If anyone is looking to get their transmission rebuilt, take it to these guys at ATC and ask for Matt, I recently got my 700R4 overhauled, and my truck runs like new again! I'm glad I found my Go-to shop for transmissions because it's hard to find solid people with loyalty and trust.Thanks again Matt & Company!

Spoke to a gentleman whose name I don t remember unfortunately but he was very understanding. I needed to get my rear brakes changed and he got me in the very next morning! Quick, painless & for an incredibly fair price. It ll be the only mechanic I ll take my car to from here out.

I recently had my 03 Sierra transmission and transfer case rebuilt by Matt and his Team at Austin Transmission and Clutch Specialists. I really liked dealing with Matt. He was professional and knowledgeable and saved me $3,000 over another shop. The work was completed as per estimated time. The truck is shifting smoothly and 4WD is working properly. Thanks Matt and team for honest and affordable service.

I don't usually write reviews, but I put my trust in them and instead of fixing my car they returned it with a major repair that was not worth repairing the car... I invested 2000$ with them, for a car that I had to donate because it was not worth keeping on fixing it. I literally throw away money because of their unprofessionalism.I had a car accident and I just wanted to know if it was worth repairing my car, because it was getting older. They kept on giving me budgets piece by piece, and they said they could not move forward until they repaired the first piece (other mechanics told me that they could have given me an estimate of the total damage, but they just wanted to make business).The day after "fixing it" I heard a weird noise. And after a month waiting for them to check my car again they came back with an issue of 1000$ of the motor being displaced (they could have initially budgeted it, and I would have not repaired the car), and another 1000$ to fix the steering pump, in total almost 2000$ when I had already invested 2000$. I was not going to pay 4000$ for an old car, and then they will come back with another issue. I could not trust them anymore.I donated my car to a mechanic and he said being very honest that they were the ones that broke the steering pump. Otherwise, it would have not been broken days after the first repair.Another unprofessional thing they did was calling me super angry and asking me for an explanation for a bad review they had that I did not write, apparently I was not the only one having bad experiences with them.In conclusion, I would not recommend them.

These guys are the old-school, professional mechanics you want rebuilding your transmission. They take the time to do things right. I took them my 2007 Ford Explorer and they rebuilt the whole transmission in 5 days. Matt always took the time to answer my questions when I called him -- he is very patient and willing to help. They quote solid prices -- there were no add on's or hidden fees.Don't waste your time with another mechanic shop -- these guys are the mechanics you want to work with.

Do not go to this place my boyfriends car was here getting worked on these thief s took my brand new set of purses literally went through my belongings and stole my purses out of his vehicle his car had nothing to do with me this isn t right and I m filing a police report then he lies saying someone must have broke into the vehicle sir you have cameras no one broke into anything no broken glass or anything they have the vehicles in a lot that they lock at night horrible horrible people do not leave anything in your vehicle

Brought both my Jeep and F250 SD here for transmission work. The Jeep I knew had a torque converter problem, and while most trans shops wanted to rebuild it, they took the chance and let me replace the part and saved me thousands. Was very happy and even called them back to thank them.With the F250, I did shopping and they had the best price in town, honest estimates, and constant communication. While the truck did get broken into in their lot, they compensated me for the stolen property.I never thought I'd have to go to the same transmission shop twice, but they really are the best in town. I hope I don't get any more trans problems, but if I do, I'll go back for the friendly service, great value, and great communication.

My rebuilt transmission had a minor shifting issue from 1st gear to second with a little torque converter shutter within one year of the service. It was just a little beyond the mileage warranty limit, but Matt still honored the warranty because that s the kind of shop they are. I was so very pleased with the service provided. My vehicle transmission runs great!

Matt and his staff were absolutely great. They were great at getting back to me and answering whatever questions I had. If I ever need transmission work again (which hopefully I don't) I'm definitely going back to these guys!

Austin trans replaced the clutch in my 2004 forester. We had a couple hiccups on the way, but they kept me updated and did a great job for a better price than any other shop in town quoted. This will be my go to shop for any issues in the future

For one small thing that would take half a day, you not only ignored my calls and gave me three different excuses for the reasons you could not do it and took Over One Month to get to it, I was given another problem on my vehicle that was okay when I gave you my vehicle to you, so I Highly Do Not Recommend This Business, while waiting for my car you had two employees fighting over something one didn't do.

As you can see both cars have had tranny rebuilt by Austin Transmission and I have had zero issues with either one. I will have them do all my tranny work, as they do it right and in a professional manner in time and as to what might need extra attention...

First they quoted 2500 to repair my existing transmission. They made it sound like they could do any repairs needed to the existing trans prior to me bringing it in. After having the car for 3 weeks + . They called and said they could not find parts for it. They would have to order a rebuilt transmission and it would now cost 3k to fix. After getting the car back their's an alignment issue now where before taking it in, it had no alignment issue. 3200 spent total after taxes. Would not recommend.Service: Transmission replacement

Took my truck in for a transmission rebuild. The owner was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions in a more than timely fashion. Truck is driving better than when I bought it. Prices were lower than other places I called. They were really awesome!! They really helped me out with my dodge ram truck. They gave me free diagnostics and put transmission fluid in my truck no charge. I really appreciate there help. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have been able to drive my truck to round rock.

I brought my son's vehicle here for a diagnostic check on the transmission. According to him it seemed to not be shifting correctly. Dropped the vehicle off and after a few days Matt told me that nothing could be found wrong with the transmission. I figured then, my son could have thought it was the transmission but may have been something else. Matt told me he drove it a few times and couldnt feel any problems. After all is said and done there was absolutely no charge for the diagnosis. How many shops would check your vehicle without a diagnostic charge? None that I could think of. Thanks Matt for your time and expertise. If I ever have issues with any of my vehicle's transmission's, I won't hesitate to take it to Austin's Transmission and Clutch Shop!Service: Transmission
