After having dealt with very poor customer service at Audi , I brought my car in to fifth gear automotive. They were exceptionally professional, called me to go over the issues with my vehicle, and had it repaired within a very timely manner. Their pricing was very reasonable, considering it is a European car repair service. We have now brought in both mine and my daughters Audi s. I would definitely recommend this service repair shop.

My recent encounters with Fifth Gear Automotive Service & Repair in Argyle have left me thoroughly dissatisfied and frustrated. Initially drawn in by positive reviews, my first experience with a simple battery replacement was satisfactory. However, subsequent visits for more extensive services have been nothing short of disappointing.During my second visit, I opted for a full service costing around $3,000. Despite the hefty price tag, I was initially pleased with the customer care and service provided by James, who diligently explained the issues and outlined a plan of action. He assured me that spending approximately $1,500 would address the check engine light concern, with additional diagnostics to follow.However, my experience took a sharp turn for the worse when dealing with Aston, who lacked the professionalism and expertise displayed by James. Despite authorizing the expenditure of $1,500, the check engine light persisted, prompting Aston to demand another $1,500 for further repairs. His inability to articulate the issue, coupled with his rudeness, left me feeling frustrated and apprehensive.Regrettably, my misgivings were confirmed when, after shelling out a total of $3,000, the check engine light remained unresolved. Aston's subsequent insistence on spending an additional $300 to replace air purification sensors only added insult to injury. His failure to elucidate the connection between the sensors and the persistent issue, combined with his dismissive attitude, further eroded my confidence in the establishment.While James, who initially provided excellent service, was on vacation during my ordeal, his absence only served to highlight the glaring disparity in quality between him and his colleague. James had understood my concerns and offered reassurance, whereas Aston left me feeling deceived and disillusioned.Ultimately, having spent a significant sum without resolving the check engine light on my 2012 Mini Cooper, I am left questioning the value of the repairs undertaken. The lack of transparency, coupled with the apparent disregard for customer satisfaction, has soured my perception of Fifth Gear Automotive Service & Repair. As a result, I cannot in good conscience recommend their services to others.

A nice looking, professional and clean shop. I stopped by without an appointment to have my brakes checked out since they make noise in mornings and they did a free inspection on my Mustang to let me know what else it might need. Turned out the brakes did not need to be replaced at all and they just needed some new hardware that was rubbing. I didn't think that with such low mileage my car would need anything but they showed me and gave some ideas on service by mileage and also what to look for coming up with my car. It is nice to find a shop that treats you like a person/customer and not a dollar sign$$$$.Service: Auto maintenance

WOW Wow wow!! I took my car in today for an AWD alignment. I had just put on four new tires, and I wanted to make certain the alignment was good. I was so surprised to receive a text this afternoon stating the alignment was within specs and an alignment wasn t necessary. My car was good to go!! I would never have know if an alignment was done or not, and I could have paid for one. Talk about honesty!! Thank you for your honesty today. You made my day!!

When my car needed a jump start I got the battery checked at AutoZone and was told I may have left something on etc. that the battery was fine. My car died again so long story short-ish, I left it with Fifth Gear and let them know the battery had been checked and was worried it could be more. They checked it out and let me know it was ONLY the battery. Thankful they are honest and didn t just claim it was worse. I ve now stuck with them for a while. They do a full check on your car and send you a link that shows the condition of your car in detail to let you know what is running great and what could use maintenance or be fixed. Their communication is great and they will explain any issues you may have with your car. You can tell they strive to make sure they provide excellent service and they do. Honest, Great communication, Professional. Highly Recommend

These guys went above and beyond to deal with the warranty company for repairs they should cover. Super informative, and transparent, which was so refreshing after being at the "dealership" where it was nothing but circles and no help. They did the work in a very timely manner, and will have our business next time our Range Rover needs work.

It's now day 3 since I left a voicemail message for both this as well as their Le isville location as a first time customer wanting to get pricing for getting my 50k mileage services done for being the my Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Apparently they must be too important to acknowledge and return calls for new clientele leads and for this reason alone, I'd consider sticking with my Mercedes-Benz of Grapevine Services going forward. Thanks but no thanks for your "valuable" time!Update on 01/02/2024 (After Response from Owner) - Rather than coming at me to tell to reach back out to you on Tuesday Morning once you're back in the shop, why not do right by your customers and return the voicemail messages they leave for you? It defeats the purpose of voicemail if you're just going to ignore them in the first place.

