These folks are great. They helped me get my VW back on the road again as I had a cross country trip from Missouri to Arizona to accomplish. My ad blue tank (diesel TDI) was causing me issues in Oklahoma City. I called ahead to Amarillo...it was over 3 hours away. If I'd shut the car off it wouldn't have started again. They got me right in, got it fixed (recalibration?) ....no charge...and I was on my way within 30 minutes.. Made it to my Tucumcari room for the night and Phoenix the next day ...three cheers for the fine folks at Amarillo Street Volkswagen!!!

Bought a 2014 Cadillac and 2 months later the differential gave out. Make sure you check car thoroughly before buying. $4,600 fix!

First I want to say the customer service was the saving grace. Everyone I spoke to was nice and understanding. There is a serious issue with the speed of service. I brought my vehicle in before 10am for an oil change and brake pad replacement. The quote I was given was by 3pm my car would be ready, but it was 6pm by the time I could pick it up. They said I did not need brakes replaced so they didn t charge me, but that means it took 8 hours for just an oil change. There needs to be a change in the process if this is a normal time frame for service.Services: Brake service & repair, Oil change

I have a 2022 Atlas, and I had an appointment for 2 recalls. I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation to be done while there. They had all day to work on the car. Got a call that it was ready at 9:28 a.m. Went to pick it up at 4:00 and tires and oil had not been done. I had to wait 2 hours on my car. By the time I drove it home, the check engine light came on. I had to take it back the next day for another wait. They had not screwed the oil cap on and oil had leaked out on the engine which caused the check engine light to engage. The manager finally had to find the problem. I ve always had great service at Street, but this was not one of those times.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

All in all the service was okay.We had several things totaling just under $2800. One of the items we needed checked was the AC. Sometimes it would blow cold, other times warm. They told us they didn t find anything wrong, charged $197 for freon but when we picked the car up it took five minutes for the AC to start blowing cold.Also we asked for a front license plate frame to be mounted, $76 later and the license plate was still on the dash when we picked up the car and no bolts to attach the license plate!Also after paying $2800 for services we thought they would do a courtesy wash. Nope.We think the service could have been more complete and more courtesy shown.Service: Auto maintenance

Had to stop during a cross country drive, and didn't have the best experience. I had to call my normal dealership for the folks in Amarillo to honor my warranty, because they initially told me the warranty was only valid at the location I bought my car at. They did order a Lyft for me to wait for my vehicle. After 2 hours, I got no word back from the service department. I had to pay for a ride back to the dealership, and found out my car had been done for quite some time.I would not recommend coming in for service at this location, and I certainly will not be returning, even under extreme circumstances.

The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I have never had any issues. I do wish they would communicate better about what is going on. I was initially told the service would take a couple of hours; however, it took closer to 4 hours. The only update I received was after 3 hours that they were finishing up, but I waited about another hour before being told anything else. Normally I would have used the shuttle to leave but that not an option today due to personal reasons and I don t mind waiting. I would have just appreciated an update around your 2 as to what was going on and why it was taking longer than planned.Service: Tire rotations

I had an 8am appointment on a Thursday and didn't get my car back until the next Tuesday at around 4:00...4.5 business days to get the wheels aligned and a part replaced on the air conditioning . Every time I called, they gave some sort of excuse as to why it wasn't finished and when I called late afternoon Tuesday, the guy who answered, said, "It's ready" and hung up on me. The car is still under warranty AND I have a service plan that covers just about everything...I guess if they're not making money on you, you get pushed to the end of the line.Services: Wheel alignment, Air conditioning

This is a great dealership! Employees treat you like family. My repair took awhile and I live an hour away so a ride was arranged to a from where I needed to go in Amarillo to take care of other business. My car was in good hands. Did not perform service correctly to meet acceptable expectations. Failed to carefully inspect the works performed - did not tightly close the lid of the coolant reservoir tank, causing spillage and could potentially result in damage to the engine and the customer getting stranded on the road. Warning signal came on. I had to return immediately to the dealership. While the issue was identified and resolved, I wasted my time because of a simple mistake that could have been avoided. Despite service failure was recovered, my experience was less than satisfactory. My confidence in future transactions has been diminished.Service: Oil change

