Went in to Advance Auto Parts in 3110 S Lamar , Needed a New Battery Nathan greated me and Sold me wrong Battery, he went and Called A Coworker, So that i can return the same wrong battery he had sold me , He wasn't very helpful or very knowledgeable, So his Coworker Abraham, Got the correct Battery and Installed it. His service was excellent, to Abraham for his exceptional knowledge and professionalism, I give this store 100% satisfaction. Great Job Advance Auto Parts VERY CLEAN STORE !!! I will be coming back.

I ordered shock absorbers and when they came in i picked them up and noticed they were covered in oil. They were in a pre-opened box and were leaking oil. I can t figure out why they would try to sell parts that had obviously been returned for not working. When i asked for a refund the manager tried to convince me to let him get the parts again. I said no thanks as i am getting the work done the following day. he said oh well i was going to offer you 50% off . So i said when can you have it by? And he waved me off with his hand as he walked away. How insulting.. then it took them almost 30 minutes to process the refund and they were unable to print a receipt!!! To make it worse, i went to Auto Zone and bought the same shock s for half the price!!! Advance Auto Parts experience: bad products, bad management and actually tried to rip me off. No thanks.

Walked in and asked if they would charge my battery because it was low. Both guys at the front looked at each other and said they would t help me with my battery and I had to bring it in already disconnected. First of all I have no idea how to take a battery out of my own car. That why I was there! Secondly one guy asked the other if he wanted to take the battery out and he straight up said NO in face.A few days before I had went in and asked a nice gentleman with a cool mustache and he said absolutely he would help me with my battery.So I don t know who these other guys are working there who wont offer any help but that was very rude.And at no time did the guys offer to try to put the portable battery charger on my battery, NOTHING! NO HELP AT ALL!

Went there yesterday and one of the front desk guys Abraham if that is his correct name wasn't helpful at all. From the get-go I was encountered with a bad attitude with no customer service at all. Spoke with the district manager Ryan Miller and he didn't even ask me what happened. Looks like we all know where the bad attitude comes from. The top. Went to AutoZone and they treated me as a valued customer. Won't go back to this place no more.

If you have ever interacted with a person who puts more energy into not doing their job? That's the manager here. He was unhelpful and condescending, made me feel like he was going to punish an employee for offering me assistance which made me feel guilty. The most annoying part was when he explained that he's worked there 3 years and never heard of the product I'm looking for so therefore I shouldn't expect help. Everyone else here, every regular employee I've dealt with in the past was amazing but the manager couldn't even briefly try to help me look into the problem I'm dealing with, which is a super common issue. It's so frustrating when the people running the place don't have practical experience in the field they work in, or they get offended and standoffish when encountering a new challenge. I've always known Advance Auto to be the place that helps you save money and get the job done yourself, providing tools and tips. They don't replace an experienced mechanic but I've never had to send my car into a shop because Advance has always been helpful, I guess that's not the case anymore at this location.

I recently stopped by this location to get my battery tested after my car needed a jump. Jon & Carol were so helpful!Jon quickly tested my battery and determined it needed replacing. He got me set up with a new battery and took such great care swapping the old one out! There had been a good amount of corrosion around the poles, but Jon made sure to get everything cleaned. I even learned a few tricks from him as I watched him work! He's a very accomplished mechanic and Navy veteran, and I truly appreciated every second he took to help me. I knew me and my car were in very good hands!Carol was very friendly while ringing me up and helped me find the best deals on the products I needed.I felt so valued as a customer, and I will continue visiting this location for anything I need!

Unfortunately, I happen to be there a lot because my car gives me a lot of problems. I once didn't have enough antifreeze and the gentlemen were nice enough to help me check it and add more. i went again because my battery had died and the gentlemen once again were nice enough to check it out for me and change the battery once I purchased one. They're very attentive and nice! Will definitely go again.

Needed windshield wipers.Dreaded figuring out which ones I needed and installing them (Installation is easy but I have to always relearn it.)No problemsHenry figured out which ones I needed, Recommended price point base on my usage and installed them.Long story short this store is great for those who like to work on their autos and those who want to try.

Just had an issue w my car s wiper blades. Counter Technician Mr Lupe quickly addressed the issue , discussed solution options w me , identified optimal replacement parts and personally installed necessary items. He even disposed of old wipers and recycled the rest. Well Done !

I went to the S. Lamar store (#3078) and the guy who helped me was a gem. Lupe was patient, helpful, and encouraging. I like doing small upkeep things to my car and having an understanding of what's what, but I also get really nervous and lack confidence when it comes to what's under my hood.I really like that I could go in to the store and be treated with patience, courtesy, and respect. It boosts my confidence to have an interaction like this. I really appreciate Lupe's excellent customer service and kindness!

Today was one of those days where car trouble could have ruined everything, but Jon at Advance Auto Parts made sure it didn't. As soon as we pulled into the shop with our engine issue, Jon was on it. He took the time to listen to our concerns, assess the situation, and most importantly, pinpoint the problem. His knowledge was top-notch, and he walked us through the solution step-by-step. Thanks to Jon, what could have been a day-ruining problem turned into a minor bump in the road. It's clear that Jon isn't just good at his job; he cares about the people he's helping. He's not just an employee; he's a true problem solver and a peace-of-mind provider. Any team would be lucky to have someone as awesome and capable as Jon!

