You can't always go off of stars. I arrived at 11:30 AM. I should have been in and out. I was the only customer on-site. 2 workers there. One took a car out of the garage and left. The other worker was in a car chilling with a women. I waited 20 minutes and was never greeted. I left and went too Flashpoint inspection.

I called when I was in the front and Jorge answer almost immediately, he came out to my car and got straight to work! Really fast service for 20 bucks! Can t beat it

Went in for an inspection. Had two people in-front of me. No appointment. Waited about 10-20min and my car was in. Took a total of 5-8minutes for the inspection. Paid $18.xx. Quick. Simple. Would go back for future inspections.

I will be coming back here every year. Super fast and easy. Most of the people complaining seem to have other very specific businesses they d recommend not suspicious at all.

I love this place. Very efficient. I hope all the expensive building around St Elmo and Congress Ave doesn't make it too expensive for them to stay here. So convenient to where I live.

Had an oil change (full synthetic) and state inspection done on my vehicle this week. Took a stitch longer than originally estimated or I'd prefer, but nothing unreasonable or that I haven't experienced at one of the bigger chains. Overall service was excellent and the best pricing I've had in Austin! I will continue coming here for my oil changes and any potential future service needs.

I went to 4 other places for a state inspection, and none of them could do it and used stupid excuses. Capitan swooped in and saved the day! In and out quickly, and they were extremely professional and friendly. I'll be back for sure!

I will definitely be going back. On a Friday at 6pm every other shop said no he said yes. Quiet calm atmosphere exactly what you need after a hectic day. I'm glad the others said no cause I wouldn't have found it. I have recommended to everyone I know. Thank you so much I appreciate your service.

Last time I needed my state inspection I went to a bigger name place it was a hassle, especially for my boyfriend. So I was in need of a good place to go and this place delivered! So glad I went to Capitan Inspections because it was fast and easy. Only needed to wait for two other people in front of me who just needed to pay for their services. I will definitely be coming here the next time I need a state inspection or any other car service they provide.

I ve gotten my car inspected for several years and it was quick and easy but I have tried to get it inspected twice over the last few weeks and both times they were closed (or the gate was) during their stated open hours. Frustrating to not keep consistent hours.

They did a pre-purchase inspection for $20 bucks you can't beat that and he was very thorough I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend to other people because anywhere else you ask for that type of inspection they're going to charge you anywhere from 75 to $200 so I'll be back.

The parking lot has some seriously large potholes that can sneak up on you. And when I got to the business the doors were open, but no one was around. This was a few minutes after noon. Same thing happened last year when I tried to get a car inspected. I've learned my lesson. It's just so close to my house that I thought I would try again

It actually is ridiculous how good this place is... compared to every other place around town:The guy did everything needed in 5minutes. There was no waiting time,( I was the only one there, while every other place has an hour waiting time) It was cheap, he didn't add anything, no BS whatsoever. Just a passed inspection done right away. That's it: Fast and Good. Thank you!Service: Vehicle safety inspection

I was waiting in the 1 hour long line at Jiffy Lube for an inspection when I started Googling other places. Found this gem here and called to see if there was a wait and was told it would be about 20 minutes. Left Jiffy Lube, went to Capitan and was driving off (inspection completed) in about 30 minutes, from the time I drove away from Jiffy Lube. Great customer service and speedy service.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

Can't say enough nice things about Capitan! I was in and out super quick and the service was very friendly. I went to two other inspection places prior to this and both had over 1 hour long wait times that I just couldn't make work with my schedule. I was at Capitan 10 min tops. Definitely a hidden gem!

This was around the block from my husbands work, so I told him to go after he was off. He was able to pull right up, and 10 minutes later he was done. Very kind and helpful. Great price and service. Highly recommend.

Go to 509 St. Elmo and ignore Google's instructions to turn on Sheraton. Turn at a sign for Cen Tex Plating. Capitan is in the last building on the right.

Jorge is extremely respectful and punctual. He replaced my roof brake light for me so I could pass the inspection for a very fair price. I was in and out in 15 minutes. This is the place to go! Thanks again, Jorge!
