We were told at the location to order online and make an appointment online. We did so and the next day it was cancelled and we couldn't reschedule or order. So we had to come back to the tire center to order and schedule. To be fair, the gentleman who helped order was very kind and helpful. That was the only positive experience. We came back for our 6pm appointment about a week later and was told it would only take about 60 minutes (by another kind gentleman) so we decided to stay in the store instead of going anywhere since it would be a short time. We checked in at the 90 minute mark and was told work hadn't even been started.Well the deadline kept getting extended, then after 8:30pm (when they close) we were called and told the wheels had a wheel lock and they didn't have the ability to unlock it. They said they looked through the whole car and all the storage areas (which we never gave permission to do) but couldn't find one so they couldn't put the tires on.We were unsure why we sat for 2.5 hours to be told they couldn't change the tires even though they had looked at them multiple times and never mentioned anything. When we got home we immediately found the wheel lock in the back seat where it definitely was not before, which made it seem they just didn't want to do the work and close early. We were told to come back again the next day to bring it in and they would take care of it immediately. We asked if 12pm would work to which they said that would be great. Again, we were told it would go quickly because there was an open lane and one car only needing one tire, so again we stayed. It has now been another 2.5 hours and when I asked for an update, the gentleman working half answered and walked out in the middle of my question. Overall, it took nearly 6 hours to change tires. And was a horrible experience.

I mean we all come for price so it doesn t seem fair to give less than 3 stars. But a little bit of communication would go a long way on timing. I was quoted an hour and a half and it took nearly 3 hours. It would have been nice to get updates so I could plan my day or at least throw in the $9 lug nuts. The wait was bad enough I ll go to Discount Tire and pay the extra 25 per tire for timeliness. But if budget is your only concern, this is still the best bet.

This is very frustrating. I got flat tire and tried to replace them by walk-in. They said they couldn t because I missed 7800miles tire rotation but what s the relationship with flat tire and tire rotation? Is this their policy to force customer to purchase new tires? If you have warranty with them (if you bought from them), make sure tire rotation since they ask you to give that history too.So I left since they just give me the wheel, not the installation. And few hours later, they called me again and asked why I didn t leave the key with them. It was them who gave me key since they don t have time to install it. I came back and give the car key and they said it s going to be done at the closing time.Very unprofessional and ruined my entire day keeping back and forth with this store. If they told me this with the phone call earlier, I wouldn t come here at the first place.Whoever told employees to do this, they need to get replaced. Management for this tire store or maybe Costco itself should be changed. What a shame that big company ruins their own image like this.

This shop has no time concern on certain customer service on timing. I had an appointment at 1 pm and ordered 2 tire purchase. I got the receipt after payment at 1:30 to start to work. Up to here I don't have any complaint. The staff told me it would take 1 to 1 hour and 30 minutes. So I came back to the shop in 30 minutes after my shopping. My car already was ready to get the new tires. I waited hoping someone put them back soon. With my car other two more cars were at the same situation waiting, waiting for one and half hours. 3 or 4 people were moving here and there, but there was no advance. I don't think there is any supervision or control. With appointment, it took two and half hours to buy just two tires. It was a chaos in the auto business damaging the good image of Costco. It was a pity.

Have an appointment for a four tire install at 4:30pm on a Tuesday. Arrived 3:30pm hoping to get my vehicle in the service bay sooner. At precisely 5:26pm someone called me to apologize for the delay and my car is now in service bay. So that's 2 hours wasted for absolutely NOTHING.Now is 6:26pm and I JUST got a call from them that my car is finally finished..In short, DO NOT come to this place to install tires if you're tight on time. You WILL NEVER make it to whatever that's planned afterwards!Additional stars given since I like their tire prices & attention to detail during installation..

Costco tire center was indeed awesome experience for me. These people are always in demand and need to book an application prior 1 week or so. In my case, I had flat tire which I realised late evening. When I called Costco tire center, Hector the Costco Tire center representative picked up the phon. He told me that if you can get the vehicle here he would take care of the same. I managed to change tire with spare and drove to Costco. As promised, Hector and Anthony both are really nice people. I was not sure as it was already 7:15 pm and very less time to finish earlier3 cars plus mine. They stayed back and helped to get flat tire fixed. I really appreciate both of then for their attitude for going beyond their duties and shown empathy. I would have rated more than 5. Just Awesome experience. You guys rock!!!

