Excellent customer service. Was not able to have my car serviced here because it was a dealership issue. But Austin Automotive specialists sent me a copy of the diagnostic result, charged me half price since the updates were dealership specific and gave me great advice on how to navigate my interaction with the dealership for my car! Also gave me a name of a company they use if I were to need transmission work done. Thanks for all the advice and taking the time to explain warranties.

I've been a customer with Austin Automotive for at least 15 years. For the first time I went to the Buda location since I no longer live in Austin and I received the same great service that I was accustomed to in Austin. I am so happy to know they are close by and I don't have to make the trip into Austin any longer. I think they are very honest, provide good service, and they are super nice. For my visit today I was given an estimate of what it would cost at the time I made the appointment. When I arrived for my appointment they said they were not going to charge me as much as the estimate. Then when they completed the work and I was ready to pay, they lowered the price a second time! I was prepared to pay the first amount so I really appreciate their honesty.

Andrew and the team are awesome !!!!!It was a first time for me since I am only in Austin for less than a year and my car had a wheel bearing. I looked online they had great reviews so I said why not! . I will definitely go back to them for services on my car and my husband as well.You call tell they are honest people unlike some other companies and Andrew at the font is really trying his best to help you!Thank you so much!!!! I ve been in and out of here 5-6 times the last couple months to get my 2009 Ford Ranger back in good working condition after the last mechanic messed it up. Andy is so nice, really helpful and honest. They always call to let you know what services they recommend and pricing is fair. Happy to have finally found a go-to mechanic in the area

This is an honest shop, and I feel very taken care of here. I've brought my car in over the years for various things and they've never pushed extra work, they're quick, they're communicative, and I've always been happy with the results. On my most recent trip, they discovered my issue may have been covered by a warranty and called the manufacturer on my behalf, which I really appreciated. They diagnosed the issue, got the parts, and repaired it within 24 hours. Grateful to have a reliable shop

Front desk employee Wes was very helpful and professional. Drop off was simple and my car was diagnosed the same day. Wes gave me a quote for the repair and answered all of my questions about pricing. They were able to start that afternoon and completed early the next day. The work appears to have been done neatly and my car is still clean inside. Thank you!

Andy and team are always great. I had scheduled an appointment and had a conflict with work so a few days before we were able to reschedule thank goodness! My car was ready when they said it would be and I appreciate the text notifications so it doesn t interfere with work.

I love my 2000 Ranger and at times I can be high maintenance and protective of my truck. They have always been kind and patient with all my questions. Scheduling service and pick up has been easy. I ve been to other shops around south Austin and I have finally found a spot I trust that is also reasonably priced.

I ve been to Austin s Automotive Specialist a handful of times now and they are great! Fast and very helpful always. Their staff helps to explain issues in understandable terms to help make informed decisions. Puts me at ease when I take my car here that it is in good hands.

The staff at Austin Automotive have always been accommodating and transparent with my repairs. This visit was for an alignment of my 1992 Ford Ranger.Made an appointment online and was seen promptly. Alignment was done in a timely manner and I was able to pick her within 3 hours of dropping her off.I have had similar experiences with the work they have done on my 2009 Subaru Outback.I don t hesitate to bring my vehicles here for any repair.

Quick, reliable, and honest. It's hard to find a mechanic that's all three, but these guys are great. In the past I've had mechanics try to upsell me on things I didn't need (like replacing a cabin air filter I had just replaced myself 2 weeks prior), but here they never make anything up and if they recommend something, it's because you actually need it and there's never a high-pressure sales tactic used. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a good mechanic shop that you can rely on. I recommend making an appointment though as they can get pretty busy (and deservedly so!).

I ve waiting awhile to leave this review because I was so upset and angry. I ve gone here for years. So did most of my family. Always had great service. However, this time I felt very cheated and got horrible service. My AC wasn t working. I made an appointment and dropped my car off the night before. I hadn t heard anything by 3 so I called. First I was told I didn t drop my car off. I said I did and were it was parked and keys in the drop box. Oh. Was what I was told. And they wouldn t get to it that day. Next day, I call at 2 to see what they say. Still hadn t looked at it. Wes said I didn t have an appointment so I had to wait. I told him what happened the day before. He didn t care. The 3rd day there, they finally looked at it and gave me an estimate of $2800+. And they wouldn t get the part till I paid $1900 for them to order the parts. The parts wouldn t even get there till the following week. I told Wes, I needed my car and he said so, it s cold you don t need AC. Well it was warmer that weekend and I did need my AC. I took my car and found a place that had really good reviews. They looked at it and told me in 15 minutes what was needed. I got the high and low end estimate. High end was less than $1000. They ordered the part and it was fixed the next day. I showed them the estimate Austin Automotive Specialist gave me and they said I was being cheated. AAS lost my business and respect. The new place I found has my business.

