The guys are always helpful, and reasonable prices to use a lift! I love that I can work on my vehicle and don't have to lay on my back to do it without owning a lift myself!Did a brake and rotor replacement job. took my sweet time and it was under $100 to use the lift for almost 3 hrs.

First time at this shop was this past Friday 9/15. I rolled my 2017 Audi SQ5 into a bay with lift that I reserved ahead of time.Repair was a new wheel bearing and hub. A job that I received quotes from 4 different Indy Audi shops, all over $1,200 parts and labor.Arrived at the shop and they directed me to the lift and gave me all the help I needed getting it safely onto the lift. Once the tutorial was done they pretty left me alone unless I went over and asked for help finding a certain tool or when I got stuck a few times working my way through the repair. All the mechanics on hand were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. For anyone that has worked on Audis, you ll know they love to use odd sized triple-square and hex bolts - no worries here, the shop has ALL the tools you ll need.Rolled into the shop at 9am rolled out at 2:30pm with a brand new bearing and hub that installed.Total:Parts; $200 sourced on my own. Labor ; $170 all in. For the lift and access to all the needed tools. Including some minor help here and there from their mechanic crew.$370 VS $1,200. No contest.I ll definitely be coming back to add some performance parts I have sitting in my garage soon!

This place is a one of a kind gem. I m a retired tech and did a full engine build on my 06 f-250 6.0 truck several months ago. Pulling the engine at home would have been a big pain I m so glad I didn t have to. I spent 3 weeks here and it was like being back in the shop. Everyone that works here is awesome and the owner mark was a just a good genuine person. I greatly appreciate and recommend this place for working on your vehicles. They have all the tools and all the little things you may need for a project like rivets or hose clamps. All the specialty tools.I also just changed the transmission in my f-150. Much better when you have a lift and cover

Had an incredibly positive experience collaborating with this Team. The workshop is impeccably organized, equipped, and clean. The owners and crew, all exceptionally friendly and helpful. We utilized the lift for 3D scanning our test vehicle in the development of RIVAL Aluminum Skid Plates and will undoubtedly return for future projects. Austin DIY Shop a 100% recommendation from us.

I couldn't tell you how many issues I've had taking my car to the dealer, from handing me the wrong parts, not doing the full service, or filling the car with the wrong oil. I started to do my own oil changes using quality oil/OEM filters and changing other parts if it's not too involved. This shop offering you a lift and tools is a godsend. I'm not currently in a house so my options for DIY work is limited, even having some tools. Super happy with the fact this service is offered and all the people I interacted with were great. Great business, great people, highly recommended.

Great place to work on your car yourself. Very good rental rate for lift stall and tools. Just bring your own parts. Very nice people work here to keep it available for do it yourself mechanics. We love this place and drive 53 miles one way to use the facilities. Thank you Austin DIY Shop!

The DIY shop helped me through a tough situation and ultimately replaced my motor. The shop has provided me the space, guidance and confidence to do more work on my vehicle. The people there are extremely kind, helpful and want to see you succeed in the jobs you take on. I recommend them 100%

Needed access to a lift to replace the manual transmission shift linkage bushings on my Cadillac ATS-V. Could hardly find a shop that would do the work and the lowest price I was quoted was around $1200 so I decided to do the work myself. This place offers lifts, tools, jacks (e.g. transmission jack), etc so you really only need to bring your car. The rates are extremely reasonable and they have mechanics on-site if you need help or otherwise run into trouble.I'll definitely be coming here again the next time I have a big job and need a lift!

Came in to install a new exhaust on my Mazda3, the staff were very friendly and helpful getting me into the bay and showing me how to use the lift and tools. If you want to don't mind getting your hands dirty and want to save money on labor, I highly recommend them.