Came for a tire replacement yesterday. Store employee Howard asked me what was my tire size. I mistakenly mentioned the wrong size but I did mention and he asked what vehicle it was going on. The size I told him would never fit my vehicle but, instead of punching in the vehicle information into the computer to check what size was standard on that car ( I mentioned that I had factory everything) or actually walking out to the car to look at the tire and verify the tire, Howard just told me they didn't have that tire and watched while I stood there and made a dozen calls to various places trying to locate a tire ( still mentioning the wrong size!!) . After an hour of calling, I decided to walk back out to the car and get another look at the tire to find out I mentioned the wrong size. Ended up losing my spot in line and Costco took 5 hours for the job instead of what could have been 45 minutes ( being 1st in the morning). They don't have basic training for employees to walk out to customer vehicles for verification purposes? Howard and the other employee ( don't remember the name, short tattooed dude) get extremely poor ratings for handling this poorly. Train your employees properly or move them to Costco produce department! Go here if you like dealing with high levels of incompetence and enjoy a wasted day!

Ridiculously slow. Replacing one tire took two hours even with an appointment.Walked in, one other person in line, and it still took 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. Then, they basically said give us your keys, we will get to it, call you in an hour. They tried to sell me 4 new tires, which I understand. But don t tell me to get a certain tire because we have the most of that one in stock lol. And don t tell me my tire treads are low when you just read the tread depths to me and they re nowhere near low.So even after I confirmed just to change out one tire, it still took another hour before I could leave with the car.Oh, and beware being put on hold. I was put on hold for 10 minutes after they told me to call them back quickly. And the hold music is just the same 11 seconds over and over and over.I really love Costco, but this is the one part of Costco that needs an overhaul.

Great customer service! They were able to help me with my flat tire very late on a Friday. Repair my tire in the meantime and helped get the best deal for new tires. After my order arrived went again and were able to help me on a Sunday afternoon without appointment.Just be patient, they're pretty busy, but they are honest technicians and are able to help you out and give you suggestions to make an educated decision.

Waited thirty minutes for a battery after 25 minutes the guy up front asks for help and they fly through us...I had two people in front of me picking up vehicles ....what about that takes 15 minutes also had multiple people walk out during this time. No apologies for the wait while we're standing there. This plac is a joke if your time is worth anything don't go here.

While I love Costco, and have had nothing but positive experiences with the business prior to this, unfortunately this specific tire center has ruined it for me. I purchased tires and took my car in to Costco for them to install them on 9/10/22. When I picked up my car after instillation, I turned it on and the flat tire symbol on the dash was on. One of the tires was flat with a PSI of 10. I hadn t even left the lot so I swung back in to the service center. They worked on it for over an hour before they came back and gave me no explanation, just said perhaps someone forgot to fill it up completely. Confused and apprehensive, I then left Costco and found that when I got up to speed on the freeway, my wheel was shaking. Again, turned around and went back. This time I waited around 2 hours before they came out to the lobby and said that they had broken the lug bolt & it was unsafe to drive and needed to be towed to service center of my choosing. They assured me that they would pay for the repair as it was their fault. I went ahead and had my car taken to Honda service center. Honda replaced the wheel hub on the passenger side that Costco broke but the wheel continued to shake, suggesting that that wheel was not the problem. They then inspected the other wheels and found that multiple lugs on the front driver side had been stripped and were not tightened, leading to significant wheel instability. They took photos for documentation. This means that when Costco replaced that tire, they failed to appropriately secure the new tire to the wheel and then allowed me to leave the lot in a very unsafe vehicle. I then notified Costco tire center of this and was told that that was not their fault as they only broke the lugs on the front passenger side, even though they were the last ones to touch the front driver tire as they replaced this tire (and all 4 tires). I am disputing this and working with Gallagher Bassett to resolve this and ensure that Costco pays for the damages and services that ensued from their negligence. While they agreed wholeheartedly to pay for the new wheal bearing that was required on the side that they broke, it has been two months and endless calls/emails yet still I have not been reimbursed. I would highly recommend taking your car elsewhere for tire needs. The entire situation has been very disappointing.

