Rarely write a review but had to give Davis Tire & Automotive a shot out! It s raining, I had a nail in tire. Not only were they quick but they were very accommodating. Patched up my tire fast. I m a happy camper again. This place is a little gem

This place was recommended to me by a family member because they do great work and are honest. I scheduled an appointment convinced I needed new brakes and an oil change. Walked away only paying for an oil change because they were honest and told me I didn't need new brakes yet. As a single mom, I am so thankful I didn't have to pay for something I didn't need yet. It is so nice to go to the mechanic and not have a fear-based response about being taken advantage of. Highly recommend this place. The people are super nice, too!

No longer doing state inspections for vehicles. Still doing everything else just dropped state inspections since Brake Check took over.

I had a great experience. Had a nail in my tire and needed to get a quick patch job while i was in the area running errands. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Good customer service too.

Davis has provided incredible service to our family for years. They have gone above and beyond every time especially including today. I had a flat tire and they actually sent someone (Ryan) out to to replace my tire and put on my spare because I had no other options. They were EXTREMELY accommodating! They got the new tires delivered same day to their location so we could replace all four. They have amazing customer service, friendly and knowledgeable employees who work very hard to to do everything to make their customers happy and whom of which go above and beyond. Their prices are very reasonable as well! I am so grateful for the service provided today and for all the service that has been provided for my family and friends for many years. I love supporting local businesses and there definitely one I highly recommend. Thank you guys for making a tough situation so much easier.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I have been buying tires there for over 20 years. Excellent service. Picked up a nail in a tire I bought 2-1/2 years ago. Drove up and the repair man pulled the tire, removed the nail, patched it, replaced the tire and I was on the road again in less than 20 minutes! No charge, since I bought the tire there.

I've been going to Davis Tire & Automotive for a few years, mostly for state inspections. I live right around the corner, and I can drop off my car and walk home. On top of the convenience, I feel it's nice to give my business to local stores rather than to the big chains.This time they told me I needed two new tires and a new tail light. They were going to charge $178 for a new tail light and $104 to install it, so I decided to shop around and got a used tail light on ebay much cheaper. I had to loosen three screws to get the old one out, plugged the new one in, and was done. Wow, over a hundred dollars in labor for something that even I could do in 5 minutes?While I was at it, I shopped online for tires and found some I liked as a Black-Friday deal. I ordered them and had Davis install them. Their original quote called for $25 per tire for installation, which is a little more than the typical $20 at other places, but I figured I'd do it anyway. Little did I know that when you bring your own tires, they charge $41.65 per tire! And of course I was not warned about this ahead of time.In fact, I had asked about parts vs labor during my first visit and had been told, if I buy the part and bring it in, the labor to install it would cost the same and I would simply not pay the price for the part. I pointed this out and they simply said, yeah, that's for normal parts, not for tires.What an incredible rip-off! They'll definitely never get my business again.Service: Tires

I've been going there since 2010, my neighbor said he's been going there since the 1990's. The Dad was running the ship then and now the son. They are honest and have always treated me fairly. The work has always met a very high standard.I am not a mechanic so I ask a lot of questions, never once did anyone seem to care, nor suggest I was annoying and they were happy to explain why the work was recommended along with the options.You don't have to be a mechanic to go there.

This place is awful. I called ahead to ask if I could have my battery replaced and said I would be coming straight there at that time. When I arrived, the guy I spoke with said there wouldn t be a tech there for an hour. Information that would ve been nice to know when I specifically asked if I could come there 15 minutes prior. They checked my battery and told me there was nothing they could do as it was reading good battery even though my car wouldn t start. The guy continued to tell me there was nothing they could do and that they could schedule me in for a later date. Obviously I needed to get my car looked at that day since it wouldn t start. They were so rude and told me to jump my car myself when I was obviously frustrated. This place is trash and I will not be back. This one guy did come out and ask if I needed help after his colleagues were so embarrassing and rude so props to him. Anyways, I jumped my car myself and drove down the road to Whitlock Automotive and they fit me in that day.

Well read a couple of positive reviews about the place and needed two tires installed. Called and they said come in now we are not that busy. So figured would give them a shot. Tires were installed in about 50 mins. So all good so far. Service consultant was friendly enough. Well this is when everything went to hell. Car was driven back to the front of the shop and I did a quick inspection of the wheels to see the quality of the work and that's when I noticed that the rims were scuffed up, not just on the edges around the rim perimeter but on the wheel spokes a number of inches above the rim. Enough damage that it looks pretty damn ugly, I take car of my cars so now I'm pissed. The service consultant comes out to see what I am looking at and then proceeds to take some photos, says his boss will be in touch to discuss, he is just an employee. Boss never calls only the service consultant answers the phone and says boss says pretty much not possible that they could have done that damage (so pretty much calling me a lair) The boss has not yet called back as promised to discuss the situation after numerous attempts at trying to reach him and to resolve this in a professional manner. In fact they are just ignoring me at this point. Quote to repair the damage is $300 as both rims are screwed up and damage has to be machined out. Rather push my car in future to the next shop that take it here again.

