Quality service all the way around! Ken is it! Rims look brand new! Camera on my phone is busted or else I would supply photos, trust when I say, they look brand new! Such a better deal to fix rims vs buying new and it s awesome to support a local business. Thank you, Ken!!!

I recommend Ken with no reservations. Excellent welder. My Panamera wasn t driving quite right. My mechanic suspected this was related to some dents he saw on my wheels. Reached out to German Auto, who recommended Ken.Called on a Wednesday, scheduled for Thursday, picked it up on Friday, just in time for a road trip.Car drives nice and smooth like it s supposed to, and for a great price. If you need your wheels replaced in Austin, go here.Final comment. Maybe I m old school, but I quite liked Ken s company and demeanor. We stood around for 30m after my car was done talking fast cars and old times. He didn t waste a lot of time on the phone when we scheduled, and I think as a solo business owner, he juggles a lot of balls to turn around jobs quickly. This guy s cool, trust.

Bent rim fixed with 24hrs. I was told I d need a new rim and new tire by a dealership. The owner advised my tire is fine and the rim could be fixed no problem. Been about 3 weeks with no further issues, saving me hundreds. The owner absolutely rocks and went above expectations. Coming here for any and all future rim repair needs.

Ken (Owner) is a Blue Collar man. Sure he s rough around the edges but knows his trade in and out and does AMAZING work !!! He was able to get me in on a moments notice and had an amazing turnaround of only 24 hours which is unheard of these days. My repair was a crack on my wheel after hitting a pot hole at night. My wheels are extremely hard to get and getting a new one was not an option. Ken took his time to take extra precautions not to damage the wheel during removal and reinstalling and when I picked it up it looked like i just took it out of the box. He didn t have to clean the wheel but he takes pride in his work and pride on making your wheels and their repair story an extension of his business and skill set. I will 100% refer him to everyone I know that is in need of his service and I am definitely a life long customer!

Ken at Austin Wheel Repair does an amazing job. I went to him because I had two scraped rims on my stock 2015 Kia K900. Since they were chrome painted, no other shop could help me out. I called up Ken, he said he could sand them down and repaint them to match and install and balance the tires I had just ordered, all for under $800. To replace the rims alone would have cost that. We decided to play around with colors and came up with a grey-black look, which I like much more on the car than the regular chrome look. Ken may not have the fanciest shop in the best part of town, but he does great work in a decent amount of time and will work with you on the price. I've paid close to $400 in the past to get one rim fixed on a BMW, so compared, his pricing is great. I would definitely recommend him, especially if you have a job that other shops can't fix. I would definitely go back to him in the future (hopefully not lol) to fix curb rash or to put tires on. Give him a call.

Honestly, I had my concerns when leaving my car to get the work done bc of his location but I'm glad I did the work done to my wheels was great! Instead of buying new black Denali wheels for my 2021 Yukon I decided to have my wheels refinished to save time and money. The level of work that Ken applied to my wheels was great and I couldn't be happier, I 100% recommended him for whatever your wheel needs may be. Ken did a spectacular job truing up my bent forged wheel and refinishing the set to a beautiful Gunmetal grey finish.All 4 wheels refinished, balanced, and mounted, and i had my car back in less than 48 hours.Hopefully I don't need this service again, but I would not hesitate to return to this business for wheel repair/refinish

I went here to get volvo 21 inch wheel fixed. It was damaged badly and i had no hope that it will get fixed. Once i got the wheel back i was shocked. It was almost like he replaced my wheel with a brand new one. Highly recommend!

Absolutely blew me away! I am very meticulous about my car. I had my Stance Wheel repaired here and I cannot even TELL where the repair is. My wheel is a custom, semi gloss bronze. Hard to match....but...It matches the other wheels PERFECTLY! Do yourself and don't go anywhere else.

Ignore the bad reviews. If you want someone to talk nice to you on the phone and make you feel good....there are other services for that.This man is busy working and running his shop himself.And the work he does is absolutely fantastic. He saved me several THOUSAND dollars from having to replace an entire set of off road rims. He immediately recognized and diagnosed a problem that several other tire and rim shops missed. He fixed the rim and made it like brand new again. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone with a rim problem, and will absolutely be using his services again should I ever have need to.Service: General repairs & maintenance

In a recent rainstorm, I encountered a soccer ball size rock that had fallen from a cliff on 2222. My front right wheel took the rock and instantly lost all air and upon removing it, I could see that the wheel was bent in which caused the tire to deflate. I brought the wheel to AWR around 11am Wednesday and it was literally better than new when I picked it up at 4pm Thursday. Would highly recommend these folks if you have a similar situation! (PS. I forgot to take after-images but the wheel really is as good as new and I'm thinking of having my other 3 cleaned by these folks so they all match.)

Go here if you live in Austin, trust me! I took my 2022 Tesla Model X here from downtown Austin Texas. The area the shop is in is a manufacturing yard but he will only take your vehicle if there s space in his shop and it s safely stored. Service turn around was less than 24 hours. Honest, humble, and a bargain in cost for 10/10 quality. Will come back again if needed.