The sales representative, David Ortiz, and the service department went above and beyond to take care of us! We had just purchased our new Jetta and there was a huge nail in the tire. Poor service. My car is there for the 3rd time with the same issue. I actually did the troubleshooting for them and let them know what was wrong but they ignored me. After the 2nd time in they said my car was done and ready. I went to the parking lot and checked to see if they resolved what I told them was wrong and they did not. It wasn t until I showed them a video of the issue that my concerns and issue was even addressed. So needless to say my vehicle is in the shop for the 3rd time. If there was another Volkswagen dealer close I would take it somewhere else. Also my vehicle is new so it was warranty work. So had to be done at dealershipService: Brake service & repair

I m from Saint Augustine Florida and opted to replace my tires on my Volvo in Amarillo instead of Jacksonville after meeting John and the wonderful family at Street Volkswagen in March. We met the whole gang in March when I dropped my twin sons off of n Amarillo to be the new voices of the Amarillo Sod Poodles. My husband and I were so impressed by Street Volkswagen that I decided to wait to replace my tires until I got to Amarillo after driving thousands of miles through Texas and New Mexico. They handled everything for me and went over and above in every way! I look forward to buying my next car from them.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

It took nearly 3 hours for an oil change. When I checked out, I was handed what I thought was a receipt. After I got home I realized that it was a notification that my battery needed service. Would ve liked to have dealt with that while it was being serviced all that time. Otherwise, very friendly staff.

Made an appointment a week earlier and told them I would have to wait on it since I lived out of town. Took car in at 10:39 for 11 o clock appointment. Checked around 12:30 to see is out progress and they had gone to lunch which was fine. Then check about 1:3o and service rep said he would go check. He came back and said Atlas was known for squeaky brakes for about the first 20k miles and it might need new brake shoes but they couldn t do it today. Also had ask to fix remote start and he said they would have to reprogram it and it would take 30 to 45 minutes to do that. He waited 3 hrs to tell me that it was normal for squeaky brakes and they would need to reprogram my remote start.Not to happy with service.

I came to Amarillo from Houston four years ago for college and now that I m graduating I m almost sad to be saying goodbye to the service department at Street VW, from replacing my clutch pack, replacing my clock spring, and finding millimeter sized cracks when something was wrong, they always took care of me and had the best customer service, starting from when you pull up and they come out to greet you, to a free inspection video of a walk around of your car, to the homey waiting area with snacks, drinks, and wifi, to getting me reliable and comfortable loaners when my car wasn t up to par, they always came through and were honest and on time as best they could be.Special shout out to Marcy for coming onto the team and immediately having an amazing attitude and great personality that shines through in how she takes the extra mile for her customers.Services: Transmission, Auto windshield repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto battery replacement, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim, Tire rotations, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair, Brakes, Vehicle safety inspection, Wiper blade installation, Brake service & repair, Auto maintenance, Battery, Oil change

I m really disappointed with the customer service here. My wife had made an appointment for a oil change and to see an issue with the passenger seatbelt.. she was told her appointment was at 9 am. She showed up at 9 and was told that she was going to be there all day and might have to leave her Vehicle there overnight.. she was told that oil changes are only walk ins.. why not tell her this over the phone.. a simply improvement of communication will go a long way.. we don t live in Amarillo so we can t just go home That s why we got the appointment.. not a good look for Street Volkswagen

I'm extremely impressed with Alex Montes and his team in providing my car with an oil change. He was kind, polite and professional. When I arrived home from Street, one of my front tires was almost flat. When someone called from Street this morning, I told them about the tire. I was told that they would either send someone out from Street or another service to fix my tire. They called back again and I accidentally hung up on them and please tell whoever called, I apologize. A young man, named Gibran, arrived at my home, took the tire off my car, took it back to Street for repair, and brought it back and put it back on my car. Gibran was professional, polite, and worked quickly. I believe he is a young man who will go far with his life. Thank you!Service: General repairs & maintenance

John and the team at Street Volkswagen, including our service advisor Marcy, provided OUTSTANDING service to my wife and I while driving from Phoenix to Oklahoma City. We encountered an unexpected warning light on our Audi and they got our vehicle back in the service bay quickly despite the lack of an appointment. We were back on the road soon, but while we were there we appreciated the attention and frequent updates they provided. If I lived in Amarillo, this experience would certainly factor in to my "where to shop" decision when looking to purchase my next vehicle. Traveling through Amarillo Texas when our oil light came on, we stopped to check the oil once the car cooled. We couldn't get hood open, called VW and went there. They got it open and added a quart of oil. They were great! Customer service was suburb!!!