Traveling from out of town for a pediatric dr. appointment. Had a flat/tire bubble on 290. Stopped here to buy replacements and get back on the road. They had no tires in stock in the needed size (mind you, this is a Toyota Highlander with standard tires, one of the most common vehicles on the road these days). Said they couldn t get any until the afternoon. Asked about having them change to spare for us, they said it would be $15, which we had no problem with, but then said they couldn t get to it for at least 45 minutes to an hour. Not sure why since there were several guys there and NO other customers. So we changed to the spare in the rain in their parking lot. No offer to let us pull in to do it out of the rain and off the wet ground, no offer to let us use a better jack. The guy just stood inside and watched us. Where we come from, people help each other out. Clearly not the case around here...Terrible customer service.

It's okay and you know what, we had a flat tire and they turned us around in 20-30 minutes for $25, I thought that was a little steep as discount tire will do it for free. But really what would you expect, they've supplied the labour the building the overhead. They did good.

Went in to get a nail removed from my tire. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. And it only cost twenty bucks! Nice folks. Sure beats the 2 hour lines at Discount Tire on the same day. Will return again.

Had two tires dismounted and new ones mounted. It was quick but I got home to find a leak in the bead that caused my tire to go flat a couple hours later. Had to take it back and they took care of it but I can t even tell if they had my wheels balanced like they charged me for. Was feeling a lot more wobble in my steering than I was before swapping the tires. Had to go take my car to discount tire to properly balance them and now it feels better.

This place is great... they had us in and out after a fixed flat within 20 minutes. Transparent pricing with no unnecessary up-selling like some other places. Great, friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I live in Houston and my daughter lives in Austin. Her car broke down so she had it towed here. We have a $160 for the $100 deductible and the remainder of the towing fee that wasn't covered in the warranty. The total bill was $420 and some change. Again, I only authorized $160; however, when I checked my bank account the entire $420 dollars was charged "accidentally" by a guy named Kenny. He acted like no big deal; it of course was a simple "mistake". However, to me it was huge. I'm a single mom that lives pay check to pay check and this ended up overdrawing my account. And now I'm getting charged late fees as well. Kenny lackadaisically apologizes and say the funds will go back on my card within an hour or so. I call back later and still no credit to my account. Then he says the funds will go back on my card after 5:30pm; again I check and no credit. Then I call him the next day and he says he made the credit, but the credit card company is waiting on my bank to release the funds back which doesn't even make since b/c it wasn't my bank that took the funds. Then he tells me he'll send me the confirmation/tracking number so I can see that the charges have been credited to my account. But again when I check my email the next day there is no email from Kenny. I am now on my third day of trying to get the funds that I did not authorize back on my credit card. I then ask for the owner to call me and Kenny tells me that the owner will call me today once he gets in around noon. It's 4:30pm now and I have yet to hear from the owner. So, then I called up there again to try and speak to someone and now they are just letting the phone ring and ring.I'm appalled by their lackadaisical attitude of over charging my credit by $260!!!I would definitely not recommend this place in any fashion!!!

Said they would have my part the next day. I went by once, nope... they still have not called a week later. Yes, I left my number.This was 2 stars but because they couldn't even respond to this review it goes down to 1.

Customer service not as expected: What was to be a routine oil change and tire rotation turned in to an all day affair. The communicated 2 hour ETA became 8 hours and unfortunately the manager's attitude came across as if he was being inconvenienced. Being an optimist and a fan of local businesses we plan on giving them another shot (review update planned).

Love this place, I go here for all my regular maintenance and inspection. I just bought my last two set of tires here as well they gave me a great price. I shopped them with several other tire dealers including online and they were well priced and offer great service.

I love these guys. They have always been so fast and so friendly. Never had a bad experience with them and they always get me in and out in no time. I have never spent more than 20 minutes there each time I've been. They are great!

These guys are great. I drop my car in the morning and it is usually ready to go at the end of the day. I've had brakes done, tires put on, etc. They are low key and get the job done.

Needed a new tire for my riding mower. They had one in stock and put it on while I waited. Got me out in no time and the price was very reasonable. I'll be back. They have always been a good resource for tires and batteries.

Do not take your car here. It started with a $1700 quote, then a $2600 quote, then a $3400 quote, then a $3900 quote. The car never broke down before I brought it here. After they had my car for 30 days and I gave them $3000 and $800 to Enterprise Rent a Car, my engine overheated and now they want another $4000 to rebuild my engine. Not to mention the owner is never there and dodges calls. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a business in my life.

I walked in the door, a complete stranger. I had a huge/immediate need and they treated me like a "VIP". I was in and out in less than an hour and the price was as amazing as the service! Do business with these people!

I have been coming here for years and they always do a fantastic job for a great price. Awesome customer service with professional mechanics. I bring all my vehicles here including our work trucks. I highly recommend Davis Tire and Automotive.
