My two-month old RAV4 hybrid had system failures pictured here. I took my car in for service where a replacement part was ordered on 9/28 with 2 to 3 week lead time. It has been 12 weeks now. No part has been received, no service person has called me. When I called Efrain he said all new parts are going into new cars and he gave me the corporate phone number to call and open a case. My car still has system failures, who knows if it will ever be fixed? It is drivable - just lacks working safety systems.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I went in to sell back my car and possibly trade in. They pulled up a car for me to look at and I knew it wasn t right - they said no problem and just helped me with selling back my car. No hassling. No pushing. No sales. They were so nice and respectful! I worked with Eric and Emily and they were amazing. In and out in 1.5 hours.

I have to say...I haven't been the happiest in the past with this dealership. But since I've owned my Tundra...they have been fantastic! I also know there was some management changes within the past couple years. I want to highlight Efrain in the service dept.. He has always been straight up and honest with me. He listens to my concerns and addresses them with a sense of importance and urgency. As long as I own a Toyota, I will continue to use this dealership! Check them out! You won't be disappointed, especially since they fired the past GM!

Brand new 2024 Corolla was sold to me without inspection. It has a broken driver seat belt and they didn't put plugs in the underside of the car. Stressful and frustrating but they did get me sorted. I wouldn't want to get anything else done here bc everyone points to everyone else, sending you in circles. No unified messaging and definitely squirmy about taking responsibility for negligence. I was overjoyed they got this fixed quickly, but they had at least 30 people in the waiting area by 8:30am on a Tuesday, so this place isn't fast moving.Edit to add: i spent the entire day prior to the service appt. calling people, getting different stories, asking to talk to a manager, being told I would get a call back. Nobody ever called me back. At least 5 separate staff said they would have a manager call back and never did. I left at least 6 voicemails. The canned response to this review is insulting. I had already called that generic "GM" phone line on Monday bc I already saw it on another review. Check your voice messages, emails, text messages. It's pretty clear which one is me. I am the one who was extremely angry about the brand new Corolla w a broken seat belt --- or have you sold that many new cars w defects that you don't know which buyer I am??

They take forever to do anything. Don t provide updates. I waited ten minutes to even be seen when I first arrived and I was on time. I just feel like every time I come here it s an exercise in waiting patiently. You never know what s going on and you re stuck in that damn waiting room hoping for someone to say something to you. They should develop some sort of updating system that tells you where your car is in terms of maintenance. Like is it being seen? Is it almost over? Has it just begun? I hate complaining but I think what should take like 15-20 minutes ends up taking hours. And that s just not respectful of people s time. I set aside at least two hours whenever I come here. Because minimum that s how long it takes. I have to come in on the weekend or when I had a job that was flexible enough to let me come during the week. The fact that they have onsite work stations just tells you that you re going to be waiting a while. I don t blame the service technicians cause they work hard, I blame the operations and the way things are run.

Very easy to make an appointment. Received email reminders. Drop off was quick, easy and friendly. We expected the car to be there for hours. But we heard from them in less than 45 mins with their recommendations and costs besides what we brought it in for. The car was ready 1.5 hrs later and we received a full report, itemized bill and pictures. Pick up was quick and easy as well

I waited 4 hours for an abbreviated maintenance for which I had an appointment. The time before I waited over 3 hours. They did a no charge on the oil change because of the wait which I appreciated. Wait time used to be an hour. My son reported a similar experience. I don t know what changed but it needs to be addressed. I am not complaining about the service adviser who was professional but hire more staff. If the wait is over an hour, tell the customer why and what to expect.

I bought my first car from AutoNation a month ago. Though the purchasing process went fine, the service afterwards is way below par. I let the first 2 incidents go, but this last one was ridiculous. I received a message my car tags were ready to be picked up. When I went to get them they offered me a car wash while there. Of course I said yes. I didn't have to wait too long bc they didn't seem to be busy then. When the guy brought my car back and I got in, I could barely see out of my passenger windows. I got out and walked around, ran my finger across it and it was completely greasy. I asked the guy what was all down my car and he simply responded 'I have no idea', then sat down in his chair and started playing on his phone. I immediately left bc as with my past poor experience with AutoNation I did not want to waste my energy with them anymore. When I got home it took me over 20 mins to get the greasy substance off of my car as it was spreading and wouldn't come off easily. How do you get a car wash and it come back dirtier?! I totally get the possibility of a malfunction with the car wash itself, but for this guy to not even walk over to my car to look at the mess, nor make any effort to rectify the situation is pure laziness and absolutely poor service!!!

