For a Tire and Auto shop, they are highly incompetent at what they do. My wheels were taken there to get tire swapped and when I got it back they were scraped and all 4 sides. At first I understand if mistakes happen but these guys tried to deny any claims that it was their fault and wouldn t own up to their mistakes.They made it extremely difficult to find a resolution for their mistake.Wasted my own time going to many places for quotes and apparently most of the quotes were too high for what they wanted to pay. At the end of the day, we settled on a much lower quote and I did have to pay out of pocket for the rest to finally get them refinished.I d trust Discount Tire more than I would with this place, at least they would own up and make it right completely.

Awesome team here at Don Rucker! New to the area and I used them for a couple of inspections.Last week I needed a full set of tires mounted and balanced on my 370z and also had 2 leaking tires on my QX60. All turned around in a couple of hours!

My personal experience with Don Ruckers shop on 3 separate occasions have been nothing but great. Their labor rate is competitive, they do great work, and I can tell they have invested in keeping talent within their company. The employees have all been very kind to me and other folks I ve seen. Their desk representative Jake is a very cool dude, and Don is often at the shop and is always great to see. I personally recommend Don Rucker to folks, friends and family! For a shop, they do true and honest work. Hard to find in Austin!

So far, I m pretty happy with these guys. My truck is a fairly rare import, and while they are not completely experienced to work on this vehicle, the young mechanic that worked on my truck was very well versed in the older style components in my vehicle. They pointed out things they are able to work on and things they cannot. They also referred me to other shops that can work on some of the specific issues that I need to address. Parts for my vehicle are hard to source, so they re working with me to make sure I source the right parts and are willing to make sure they re installed to their high standards. Will update / add to this review as the work is completed.

I can't speak highly enough about the fantastic work done by this company. They completely transformed my Tundra with a leveling kit, bigger tires, Method rims, and Amp Research power running boards.Their pricing is incredibly competitive, and the quality of their work is top-notch. The staff is not only friendly but also highly knowledgeable.I can confidently say that this company has become my go-to for all things related to my Tundra. If you're looking for expert work, great prices, and a friendly team, this is the place to go.

I recently visited Don Rucker Tire & Auto, and I couldn't have been more impressed! Jake went above and beyond to keep me updated throughout the entire repair process of my vehicle which made me feel at ease, knowing that my car was in capable hands. He took the time to patiently explain the repairs needed, without overwhelming me with technical jargon, which I greatly appreciated.The turnaround time was incredible, with my car ready in a speedy three days (which included other routine maintenance services by the way).I'm grateful I didn't take my car to the dealership, as it would have undoubtedly taken much longer. A heartfelt thank you to Jake and the entire team at Don Rucker for their professionalism, efficiency, and top-notch service.10/10 recommend. I'll definitely be back!

These guys were awesome. Getting close to closing time and we rolled in with a leak. They dropped what they were doing and got us fixed in a few minutes. Great job guys.

I had two tires replaced and found their service to be terrific and their prices very fair. They seem to be trustworthy and didn't try any high pressure sales tactics. Update: just got service for a slow leak tire. Couldn't be happier with the service and price. Solid, trustworthy people work here.

I rode into Don Rucker s listening to Florida Georgia Line, with a stock F-150 feeling pretty down on myself. Just felt my life was missing something. So Jake prescribed me a 2 inch leveling kit and some TOYO Open Countries. When I left I was listening to George Strait and I ve never felt better. Plus, when I got home my wife was listening to Shania Twain and cooking dinner. These guys are amazing. Life changing.But seriously, great shop, great honest guys. Jake is my guy. Go see them!

I took my truck in for a brake job. After they worked on it, the brakes started squealing very loudly. They said they must've gotten bad pads and they would need a few hundred dollars more for better quality brake pads. They said that because of Covid, the quality of the brake pads had gone down. This never made sense to me since I didn't hear other cars out on the road with squealing brakes. Seems like they would be everywhere if that were the case. I was desperate to take care of this very annoying issue, though, so I paid them an extra $325 to install the new "higher quality" pads and the brakes still squealed like crazy. They ultimately told me that there was nothing they could do about it and left me with horrible squealing brakes.

