WOW! What a TEAM! Jerome and Austin were/are the best! They got my inherited 2007 Grand Marquis that had been parked for over ten years to almost brand new working condition. They were very knowledgeable, very patient and understanding of my needs. Thanks to Ben White Automotive my car passed inspection, registered and therefore street worthy again! I highly recommend BWA! Big shout out to Austin!

Jerome has been servicing my mother and I vehicles for over 8 years. Over the years he has been to several shops and we have followed him. Every auto shop and team he had the opportunity to create a professional environment to deliver Top Tier service and the rates have been very affordable. I recently took my vehicle to Toyota dealership due to my current vehicle is covered under warranty at that particular dealership which indicated I needed to replace the entire rear sway bar. Weeks later I took my car to Jerome and team it appeared I only needed my blots on the sway bar tighten. With gaining the second opinion Jerome and team saved me money and provided the correct diagnostic. If you anyone is ever in the Austin Area please stop by Ben White Automotive to have your vehicle service you will leave confident, trusting of Jerome and his team.

I came in for some maintenance and an inspection on my car before a trip. The service was friendly, fast, and seemed very thorough. So far, no complaints about how they took care of the car. I got a quick evaluation and estimate. I would rather pay a bit more and get the jobs done right. That said, no problems so far. They also picked me up from my place in order to pick up the car and pay my bill. The car runs smoothly. Are their prices higher than others? I m not sure, but ultimately I just want my car to be problem-free for as long as possible and service that is courteous and thorough. I had taken my previous car to another shop for regular maintenance and ultimately the car needed to be replaced because they never caught some serious issues. Ben White has great reviews and good service so I look forward to continuing with them as long as they continue to improve my car and catch small problems before they turn into big ones.

Do not believe the reviews here on Ben White Automotive. These place is a big money hustle. I took my car here because it was pulling to one side while going down the road. After looking at the car I was told that I would need to do over $3400 worth of repairs on the car before I had an alignment done. I did not believe the work that was suggested was all that complicated. I took the car to another mechanic and was told $1000 for labor and $300 in parts. In the end I looked on youtube what was involved with the work. I am not a mechanic but with some simple tools I was able to do the work myself having the car only on jack stands. The manager that gave me the quote is named Jerome. He is an African American with a lot of silver chains around his neck. He operates Ben White Automotive like a gangster. I do not trust the honesty of the managers in this facility and you should not either. Do not let this place hustle you out of your money. Get a second opinion before you sign off on any work to be done. Do not sign any work order until they look at the car and let you know what they will charge for the work..

Everyone was extremely kind and friendly. Very flexible on getting me in. I love the system they use. They look at your car then send you pictures and details of the work they recommend and you can decide from your phone what you would like done or not. No one hassling you in your face which makes it a way more comfortable experience. Also very quick service! 10/10 will return here I am very happy with my experience.

Jerome, the manager was fantastic. He listened to our concerns about the car. It s a 10 yr old car with 104k miles and was squeaking and shaking when it shouldn t be. They ran an entire analysis that shows everything that needs attention on the car with color coding that shows what can wait, and what needs to be done right now. We got to decide what to do now and what to do later. Jerome consulted with us on the phone and was extremely honest about what he thought was worth getting done now vs what could wait. The service was completed timely. Jerome even test drove the car after the work was completed to make sure our specific concerns were addressed to his expectations. I couldn t be happier with my experience!! My car drives like new again.I highly recommend Ben White Automotive! Great service, quality work, and fair prices.

Jerome was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to getting my 4runner right! They accept my extended warranty and Jerome took care of all the contacting and all. The text link that allows you to accept or deny work also made it super simple and easy. Highly recommend!

Ben White Automotive has proven multiple times to be straightforward and fair about pricing.The Howdy Honda near their old location wanted $1400 for a new starter + labor for a 2012 Honda Civic. BWA only needed $500 (without a diagnostic fee). I'll let you do the math.Their prices for oil changes and tire rotations are on level with other locations. When I needed brakes repaired and cleaned, it was $300 cheaper than the next guy. Plus a kind discount for Uber/Lyft drivers.Zero problems after repairs, great service, and their only flaw so far is that they are quite busy, so wait time is a little high (a couple hours). Worth it, in my opinion.Give them your business.

Bought an older car and wanted a thorough inspection of it, esp. the suspension. This was also my first convertible. They came back with an immediate need for tie rod ends and motor mounts.Much quieter up front and also cured a nasty pull to the right. As this is a long term project, I m sure I will be back. Very happy with their service.

I had a fantastic experience with the team here for my brake pad/rotor replacement. Jerome took a look at my entire car, helped me determine what I needed now vs what to expect over the next few months, and even helped me make sure I was getting the best pricing after calling a few other spots around town. The repairs were done same-day and another team member, Austin, was able to shuttle me home while the work was done. I will absolutely be back for future repairs!