Came in with an appointment with Eric Cruz today. Very nice guy, easy going and knew what he was doing. Upon discussing my options to get my truck and trade my old one, Eric allowed me ample time to talk things over with whoever i needed to without pressuring me into anything. Big shout out to Alfredo for meeting me at the offer i desired for my trade in value and getting me into a tundra at last!!

My service contact person was very nice and there was team work. However, I got oil change and was to have my license plates put on and registration sticker. When my car was finished I noticed registration tag wasn t there, they had to track it down and put on. I would have had to return had I not noticed. Also, didn t put new maintenance sticker on window, still has old one. And my maintenance required soon light is coming on, did they not do the service I paid for or was it another checklist item overlooked? As mentioned these should all be item easily checked off.

Very unprofessional and unaccommodating. My boyfriend dropped his vehicle off nearly a week and a half ago and there was next to no communication for the first few days. The service advisor assigned to him hardly ever answered the phone, when asking for updates she met him with hostility and rudeness. When asked to speak to a manager she refused to transfer his call. We had to eventually call the corporate office to get ANY answers. Our claims adjuster also could not get ahold of the service advisor which has further put him off on having a car. She assumed he had a rental so she admitted that she wasn t in a rush which why would that matter? We have finally TODAY gotten his truck transferred to San Marcos Toyota after one failed attempt to pick up the truck. I would do zero stars if I could, I do not recommend this place. The one saving grace was Eric, the service manager, once we were connected with him he gave excellent customer service.

The repair was fine but don t expect service or respect from this place. After 4 hours and still no oil change or inspection of my driver s seat issue, I had to take my car back to eat go and then get on with my day.I rescheduled with Chris for 7:30 am to be sure it didn t take more than 2 hours and again, 4 hours later again I want to know where my car is! Chris is waiting to hear back from the warranty company while I m late for my day! Again I had to ask for my car back so I could get on with my business. The car hadn t even been washed, though I specifically asked him to do that. No one is trying to save my business at this point or any other time.Chris texted the next day that the warranty work was approved and it would take 3-4 hours. He checked that there would be a shuttle available for me and told me to come at 7:30 a.m.When I arrived, Chris wasn t there, I was not on the schedule, and the shuttle didn t start until 8 o clock. Danny was now my service manager and he knew I was irate. He assured me I would be taken care of. The shuttle didn t even call for us until 8:15. Customer s time is not a priority at all.To add insult to injury, they held my car hostage! I heard nothing from Danny all day. I called him at the end of my work day to find out the status of my car at 5:45 PM and he had to call me back because he didn t know! He left a message that my technician was leaving for the day, my car was disassembled, and it would be reassembled in the morning. I was left completely stranded! The next morning I started texting and calling Danny at 8 a.m. When I didn t hear back from him by 9:00 I texted and called, Chris to see if he knew the status of my car. Crickets. At 10:00 a.m.I called the service manager for the department, Mickey Hadley and left him a message, demanding to know the status of my car. He never called me back. No one there cared about keeping my business.20 minutes later I get a simple text from Danny that my car is ready and come to his office. No one cared that my car was held hostage or that I was stranded. All I got were reasons and no sincere apology or effort to keep my business was made.If you respect yourself and your time, do NOT use AutoNation Toyota South Austin.

Terrible service! I scheduled a simply oil change appointment 04/03 at 10 am, i waited at the dealership for my vehicle and it was about to be 12:30 pm and i asked for updates and my advisor only told me that my car was barely getting into the shop being said i had 2 hours and half waiting and wanted me to wait approximately an 1hr plus, if having an appointment was taking so long i cant imagine how much time you need to wait if you do walk in!

