My 2015 Audi A6 Prestige was injured on the driver side. I was unable to open the door. Some Audi recommended body shops that I called had a 2 to 3 months wait-list. I could not climb over the console from the passenger seat for that long.I started visiting a few shops that I could get me in earlier. After a few I decided to bring my car to Discount Body Shop. Not for the discount (which was applied to my deductible) but because of the professional manner from the moment I arrived. The owner David greeted me and along with London went over all details of the repairs.I made an appointment to bring my car in the following week.The day of my appointment I had a flat tire and put the donut spare on to drive to the shop. I had not realized but London called and told me the donut spare had shredded on my drive there. The shop went out of their way to purchase a used tire (at no additional charge) for my car so I would be able to drive it after the repairs. That's great customer service!London negotiated and renegotiated with my insurance company for every detail. There were a few minor items that needed attention which were taken care of by the shop.My car looks great! The customer service is outstanding! Everyone from the office staff, London and Candy, to the auto body technicians brought my vehicle back to life. Thanks!

Amazing customer service and work!! The only place I would trust to bring your super car for body work! They are true artists! The owner David is very passionate about cars and they go above and beyond for their customers! Highly recommend!!

On October 24 I got an email saying that the part they were waiting on had come in, to drop the vehicle off on October 30, and the it would be ready in eight days at the latest. After more than a dozen phone calls from both me and my insurance company, I went up Thanksgiving week to get something I'd left in the vehicle and it hadn't even been touched. It was only after threatening to take my business elsewhere that they finally decided to do the work. That's almost a month I could have been using my vehicle while they were holding onto it for absolutely no reason.Lest you think I was offered *any* kind of compensation for my inconvenience -- a discount,, or even a ride to come pick up the vehicle, think again. They get Two stars because the quality of the work was excellent, but I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience.EDIT: I did say something. With the increasingly irritable tone of my frequent phone calls and voice messages. And I did ask. Maybe I didn't ask for a ride, I asked if you would deliver the car to me, to which I was told, "No, we don't offer that service." One would think, if you offered a pick-up service you would have done so in that moment. Or, you know, mentioned it at literally any other time in the process.

From the front desk, to the mechanic that worked on my vehicle, to the car detailing, I would 100% recommend getting your repairs made at this body shop. Thank you to the entire team for getting my car back on the road quickly and on budget!

Shopping around service and price, David and his team have always came out ahead. Fast and and great communication. I wouldn t trust my import with anyone else in town. Discounting my deductible was icing on the cake. As a local business owner it feels good to give back to Austin business.

On a rainy week in Austin, I got caught in a dark street and ran through a giant formation of water and off went my bumper.. new to the area I was a bit wary of just showing up to a random body shop, but after a couple minutes with David, the owner, I knew i was in good hands. He took his time to walk the car and point out how badly the old bumper had been bent and the damage it had caused to the wiring harness. He ordered the parts right away and I dropped my car off the following Monday. The following week she was as good as new! The paint matched perfectly and while it was there, I opted for them to also buff out and repaint the front bumper that had already seen it s fair share of poles. They were also proactive and even replaced some parking sensors that went into the bumper. I m happy to now have a shop I know I can rely on.

Don't let the name fool you, these guys do high-end work and produce an excellent result every time. I'm very picky about my cars and never have to worry if I'm dropping off a vehicle with this team. That's pretty unique

Such an awesome experience with the entire team! The entire team showed how much they care about your vehicle from the first contact until you pick it up in immaculate condition -inside and out! Work was done in a timely manner, with status updates every step of the way. With crazy Austin drivers, I m sure I will be needing body work in the future and I definitely will not go anywhere else. Thank you, David, London, Candy, and the entire team of technicians.

Awesome group!! I hit a deer and these guys took care of my poor busted up car in no time!! They were quick and kind and I appreciated their care. Their price was fantastic too!! I couldn't ask for a better body shop. Thanks!!