We were traveling from Oakland to New Orleans, and we broke down near Amarillo. Obviously we were anxious about getting back on the road and worried that repairs would take days out of our vacation. Will at Street Volkswagen treated us like a local customer he was friendly, helpful, and communicative, and he got us in and out as quickly as he could. The whole staff couldn t have been more friendly and helpful. If they treat someone traveling through this well, you can assume they treat locals like royalty. Thanks, Will! From start to finish this was the BEST car buying experience I have ever had! Joel L. Was our salesperson, and he was amazing. I test drove a 2021 Atlas about 3 weeks before purchasing, and Joel was open to me texting him questions. I even 100% negotiated the deal through text messages. In total we probably spent less than 2 hours at the dealership, which as a busy mom that means the WORLD to me. Joel O. handled our financing, and he too went above and beyond for us. Although we were satisfied with the sales price, and we were comfortable with the monthly payments, we were surprised when Joel was able to work an extra warranty into our deal while also making our monthly payments almost $200 less than we were expecting. That is customer service. Shane was amazing too, and even though I spent less than 2 hours at the dealership over the course of 3 weeks, he was able to call me by name and checked on us often. Finally, Owen who wasn t even our salesman was kind and accommodating. We were waiting for our salesman while he finished up with another client. Owen walked by and asked if we would like some water or if he could get us anything. We had our four children with us, and they were thirsty so we took him up on the offer of water. When I came back two days later to finish everything up with our purchase, Owen recognized me and spoke to me. Let me tell you that kind of service goes a LONG way. Finally let me say, I have purchased cars from many dealerships through the years, and I have never experienced a dealership with happier employees. Everyone seemed to be LOVING what they do. It also impressed me how many of them drive VWs personally. Street VW is doing something right for sure.

My daughter s 2010 VW Passat left her stranded after a belt snapped. A mechanic replaced the belt, but told us that an oil leak had caused the belt to break, so we contacted Street VW for a diagnostic.John at Street VW was thorough & communicated very well with us. She had two oil costly oil leaks requiring many parts to be replaced (which lined up with what two other mechanics had already acknowledged.)Our family was very happy with the communication, professionalism, & end result. We hope to have many more years of use out of her Passat & plan to use Street VW from this day forward!

Drive 100 miles to meet appt time 10:00. I get checked in and wait in the area. I was in the waiting room for several hours without anyone telling me what was going on other than they are looking at it I walked around the back lot after the second inquiry that afternoon and my car was parked outside. The owner walked by, I asked if I could talk to him. He finally addresses the wait and got it fixed. What is the purpose of an appt if you still sit in the waiting area for 5 hours for a filter replacement and why is it so hard for someone to communicate to me what is going on with my car???Service: Auto engine diagnostic

My daughter Dianna that works there brought the car in at 730 and told Kim they right front tire was totally flat and sired up just to get from house to dealership. Kim called at 815 I saying car was fine. So Dianna texted and asked her to check the right front tire again. When she went up there she had wrote up the wrong tire. I purchased a 2019 VW Jetta from this car dealer. Shortly after the purchase the sunglass compartment would not close, the small hooks had broke off and the compartment door would not latch, blocking my rear view mirror. It was fixed, only after my husband showed up to deal with the issue with me. About another 9 months later the same thing happened again. I don t even use the sunglasses holder for this reason. I took the car in, the guy said yeah bring it in, it will take an hour, you could even wait here. Attempted to do that once, the service dept said no we don t have time. It was 4:30, website says they close at 7. Went in again, this time earlier at 3:30, again the service dept said no, we don t have time today. Let me make you an appt. For next week. I m beyond disappointed in the service and the manufacturer.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Took my vehicle to dealership to get "serviced" under warranty, they did not not want to honor warranty because of year model of vehicle until they reluctantly looked up the deal sheet when vehicle was purchased with certified pre owned platinum warranty, at that point I made an appointment 6 days later and dropped of vehicle where the "technician" said my vehicle was fine and no issue was found, I left it for 3 days only to be told 3 times in a row that no issue was present, I picked up vehicle to fix myself after the customer service at dealership was the worst experience I've ever dealt with. I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Street VW and I have told everyone about my experience hoping to save someone else from such headaches in the future.Service: Engine repair

We were driving across country on a 30 hour road trip. About 100 miles from street Volkswagen. The 2015 passat started acting up. We called Street Volkswagen and even though they were booked out . Due to our situation they got us in and back on the road in less than a day. Very professional and just amazing they were life savers. And a very special shout out to Will Gordon .
