I have been personal friends with Robert for several years. I know he s a great guy with high moral standards. I did not hesitate to call him when I needed to replace my transmission. He helped me find a used transmission, had it shipped to his shop, they replaced it very quicklyI got a used transmission, because my vehicle is 13 years old, and to get a new one would ve cost thousands of dollars more.. I was very pleased with the outcome, he did excellent quality work.He has many many years of experience, and I am very pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend you use Robert if you need to have your transmission repaired or replaced. He is the best around!Service: Transmission

Highly recommend Texas Best for your transmission needs. Robert and his team came highly recommended based on their reputation for being experts and being of high integrity. After my experience, I can vouch that they know what they are doing and most important they are very honest and transparent. I had to have my transmission rebuilt and they took care of me in a few days time. Afterward I had an exhaust leak throwing a check engine light, which may have unintentionally happened during the rebuild (unsure?). They could have easily played the "it wasn't us" card, but they took the approach of "in case we did it, we'll fix it" and had that exhaust leak fixed in one morning after squeezing me in unplanned.Service: Transmission

Robert did not honor price he quoted for replacing transmission. Quoted 4500. After 3 weeks of having the vehicle and zero communication, I called and Robert told me it would be 6800 because the transmission was more than he thought. He didn t do his homework when he quoted me, then wouldn t honor his own quote. Communication is nonexistent. Definitely not Texas Best Transmission.Service: Transmission

Mr. Clark is a great transmission guy. I've taken my truck to him twice now (second time was due to a coolant leak into the trans cooler lines, not an issue with his work) and have been very happy with the results. Labor (the majority of any auto trans rebuild) isn't the cheapest around, but he does good work and gives a 1 year warranty provided you actually come in for your checkup.He talked to me about what the application for the unit would be and upgraded the parts that actually needed it while replacing other sections with OEM parts, giving me the transmission I needed without extra cost.I'm fine tearing down a manual, but the next time the magic smoke leaks out of an automatic, I'm taking it to Texas Best.

If you like straight forward diagnosis and repairs for your transmission, Robert and his crew at Texas Best Transmission are the ones to see. I was happy about their no-nonsense approach. The repair went super quick and was for the price quoted. The shop is tucked away and clean. I highly recommend for all your transmission needs!

It is very hard to find a good reputable transmission guy. I was introduced to Robert 4 years ago and had him build me a transmission for my truck. The truck is still running strong four years later and I have sent multiple people to him who are also very pleased with his work. Thanks Robert for always coming through!!!!

They work hard to stay up to date with today's technologies.They did a 10 day review on my transmission to verify it was still working properly.They also changed a rear seal for me and it is so nice parking my 03 Tahoe with no oil spots on the ground!

Twice, with 2 different GM vehicles, I have had this shop rebuild the transmissions for my Yukon XL and my Express 2500 work van. Warranty only covers 12000 miles, and right around 20k miles they both went out. Robert warrantied the Yukon even at 20k miles, but told me it would cost me at least $600 to do the Express van. Transmission rebuilds should last longer than 20k miles and with the pattern now set by this shop, I believe I will take my business elsewhere. Buyer beware.Service: Transmission

I would recommend this shop to anyone who doesnt want to get screwed over by other transmission shops telling you need a new or rebuild your transmission. I went to 2 shops in Mansfield with great reviews and they were going to take it to me. End result was a 275.00 repair. I've been driving my ford explorer since September and I promise you I'm a happy return customer

Very nice and the speed of which the repair was performed was awesome. Had the transmission in my Ford Expedition rebuilt after overdrive went out. Suv is running great once again like a brand new car again. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs transmission work.

Robert is a breath of fresh air in the the auto repair business. Has worked on my son's Prelude transmission, and is currently repairing the same Trans that my son messed up (put it in reverse while coasting to a stop). He's the best and very trustworthy and I would NEVER use another transmission repair service. Keep up the good work Robert!

Very friendly and quick service. I went in to get a skip shift eliminator installed on my 2020 camaro (such a travesty that the manufacturer made that necessary :/). They installed it in about 15 minutes and charged me a very fair rate for the effort. Would recommend

If you're in need of transmission repair, go no further than Texas Best Transmission. Our Chevy Uplander transmission crashed. We took it to Robert Clark and let a true professional perform his magic. Quick turnaround, reasonable price, and no leaks. Great experience! Thanks Robert!

Recently took my son's car in for what appeared to be a transmission problem. I actually had to have the car towed in. The guys at Texas Best diagnosed the problem as a loose sensor,and repaired it for a very fair price.Really appreciate their honesty, I hope that I never have a transmission problem in the future, but if I ever do, it's good to know someone who is honest and treats people right.A thousand thanks

We took my wife's Honda Civic in to Texas Best Transmission for a transmission rebuild. The guys there took great care of us and the Civic. They named this shop right! Robert rocks! I recommend them highly.

Great place fast service took my 2010 Tahoe in for transmission work owner Robert did a excellent job highly recommend this shop fast friendly and honest service. I'm planning on taking my 1968 Chevy Impala in for transmission work that is how much I trust this shop I trust him with my classic car.

Would be cautious with these guys. Just spoke to Robert about getting a repair estimate for a 1-2 shift solenoid replacement on a 2007 Pontiac GT. I was told it's a huge repair and would run around $800. I had already spoke to two other repair shops. One had quoted $275 and another at $325, both quotes included parts, labor and draining/refilling transmission fluid. Glad I'm calling around and doing my homework.

The owner robert is a phsyco we didnt exchange any words except when i showed him the car scan results i had and i asked for a quote he flipped out went crazy and screamed at me that i cant just walk in thier hover around him and get a price ...even though he didnt instruct me to wait anywhere or anything like that. I warn everyone NOT to go to him i really think most of these review are from his friends and family not real customers. This guy is not normal in the head.

I took my car in because I though I was having transmission issues, but it turned out I was having problems with an oil leak. Mr. Robert called me and told me exactly what he did when he looked at my car and was polite and showed great customer service. When I do have a true problem with my transmission I will surely bring it here next time.

It's been about 13 months now since I had my transmission rebuilt here. Wanted to wait tonsee how it held up since I've had poor experiences at other shops in the DFW area. He found the obstructions in the cooling lines the first shop missed and installed a Translab shift kit in my Accord which addresses a lot of the issues Honda automatic have. More than a year and 15,000 miles later it is still shifting great!uch better than even the original transmission.If you have a Honda, this is the first shop you should call!

Robert Clark is a Master of his trade. Knowledgeable, Professional, Punctual, Honest. After a bad experience with another shop R.C. stepped right in and fixed the problem in half the time and half the cost. Great job!
