We are 4 women of a certain age who were returning to Denver from Texas. Between Dumas & Dalhart while driving 75 mph (with no cars in front of us or coming toward us!) we heard a sound BOOM, felt wind blowing, & pulled over to discover the moonroof on our 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid had blown out! It sounded like a shotgun blast & thankfully the shade was closed or we would have been showered with shattered glass. We drove on to Dalhart at a much reduced speed and after striking out at one garage & a glass shop (closed), we went to Advanced Auto Repair as suggested by someone we googled & called. While it was not our lucky day, we were certainly very fortunate to have found them. Adan Vendor, the business' smiling, knowledgable owner (& all around service guy), came out & after looking at the damage, he immediately came up with some ideas so that we could get home. While the shop was quite busy, he took the time to take care of us because he knew that we had to get back to Denver.. He & a couple of his technicians carefully removed most of the remaining shattered glass, carefully vacuumed up as much as they could on the underlying sunscreen, then cut a piece of cardboard to cover the area & used gorilla tape to hold in place, taking care to avoid the pain edges except for a small area in the front that had to be done to hold it all in place in the face of the wind. Adan & team spent more than 2 hours inspecting, devising a plan, & working on our moon roof until he felt that we would be safe traveling back to Denver. We indeed did make it & the patch job held up!My 3 friends & I highly recommend Advanced Auto Repair. Adan & his team were very efficient, competent, resourceful, and trustworthy & they did it all in a very helpful & friendly fashion. We will not forget them & highly recommend them to anyone who needs excellent, competent service. Thanks Adan & team!

Overheated coming back from Angel Fire and limped into O'Reillys in Dalhart. New thermostat didn't do the trick. We met a fella at the O'Reilly who put us in touch w Mr. Adan at Advanced Auto Repair. Mr. Adan came to his shop after hours at 8pm on a Sunday night with his 3 young sons. That did not go unnoticed! He found the problem after a couple of tests and assured us 100% he would have it fixed first thing in the morning, knowing we still had 7hrs ahead to get home. He also did a few other things above and beyond. I wish this shop was in my town I would never go anywhere else. Nice to know there are still honest people in the world. While spending a day in Dalhart we met nothing but good, kind, generous quality people. Yall represent your town very well and we very much appreciate you! Thank you again Mr. Adan, so much appreciated!

I was passing through on a roadtrip when my car broke down and the guys at Advanced Auto Repair were great. They stayed late and worked hard to get me back on the road. The customer service was second to none and they did a fantastic job on my car. The owner even called me 30 minutes after I got back on the road to make sure the car was running like it should. Cannot recommend highly enough.

In 2010, I ordered a Ford F150 pickup with a 5.4 engine and towing package. I didn t notice problems with highway driving but when towing a trailer, even a small boat and trailer, had poor performance . My truck had 61,000 miles when Adan ran diagnostics and communicated and proposed repair plans and options with me. Adan replaced the original fuel pump with a higher performing pump, cleaned and adjusted the fuel injectors, replaced spark plugs and tuned up the engine. The engine performs much better with quicker acceleration and increased power. As a bonus, my MPG increased 3 to 5 miles per gallon. Adan revived our neighbors BMW. I m definitely taking my Lexus for all maintenance. You can t find a better, more honest and professional vehicle repair facility.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

The people here are the best, most reliable, most honest folks in the business I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They're dependable, and sincerely want nothing more than to take care of you and your vehicle. I was stranded 500 miles from home and from my destination, and even though they had me over the barrel, Adan and his coworkers were open, honest, and kind; not to mention BEYOND reasonable in their pricing. I would go to them every single time I have a car problem if I could -- it'd be worth the drive!Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning, Battery

I ran into car trouble on a road trip from Dallas to Denver with all of my belongings and my pets in the car. Adam answered the phone and opened the shop on a day it was supposed to be closed to help me out and get me back on the road. He turned what could ve been really scary into an awesome easy situation, and I can t recommend him or his business enough!

Possibly the best car repair service I have ever experienced!!! My husband & I broke down in car on the way to Texas. We limped into Advanced Auto Repair & were given 1st class service. Adan explained everything, got the right parts & installed as quickly as possible. Thanks to Adan & Art for getting us back on the road again. We are so great- full to them !!

I can t think of a better place to unfortunately break down at. The owner and his whole crew was more than understanding about needing my truck fix asap. I was trying to rush to my son who s in the hospital and they worked their magic working hard to get it fix for me. I couldn t be more grateful to have them work on my truck and completely went out of their way to get it done within a day! Thank you so much for the best service ever!! Y all are amazing and forever thankful for y all!

Adam provided great service. We were traveling through Dalhart on our way to Colorado. He answered my phone call after hours and made arrangements to fix my car after the check engine light came on. He ordered the part and actually had the car ready two days before I could cone back through. Adam let me know what was happening through the entire process.Service: Auto engine diagnostic
