Called in with transmission concerns, brought it in the next day with a time that worked best for them, and I had it back that same day. Tim was very professional and professed confidence in being able to help me specifically, especially since they had a Subaru expert on their team. Thankfully I just needed new fluids, but let me tell you: if you think you might be having transmission issues, don t second guess yourself and let and expert tell you what s going on. Otherwise, it s those that wait and avoid regular maintenance that suffer terminal failure. Anyway, these guys are thorough, professional, fast, and *very* competitively priced.

Tim and Dane were absolute champions! I took my truck to them while on the road and they took care of me and said my transmission was good to go but needed electrical work and to take that to the dealership which I did.The Ram dealership said proceeded to try to take advantage of my situation of traveling and being stuck in Austin and told me that someone put the wrong transmission fluid in my truck, and I pressed them and asked them what it was and they said it was the same transmission fluid color but different brand. Not to get to complicated but there s literally NO way to know without an actual test sent to a lab that takes weeks. The dealership quoted me $19,200 to get a whole new transmission btw.So long story short, the dealership tried to take advantage. I took my truck back to Tim and Dane and they spent extra time with me, educating me, and looked over my truck a second time and said I was all good to go. I m on the road towing my trailer and everything is just fine.Thanks for the professionalism, honesty, and attention! Great place, highly recommend!

I was referred to A+ from another shop when my car needed diagnostics ran on it. My transmission was suspected to be the issue. Tim was super helpful in getting an appointment set for same day diagnostics since I live about an hour away and had recently moved here. AKA, no family here to help with a drop off. They ran a free 22 point check on my car, figured out it was a wheel sensor, they requested my part be expedited, and had the new sensor installed and changed the transmission fluid in just a couple of hours. I m incredibly grateful for these guys! I don t know anything about cars or have loved ones with knowledge here to pull advice from. I feel like they made sure I had clarity on what was needed and recommended, then quickly helped me obtain and instal what I needed to get my car back on the road. Thank you for your help!

I made an appointment because they are very busy. Arrived and my truck was taken in for a fluid change. Fast and done right. That s why I always go here for my transmission concerns. And they re way less expensive than the dealer.

The single best experience I have had with an auto shop in Austin.When I brought my car in, the check engine light was on and it was showing a code for the transmission. Other than that everything else was running perfectly fine. It was right before the holidays and I was scared of an expensive repair.Tim took a look at my car and said he thought it was a faulty sensor then cleared the code for me for FREE. He explained that he had seen the same thing in other models of my car, but if the check engine light came back to bring it back in. The check engine light never came back on.So many other places in Austin would have charged me so much just to look at the car, then probably taken advantage of the fact that I'm a younger woman that doesn't know much about cars (it's happened a lot in the past).Tim was so kind and generous with his time, if I ever do have transmission problems in the future, this is the only place I will go. Earned my trust in a big way.Side note: I saw a review earlier that claimed that all the 5 star reviews were part of some kickback program. I don't personally believe that, but just to clarify they have not paid me anything (or probably even expected me to leave a review) I just think that good service deserves recognition.

Tim and his team are great to work with. I ve brought multiple vehicles to them and can honestly say these guys know what they re talking about when it comes to transmissions. They provided me with a full detailed report on the transmission explaining exactly how wach gear was functioning. If you feel like you re having a transmission issue, give them a call and get your vehicle checked before the issue gets worse!

This place is awesome! Honest, helpful and considerate are just a few of the words I can think of when I think about my experience at A+! It s rare to find a place that feels like they truly have your best interest in mind through out the entire process but that s exactly what these guys do for you. Wish they did more than transmission, I would bring my car here for everything if I could!

My 2014 Equinox started up one day in limp mode along with 4 error codes. I was able to still drive it so I took it to A Plus Transmission after reading their reviews, so glad I did.Within a few hours they told me what it was and provided an estimate to fix it but at the time I was not ready to pay for it.So after 3 months went by I took it back in and within a day they had it fixed. They didn t try to up-charge me or say it needed even more repairs like most shops do.I have driven it over a 1,000 miles and no issues, thank god! These guys are fast and affordable, they also offer financing. Thanks!!!

I can't say enough good things about A Plus Transmission Specialists. Tim was my main point of contact and was nothing but professional, polite, helpful and instructive. I brought my Ford F-150 there because I was told by another service station that I needed a new transmission and it would be $7,000. They recommended I take it to A Plus. I dropped it off about when they closed on a Tuesday and by 2 pm the next day, A Plus isolated the problem as an auto start-stop issue and said my transmission was fine. Tim recommended I take it to a Ford dealer to fix the start-stop issue. Great service and no charge whatsoever which is so rare these days. I highly recommend A Plus Transmission.

