As a certified Ferrari/Lamborghini technician, I am completely blown away by the negligence of dealerships in modern times. I brought in my brand new Acura tlx type s for a basic oil change.(2nd service of the vehicle and first at this dealer)After a week of the vehicle sitting at the dealership untouched, I get it back with the oil drain plug completely loose. How can I trust a dealership with my 50+k car when the most basic service can't even be done correctly. This should never ever happen with competent technicians. Shameful and embarrassing

Very rude service manager, will not come back. I brought my car in for the first service after 5 months buying a certified pre-owned car from this dealership and it was only 4000 miles, my sales man told me my car comes with free services and has warranty up to 6 months, but the service manager said my car didn t come with it and wanted to charge me? He wanted me to do tires rotation when I just drove it only 4000 miles? Isn t it is pre-owned certified means they supposed to do all these before delivering the car to me? Obviously they have not done their job? I asked if they will let me borrow a car for a couple hours and he said he won t loan me a car because I m only doing the oil change, his tone of voice was rude so I said such a bad service , then he said he will not work on my car because I said that. There wasn t customer service and no customer obsession at all, seems like they only wanted to make money on their customers if they could when they couldn t get what they wanted, they are rude. I bought two cars at this place, there will not be another one.

The customer waiting area is clean and neat. A separate area for people with children. Making an appointment doesn't seem to matter much. I made an appointment and it still took a couple of hours. One way in and out and if you miss the entrance you have to go all the way around.

We just moved here from Houston and needed a place to get our Acura serviced, but after reading the reviews here I think I will just drive it back to Houston when I need service.

they dont follow appointments and dont have work schedule. Their customer service is abysmal, and the service management, and manager is woefully inadequate, and rude.

Since, the time I have owned Acura (over more than half a decade), I have always come to this service center! Spent thousands of dollars here.I have also come here multiple times for a complimentary car wash only. They always did it! This time though the guy took the car and few minutes later came back and told me they can t car wash since I didn t buy the Acura here. I asked if this was a new rule , to which he said no it s always been the case!I told him that s strange because never in past anyone bought this up to which he said they must have forgotten to check each time in past! This was a disappointing experience !

I've been taking my Acura MDX ('09, then '15) to this dealership since 2012 because of the lack of other dealership options in North Austin. I've spent $2400 on an Acura Care extended warranty. I've spent thousands on factory recommended services at this dealership. Usually my experience with the service department (compared to Lexus which I also own) is that there are a couple of advisors (David and Adrian) who are relatively courteous and will pay attention to your concerns and make you feel like they have your back. But the management here is a different story.I had an A1 service at this dealership done yesterday and I had told them that my windshield washer fluid warning light was coming on too frequently. Coincidentally, this started happening right after I had my timing belt replaced from them last year (coincidence maybe? they're never going to accept responsibility for that!). They told me that they checked it for leaks and found nothing. I pick up my car, and turn it on, and lo and behold! The windshield washer warning is displayed on the dashboard. Wouldn't you expect that after making me wait > 90 minutes they would have checked the vehicle warning lights before handing it back, especially since I had told them about it?I'm waiting in line and their manager comes out asking if anyone is in line. I explain to him the situation. First of all, instead of apologizing for the bad service, he is acting annoyed and speaks to me in a disrespectful, brusque and condescending tone. I get it, if it were a white lady you wouldn't speak to her like that but since I'm an old brown guy you feel entitled to be disrespectful. Kudos to you!The gem of information he shared is that he can't tell me if this is covered under Acura care. Wait, you are the *Acura* dealership and you sold me the warranty saying that it is "just like your factory warranty except for cosmetic issues". So now I have to gamble on if I should bring it in for diagnostics and not know if they will cover the issue? Is this "Acura Care"? Wow, what peace of mind! Thanks, but I'm never buying an Acura again.Any way, back to the service manager. Instead of showing any empathy for my situation, all I got were acrimonious vibes for no apparent reason. At Lexus, VW, and Audi, I am used to being addressed with courtesy and respect. At David McDavid Acura, well....If you notice the review on the dealership, most of the 5 start reviews are for the sales department, and the service department is rated poorly. There's a reason for that. The service department is managed by people who don't know a thing about customer service.

I went David McDavid Acura to get a hitch installed for a bike rack. The team was polite and did a very nice job. I brought my laptop so that I could work while I waited. Their waiting area was clean and had snacks and coffee. The hitch was installed in about an hour and I got a text when it was ready. We usually don t go to the dealer for maintenance unless we absolutely have to go but the prices were reasonable and the service was good so we will be back.

