My best experience at any auto shop. I'd been struggling with my spark plugs and coils and was stuck away from home for two days because every mechanic was giving me insanely high prices. I took my car to Cranks and within the hour he had my car running perfectly, and at the best price I could possibly ask for. Will be recommending them to everyone from here on out! Very kind, fast service and at a great price!

I bought a car from them this month. It was listed at a great price and looked good and drove well during the test drive so I figured it was worth it to buy it even if it ended up needing work (nothing against them, I just always assume used cars might have hidden problems). After buying it, I took it to my own mechanic and paid over $100 to have them do the most thorough bumper to bumper inspection they offer and I was so happy with what they found -- the car was in excellent condition. They recommended only very minor maintenance. I was very impressed with everyone at Crank. They are clearly hard-working, honest men trying to keep the lights on by selling at very reasonable prices. I would use them again for sure.

I brought my '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee in to take a look at my drive belt, which had begun cracking and squeaking. I also had a leak problem with my AC coolant system. Fateh quickly changed my drive belt and has been working with me to help solve my AC leak, which on a 30-year-old car, can be a little tricky. He was extremely quick and efficient, he gave prices which were more than fair, and kept his word on all of his work and prices. This is a great place.

My husband, sons and I all trust our cars (four cars) to Crank. Fateh and Mohammed are both great to work with. They are responsive to texts, even on Sundays, when they are closed. Their pricing is competitive, and repairs are done quickly. One day I dropped by to get my brakes checked out. They were able to complete the needed repair right away. They had two guys work on my car and and finished the brake job in about 45 minutes. Wow! We ve never had any issue with the quality of their work. They also offer state inspections. Honest, competent mechanics with reasonable pricing seem hard to come by these days. We are very happy to have found Crank!

Fateh was amazing!He gave me a great deal to replace the AC compressor on my Saturn Astra. He provided a very fast turnaround and was communicative and friendly throughout.HIGHLY recommend Fateh and the crew at Crank Auto Repair in the SE Austin area - thank y all so much!

I highly recommend Crank Auto Repair! They offered great service and work at very fair prices. I had them replace the engine in my 2002 Toyota Camry, and they provided me the best quote and had the ability to complete the work faster than any other place I called in Austin. They had the engine replacement ordered and installed in the car within 4 days. Fateh was great and even texted and checked on me and the car after pick up to make sure everything was running smoothly. Great local shop!

I rarely will give a place 5 stars or write a review , especially with how much dishonesty we have in the world. Crank has time and time again been hands down best service, best prices, and I need to say they always go the extra mile. They helped my girl out when she literally was looking at being charge $1700-3000 for a replacement part/larbor. They have always made time for their customers, they always check in on you, they give you fast updates, and most of all I feel safe leaving my car, or anything with them. This auto shop makes you feel like family and that s how the world should be, don t second guess yourself . If you lost faith in mechanics, shops, etc look no freaking further these guys really give 200% to make sure you are safe on the road, look good on the road, and most of all it s the right price not a magical internet price that all these other auto shops up charge. Overall I can t thank them enough for working on my Cadillac SRX, Nissan rouge, and my Ram truck through the years. I would be car less in Austin if I didn t find such an amazing auto shop, once again honesty, kindness, and understanding make a business, this is your testimony that GOOD PEOPLE DO EXIST!!!

By far, the best, most honest, speedy & efficient auto shop in this city (and out of any city I ve lived in, for that matter)! It took no time to figure out why so many had recommended this amazing place, with auto repair professionals who deeply care about the quality of their work, and also deeply care about your personal needs, time and satisfaction.I moved to Austin last year, and after searching for an honest, affordable and truthful auto repair shop (which took months), I m beyond thankful I ve now found Crank and the people who work there. They give you honest and affordable quotes, and stick to it until the end without giving big ball park estimates that leave you wondering what your final bill will hold. From beginning to end, they are transparent and hold true to their mission as well as taking care of you as a client. They go out of their way to do the right thing- and I ve never walked away from an auto repair shop experience as grateful as when I left Crank. There s one thing I know without a doubt- I will be going back for all the small projects and big fixes. It s the best hidden gem I ve found in this city! Fateh, Charles and his team were absolutely WONDERFUL at looking into my brake light issue with regards to the light on the dash, to looking at the battery of my car and finally figuring out the simple fix the car needed to turn my brake lights on again. Car was leaking a ton of oil and my regular mechanic told me it would be a few days to fix. I started looking around and found these guys... they fixed it FAST and on the spot and at a very fair price. Safe to say that these guys will be my go to mechanics now.

Called in at noon to get a quote on a thermostat replacement for my Ford Focus. Fateh gave me a quote on the spot & told me to bring my car by that afternoon. I dropped my vehicle off at 2:30pm and it was serviced by 6:00pm the same day. Wouldn't hesitate to take my car here again.It is a bit confusing to navigate if you're bringing your car here for the first time. The "front office" is in a little barn-like building located on the left side of the property from where you enter. I flagged someone down and they referred me to Fateh, who recognized me from our phone call.

Wow, what an amazing auto shop! I could say a lot, but I want to keep it simple to the service they give, and the work they do. The minute I walked in they greeted me, asked me what the issue was, and were able to test to find out exactly what was wrong. Then game me quoted how much it would be to fix and told me to think about it because it was a very expensive fix. That fix was my AC being broken in the middle of summer in Texas. After a day later I called him back wanted to go with the service. Not only did they completed in a timely manner, which was just a day. Since then it s been working perfectly!!!. I highly recommend going to them and anytime I have mechanical issue it s nice to finally find a reliable mechanic. They didn t gouge me on the price and give me a discount also said to come back for oil change and they ll take care of it. Best service experience in my life!! Thank you thank you

Had such a great first experience here- incredible customer service! Needed my radiator fan fixed and they were able to get me in right away. Communication was amazing, even getting back to me well after they had closed. Their pricing is so fair and reasonable, quoting me way lower than other auto shops were. C.A.R is now my go to mechanic!!

Go to mechanic and I highly recommend them to my friends and family. They are willing to send photos, show you old parts, and give you heads up on things they ve noticed. Their prices are fair and they are honest about the pricing.

I've been searching for an honest, reliable auto mechanic and I finally found one at Crank Auto! They have taken great care of my car and my son's car, and help save us money which we greatly appreciate. Fateh has kept my 2007 Honda CRV in good running condition and I've been able to pass it on to my son. I recommend him to all my family and friends. Sounds funny but I had the MOST supportive auto repair experience I have ever had working with Fateh at Crank Auto. I needed a clutch replacement. I was referred by a family member who described him as an honest and decent/fair priced. He exceeded my expectations. I was under tremendous amount of stress, trying to work out solutions because I had two cars out of commission with major expense repairs. He was immediately responsive, he never waived on the price, and he gave my car back to me within a day. The car is working wonderfully. No issues. He's a rare find. This was the best auto mechanic I ve gone to thus far in Austin! I recently moved from Indiana and have been looking for a new mechanic and I definitely found one in this business! They were so professional and kind. The owner even stayed past closing time to fix my car and he charged me a VERY good price compared to other mechanics in the area.
