Walked in with no appointment with a disaster. Steve's evaluated the problems and let me know an itemized list of issues and an estimate by the next early afternoon. They put in a new front end by the next day. Unfortunately, the parts supplier sent one wrong item. But Steve's had it within another 24 hours. So within 48 hrs, I had a new front end & alignment on a 4x4, and it was within the estimate! I will be back.

I've taken my car there several times and they always provide excellent service. Honest work and more than fair pricing. I have nothing but good things to say about Steves. They are my go-to for any car problems!

Radiator Replacement - Had an emergency with overheating and leaking radiator. Brought my truck in and he had the problem fixed in less than 24 hours. New radiator and fan clutch. Runs great! They will speak to you as clear as day and will get you where you need to go and the estimate was very fair.

Steve has helped us get the engine rebuilt and worked through getting all the sensors replaced and working. No engine light coming on all the time! Yay! He has literally worked on the truck from bumper to bumper. We are very pleased with Steve's work. All the guys there are very knowledgeable and friendly to work with.

Had my car towed from the dealership after they fixed a recalled part and then told me the repairs for why it still wouldn't run would be close to $3000 (we were never going to have the dealership fix it other than the recalled part). We've taken our cars to Steve's many times before and usually Chuck works on them. Chuck and Steve got my car up and running in no time for less than 4% of what the dealership wanted. Per usual, I'm very happy with the service and pricing!

If you care about your vehicle at all do not take it here! Steve is a liar and does not care nor take care of your car. He eye balls alignments instead of taking the time to turn the machine on. If someone lies about such an easy job just imagine what else they d lie about.My car was brought in for an alignment and afterwards still didn t drive straight and the steering wheel was still crooked, so I brought it back the next day after Steve agreed to take care of it. While he was fixing it I noticed the alignment machine wasn t even on nor connected to the car. Afterwards I asked him if it was okay, he smiled and said that my alignment was in spec. So I took it to another shop the SAME DAY and without needing to test drive my car my steering wheel was straight and I received a print out of Steve s alignment job . I took the print out of the before and after to Steve and got my $100 back. Steve s Auto is a joke and I will make sure and tell everyone I know.

This a really great place with some really great mechanics. They got my car all fixed up for me for a good price. I'll definitely be back the next time I have any issues

This place was recommended to me when I needed to get my front rotors and break pads and a front end alignment done. What a joke. These people need better people skills. Josh was the person that "helped" me. He was rude and unfriendly. Not to mention it costed me $460. The front end alignment was reasonably priced but just the FRONT rotors and pads were over $300. What a rip-off, I could have done that myself for less than $200. Definitely will not be going here again.Services: Auto brake repair, Auto maintenance

I pulled into Steve's shop, 45 mins before he closed for the weekend, with a massive oil leak. A quick inspection by this exceptional mechanic found that I had actually damaged my oil filter when I performed my own oil change. Despite the time of day, he took a quick moment to diagnose and replace my oil filter. A simple solution for what I thought was a breakdown. If I have any truck issues in the future, I will be bringing my truck back here.

We went with your reviews and trusted yall, figured you'd be an honest mechanic. After deciding it would cost too much. We went with our life long mechanic all the way in Dallas who let us know the motor was never taken out and checked on, and that no work had been done to cost as much as it did to be "checked". The problem was far from what we were told at this place, and cost no where near what we were going to pay. Has nothing to do with the motor not working, would have paid almost 5,000 for nothing.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I m not gonna go in to the hell I have been dealing with or money I m out of, but I will say this auto repair shop is the best place to go! If you question if there are still good honest genuine people in the world today, go here and see josh! I m literally in tears from his kindness and good heart! Even if you aren t satisfied with something you get done go and talk to him about it cause I believe he will do everything he can to help! I felt God stopped receiving any prayers from me, and today my faith was restored! Josh I will be calling you in the future, and I need you to know that act of kindness you bestowed on me is priceless and you saved me! These guys are amazing! Out of no where my car was having issues and they so accommodating. They did the work faster than I expected. I was desperate and these guys fixed it. 100% would recommend and if they were closer I would go every time I needed anything.