Costco Tire seems always in demand. I was a walk-in due to flat tire. They took me in but warned me for the long wait. Initially I thought I would have to replace the whole set, but after checking the tires, they told me that I should be able to get some more mileage. It was a super long wait, but it's all worthwhile. I left Costco auto with gratitude and satisfaction. One advice - it is a good idea to drop off the vehicle at the shop and go about your own business if you are able to arrange that. It will be a super long wait, especially you are a walk-in.

Be sure to make an appointment online! (See photo) You can also buy tires online and have them shipped to the store if they aren't in stock. They are very helpful in shop if you want to buy them in store. But if you come on a weekend or a weekday night, they probably won't be able to get you in immediately.

This place needs more employees. One guy running around drenched in sweat taking customers. Took 30 minutes to get a turn to get help. They took 3 days to replace a tire. A day to order 2 days to install. Very bad service and they always say short staffed, never answer the phone.

We buy all of our tires at Costco and save money on their purchase price and their maintenance and repair. Recently, the monitor for the right front run flat tire of my BMW 328i indicated that the air was low. Rather than adding air at a gas station I made an appointment at the tire center.I was first told that they couldn t find a problem with the tire or rim. Later, I was told that they had somehow damaged the tire. Yesterday, I drove home with a new tire and all four tires had been balanced and rotated, all at no charge. As I was waiting to pick up my car it was pretty clear that people calling in with tire problems can get pretty worked up. The manager and other mechanics working at the front desk remained calm, polite, and helpful. It is reassuring that if we have tire problems while we re on a long road trip our run flat tires will likely be able to get us to the nearest Costco Tire Center.

I'm a die hard fan of Costco including their tire center, but it takes forever to get new tires, tire rotation and balance, or road hazard warranty. Any service takes 3 hours. If you have all the time in the world, it's great, otherwise it makes no sense to waste your valuable time to save a few bucks.

"When I went to get my flat tire fixed, they asked if I had made an appointment. Isn't a flat tire usually an emergency? It's hard to understand why they want me to come back the next day for an appointment."

Bought tires here with a warranty a few months ago. Came for a tire rotation and they told me that one of my tires was worn down and needed to be replaced. They did not honor the warranty and charged me for a new tire with a discount.

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share our recent experience with this tire center out of a sense of responsibility. My family recently took two vehicles here, about a week apart, for a new set of tires on each vehicle. They were short-staffed, so I could forgive the long wait times (2.5 hours in one case ) despite setting appointments. However, more seriously, both vehicles then displayed TPMS errors after the tires were replaced. We initially thought there was a calibration period for the system before the light would turn off, but it remained stubbornly lit, despite checking the tire pressure with Costco's own tire pressure pumps. One vehicle was taken back to the tire center to reset the system, but to no avail: they claimed the system had failed naturally due to age. However, a second opinion from Bearden Automotive, a trusted local Toyota auto shop, said the TPMS system had been damaged and would require replacement. If this had happened a few days or weeks after the visits, I could believe it, but seeing as both systems "failed" immediately after their tires were serviced here, I would strongly suggest you steer clear of this location. :(

There s a gentlemen here who provides very poor customer service. He is very impatient and will give you an attitude. Moreover, forget about ever getting your flat tire fixed on the same day unless you have several hours to sit and wait. Appointments are usually booked out for 4-5 days, not very useful when you need a flat repair or a donut changed out. I went down the street to the discount tire instead and they provided amazing customer service. There are always plenty of staff there to help you, people actually smile, and service is same day and quick. I ended up needing a new tire and went ahead and ordered with discount tire instead of Costco despite paying $40 more. Although Costco is cheaper and their warranty is 5 years instead of 3 at discount tire, I figure what use would a warranty be at Costco if you could never get a same day appointment to fix an emergency flat or having to wait 4-5 days to get a tire changed. With the poor customer service provided at Costco tire, It was a no brainer for me to go with discount tires instead. This Costco tire location can do so much better, it is such a stark contrast from the Costco warehouse. So disappointed

