This family run business has provides me with excellent service for more than a decade. I had a/c work, electrical, brakes, and oil changes done here. I ve never been disappointed.

Don t go here whatever you do. I ve been a customer for over 10 years and always trusted them and thought they did good work. I was wrong. I had a check engine light and I used my own OBD to see what was going on. It seemed like a pretty minor repair after doing all my research. I drop the car with Chelsie s and they call me back with an astronomical estimate. Normally to save time I would just let them do the work. This time I decided to make a few calls and immediately found a highly rated shop at 1/3 the price of Chelsie s. I went to get my car and I talked with the owner Chelsie about it. I explained that I had been a loyal customer. He did not care. I explained the cost difference and that it was disappointing to have to take my car somewhere else. He did not care. He charged me a ridiculous diagnostic fee that was as much as the repair. His diagnosis was the same as mine that I did for free! I told him that was going to be big mistake if he charged me for it and it is. Make sure you do not go to this shop. This guy is a clown. When did good customers start not mattering? Not sure how much these shysters stole from me over the years but it s significant. I hope I just saved you some time and money.

I brought my Honda Odyssey in to have my power steering pump replaced. I am still having problems with it! I had a family friend work on the power steering pump for me this time. He replaced the pump that Chelsie s had replaced for me. He discovered that they had put in a used pump!! No wonder I have been having problems even after Chelsie s had fixed my van!! Taking advantage of a single mom is lousy business practice!! I had brought my van back in a few times complaining about the power steering, and they never could figure out what was wrong with it. Well, it was a bad pump, and they should have known that! I feel like I have a brand new van! The power steering is finally working again!! No thanks to Chelsie s!!

These guys were recommended by a neighbor who found them through her church. They are the most honest automobile mechanics I have ever encountered. Prices are more than fair. They will not try to overcharge or up-sell services you do not need. I have tested them and they pass every test. I got my auto inspection here. When I called, they answered the phone which is already a positive. Whey were professional and had fast service. Will be going back to servicesl my car in the near future.

Our car got stuck on R shift. We sent our car in on Wednesday. And we got our car back Friday afternoon. Chelsie picked me up from my house. I paid actually less than what we were quoted for originally. This shop will be my family's to go place for any car issues.

Get out your wallet. They will charge you a diagnostic fee, which is higher than most places, and they will charge you by the book on labor which is customary. But hold onto your hat when they start selling you parts. They charged to replace one coil pack the same amount of money it would cost to buy four of them. Most expensive, spark plug ever purchased. When I asked about it, I was told that that s just the way it is. I would not recommend the shop, unless you have plenty of disposable income And enjoy poor customer service Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I've been going to Chelsie's for many years and have always been pleased with the service. They have given good advice and haven't tried to upsell me to other services that weren't needed. I always like to see who is running a shop before I give them my business. Chelsie was working the counter when I came in for an estimate. He quoted me a fair price for a job I had started but didn't have time to finish. It sounds strange but he had grease under his fingernails and that showed me he was a hands on owner which made me trust him more. They seem like they do honest work for a fair price. Some other reviews complain about how much work was needed for their cars. Sounds to me like they had POS cars that were barely running in the first place and Chelsie was trying his best to fix it the right way instead of doing a patch up. A good mechanic is hard to find and I think I've found a whole shop of them at Chelsie's Automotive.Adding an edit 8 years after leaving this review because Chelsie's is still a trustworthy neighborhood mechanic. Got my motorcycle inspected in 15 minutes and was on the road again. Highly recommended!!

I dropped in to this place for a state inspection. They were courteous, prompt, and really good natured. I got there pretty early, and I was in and out before I knew it. Family run business. Mr. Chelsie was right there, and his son Bryan was also working the shop. I'm relatively certain this will be my "go to" moving forward.

Brian is great!! I was broke down on 183 at 4:30 when I called tow company they had to have an address to drop off my jeep I m not from Austin so I just went to the internet to see who was close and found Chelsea automotive called Brian he said I close at 5:00 but have them drop off in my parking lot. It was holiday weekend so I could not get back with him until Tuesday this was Thursday I called him Tuesday morning he said he had my jeep and would go ahead with the diagnostic on it then he would get back with me . An hour later he called with the problem , we made arrangements to get it taken care of , he took my payment over the phone done! He made it so easy and simple I have never seen him in person ! Consistently great work, my car always has a smoother ride and sound when I leave. Their prices are very reasonable - I compared them to some competitors and Chelsie's beat them by $30 minimum. The guys are great, the waiting room is comfortable, bring a book or your laptop and they'll be done before you know it.I would highly recommend their services to everyone. Haven't had an issue yet and I am confident that if there were an issue they wouldn't skirt around it or give me the runaround. I will be sad to lose them when I relocate out of state.