I set up a appointment with A+ to get my vehicle transmission fluid changed . Tim greeted me got information on my vehicle . I was In and out in about an hour . Great work and the best price . Definitely recommend , I will take my other vehicle in to A+ .

I was in Austin for the F1 event and had transmission valve body issues. Went to A Plus and spoke with Tim. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. As I live out of town I left my car. Tim regularly kept me informed about the part he ordered and expected completion time. In the end my car is back to running perfectly and Tim even saved me several hundred dollars. I would recommend anyone with any transmission issues to go see Tim at APlus Transmission in Austin.

They went above and beyond to try and diagnose my vehicle. Ultimately it will have to go to the dealer but they were fantastic, thorough and easy to get in touch with. I m very happy with my experience and will be back should my vehicle need it.

This is where I was sent through warranty for a transmission repair on my van. The guys here were great. They finished my vehicle before expected and had great communication with my husband back and forth! I would recommend them to anyone needing transmission service.

My transmission needed rebuilding and the dealership was saying a month plus. I called a couple competitors, one even said I should wait for the dealership. Tim was exactly the solution I needed for my problem. Tim offered to road test and disassemble the trans the next day. He showed me all the results from the road test that the computer found and was able to take it apart and quote within the first day. I gave him the ok and the following week he completed it having had my truck for only 8 days. I am so glad I found APlus considering I needed two transmissions rebuilt and didn t have until Spring of 2024 to wait for them, I drop off my second truck Monday morning confident it will be taken care of as professionally and quickly.

A Plus Transmission gets the job done. Had my 2021 F350 transmission serviced at A Plus and process was point on. Scheduling and service time as expected. Overall, if you need transmission service, repair, etc... A Plus the place to go. Honest work at an honest price! Tim G was extremely helpful and above all profesisonal! Highly recommend A Plus!

I found Tim at A-plus just wonderful to deal with! I so appreciated getting an appointment the same week I called, so that I could wait on my car in the comfortable offices - with fresh organic coffee!Tim's personality and manner are lovely. Not only did he explain carefully to me what was wrong with my car, he got his guy to actually show me the transmission tray so that I could see all the metal gunk in it , and then sent me a thorough report, replete with photos, explaining what needed to be done.It was a good experience and I'm happy to recommend A-plus.

Just picked up my 1999 Nissan Pathfinder from A+ Transmission Specialists who diagnosed my transmission as in need of a rebuild after an exhaustive diagnosis, road test with a computer testing the transmission removed, disassembled & inspected . I am extremely happy with the Manager Tim and the Technicians at A+ who professionally handed & repaired my transmission, kept me informed and worked with my 3rd party warranty company by providing them with the diagnosis, failure points and repair estimate. The warranty company was the only difficulty in the whole process. Tim was outstanding and he handled every communication with the company perfectly and the company approved the repair estimate as submitted. All I had to do was pay my deductible of $50.00 and picked up my vehicle. Tim explained to bring my Pathfinder in at 500 miles for a quick check using the laptop connected to the car during the test drive to check the transmission operation. No appointment needed for this and a very short time to do it. I also was informed of the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. The best experience with any repair facility I have ever used. I big thank you to Tim and the Technicians at A+ Transmission Specialist at 2425 W. Ben White Blvd. In Austin Texas!

tim was incredibly helpful and they did a spectacular job on my transmission rebuild. the only thing i was less than satisfied with was the fact that i asked if my oil levels were okay and i was told they topped off all my fluids and that the oil looked fine but when i checked it a couple days later, my oil was dangerously low. other than that, wonderful experience! thank you tim for your kindness and for your help!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

I took my 2013 F150 to A Plus Transmission Specialists for a transmission rebuilt. Tim the manager was very helpful and courteous, and I appreciated the time he spent explaining the rebuild process to me. I received text messages from Tim regarding my repairs which included photos of the parts that needed to be fixed. It only took a week for the repairs which was a blessing. I got my truck back from the shop and it runs great, just like it was brand new! I highly recommend using A Plus Transmission Specialists and would use them again.Service: Transmission

I needed a transmission fluid and filter change on my 2014 Ram 1500. I initially called local auto mechanics around the area, but they were all quoting a $400+ for a transmission fluid change and an additional $225 to replace the filter ($175/hr for labor and $50 for the filter and pan). However, at A Plus they were offering only $50 for a complete change plus a 21 point inspection. Incredible.The manager welcomed me when I got there and offered me a water. I was in and out within an hour, and the results of my inspection were sent to me via text. I think this is a great business and if you need your transmission fluid swapped, I highly recommend coming here!