Truely amazing with the quality of service, proficiency, super fast timing and customer service. Dropped off my BMW, they gave me a ride back to my home and again picked me up from my home. Brought my car in for a shaking problem. The guys were really quick to get me an answer and a full write up on my car within a couple hours. They found my front brakes were running really low. They had great pricing and had my car back to me the same day! Great job guys. Keep it up.

Cory, James, Alex and the team are wonderful - we had our foreign car brought to them and they moved mountains to get us back on the road. Fifth Gear Automotive-Argyle SAVED Christmas!!Here s the story My child has only asked for ONE thing this year. A pink car. We have tried convincing her of 56378 other things but she s stuck to this one thing. So, I did a ton of research and found a car that would be big enough to last her a few years.Black Friday I made the big purchase from Amazon and we hid the large box in my parent s garage in Northlake. So, yesterday, I took the day off work to go to my child s Christmas Party at school and decided to head over that morning to see if I could put the car together since we only have a few more days before Christmas!I get everything out and the very first step is to insert the rear axle to attach the back wheels. Problem is, the rear axle has a 45* bend on one side and doesn t want to go in. I start frantically looking up YouTube videos of other people building these cars and they all have straight axles! Why is mine bent?!I jump on Amazon, contact seller, fill out the form. Look for any similar car to be shipped if I can t build the one I have, nothing on Amazon can be delivered before Christmas! Call Amazon and talk to a really nice guy that confirms nothing can get to me soon but he will try to get me a replacement part by January .This is when my Dad may have felt my panic from inside the house and comes out to the garage. He suggests I may call some auto places nearby and see if they have a tool to bend the steele bar straight. It s my only hope! So I start calling, 3 different shops were very kind but couldn t help until I called Fifth Gear!Ashton Wyatt, the Service Advisor, picks up the phone and says he may be able to help but would need to see the axle. So I rush up there and he is SO kind! He says they can try to quickly bend it cold but it may likely break so he would rather have some time to heat it up and bend it properly, in between the other ACTUAL cars they re working on for the day! He asked if I could give them a few hours and I tell them OF COURSE!He calls a few hours later and says not only is the rod straight but that they even touched up the paint and it s dry and ready for pick up!!! When we went to pick it up they REFUSED any sort of payment to thank them for their time and service! They said they were just grateful they could help save Christmas!!! And they did just that! Seriously y all, if you have any automotive needs that Fifth Gear in Argyle can service, I would HIGHLY recommend checking them out! It s obvious that they have hearts of GOLD and are in the business of helping people! I m SO very grateful and I know you will be too if you re in need!

The fifth gear team was quick to respond, professional, performed a detailed inspection of all critical components of the engine, drivetrain, suspension, and brakes. Everything necessary for me to drive the car safely.Fifth gear offered options for repairing my vehicle and completed the work with impeccable detail, skills, craftsmanship, and in a very reasonable timeframe. Have used these guys for all of my vehicles for more than a year. Something has changed since my first experience. Customer service and accountability are a thing of their past. The final straw was when my bill for my last truck service was more than twice what I was quoted. Unapologetic when questioned about it I was also told not to drive it too far because they weren t sure they d fixed it. Guess the three trucks I routinely brought in weren t enough to warrant more attention.

Great experience at Fifth Gear in Argyle went in because my engine undercover was scraping, due to the previous place that changed my oil and didn t put the cover back on as needed, and talked to Monroe and he had Ryan work on literally for 2 minutes installed a few missing clips and I was out of there! Great people and great customer service and they said it was such an easy job and small fix walked out of there without paying a dime! My wife's Volvo S60 had been using oil at a high rate. She reported that the check engine light was on. I noticed that the engine was making a noise that sounded like excess vacuum. I dropped the car off and heard nothing from 5th Gear for a day or so. After calling (they did not call me), they said that the check engine light was related to several different things and requested that they do an oil change since the car was using oil (I was wondering, why change the oil? But I went along with it).One check engine code that came up was that the fuel mixture was too lean. A quick search of the internet revealed a common problem with Volvos is a broken membrane in the PCV system that causes oil use, lean mixture, and the above-mentioned noise. I called my mechanic from my previous home in Pennsylvania, and he diagnosed the problem immediately. A new PCV system would fix the problem. It took 5th Gear two full days to do the diagnosis that should have taken one hour at most. I did have 5th Gear change the PCV valve and I am happy with that. Also, to change the PCV valve in this Volvo requires an oil change. Gratefully, 5th gear did not charge me for the original oil change, but I am sure that the cost for second oil change is built into the cost of changing the PCV. I will think twice before going back to 5th Gear due to the fact that it took them so long to finally diagnose the car appropriately (anyone with knowledge about Volvo PCV systems would have had it figured out immediately) and their lack of communication during that process.