These guys have earned my loyalty. I took my car in after having to jump the car many times this week. I thought it was either a bad battery or bad alternator or worse. They ran diagnostics and proved that everything was working as expected. It looks like the connectors on the battery just got knocked loose. The guys at Chelsea's could have easily just recommended new parts and a lot of labor but they did not! I cannot recommend this place enough. They've been a god send on multiple occasions for our vehicle needs. They arent going to gouge you and always keep you up to date with every step.Brian in particular has been so great to work with even while we were dealing with a complicated insurance claim mess.We recently moved to the other side of town, but we know it is 100% worth the drive to Chelsies for any of our vehicle needs.

We have used Chelsie's Automotive A few times now and although getting car repairs is not cheap we always know that we are not being over charged or scammed. The staff is honest, friendly and very helpful.Today with fingers crossed I was hoping for a good outcome on the vehicle I brought in. Bryan was upfront with me and said that the repairs exceeded the worth of the car. Sadly, somehow I figured. He did not charge me to diagnose and I am so thankful!!!We will always trust and use Chelsie's in the future!!

I wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone. Brian exspecially was VERY rude with me over the phone and in person. Gave excuses left and right. If anyone go threw chelsie himself. I wouldnt call brian a mechanic at all! And the man dont smile. Dude work on your customer service.

Got my car inspected, no appointment. Office is pleasant, with seating spaced for social distancing. I observed them cleaning surfaces after each customer. Total time in lobby was @ 30 minutes. I'll definitely use them again.

As a young woman (who knows nothing about cars), I am weary of going to new shops. I took my car in bc it was having problems with the cooling system. They found the problem and quoted an $800 repair, but they went beyond that to test whether the overheating caused engine damage. They did find damage and recommended I get a new car, despite me being willing to pay for the repair. They only made $65ish dollars for looking at it. Great family shop that I fully trust.

Rarely in the automotive industry these days. Do you come across an honest well run Business, that epitomizes the words Customer Service. Not only did they recommend I pay a lower than anticipated cost, they mentioned that the higher option was not needed at this time.Chelsie and Bryan, you have won the customer loyalty prize with me. I look forward to many years of business!

I was told my oil change would be a 2 hours roughly so I dropped it off and came back 3 hours later! Once I finally got my car back there was a scratch on my door that wasn t there before. I called immediately to see if there was anything they would do since it had happened on their watch. Bryan wasn t really trying to lend any help or solution. Used to be my go to now definitely wouldn t recommend to any of my friends/family.

First review I ve ever left for a business. I regret coming here. Took my truck in to get the wheel hubs checked and I left with a broken door handle that wasn t broken prior to taking it in. I wasn t trying to scam Chelsie or his business, I don t think they took a sledge hammer to it, I don t think it was on purpose but it broke while it was in their care. I just wanted the handle to be fixed but the owner told me they weren t going to fix it at their expense. Wish I could give negative stars.

Our brakes suddenly started going out on Hwy 183 on our morning commute to work. We were able to roll to Chelsie's Automotive, before the brakes went completely out. Thankfully even though it was very early, the owner was just arriving and let us go inside to wait until they opened. Before long, our car was up on the lift, the problem was identified, and we were back on our way to work. And without paying an exorbitant price as I'm sure we would at some auto repair shops. The customer service was excellent. If we lived in the area, we would definitely use them for all of our automotive needs. Highly recommend!

Chelsie and his son were excellent. I had never been to them before, but called in for an emergency repair and was out the door with a working car within an hour(reasonable time for what was fixed). Due to no fault of theirs, the work took longer than I was quoted, but I was only charged for the time I was quoted and not the time it took. I should add that the way they chose to repair the car was wayyyyy more annoying for them but also quicker. My dealership and probably most mechanics would've taken the easy way out and removed the bumper and radiator to save them frustration at my own financial expense.

Great work and very friendly and professional. I have a 21 year old car and although it's seen better days, it''s still going and everytime I bring it in to Chelsie's my car is always better. Honest work at a fair price. I'll always come back.

They were quick to take our money to diagnose the car and then ghosted us on actually fixing it. Feel ripped off. We called several times and they would be like, let me call you right back, and then never call back.

I continually tell myself and Chelsies that I'm so glad they exist. I have, again and again, had honest, good work done by them- sometimes at no charge at all. They even let me watch them do all the work and explain it to me as they go, so I can learn from the repairs. They've told me to do certain easy things myself to save me from paying them, referred me to other places when they thought it'd be cheaper for me, and they've even done $50 of work for me for free. Chelsie and his whole staff (especially Shawn) are grade A quality team that I've grown to trust and respect. I send friends there all the time w/full confidence!