I was in town for a Scout camp at TRJ. On our way to camp my truck ck engine light started flashing. We made it to camp, but I was afraid we wouldn't make it home safely. I found these guys through Google, and called. I explained my situation and they told me to bring it in and they would ck it out. When I brought it in they immediately ckd it out, even though they were busy. They told me me the codes popping up weren't serious and I should be fine to get our troop home but should have it ckd out when I got back. I asked how much I owed and they said nothing. This is something you don't see much of any more. I really think if you need quality auto repair from an honest place then these are your guys. I know my troop and I are very thankful.

The dealership had my car for about a week and a half before they found the "problem" and tried to tell me I needed my entire a/c system replaced and wanted to charge me $2500 for it, plus another $300ish to replace a sensor. (Dealership was a last resort; nobody could tell me which sensor was actually out.) When I declined and came to pick up my car, they obviously tried to ask me about getting in a new carI took it to Steve's and he fixed it all for about $400 and it only took a few days. I recommend him to everyone.

This establishment has always done me right. Complete, good work with great communication. Honest and upfront before work is actually done. Completed in a timely manner. I've been a customer since 2007. He has serviced 4 of our vehicles. He came highly recommended to me and I'm glad.

These guys are great. Good mechanics for a fair price. Many people around Athens have recommended them to me, and I can see why. They are very honest, do good work, and don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. I would recommend these guys to anyone!

Was trying to get Inspection at Oil Change in Athens when I was called aside and told I had to have a Motor Mount before I could receive Inspection. So, I was new to this area and the Nice Guy who was trying to give me the Inspection answered me after I asked him, "Where would you send your Mother or Wife if they needed this done?" He said "Steve's Automotive." After giving me Directions to Steve's Automotive, I headed to Steve's and it was now past 4:30pm on a Friday. I entered and asked to speak to Steve and This nice Young Man came into waiting area from shop and after I explained the problems he asked for my car keys. Shop closed but, I was Not Told to Return the Next Day, I was told it would not take too long and make myself comfortable. Steve's Automotive will get ALL of Repair Jobs, from now on because Steve gave The Best Customer Service and did not even charge me for his staying over Shop Business Hours! Steve repaired my Motor Mount and The Final Cost was very reasonable. Bless you Steve's Automotive for your Courteous and Excellent work! *Satisfied Customer Thankful for Respectful Customer service and Great Repair Work even keeping inside of my car Clean!

Steve and his crew are top notch. Had a total front end done on my Ford 2006 F-250 SD 4x4 pickup. Made all the difference, and no more wobble. A real problem with these Ford trucks. Thanks Josh, Steve, for your quick and five star response. From a repeat customer.

We live in the Dallas area, but on a Friday afternoon our car broke down right outside of Athens. We had our car towed to Steve's and met Josh. Josh took our car in right at closing time, and even gave us a ride to our next destination. By Monday at noon he got our car working for a great price, but he went above and beyond to find information about a recall on our car. Instead of fixing the recalled parts and charging us for the work, he connected us to the car dealership in Dallas to make sure the repairs could be done there for free. Being from out of town it would have been easy to take advantage of us, but he was honest and helpful. If we lived in town, this would be our go-to auto place. We couldn't recommend it more!

The owner of this shop is very Dishonest. He replaced my transmission on my Chevrolet. I went out one morning to start the truck and the torque converter bolt from the transmission blew out of the bottom of my truck and hit the ground. The truck was stranded in my driveway. Steve called and tried to charge me over $500 for something that was his fault. After an argument and me wanting to see the damage before it was put back together he calls me and says it's fixed, come get it.Here we are 3 months later with a stranded truck due to the transmission. Steve refuses to honor his work. Not a reputable shop from my experience.

I took my car to Steve's Auto with a few error lights showing on the display. After checking it they called and told me they don't work on that kind of car. After I picked up the car the display was blown on it, which cost me an additional $800 to have fixed. They never mentioned that it blew out while they had it, and would only say they knew nothing about it when I called them to ask what happened. I don't understand all the claims and reviews talking about how honest this place is. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.

I brought my truck in for a wheel alignment and Steve was very kind and got me in and out very quickly. This is my go to place for wheel alignments and will continue to do business here as long as they remain open.

Sorry, didn't have a very good experience here. I was told one price, but it was doubled when I picked my car up. My battery wasn't the problem yet it was disconnected and I had to have computer reset elsewhere. I didn't ask for a diagnostic but had to pay in order to get my car out of there. For a Christian business they lack religion.