Henry was very helpful! I was previously sold an incorrect sized windshield wiper that flew off when attempting to use. He assisted me measuring the current ones, searching for the correct model based off my car and helped ensure that it was in working condition before I left the store. Appreciate the pleasant customer experience!

The store was very well organized so I easily found what I needed. The young man at the counter was so helpful. He ran diagnostics and checked my tire pressure for me. We were back on the road in a heartbeat!

Will not buy from this location in the future, poor treatment by manager Alan. I asked manager to redo papework as a personal sale instead of my employer manager refused, turned around and left. Also realized late, bill had additional language added whereby returns/refunds is only at manager's discretion, most places are happy to take returns if parts not used. Bad experience all around. I will not be visiting location in the future.

went get a battery For My fiat my car didn't start with new battery, The person who installed battery had Rivera on His hand Tattoo I don't remember name when he install my battery it started smoking on terminal then his coworker fix the battery but my ac no working I have to take to dealership and I went back to the store to tell him my car was still in shop and he told me I was calling him a liar get out his store and started getting hostile with me so I just walked out. He is No help at all.

I had a bad battery and had to go to the Advanced Auto Parts near the repair place.i must have been dealing with a new guy but the manager was standing next to him the entire time. It took 20 minutes to exchange and purchase a battery. First he couldn't find me in their system. I've been going to Advanced for 15 or 20 years. Then he couldn't find the battery in the system to check warranty. It had expired so I had to purchase a new battery. They had 3 options and I decided on the new "gel" technology. He grabbed a battery and scanned it and said $320. It was a $230 battery and I turned in my old battery. I asked him to read me the charges. I had to add it up for him 3 times to show the register was wrong. Eventually the manager told him to start over. Finally it came out around $250. I would have been overcharged $70. Then the manager noticed it was the wrong battery. Need i go on.....

I went to this advance auto parts location to get a new battery for my car. They pulled the incorrect battery, installed into my vehicle, and then really did nothing to right the situation. AVOID this place at all costs.

These guys basically stole from me. They didn t have the part I was looking for so they told me they d order it online for me and call me when it came in. A week goes by and I haven t heard anything so I call and am informed that the item was actually out of stock and that they wouldn t be receiving it. They offered a refund but only if I went into the original store I d gone to. I go out of my way on a Sunday to go to the store to get a refund and they tell me they won t do it unless the person who placed the original order is there working.In Short: They ordered an out of stock part, charged me for it + shipping, then refused to refund me online or in the store when I went in.To lose a 24 year old male as a potential lifetime customer instead of simply refunding the $10 or so they owe me is terrible business.Never spending money at one of these stores again.

The only reason that I am not giving this place a full 5 dtar rating, is because of the attitude that my boyfriend received from one of the female employees here whenever he came inside to ask if we could possibly charge our car's batterythere. (Since doing so is offered here as a free service) At first the lady seemed happy to help and told him "Yes! We can definitely do that for you!" So of course, we felt relieved since without this, we would not be able to start the car.(our alternator is messed up) BUT, after my boyfriend came back inside with the battery, her attitude completely changed for some reason and she all of a sudden became very hostile towards him and started making remarks about how she hoped that she would be able to get this done for us before they closed... they close at 9:00PM, it was easily only 12:30 in the afternoon when this happened.. so it just seemed a bit ridiculous to even be commenting about such things to us as if this had all of a sudden become some kind of huge inconvenience to her in some way?OTHER THAN THAT!This place as a store itself, has never disappointed me. They have always had the things in stocks that I need, they usually have incredible customer service and the staff has always have a remarkable amount of knowledge on just about anything car-related that I have had to ask them about. GREAT PLACE FOR CAR STUFF!

I just met Alvin, from the Advance Auto Parts staff and what a sweet man. My car battery was dead. I ordered the wrong online, which he made me notice. He helped find the right one and he installed it. So kind and patient. Thank you Alvin!

I came here to get a new battery for my 2012 Silverado 1500. When I went to the front counter to ask for help, the guy working insisted that I have a 2013 Silverado 2500 without even seeing my vehicle. Not only was that completely incorrect, it was utterly condescending. Then, he said that he could not install the battery on my car because it would take longer than 45 minutes. This was frustrating because my old battery was dead and he had to help me jump my car so I could leave. I ended up changing the battery myself (which I hadn't done before) and it only took me 30 minutes. I learned from a YouTube video. IF I ever go back there I hope to be treated with more understanding and respect.

Nick helped me with problem with my car that had been plaguing me for months. We talked about what I thought the solution was. I purchased something and as I was leaving he ran out to check if it was something else.... and it was. Returned the item, bought his suggestion and haven t had a problem since. Really great service and thoughtfulness all around. This was right at the end of the day also so he would have been forgiven a bit for just getting me out the door.I live around the corner and now this is my auto-shop.