I ve gone two times for a tire patch/oil change, and I ve spent a total of 12hrs waiting on 2 visits. No exaggeration. This last time they even tried marking up the cost of everything and then tried to drop the cost after seeing I was upset about it. While the service on the car is great, the extremely long wait times and marking up the cost is unacceptable. I will not be coming back here ever. 7.5hrs for a tire alignment, patch, and oil change, and they tried to charge $330 for that then dropped it to $280

I scheduled my vehicle for service, thinking I could get one last complimentary oil and filter change under the service agreement I got when I purchased the vehicle. While I was under the 5K mileage I thought it could be done and when I scheduled my appointment the scheduler did not advise me that the service would not change oil because I did not meet the 5K limit. So, I drove 45 min to the garage only to be told that my oil wouldn t be changed and I was recommended to spend around $500 to service some manufacturers recommended items. I was given a complimentary fluids check and tire rotation. This service location continues to disappoint. The lounge is crowded, there are no refreshments other than some coffee; it s just a substandard experience overall.

My service advisor Erik was excellent to work with. He got me in and out of service quickly based on my simple request for oil change and tire rotation. He also gave me a heads up on the future condition of my brakes and battery.

I dropped by Toyota off for service after the computer flagged an issue. The service department quickly diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. It took a while for the part to come in, but that's not the dealership's fault. What's important is that during that time Paul (my service advisor) kept me informed as to when they expected the part and how quickly they could get it installed, and he kept his word. Great communication and experience.

I wish I could give negative stars. There are rows of cars line up with one tech checking people in. Inside at least 20 employees are standing around drinking coffee. Check people in and let them get back to what they need to be doing and then stand and chat. Or maybe multitask?! This shop is a joke. They price gouge and take their swwwweeeeeet time to do anything.

Terrible service from Alejandro Soto. Waited nearly 2 hrs for an oil change service. When I went to inquire about my car, he had disappeared, and I was told that he had gone for lunch. My car keys were sitting on his desk. No communication, no update, while I sat in the waiting room, a few meters away. I also would have liked to have had some lunch and to get back to my work place. Completely disrespectful of my time. I would never treat a client / customer in such an unprofessional manner. On a separate point, when I took my car in, it had 11433 mileage. Somehow, when I get back into my car, the mileage has gone up by 3 miles! So somebody there did a mini Ferris Bueller. Very untrustworthy location.

I took my car in for an Oil Service, and had Isabella H. for my Service advisor. It was quick without an appointment. She completed the invoice at the end which had a surprise extra add-on (Motor Oil Treatment). She said Toyota REQUIRES the oil treatment add-on, (without asking the customer) which is unheard of. So, a standard oil change will now include an additional Required add-on of oil treatment ($22.99).I contacted a friend who s a service advisor, who said oil treatment add-on are at the request of the customer.

Josh Totty made this experience very pleasant for me. He was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was my first time going to AutoNation Toyota to get my car serviced, and I will definitely be back.

First time at this dealership and the service was great. Everyone that I spoke with was a professional. My only problem is what happened to the tech talking with you face to face about what your car or truck needs. Now its all done by text, even paying the bill.

A 2.5 hour wait despite having an appointment is very frustrating. I asked on the phone how long it would take and they had no idea, when I got there it was over 2.5 hours. They definitely over bookAlso they didn t check my tire pressure even though I asked and they said they did. Which is fine and easy to do myself, but don t lie to me about it. My tire pressure light came on probably three minutes after leaving the lot for a service check lol

It's my first car in the US, and my experience with AutoNation Toyota South Austin was positive. When making a purchase, it's essential to be well-prepared, knowing exactly what you want and what to check to avoid potential defects.I want to express my appreciation for Patrick L, from the Sales team. who was exceptionally supportive and attentive to our needs throughout the process.

