Basic hotel with modern design and excellent service. I can understand the complaints about privacy with the bathroom, but that didn't affect us. I love that they offer free water at check in and in the rooms. Lavender packets at night are cute and a nice touch. Mini beverage fridge in room, and I was able to use the microwave in the kitchen behind check-in desk. Great service at check in. They explained the confusing elevators to us as they share the building with The Otis. Fitness room was great. We requested late check out and were very surprised at the accommodations they took! I'll be staying at this hotel in the future and am looking forward to it.Nearby activities: Great Asian restaurants and a fun t-shirt shop around the corner.

Stayed just one night at this hotel. The highlight of this place is the customer service. EVERYONE we interacted with was exceptional! From the front desk to the valet staff to the restaurant/bar staff; everyone provided exceptional customer service. As for the hotel itself, the room is quite small as others have mentioned but was sufficient for two adults. What was NOT ok was the stained/ripped sheets. Upon crawling into bed, we discovered multiple stains (some red) on the bottom sheet. Called down to front desk and asked for additional sheets so we could change and were brought two more (one of which was also stained). NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Also had issues with the bottom elevators closing too quickly/aggressively and ended up slamming into my wife's arm and causing some minor pain. All of these issues were raised to Marriott customer service who provided the standard "Sorry we will address with property" and that was it. Hopefully they take this feedback and work on their internal housekeeping issues (as well as maintenance on the elevators).

This is a very nice and clean AC. The team here is so kind and generous. Our family stayed here during a difficult time and the team made every effort possible to make us feel welcome and cared for. The dual hotel offers very nice amenities including Acre 41. We will be back for football season.Safety: They clearly take security seriously especially at night.Walkability: Lots to walk to including shopping, dining and Texas Sports.Food & drinks: Unlimited options

This place is really cool if you like having a bathroom that is physically inside the room. Very intimate! The sink and shower are in the same room as the bed, and there is only one of those thin sliding barn doors that closes off the toilet from the rest of the room. You can imagine the smell, that's all I'll say. Don't come here with someone unless youre already really comfortable. It's really like they forgot to put the bathroom walls up and called it a day

My wife and I came here for 3/8/24 for our 22nd anniversary. Our first time every coming here. It was pricey but since our anniversary fell in the first day of SXSW we literally paid the price lol. None the less Bri at the front desk made our experience really nice started us off with a glass of wine at the front desk which was a great start and gave us a breakfast voucher for the next day which was very nice of her to do that. The actual room had the whole European feel and look and space just like described on the website nice and cozy!! Also Bri was nice enough to order us a bottle of champagne and chocolate desert to the room as well which was very nice! The bed was comfortable and pillows as well. All and all we would definitely stay here again at this property we will just do it when it's not at a high peak time.

Let me tell you all a story a story of a wayward man trying to find his way through a city unknown. He happened upon a hotel one he never experienced before everything else was booked. As the elevator opened she could see the exhaustion from his travels lying upon his young weary face she smiled he grunted Welcome to the AC, are you checking in? Although Peleg had been there for hours on end she greeted him as though her day had just started and the sun was just shining on the dandelions and warming up the world In all seriousness, I appreciate you Peleg. It was a great stay and your service was impeccable. Thank you thank you thank you.

My husband booked this hotel last minute as part of our anniversary and I am so glad he did.Upon entry we were greeted with a nice glass of wine. The hostess Bri was really nice. She gave us a free breakfast voucher and had them bring us our own bottle of wine along with a chocolate smoore for our anniversary.Upon entering the room we noticed it was on the smaller side but in a good way like a spot in Europe. The shower as well as shower pressure was very nice and clean. We thought the layout of the bathroom especially how the toilet is separated by a clouded glass door was reminiscent of our stay at a resort in the DR.A resort we stayed at in the DR had a similar bathroom set up.As a couple we appreciated the size of the room and the bed was quite comfortable.I also enjoyed our view from the all glass window that goes from top to bottom. We would definitely stay here again if we needed to.Rooms: On the smaller side but efficient. We most enjoyed the comfort of the bed and the shower.Nearby activities: A bunch of places to eat and you're in downtown Austin.Safety: We felt safe.Walkability: Close to many attractions such as the Moody Theatre,UT events and eateries.

