Took my Silverado in for an oil change and some weird thumping that happened whenever I stopped. Stephen was awesome, and incredibly knowledgeable. he handled all the maintenance and repair very quickly and the only mechanic I'll see from now on. Prices were fair and turn around time was very quick

These guys were incredibly patient and helpful when I discovered that issues with my car would all be covered under warranty. Gary is great with communication.

I had some major issues with our Toyota minivan and (once again), Gary and his crew did an EXCELLENT job on fixing it perfectly with a very reasonable cost (for how much work they did!). It was not an easy fix, but they were quick, got it done and back on the road for my wife/kids to use for work/school/etc. I value Gary and his staff HIGHLY as they are HONEST and very very helpful! Even the main mechanic that fixed our radiator issue, also helped and fixed the engine guard (heat shield?) and put it back into place for me when I mentioned it. It had lost a bolt or something and kind of fallen off to the side (about a year ago) and he quickly fixed it/put it back together quickly...for free! We have been going to Gary's shop for years and will CONTINUE to go to him and his people. We can't thank them enough for all they have done.Services: Engine repair, Brakes

Gary and his team are great! They're honest and I can trust them. I've price shopped them against several competitors and they've always come out with the best deal. We take both of our cars there and have never had any problems.

Austin Auto Repair operates with complete care and integrity. They ve repaired two of our vehicles. On each repair occasion, the mechanics plainly explained their diagnosis and offered clear solutions at reasonable price points. And when our SUV started squealing on start-up far outside of a formal repair need, they addressed it for free.We will be lifelong customers of Austin Auto Repair.

I have a 2007 Honda Ridgeline and needed some repair work done before I return to Alaska for the summer. Gary and Andy are awesome. The work was done completely. I am very satisfied. They are very honest and fair priced. Next year when I return from Alaska, I will differently use these guys for any repairs that I need. Thanks for the great experience. Leon

My truck broke down the other day across town from where my typical shop is. I look these guys up and followed the great reviews to them. The reviews definitely hold true. Austin Auto Repair is fair, fast, and very communicative. I will be coming back!

These guys have been awesome. Any time I've talked to someone on the phone, they have been professional and clear. Their concern is for a well running car and happy customers. Their pledge to accurately & honestly diagnosis & repair your vehicle has been up held with my 2 cars that I have brought in. Once I had assumed my car was in very bad condition and informed James about the problem, they checked the parts I thought to be the problem, and came back with a much lower cost because the part in question was fine, and another part much easier to fix but associated with the original part was the problem.

Gary and his team are fantastic. Brought an old Cobalt in for some front end work which was completed in a timely manner and at a great price. Support a small business and check this place out. I will never take my car anywhere else! Gary is always respectful and straightforward about what work needs to be done and what we should watch, but can wait on a bit. We only have the one car, so getting it worked on can put us in a bind at times, but he's great about working us in to a busy schedule with minimal disruption of our lives.Jarrett is an excellent and efficient mechanic and we always feel welcome and comfortable - even when I have a carload of kids with me. Pricing is fair and questions are always answered patiently and expertly.

They are honest and kind. Came in with a family members car (she doesn t live in town) and they were able to get the fix done in time for her scheduled departure. We had to come back for one more quick trip and they were great to work with!

Fabulous place. Fair pricing. My most valued service with them is their honesty. As a woman, I have learned I never have to worry about them taking advantage of me because of my lack of car knowledge. If they are super busy and can't get you right in, they are worth the wait.

This is actually my second review (reviewed them years ago). This location is 20 minutes from my house, so I go to a few local places for simple work. But for anything expensive, I only go here.First, his prices are usually one of the lowest (usually by about 10% or so--sometimes a LOT less). On one job for air conditioning he was about 80% less--since he properly diagnosed it was just a solenoid (not the entire compressor, etc. like was pitched from another place). He also doesn't throw in $30-50 in mysterious shop fees. He will also shop around for the best options (OEM, re-built, new but not OEM), which often save--and he'll tell you which he recommends.Second, he is thorough and calls in anything else he finds and makes recommendations that can save you a lot of money. And, I always TRUST his advice.He is not the fastest (since he is usually packed), but he usually keeps you appraised of the workload and can schedule you in to reduce downtime.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My vehicle sat for 5 weeks for a 3 to 4 hour brake job. It's a unique custom made 4WD E350 van, however the brakes are straight forward and easy to work on. The first week and a half was spent waiting on rotors to arrive from CA. A couple of rain day delays, however, it sat for 3 weeks with my replacement rotors sitting inside my vehicle. The owner had his mechanics work on other vehicles that we're dropped off after mine.I would suggest everyone to look elsewhere of they expect prompt servicing.

I take all of our cars here. Hard to find someone to trust with your car when you are clueless (like me) on how cars work and how much repairs cost. Gary and his team provide great service and super fair prices.

This is the only place I take my car for whatever it needs! I feel blessed to find a car repair place that that is honest and I can trust. The owner and employees are wonderful, friendly, very helpful; and my experience has been that they have always done a great job on any work that I've needed done, I can get my car in quickly, I know I'm going to get a fair price and that only the work that is needed will be done. I highly recommend their service to anyone!

Quick to figure out if what I think needs done is what really needs done. They seem to know more than most places about all the computer and sensor stuff going on in cars. I'm pretty handy, but some stuff just needs to be done by professionals like this. They've saved me from myself a few times too. For instance, I thought I needed a valve adjustment on our 6 yr old Honda (probably several hundred dollars). They told me that Honda didn't recommend valve adjustment any more as a "maintenance service and I should save the money.

I have tried many different mechanics in Dripping Springs Texas and I found Austin Auto Repair to be the most honest and reliable mechanic. They are very accommodating and go the extra mile to help out their customers. We have been customers for 3+ years now and plan to continue using them.

Most folk tend to review only when they have a bad experience. But it was the positive experiences that led me to try out this repair shop. These guys seem honest and they did good work for a fair price. I am so glad I found them and hope to give them all my future business. Support this local shop if you can.

Excellent! My appointment was for 10:00 and they saw me immediately for an auto AC problem. They were finished at 11:00 and the cost was very reasonable. I deffinately recommend Austin Auto Repair.

These guys saved me an arm and a leg. After Dave s auto repair quoted me 10x the price to perform the same repair, I knew I found my mechanic. I trust these guys, they are honest and timely and reasonable. Thanks guys