Body shops aren't exactly the place where you want to go. It's like going to the dentist, but David and his crew were extremely great to work with. They tackled the insurance claim portion with professionalistm and ease, and kept us in the loop every step of the way. When we picked up the car, you couldn't tell that it had been in an accident. The work was flawless. I would highly recommend! When the owner gives you his cell, and says text any time, that shows he cares about his customers!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Body & Trim

We've had two cars repainted at Discount Body Shop and the work was excellent. I'm upset, however, that my son's disabled parking placard was missing after we picked up the car. He should have removed it before leaving the car, but we didn't even think about that being an issue. When I reached out to the company to please look for it I got an attitude and they insisted nobody would have taken it. They are the only people who have had access to the car. This is very disappointing since we would have used them again for future paint work that will be needed on that car.Service: Painting

The team at Discount Body Shop is the absolute best! I had extreme hail damage all over my car, and DBS was able to turn my car around in 2 weeks and make it look brand new again. The entire experience with DBS was smooth, easy, and simple...very little effort needed on my end. I will trust them with my car as long as I'm living in Austin, and I have been telling everyone I know who lives in the Austin area to go to Discount Body Shop for all their auto repair needs. David & crew were fantastic. They worked with me on the quote, they didn't pester me about self pay vs insurance (I paid out of pocket), and they did a fantastic job, for a good price, and came in 2 days early. Highly recommend!! My car looks better than when I bought it a year ago. It is an older, though by no means ancient, Civic, but runs great and now looks great again - repaired door, quarter panel, headlights, grill, bumper, etc.... Looks like new!

Thank you Discount Body Shop!My vehicle was stolen and then recovered with some wheel/tire and body damage. David helped me better understand the process of getting my vehicle repaired, he worked directly with my insurance adjusters, and made the whole process completely hassle free. Plus his team did a great job on the repairs! I will definitely recommend Discount Body Shop to my friends and family.

I couldn't be happier with the great service and quality work from this family owned and operated business. They have repaired minor damage to my vehicle twice and even gave me a ride to the rental car agency. The rates are reasonable, turnaround was quick and within time promised and the owners are a great family from my South Austin neighborhood. I love having a trusted place to take my car, especially as a single mom when often I'm given the typical runaround at places when I'm in a bind for service. Thanks again!

Used Discount Body Shop for work on my front bumper and hood. David and London were a pleasure to work with and the work done was amazing. The car came back just in time to make it to see family for the holidays (VERY happy about that) and was clean inside and out, best it has looked in a while! I highly recommend the team at Discount Body Shop. London at the front desk was exceptionally courteous in getting the repair process started. Even though my issue was relatively minor (broken side mirror assembly on a cargo van), I was taken care of expeditiously and professionally. Despite the current supply chain situation, they were able to find the needed part even faster than they initially quoted. They installed it the day after they received it at a time convenient to me. And the price was 15% less than the other quote I had received. I had the chance to speak with David the owner while I was there. I could definitely appreciate his commitment and passion to running a top notch, local, family oriented business in these challenging times.Service: Body & Trim

I had a pretty big dent I had been dreading to fix on my truck for almost 7 years. After reading about Discount Body Shop, I decided to give David (the owner) a shout on Yelp. He was more than speedy to respond, and I given a more than reasonable quote. He totally worked with my schedule and did good work! Truck looks great, the job was completed promptly, and they matched the paint perfectly. These guys have my business for life!

David and Hazael were great! They worked with me and my insurance company to determine the best solution for some damage to the rear bumper of my 2015 Honda Accord. They did a fantastic job and turned around my repair in about three days. Very satisfied and we highly recommend!

My car looks great! Really good work, but they charged me 350 more than the estimate and it was nearly two weeks late. I wish I'd gone to a nicer shop because I sure didn't get a "discount."Edit: Another shop would have honored their estimate and got it done on time. It wasn't a "safety" issue. They suggested I pick my car up with a tow truck after paying the 2800 we agreed on. They did not realize there was an additional problem until several days after they said it would be finished.

All the stars for Discount Body Shop!!! Excellent service, superior work, great prices from a locally-owned Austin business! Something flew into the front bumper of my new car on the freeway over the weekend, resulting in a 6 inch crack, a big deeply-grooved circular scrape. Bummer! Called David on Monday afternoon, he got me in Tuesday morning and out Wednesday mid-day. His team was able to repair and repaint the bumper, rather than replacing, which saved me a bundle. Best part is it looks brand new again! Thanks David and team, I couldn't be more happy and will tell everyone I know!