Austin at the front desk was awesome and knowledgeable. It was my first time at this location and he walked me through the process and answered all my questions. I was in and out of the shop in about 50minutes for a full oil change and regular maintenance check. The bonus was that I booked online and made the appointment just the night before and was all done by early the next morning. Will definitely be returning here!

Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. But most importantly the price was beyond fair and I was out of there in a timely manner (quicker than anywhere else I ve been). I was impressed to say the least. I found my new spot, highly recommended!!

About 6 months ago my regular mechanic wasnt able to do a pinion seal replacement for a ford ranger. I searched around my location for an established good reputation mechanic to do the work. I liked the reviews i found for Ben White automotive and i used them for this service. I received prompt service and great customer service on cashout! I will use them again for sure!

I was out of town when my daughter went to use my suburban. She found the temperature gauge going to almost completely hot, and the heater would not work. She brought the car into Ben White in the morning. The next day they had the diagnosis, fixed the suburban within hours for her to pick it up that afternoon. I would never consider using another auto mechanic other than Ben White.

After a vehicle collision in Austin (far from home), I found myself in despair and needing a nearby automotive shop to diagnose the problem and replace a bent drive axl and ball joint. No local shop would take me. Jerome and Austin of Ben White Automotive took me in and fixed the problem quickly, correctly, and provided me references and alternatives for auto body repair. They were very kind and reassuring of their help. I will travel to their shop in Austin for future automotive needs. Thank you Jerome/Austin!

This is the most competent and fair place I ve ever taken my car to. My first time with them, they were able to diagnose and fix an issue the dealership couldn t solve and charged me an insane amount for - and they did it for a very fair price. Today I came in to get my blinker bulb replaced and they did it for me for free! You definitely won t overpay when you come here, and they ll treat you well. Brought in my wife's Fiat 500 as it had a decent oil leak. Was greeted by Austin at the front desk and met Scott who did a thorough inspection of the car. Turned out that the vacuum pump gasket failed and was leaking oil. Hoses were saturated with oil so Scott recommended to replace them too as they were swollen up and ready to pop. Scott did a great job cleaning up the engine and replaced the vacuum pump, gasket, hoses, and coolant. Thanks for the communication throughout the repair and for the speedy service. Wouldn't hesitate to bring back the Fiat for future work.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

If I could give less than a star I would. I called up Ben White automotive and told them my truck is rough idling and and talked to Austin who was very polite and helpful, told him the truck stalls when goeing under 5 mph and rough idle. I also told him that I purposely drained the oil out of it bc I did an moto flush and I got the wrong oil filter there for I didn't have enough oil to fill it back up, therefore I told them to do an oil change on it for me as well as an engine inspection. I wait a day and get a report on there app or whatever and it is quite obvious that they saw the yellow residue on the oil cap, which was left by the moto flush, and tried telling me there was moisture in my engine and said the dipstick was dry when it came in... NO $#&$#, they then try telling me I need a new engine. So I call them and some dude name Jerome answered and when I told him my story he tried belittling me and saying why wouldn't you put oil in it? Idk Jerome how tf am I supposed to get the oil? Fly to the autozone? What a joke of a place. I told them to not touch my truck and that it will be collected the next day. I take it to another mechanic and guess what!? It's just a FUEL FILTER. Don't take your vehicle to these clowns. They have no clue what they are doing. Engine inspection means you INSPECT THE GD ENGINE.Update** I'm driving my truck. Guess what, it was just a maf sensor. This place is sorry, don't waste your time/money

Seriously the best place to go in Austin. My engine went out and they really took care of me with a lot of nice extras for it taking time to fix. They worked with my warranty company to get everything completely covered. Thank you Randy for being so awesome. This mechanic shop is amazing. Randy always makes me feel comfortable in knowing my car will run well. I like the team and they do amazing work. Our 2012 Cadillac CTS needed the rack and pinion and power steering pump replaced. Ben White Automotive did a great job on the repairs. They also replaced the alternator and battery. I had an issue here for an appointment I made, when I arrived the manager I m used to, Randy, wasn t there. I was told by the MOD my car would be ready in an hour. About 3 hours later I tried to call but unfortunately the website had incorrect numbers. I decided to walk there and see what was happening. When I got there Randy was there, who has always made me feel welcome and valued. He told me my car had not even been taken back to be serviced yet. I was extremely frustrated and this made the flippant way I was treated during drop off even worse to me. I just left with the intention of not going there anymore which made me super bummed as I d had great experience there multiple times and it s in the neighborhood. Well Randy called me and apologized (even though it wasn t his fault) and offered to take care of my car at no charge the next business day. I will be returning for all my car needs and I ll make sure he s there! He is the kind of employee that a business owner should bend over backwards to keep. It s rare to find customer service that is through and genuine and Randy has both.