I've visited this shop a few times now and have had a consistently good experience with them. Have had fluid changes, strut replacement, CV axle replacement and used-car inspection. Haven't worked on the engine so far.Personally, I'm interested in learning how to DIY my car but lack practical experience. It's great to have good mechanics around for when I get stuck. I've definitely needed help, and the guys have always been very helpful and friendly. Brian and Xavier have worked on my car at different times, and they're both good at what they do, plus they're open to helping you learn.Their prices are very fair. One time, they charged me less than the initial quote since the job was done sooner than expected. Renting a bay for even simple stuff like fluid changes is helpful since I don't have to wiggle under my car at home. Even if you get the job done entirely by them, their hourly rate is competitive v/s some other shops I've visited in Austin.I would advise you to call in advance to make sure they have a bay available, since they can get crowded some days. Especially true if you would need their help with a job.I have nothing but good things to say about these guys so far. They're solid, stand-up folk.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

Hey just want to share with everyone that if you are an aspiring mechanic and love the peace of mind that your car is being worked on correctly. Then look no further than Austin DIY shop. You literally DIY. But also there are very talented mechanics available like Brian who know their way around a vehicle and think outside the box for any issues that you run into. You get to operate a personal lift for your vehicle too for any exhaust changes or work under a car. The owner Mark is a good man too, very honest.I came here to get new engine mounts put on my mustang. Brian helped me with a lot of the work because I had no experience with raising any engine or how to operate a lift. He helped a lot but I still did a lot of work on my own too. I got to learn more about working on my car and had the peace of mind that it was done right. I will definitely be returning here soon for future mods and repairs!

Amazing place. They really give you everything you need including quality 4 post lifts for like 20/hr (or less?) also if you need help they have full service mechanics that can do the job for you or walk you through your own repairs for a decent rate. Just be aware they don't baby sit you in any way, so you should at least kinda know your way around a shop and remember to be respectful because they give you a lot of trust. 10/10 will use again.

None like it anywhere. My son runs his own shop in Washington state but thats too far for family to go for his excellent skills. He flies in and works on car issues for the family. Great tools, great lifts, anything else my son needs and very affordable. Thank you Mark and team at DIY of Austin.

I love this place. Finally a place to do your own repairs with the comforts of using a lift! I love using the lifts! I was there on a Saturday to change the transmission fluid on the 2008 BMW 328i. I used the lift that you drive on to. They operate the lift for you. I was quoted $375 to do the transmission fluid. I spent $70 for 2 hours and 15 minutes of bay time. LOVE Austin DIY Shop. I'll definitely be coming back here anytime I have to work under my car.

If I could give this place and the people that work here 10 stars I would! They are nice and so helpful and it's such a well stocked shop! Being able to do your own car work with a lift and pneumatic tools, out of the sun is priceless! Use them! You wont regret it!

This place was amazing. The shop manager was helpful and had a few extra bits we didn't have (100ft/lb+ torque wrench). Using the lifts we were able to knock out replacing wheel hubs in like 20 minutes instead of hours of back aches at home. Every tool you should possibly need plus air tools made it so fast.

Austin DIY is an awesome shop with awesome people and fair prices.Their price for a lift bay rental (including any tool you could ever need) is beyond reasonable and the staff is incredible.Brian stepped in a few times to provide extra hands during my 4-hour stint installing an exhaust and motor mount.I can't recommend this facility enough and will be returning for future DIY work on my vehicle.

Great, helpful staff. Worth the price to save yourself thousands of dollars if you can fix certain parts of your car yourself. Highly recommend.

This place is great! I came in on my day off and got my brake rotors and pads replaced in no time. Felt great to be back in a shop turning wrenches in my spare time. I highly recommend this place for all DIY rs. Friendly folks and staff really make this place. Will be back in a few weeks to change out my rear brakes.

NOTE - address is off Lamar but the shop entrance/office are off Sagebrush Dr (you can turn right onto Sagebrush from Lamar if coming from the north, go left if coming from the south) Had road debris take out my driver s side headlight assembly and the cost to replace was well under my insurance deductible (go figure) but expensive enough for me to realize I could fix it myself haha. I found this shop and could not be happier about my experience!! The mechanic who assisted me (so sorry I forgot his name! :( ) was incredibly helpful - definitely helped me find the right bits and tools to remove part of my bumper and then replace the headlight assembly. Was also helpful at using/teaching me how to use the hydraulic lift which made the repair itself much easier so I wasn t trying to wriggle under the vehicle from the ground. They have plenty of tools - and there are individual toolboxes for each bay. I got things done quickly and easily and again staff was super helpful! If you ever need things done - oil changes, changing brakes, tires etc I d HIGHLY recommend them!! The cost-savings is totally worth it and again staff is really awesome. I will be back if I need a shop again!!

Was able to rent the lift and get under my car to fix a straight forward issue for 30 bucks! Would have been a much harder job if I didn't have access to a lift.
