run down and how much it would cost and what my options were. They were able to get a new part and replace it within a couple hours and it didn t cost me a whole arm and a leg like some other auto shops will charge.. While I stayed inside for the time being, I couldn t help but notice how awesome they were to all the customers after me- they kept the same energy to everyone (: 10/10 will be coming back to these guysService: A/C installation & repair

This place is great, they take the time to explain everything, even showing me what is wrong on my car so that I could understand. Mike and the guy are Awesome. I always leave feeling like I just visited my neighborhood mechanic not some corporate soulless chain that is just trying to fleece me for every last dollar.
