Literally the last straw with this shop. They looked the car over and said they couldn t find what my wife said. She had the relook at the car, and they said they found a leaking head gasket (which is common in these cars). He tried to get my wife to replace it for $2300 and she said no. She had the battery and a window regulator replaced instead they didn t do anything until my wife called and checked on the car. When we showed up it was a grand in labor for the two parts. We ve used this shop multiple times, and every time my wife deals with them, they up-charge everything. $652 in labor just for a window regulator!!Definitely feel like we got taken advantage of when we decided to not have them fix something they wanted to charge for.

I had terrible experience with them!! I wish I could give them ZERO star!!!!!First, my car s check engine light was on. So I called them and made an appointment. I dropped my car off at 8 am(that s the earliest time) on the day that I had an appointment. They said they will call me in the afternoon but they never called me back! I needed my car next day so I called them around 4pm and they didn t even check my car yet!!!!!! I told him I need to get my car back NOW. And he said I ll call you back. Never!!!They never called me back! So I called them again. And they said they are working on it and call me back. Of course nobody called me back. It was 5 pm. So I decided to go get my car back. That s already terrible. But not done yet.Second, the website says free estimate . It s not true. They cost me over $300 with nothing fixed!!!!!! (Jiffy rube did same thing for FREE!!) Also he said will sand me the results and more information. NEVER!!!!! I called them so many times. And still not getting any email, estimate or information. I can t believe it. I wasted my time and money. It s just terrible!!! I need my money back!!

I've been here a few times to get work done for my 2009 Mercedes. Josh and the team have been great to work with. Very transparent, and will go the extra mile (no pun intended) on getting things properly done. I had the engine light come on again after my 1st visit, and they got that squared away and stood true to their work.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Thank you for all your good work. I'll be coming back for more. Josh worked with my warranty company to get my busted sunroof working again. It would have been $4k+, but thankfully I only paid $375. Repairs took a week to complete. They put a few very nice smelling car scent squares under the seats. I'm not a fan of the Mercedes "fresh rain shower" scent. I prefer the smell of leather or a nice cologne. Anyway, it's nice to have my C43 back with a functioning sunroof.

I have a slightly older high end Mercedes and Ben's Workshop has taken great care of my car. They have deep knowledge and have diagnosed and repaired complex issues. It's also nice to frequent a local business. Highly recommended

I had to have my transmission replaced on my Mercedes E350. It was a very expensive repair at $8,000.00. I was referred to Ben s Workshop and from the moment I walked in I had a good feeling about the facility. Eddie greeted me and he was absolutely phenomenal throughout the entire experience. They know their stuff at Ben s Workshop. Thank you so much Eddie and the entire team at Ben s for keeping me on the road.

Ben's is the Best! If you want your car fixed right the first time and without issue than trust Bill and his team. I was traveling and had an issue with my Mercedes and was forced to take it to the Dealer. They charged me a lot and didn't even fix the actual problem. Ben's fixed the car in record time and had me back on the road. I trust Ben's more than the Dealership and the prices are much better. Faster Service, Better Prices, Go with Ben's. Loyal Customer for more than 5 years.

THE place to take your classic (or newer) German car for all kind of repairs. They go above and beyond in customer service, with good and honest communication. Highly recommended.

Owner-operated top notch repair shop specializing in Mercedes and BMW. A dozen bays with a large parts department. The place is immaculate. They turned my Benz service around in a few hours. 5 stars!

Fantastic all around experience for a BMW oil-change and general inspection. Front office staff are highly knowledgeable and friendly, which made the whole service experience very smooth. Prices were reasonable as well. Will definitely return!

Bens Workshop was recommended to me by a Mercedes main dealership. As a returning customer I have counted on this business for many years now and am grateful for all the service s provided. In these extraordinary times I feel the need to wish all the staff at Bens Workshop the very best and perhaps mention to those people finding themselves wondering whether you should , yes , you should. You really are in excellent hands .Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

Poor service and experience all around. I brought my 1975 450 SL in because it wouldn t start. It was there for two months, probably just sitting outside. In the 2 months it was there I played phone tag. They performed services that they thought would fix my car. I constantly tried to get ahold of manager for updates with no calls back. I would get ahold of him every now and then with little information and acted dumbfounded at why the car wasn t starting. And finally he said, we just don t know what s wrong, but before we go any further you need to pay your bill. They wouldn t continue to work on my car until I paid them. Paid them for things they did to my car that did not work.I paid them 2k and I got it towed to another shop and they fixed it in two weeks. The shop I took it to knew what the problem was almost immediately and fixed it in a timely manner. No one cared that I got it towed to another shop. Manager didn t even try to talk to me. They just threw me the keys and said take the tow truck to the back.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Took my G550 in with a tire cover issue. Within minutes a techinician was pulling my vehicle to the back and had it back to me with the issue resolved. Now that is great service! The lobby and staff are awesome with great snacks and reads! When it's not a dealership required fix, I will be at Ben's!!