Visited again last week after a couple of years. I love this hotel and the fact that you can utilize the Otis Amenities as well. The Staff is great!I see a lot of complaints about the rooms and bathrooms. Please understand that the AC is about minimalistic and modern design and is originally a Spanish concept. There are other hotels to choose from if the design isn't optimal.I was there for 3 days and enjoyed the AC Bar, Otopia rooftop and Acre 41.Special call out to one of the Assistant General Managers Christopher Duffey. A great Ambassador to the hotel and especially the White Lodging Hospitality Group. Didn't realize that I stay at a lot of their properties already and I look forward to experiencing more during my travels.Rooms: Modern and Minimalistic Rooms, Great for Solo Business Travel.Food & drinks: Great Options with the AC Bar, Acre 41 restaurant and The Otopia Rooftop Bar.

We enjoyed our stay here, but only after being moved to the west side of the hotel. Do not pay extra for the Campus View rooms. The view is of the back of restaurants on Guadalupe Street and a construction site on the UT campus. They were considerate enough to move us to the west side of the hotel and the view is of the hills of west Austin. Room was comfortable. Rood top bar on the sister property, The Otis, is very nice. Great views of downtown Austin and the west hills. Would we stay here again? Yes.

My daughters had to stay here when their new UT apartment wasn t ready for move in. The hotel was very nice with great views & public areas, but what put over the top was the extreme kindness and flexibility of the staff! They were aware of how displaced the kids felt and were so kind and accommodating. I even received a lovely glass of champagne while I was trying to check out after such a chaotic week! It was another extra sweet touch!

Checking out was so pleasant with Peleg, despite our unusual situation. We also complement the hotel s quick response when we got locked out of our room.Rooms: Very nice and clean.

Really enjoying this hotel. The staff at the front desk and in the bars are incredibly polite and thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a big bathroom and good functioning shower.Rooms: Clean and spacious. Has a desk with power options, large screen TV, cofee machine, safe, and a (tiny) fridge.Walkability: There's a 711 across the street and the AT&T conference center is a 4 minute leisurely walk away.

This hotel is strategically located right next to the university and a ton of food options, and it's easy to go to other parts of Austin from there. The place is immaculate and a joy to stay in! My only critique is the lack of a mini-fridge with a freezer and microwave, as there was a time where it would've been super handy in a pinch. There is a tiny fridge big enough and just capable enough of keeping drinks cool, though.

Located close to UT campus and great parking garage access. But the high floor campus view room rate was very overpriced. It was a view of a parking garage with homeless people sleeping on top. Not what I invisioned when booking reservations.I wanted to be within walking distance to stadium. Restaurants close by as well.Room offered a small fridge and small bathroom with no privacy.Rooms are very small, like a dorm room and bland decor compared to other hotels in Austin.

This place is walking distance from almost everything you would want to do in downtown Austin. I'll definitely look to stay here again on my next visit. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.Rooms: My room was clean and pleasant. The placing of the sink is a little odd.

The hotel itself is good, but I could not reach the front desk for 4 days already to authorize the credit card for our employees and last time our employees were waiting for 30 min to start the check in. There was nobody in front of them and it was 12 am.

- Be careful of unexplained Creepy charges in your credit cardThe Marriott system is super sloppy and always overcharge without apologies. Almost in every Marriott hotel there is an over charge incident for no reason except sloppiness of their system.- location is great but really confusing to get in and misleading- rooms are well setup and clean however super tight-NYC AC has bigger rooms- I thought the pool was a part of the hotel however no you have to pay 20$ per day extra also you have to go to floor 1 or 2 then walk across the restaurant in your swimsuit so you can take another elevator to the roof.It didn t have to be this confusing and un hospitable.I wouldn t recommend this location especially there are a lot of competitive hotels in the area.

Two of our daughters live in Austin. After staying on South Congress last year and putting up with an awful but expensive famous hotel, we decided to shift gears. This two year old hotel was closer to them. The location is beautiful and you can actually see the hills in the hill country. The room was comfortable although we wish the bathroom had more than two light settings: off and glaringly light. The switch is motion activated so if you pee in the middle of night, it is like staring at the sun for a couple of seconds. The shower is great but the tile floor a bit slippery and needs a grab rail installed. The all you can eat breakfast was good but the bar drinks are pricey. We were invited to dinner and had no wine so the bartender agreed to see me a bottle of Pinot Noir. I unhappily paid $52 and later discovered the retail was $15! Lastly, housekeeping needs to do better. When we went to use the room coffee machine, I discovered days old used coffee bag still there. But all in all we would stay here again. And there are great restaurants within walking distance.Rooms: Comfortable but bathrooms badly need nightlights. Hosusekeeping never cleaned coffee pot before our stay.Walkability: Walking trails nearby as well as restaurants and a movie theater.