I needed an alignment on my 2006 Sequoia after I put new upper control arms and additional lift. Called a few shops and they couldn t work with me but referee me to Don R.. They said no problem we can take care of it, dropped it off and it was done in a day. They did a great job and my lifted Sequoia drives great now.Service: Wheel alignmentService: Wheel alignment

As one who also works in the auto industry I am very well versed in the subject of service center customer relations and pricing of services. Last week, I ran over a piece of metal in the road on the way to work and had to make an emergency stop as they happened to be right around the bend from where it happened. I can honestly say I felt so relieved to see them. My air pressure went from 32 psi to flat in probably less than 2 minutes! I limped in and they had my car pulled and being serviced in less than 10 minutes. Amazing! And they swapped me out with a used tire they had in their take offs pile and I was back on the road in no time at a surprisingly lose cost. Great team, very polite and excellent service. Thanks team @ Don Rucker. You rock!

I had a tire blow out on my trailer. Luckily I was a block away from this shop. Drove right in and was taken care of right away. 15 minutes and I was on my way with a fresh tire! Very friendly customer service from everyone at that shop. They also have some really nice wheels in their show room floor. Thanks!

Amazing service. We were in a tough situation, my son's brake light needed to be replaced in 2 hours because he had to go to work. They managed to get the part and install it in that time frame! Easy, friendly, trustworthy.

Worst place if you have an older vehicle. Apparently, my brakes were so bad I needed new rotors and calibers. After they installed them, my brakes would not stop locking up as I drove. I brought it back multiple times and they said nothing was wrong. Fast forward a few months later my brakes go completely out. My brake light and abs light come on as I m trying to stop at a red light. Didn t make it, but I was able to avoid the accident and get to the new mechanic while driving 20mph down 620. They notified me that whoever (don ruckers) did the brakes, rotors, and calibers before didnt do them correctly(which caused further damage).

I absolutely love the services at Don Ruckers! They service all of our company vehicles and I also used them to trick out my 2017 GMC Yukon Denali XL. They installed a new exhaust, new cold air intake, and new rims and tires! It looks amazing! These guys may just be the last 100% honest mechanic left in Austin. Excellent and friendly service. I went in to get a leaking tire fixed and ended up with that and a tire rotation for much less than I expected and in less than 30 minutes. Great place!

Absolutely the most polite, professional, and friendliest staff ever. Hands down, my go to place for my truck. Always have me in and out in a few hours; if that. Extremely accommodating and fairly priced. Mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and personable. No bs, no smoke and mirrors!

Solid auto shop with a pretty friendly staff. Dropped my car off because it needed a new alternator and had my car back only a few hours later. They didn't spare details about my car, which was good and bad. Good because they were honest about other issues my car was and will later be experiencing without trying to up-sell me additional services, bad because, well, my car has so many issues. I don't frequently visit Lakeway anymore but when I was down there on work I made sure to get the car to them as soon as I started having issues. Will definitely be going there if I ever have more problems and am in the area.

It's rare to find a shop that can competently work on your high end luxury car, your old jeep, your truck, your classic mustang, your custom hot rod, AND your mom's new Mercedes. Don Rucker has done it all for me and done it well. I am extremely happy with their services and hope it continues for years to come!

After a year, and a few experiences later, the guys at Don Rucker continue to provide excellent service. Two separate vehicles: new tires for one, new shocks/struts and drive shaft for another. Their prices are fair and the work is solid. Bonus is, they know their workload and if you plan ahead, they will have your vehicle done when they say it'll be done. Support local when you can and when it makes sense, as it does here. Thanks, Rucker.

Was sold a new tire for $239.50 because they said my tire with a small screw in it couldn't be fixed. My car is a little over a year old. I took the tire with the screw to the Toyota dealer and he told me that it was a perfectly good tire and could have been easily plugged! I'm out $239.50 for no good reason! On the plus side, the service was good!