Excellent work! We brought our Range Rover in, and the rims were in bad shape. After the work was completed, the vehicle looked brand new! Highly recommended, and great quality. Came out of his way on a weekend and was willing to help, he even gave me a temporary fix for my wheel and tire. Haven t used his other services but from the reviews I am sure he does a great job!

Did an amazing job repairing a slightly bent wheel for my Subaru Forester! The wheel looks brand new. Definitely saved me some $ from having to purchase a new wheel through the dealership plus the hassle (since so many things still seem to be on back order). Repair was finished next day. Will definitely go back when I m ready to clean up the wheels on my STi.

Had the worst experience with Ken. Owner of austin wheel repair. I recommended this place to no one in Austin texas. Very unprofessional. This man charged me $240 dollars to basically give me my rim back in worst shape then it was. Broken pieces and wheel plate lock will no longer stay on. I asked if he could make it right and it was a weeks long of chasing him down and in the end he left the wheel worse than when i brought it. Do not use austin wheel repair

Really solid work fixing curb rash on wheels. I took a 2022 Tesla Model Y Performance with the 21" �berturbine wheels that had significant damage (but not bent), and he fixed them to the point they looked exactly brand new. I just couldn't tell where the damage was in the first place. Amazing attention to detail.

Don t judge the shop by it s looks!Ken is an amazing, very friendly guy, and will do professional work on your wheels for a very reasonable price! He s been in this business for decades and knows the ins and outs of every kind of wheel. I had a cracked rim on my Toyota Camry, and brought it to three other car shops that all said I needed to buy a brand new wheel.Then I finally found Austin Wheel Repair and was absolutely shocked when I saw how spectacular of a job Ken did. It basically looks like a brand new tire, doesn t leak air at all, and I was able to save hundreds of dollars.

Disregard his negative reviews. I forgot his name (my apologies) but I was in a situation where I needed to leave town and my wife needed a car. I sent him pictures of the repairs needed and he recommended it would cost more than it was worth because it was only cosmetic damage. He saved me 400.00 by being honest. The hardest thing to find these days is honesty. He s not in it to make money, he s in it for long term business. And for that, I say thank you and will recommend him to anyone looking for repair. Thank you sir.

Just got my new Macon s wheels powder coated and my experience with Wheels recon was amazing! Todd was super helpful, friendly, and easy and the car was done in a day! He even walked with me to catch my Uber lift up near the front of the warehouse area just so that I wasn t waiting alone. The price was very competitive! So happy with the results.

Literally this guy is the master at making any rim look brand new as well as making sure all repairs are fixed and looking clean!! Seriously this guy embodies austin local shops fair prices and precision in their craft, don t go anywhere else

I seriously thought I was going to have to buy new wheels and now I honestly can't even tell where the damage was. He let me drop it off after hours so that I didn't have to miss work and even went and picked up a replacement tire I purchased at Discount Tire and put it on the wheel so I didn't have to make a second trip over there to replace my front tire. I may have spent a little more here than I would have somewhere else (like 5-10/wheel based on another quote that I got ), but the level of customer service I received here made it worth it. I've looked through the other comments here and yeah, if you're looking for polished and "Hello, this is Austin Wheel Repair, how can I help you?" you won't find it. But Ken's legit and honest and at the end of the day, that's always going to get my preference.

I had to get some rim rash repaired on a Tesla 3 and it was fixed within one day! Looks perfect, quick work, reasonable prices. I also had a hard time finding the building as it's behind the stores right off the frontage road, but the owner was patient with me and helped me find the building. I'm very glad I came here and recommend for any wheel work needed!

While traveling through Texas a couple days ago, I bent 2 rims on my Porsche Macan. One in Dallas and one in Austin.Once I got to Austin, I called Austin Wheel Repair and spoke to Ken about my situation. He told me to bring it in first thing and I will have it back the next day.I dropped it off and as promised, the next day, ken called me to tell me the wheel was ready for pickup. I sent a friend to pick it up and when he got back, I was confused on my wheel because it looked BRAND NEW - polished with no scratches.I called ken and he said they polished my wheel on top of fixing it. I was blown away by the above & beyond service!Highly recommend Ken at Austin Wheel Repair

I had a bumpy ride for a couple thousand miles - hit some potholes, and got myself some hefty bends and dents in the wheels on my VW GolfR - 21", aluminum alloy, "can't repair these, just replace them" wheels.After Ken finished with my car, for any normal person, it was impossible to tell the difference between his work and a brand new OEM wheel. Absolutely incredible aesthetic work, all chips and external damages were completely removed. The ride is smooth, and all wheel-based road noise is completely gone.If you're having a bad experience on the phone, or at any point before he's doing the work - he's literally just one guy. Be patient, wait your turn, and be amazed by his handiwork.

Ken was great to deal with and did beautiful work on my wheels even though the job was complicated. My advice is to ignore the reviews from people that have not used Ken. Who reviews a product they have not used anyway? I am confident you will be happy with Austin Wheel"s work.