As always, our oil change was quick. I always feel like I can trust Austin Automotive Specialists to do a thorough inspection and give a fair price for any work that needs to be done. In addition they are kind and friendly with a sense of humor.

I never expected another auto repair shop to equal my decades long satisfaction with B&B, but AAS has achieved that in just two visits. I have a 2008 Toyota Highlanderthat I plan tk keep until it is totaled or we can't get parts, so a reliable mechanic is essential. The first visit was to replace a headlamp and the second was for an oil change and brake service. The first time, I sat and listened to how they talked to customers on the phone and in person. Always helpful, respectful and genuinely caring, even when they didn't do the kind of work requested or couldn't take a walk-in job. My experience is that they were expert, knowledgeable and very thorough.They not only performed the oil change and brake service requested, they provided a detailed written overall review of repair and maintenance items. I will be returning next month for front end repairs and other things needed.

The crew is the best in town. I ve had ac issues since last summer and was told my another mechanic that it would cost a ton to fix. These guys were able to diagnose my issue properly and were more than fair in price. Highly recommend them and will be back!

My car needed a battery replacement. They were able to swap out the battery and change the engine oil, all within an hour. Andy and the crew were knowledgeable, honest, and straight to the point of what the car needed. It s been about a month and my car is running great! I recommend this place to anyone looking to get their car fixed.

Andy @ Austin Automotive makes me feel like family. We take all of our cars there for our maintenance and urgent care needs. He has always provided us with honest recommendations and time frames for those recommendations. I have been with Austin Automotive for 20 yrs and counting. I had a great experience. I have an old car and they treated me and my car with respect rather than shooing me away and telling me to get a new car. (Yes other shops have said this to me bc they don t want to work on my car). I made the appt online and that was easy. I got reminder messages. They re repaired something that a previous shop was supposed to have done. And in spite of several mechanics being out sick I still got my car back in 24 hours. I was expecting not to have my car back for a week. My car is running good and I m having no issues. Everybody isn t interested in getting a new car every 4-5 years. This repair work will hopefully give me a few more years of driving. It s a great car! So thanks Austin Automotive Specialists.

I had some issues with my Jeep due to some aftermarket ignition coils. I really needed my vehicle for the coming week. I called Austin Automotive Specialists and Andy understood my situation and found a way to fit me in the same day so that I could have my vehicle for the coming week. Their schedule was booked and they had a ton to do, but went above and beyond to get me taken care of. I couldn t be more thankful!

The gentlemen at Austin Automotive on William Cannon, specifically, are outstanding. Wes at the front is so patient and kind, I even saw him deal with a jerk and it was done VERY professionally. They are all really on top of their work. Thanks again y'all!! I'll be back for sure

I initially walked in on a Saturday. They were unable to work on the alignment, so they made an appointment for a couple days later. On that day I arrived, my car was immediately taken back and aligned. I was very pleased with the prompt service and professional staff.

Only discrepancy I have was I was told it would cost $75 for diagnostics over the phone then when I get there they told me it was going to be $160. Other than that Andy and Wes were very professional and accommodating. Also no on called but I did receive a text I almost missed bc I fell asleep luckily I woke up before 5:00pm and touched base with Wes who sent me a link to pay my bill over the phone. The invoice wasn t itemized and just shows a total which was slightly annoying. Other than that I paid my bill and he left my key out for me to get into my car. Pretty straight forward and they even let bring my truck back to them after the part came in without billing me for diagnostics. Very accommodating and honest. Glad you guys fixed my AC in this weather I really appreciate it. Highly recommend them and would definitely be bringing my vehicles back here. I have used Austin Automotive Specialists twice now and it has been a fantastic experience each time. They always tell you exactly what is wrong, and it is clear they charge you for exactly what they are doing, nothing more. I have felt very comfortable each time I have brought my vehicle there, and they have been flexible and speedy with the repair items. Thank you guys! It was a big job that became way bigger than expected. Longer billable hours popped up, but they stuck to the original quote, and I even got a slight discount due to the additional timing than expected. I was always kept informed, and photos taken and texted along the journey. Pretty much 1/2 the car was disassembled and put back together, and yet still stayed pretty clean....lol

These guys are really great. They communicate everything clearly and will text with you as well, which is helpful to get your situation handled even if you are busy at work. I got a quote from somewhere else that was significantly higher than what I paid here.