I've driven Acuras for over 20 years. I get regular maintenance done at David McDavid, with the exception of oil changes (why pay $80 for an oil change?). I bought my current car at Sterling because they participate in the Costco Auto Program. At my last service visit, I was informed that I could get a complimentary car wash any time. I went today to get one and was told I could only get a car wash if I bought the car at David McDavid. I explained what the previous service rep had told me, and rather than offering to check my service record, the service manager demanded to know who told me that. I don't remember the service tech's name. The service manager was not friendly or helpful. I'm furious that a high end brand like Acura would refuse a $10 car wash to someone who has been a loyal Acura customer for so long. They weren't even busy. The proper way to handle this issue was to offer the car wash today and explain that their policy changed and they couldn't do that in the future. I would have left with very high customer satisfaction. As it is, I am very dissatisfied.

Very knowledgeable and helpful. David was extremity friendly and did everything to solve the problem and made sure we were comfortable. He did solve the problem and I would not take my car anywhere else. Thank you David, I thank everyone that had a part in my situation

To be potentially charged 200 dollars to change a low beam head light that you already purchased is not cool. It's one of the reasons I stopped going to this dealership in the first place.

I started getting c1018-62 alert on my RDX few months back, my car have roughly 50K miles on it always serviced at Acura service stations.I took the car to David McDavid Acura Of Austin , they said a break sensor need to be replaced and they didn't have the parts, so i have to take car back to themat a later date when the parts was available , which i did. After the parts was replaced(and paying 500+$) i took the car to home, immediately after i reached back home i could see thealert popping back again. I called them again took the car back to them and left the vehicle there. After 3-4 days they mentioned they couldn't reproduce the issue(wheni dropped the vehicle there, alert was popping up on the media console) I went there picked up the car , when i started the car i couldn't see the alert coming up.Took out the car out and drove for few miles i could see the alert popping up again. When i texted the service station again , the reply i got was "what are you doing with the vehicle".I was doing what is expected for you to do with vehicle that is to drive to take yourself one point to another. My issue was not fixed , neither root cause found. At least they should do the bare minimum to test the car thoroughly before handing over to the customer. Below par experience.

This is a ZERO STAR EXPERIENCE!! I Have been going to this place for a while but have never felt so unwelcoming and honestly feel terrible that i have been giving my money to this place. I Bought my vehicle from this place, had every single service done here but today was the worst of experience. I signed up for service appointment online and specially asking for a loaner and go in next day just to be disclosed that they never give out loaner for a B1 service on my TL. Never before have i ever heard that. There website is totally misleading customers. Not only they had the audacity to straight up reject my loaner but also said because it is not a big job and they won't give one. So they discriminate between customer who spend more and who spend less. I myself have always received a loaner from them for any services big or small if needed. Is spend $1800 for my last service and would have spend a lot more but i would rather go to south Austin than ever waste my dime at this dealership. Thank you Lance, the service manager for having the worst ever customer satisfaction skills and no intention to resolve a misleading website marketing. Don't go to these cheats who have neither any skills or will to know how to treat their customers.

Outstanding customer service!!! The team (especially James) maintained constant communication with my vehicle order. Easy and smooth process to except/purchase my new vehicle and gave me a reasonable trade-in value for my existing Acura. I ll continue to take my business to David McDavid Acura!!!!

I ve been taking my car to David McDavid Acura Of Austin Service Department since around 2012. I highly recommend this outstanding team of professionals. They have gone above and beyond my expectations with exceptional customer service and quality work on my Acura over the years.I really appreciate my service advisor, Jay who helped me with my car and made sure I was completely satisfied with all the services that were completed by the highly skilled team of technicians. I have recommended David McDavid Acura to many of my friends in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

I had a simple service on a relatively new car lately, and was told it would take 1 hour max. After 1 hour 40 minutes I walked through the empty office to find Adrian Duke, the guy who d made the time promise, standing at his desk talking banalities with another employee. I stood patiently in his line of sight and had to wait until the pointless conversation ended before I was summonsed over.I set down a bottle of drink I had with me and got, Is that a bottle of poison? I was taken aback by this, and said that it did look a bit medicinal. Then Adrian segued into the topic of there being alcohol in the Kombucha I was drinking, so I told him what he probably already knew, given that he knew anything about it at all. After this, Adrian made the query about where my accent is from, and when I told him, made quite a noise about loving Irish accents.Anyway, TL/DR: Adrian Duke is evidently not someone a decent extortionate-fee-paying customer would want to deal with. I won t be doing it again, that s for sure.ETA: Google s advisory about posting a review states that your profile name will be shown with your comments. If in any doubt about my identity, ask Adrian Duke or look at service appointments for 1 pm on the 11th of August. As for my interest in dealing with anyone in David McDavid, I don t have any. I would appreciate a business that advises their staff that underhanded baiting of foreign customers is not advisable. In this sense, a talk with your staff is more useful and appropriate than a talk with me.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I called ahead about a part that I needed. They had it set aside and ready when I got there. The part was an excellent price and exactly what I needed. I will continue to shop from here.

Great vehicles and service, the only place I trust for routine maintenance. Ease of online appointments and competitive prices with knowledgeable staff and a comfortable waiting area.