Not sure what happened to this wonderful institution. It used to be so friendly and efficiently run. But now there's always bad communication, rude service and unnecessary delays. I went in to get my rearview mirror fixed. The owner said they needed special glue and it would be in the next day. Over a week later no one knows where the glue is or if it has been ordered. And the lady who answers the phone snapped how she's doing me a big favor by just looking into the matter. The last time I had work done it was a big ticket and the team was equally impolite and unclear. Sad, the old team was amazing and it was always a pleasure.

If you own a Mercedes or BMW, you know what it is like to have a deep emotional relationship with a delicate and sophisticated machine. We own two, my newer E350 and my wife's older R350. Wouldnt trust them to anyone else. The minute my factory warranty came off my car, right to Ben's. They have kept my wife's R350 with over 160,000 miles running like a champ for years. The service and staff are great, they know what they are doing clearly, on these very complex machines, and the price is about HALF of what you will pay at the dealership. If you need more than that, will let you borrow a sawed off Smart car while they are working on yours. Wouldnt trust anyone else with my baby. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Had DEF light on and was going thru fluid extremely fast. Ben's run a diagnostic and changed a sensor. I was asked to take it out and drive it for 30 minutes. Brought it back for them to recheck. I told them I thought it I was still burning DEF too fast. The shop manager assured me it was fixed. Paid $1600 repair bill and left to continue our trip to Seattle. Got out on the interstate and within 20 miles, same problem of going though DEF too fast, even smoking out the exhaust. Could not go back to spend more time and money. I don't think they knew how to diagnose the system and lied to me to get me gone as they knew I wouldnt be back. Fixed in Seattle, was told they changed the wrong sensor Would not recommend this shop.Services: Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

The only place I will take my BMW. They are fast, kind and always helpful. Ryan goes above and beyond. I would recommend Bens to anybody wanting a honest and reliable mechanic. They will even pick you up or drop you off if you live within a reasonable distance.

Ben's Workshop is the standard bearer for quality customer service, excellence in workmanship, and customer satisfaction. After decades of driving BMW, I have been extremely pleased with the home that my Mercedes enjoyes at Ben's Workshop. The best of both worlds is now available since BMW has been added to the service line. If a service relationship is the key, Mr. Morey and his team unlocked the door in the auto repair space.

Once again, Bill and his terrific staff saved me $$$ in needless repairs that I was quoted elsewhere. I live about 90 minutes from Ben's and tried to go local. Had a quote that I really wanted to know if it was really all necessary. Called Bill and he got me right in the next morning. He even drove somewhere to get a part so that I would have my car for my upcoming trip. I love these guys and their honesty. Not to mention their hard work. Thanks, Bill!

Replaced the head unit in my car and was not getting any sound out of the speakers. I was unsure of even bringing it in but decided to anyway for lack of a better option. Instead of telling me that they probably would not be able to fix it they kept my car for 3 days and charged me $600. This was because they claimed the technician had to read the instructions which I left for him and had to watch a video on YouTube. In the end all he did was disconnect the wires to the head unit and reconnect them. Maybe get an oil change here...beyond that I would go somewhere else.

I have a Mercedes ML 500 (SUV) Bill M and his troops at Ben's Works -are the ONLY ONES that I trust my FINE AUTOMOBILE with in the AUSTIN. I carry around several of Ben's Work's business cards to give them to other Mercedes and BMW owners that I chat up with while pumping Gas. I tell why they should avoid certain "Mercedes Service Outfits" and why Bill M and Ben's Works will treat them better. SERVICE STARTS AND ENDS AT BEN'S WORKS.

The Saga!!! I bought a good E-350 for my birthday/CHRISTmas present a year ago. Overall the car is a good car. Not because it is a Benzzz. It is a good car that just needed some work done!! Long story short I will NEVER EVER go to anyone shop other than Bens Workshop. From the very first phone call that was answered on the other end (Natalie) THANK you for being down to earth. Bill the driver knows good to mediocre food (thank you for the humor and conversation on the ride into the shop) The owner quote unquote (We are all are owners in some aspect) took the time to say Hello. I could go on and on about Bens Workshop. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!!!Psalm;23

Professional, thoroughly knowledgeable. Resolved the mechanical issues in a very reasonable amount of time. Final cost outcome was below their original estimate.

It's hard to give a service organization any positive reviews when one continues to spend money with no results. The big caveat used is no guarantee we've fixed the problem. That should be a warning to anyone considering this place. I believe we take our cars in to be fixed. Ben's thinks we take our cars in to pay them money. The objectives are misaligned.

Actual labor by tech David very good. My problem is the attitude and professionalism at front desk. Courtesy car driver was pulled over due to shop car being out of inspection, no insurance either AND the driver was taken to jail by police leaving my wife on the sidewalk.NO apology or concern for what just happened. Front desk comment, " Well that wasn't what we had planned. " Even when our car was picked up, another front desk person was still defending a bad situation and did NOT offer an apology. Just excuses.DONE WITH BEN'S WORKSHOP ... I will miss David the mechanic who is awesome.

Absolutely the best in town when it comes to Mercedes-Benz. Eddie is a really nice guy and made the entire process super easy. 5 stars all the way.