I have had service to my car 3 times now. The first two were done within an hour, no problem. I wouldn t choose to come but it s a part of the deal when I bought my car that my services are free for two years. I waited 5 hours today. When I showed up 15 minutes before my 9:30 appointment there were 4 people in the lobby. I didn t get back in my car until 2, and my service provider was MIA around noon when I asked for my keys back to reschedule. At that point they finally got my car in when I questioned why it has been sitting in the parking lot. I watched so many people who showed up after me leave before me with very little communication with the team.

A couple of weeks ago AutoNation calls me to tell me they have a set of free windshield wipers for my Prius and they would install them. Great! I call back to see if I need to make an appointment, etc. and told I just need to show up. I told her I'd be there Wednesday. I show up and although staff put the cone on my car, asked me what service I needed etc. no one every came by with the wipers. I asked the first guy who helped me and he just kind of shrugged. Another service attendant came by and acted like he was the first person I spoke with, I explained the deal with him, he disappears. I get out of my car, look around, no one makes eye contact, etc. Another guy from presumably the service area asked if I was the person with the wipers and that the guy who install them is out delivering and isn't there (like there is only 1 person at the center who knows how to replace wipers?). He suggests I go inside and pick up my replacement wipers. I go inside and no one knows what I'm talking about. Finally, as I step outside the second service guy comes with the replacement wipers, my name on the packaging and installs them. After I finally got home my husband tells me the service center called his cell number to let him know they had the replacements and he told them I was there. I don't know what is happening with communication at the service center but it was a big fail the day I visited. I guess they can handle the routine stuff more easily... but they're the ones who initiated my visited. Strange.

Schedule an appointment for 7:45 a.m. to get my oil changed. I agreed to have the radiator flushed also since it had been a long time. I expected it to be no more than 2 hours with the radiator flush, also since normally it's only been about 1 - 1 1/2 hrs for an oil change. 3 hours later, they tell me I have two small leaks which did not have to be fixed right now and I chose to forgo those repairs. He told me my car then was just about ready and be a few more minutes. An hour later I go to ask where my car is and they finally brought it to me. Driving home I noticed that my oil pressure gauge is still low. I get home and let my car cool off for 30 - 45 minutes. I check the oil and none shows on the dipstick, so now I know that the one thing I took it in for and 4 hours later it was not done. I called them they did have a tow truck come and pick it up and I assumed that they would be bringing it back but no I had to wait for the next day for a driver to come pick me up and I had to go back and get it. I called the managers three times and at least two of their staff left the messages on my behalf also, and neither one of them, Keith nor Greg, bothered to ever call me back. Good thing I had my other truck to go to work. After 20 years of doing business with them, I don't think I'll bother the next time. I will add, Alex S. my service manager this time, was extremely kind and patient.

I have owned a Honda for almost a decade and have been very pleased. However, I wanted to make a switch since Toyota is also very reliable and has great warranty as well. Danny was our salesman. He was very professional. Danny helped us get the vehicle I wanted. However, I can t say the same thing about finance department. That was a different experience and we were not pleased.

I recently bought a RAV4 from AutoNation Toyota South. I've bought 7-8 cars there over the years and had great experiences; however, this was a horrible one. The sales person, Joseph, was "slick." He offered free additions, then would remove them when the trade in value increased. He stated that due to me trading in a leased car, I'd have to go with that company. It was a higher finance rate than the company I was going to use. When questioned, he said his manager told him it was in the fine print. (Since then I've spoken with the financing company I was forced to use and found out that was erroneous information. Although erroneous I was unable to change or have finance rate decreased. I will change at a later date)Joseph also did not show me how to use the multimedia system very well. I had to return to the dealership where Konstantin assisted me, being very patient. The Ready depth took almost an entire day before I could pick up my new car. It took multiple calls and I was told that the new car salesmanager had to intervene. Ridiculous!!After getting the car home, I found I couldn't open the trunk and had to call and be told how to set up the trunk to open it. Again shoddy work.I reviewed this transaction previously and was told by the reviewer, I'd receive a call. Never received a call.At this point I doubt I'll return there for new cars, even though I bought numerous cars for me and my family over the past 20+ years. I've also highly recommended them, but doubt now.I do recommend the service depth and will return there as I trust Art Gomez yo provide excellent service.