The team from Costco Tire Center in NW Austin is perfectly doing their job upon the schedule. It is important to have free tire rotation at every ~7500 miles to avoid uneven tire wear plus to keep the warranty. They air the tires with nitrogen, which leaks a little bit less from the tires then a regular air.Sometimes the waiting at the front desk may be more than 10 minutes, so they need to add extra person to serve the clients.

I brought a 1 year old Tesla here for a flat tire repair. After waiting over 4 hours for them to remove the tire, they told me they wouldn t repair it because they don t sell that tire brand. They also damaged the side of the wheel rim.Apparently their policy is that if a tire has noise reducing foam, they will not repair it if it is a tire they do not sell. The tire says on the sidewall that it has noise reducing foam, they could have just looked at it and refused to repair it immediately.

I found a screw in one of my tires and went to this Costco to get it fixed, like I always have in the past. I was asked if I have an appointment. Who schedules an appointment to get a tire repaired? It's not like you schedule getting a screw stuck in your tire. I was told they couldn't guarantee they could get to me today. The appointment site doesn't work on cell phones, and you have to specify the desktop site. Once that loaded, I found that there are no appointments available until Saturday. Today is Wednesday. Who can wait 3 days to get their tire repaired?!? This is not the customer service I've come to expect from Costco.

Amazingly slow service.Even after doing all the work of researching the tire, ordering it, shipping to their tire center. Booking an appointment. The place was not even that busy, a handful of customers only.Arrived at 12:00 for a 12:15 appointment, was finally able to speak to the attendant at 12:30. After a good hour no work was done on the tires , literally nobody was in the bay except for one person answering phone calls. When I started asking about the progress, finally the guy answering the phone started balancing the tires to look a little busy. They finally returned the car after an hour longer than max. estimated. By then, the frozen food we had purchased from Costco had warmed up, spoiling it.Waited in the picnic area for the service to complete, there was some homeless lady laying on the bench with what looked like a beer can next to her. What a disaster!

I made appointment for tire repair. They check me in and take note on the issue, the vehicle information, tire brand, etc. After 1 hour with no update, I came back to see what's going on. While waiting in line to talk to customer service, and after 70 minutes after check-in, they finally called and told me that they can not service the tire due to the brand. They waited for 70 minutes before looking at the tire. I had an appointment and came on time. They could have told me during check-in because it is the brand of tire that they can not fix. But they decided to let me know after 70 minutes. I went to Discount tire right on my way home and got the tire fix on the same day for free. 1 good review for Discount Tire and 1 bad review for Costco Tire Center.

Took 2 hours for a tire rotation, even with an appointment. The groceries I got next door were pretty well melted by the time I got my car, even though I waited an hour into my appointment before I started shopping.Employees were friendly and seemed to be working hard, they probably just need to book fewer appointments.

Surprisingly mean and unhelpful at this location, where we had bought luxury Bridgestone tires 10k miles ago. Picked up a nail. Drove to Costco. Could they please help? Grumpy guy: "Did you make an appointment?" "No, it just happened." "You can leave it all day, no promises. Or make an appoinment online. Next slot is in 2 weeks." I drove to NTB, where they kindly fixed it quickly, with a super friendly attitude. What a difference!

Astoundingly bad experience. Bought tires online, made appointment waited 1/2 hour in line to talk to person at counter just to check in for appointment Then waited another hour and they never started the install.Made another appointment, couldn t get them installed. They said lug nuts were too tight. Took it to the Mercedes dealer who said they were torqued properly.Went back third time, waited 1 and 3/4 hours to get installed and they never started. Turns out they started the install of our tires on another person s vehicle. Got our money back and left. Manager wasn t even apologetic (though other people were nice, just not helpful).Back to our usual tire chain. Lesson learned.
