This is a premium automotive mechanical shop specializing in transmission repair. They are typical priced but not competitive about it. Financing is available. They have a great turnaround time on the repairs even though the parking lot looks to be overcrowded with vehicles in the repair queue.The lobby area is not customer friendly, but then again transmission work is a drop off type situation. The staff is friendly and the service techs do a great job and seem to be well trained in service.

I have a 2013 Ford F150 that had the common "lead frame" recall. I was still under warranty when I took it to Gene Messner Ford, who sat on it for a month, did nothing, then denied it was even the problem. I bought the part from Tri-State Ford intending to put it on myself after receiving a quote of nearly 3K. Due to recommendations, I called Scotties', spoke with Art about the situation. He had me in and out of the shop in less than 24H, for 1/5th of the cost, and with a transmission service. Definitely one of the best experiences with any shop I've ever had.

It was great! I got there snd checked in at the desk.It wasn't long before the transmission technician came and got my keys and explained what he was going to do.Within the hour he returned to let me know everything checked out good in my transmission.That was VERY good news.Thank you all, have a Happy New and Prosperous Year!!!!

Let's just say this would be the third time leaving me truck there in 2 months for same issue. The problem I have is that if this is the third time my truck should be priority now to get it fixed asap and fixed the right way I shouldn't have to come a third time I mean come on. I know it on warranty but if is going bad get me a better part and give me a call and tell me what's going on with my truck rather have me wait 2 weeks and nothing from them I'm the one who's going over and asking and all I get is we are waiting for the part but it's been weeks now. Whm tje time come for it to be ready I'm scared to drive it out due to them ot getting it fixed the first time. Just so frustrating.

I was recommended by a friend of mine and he was not kidding! These guys were great. From the minute I entered to the minute I left. They were very busy and even then managed to squeeze me in. They were very good at explaining things and had great customer service. Art was very helpful and professional. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a transmission shop to come here. If I ever need any sort of transmission work I know exactly where I'm going!

My van had broken down in a little town and got towed into Amarillo. We ended up at Scottie's and I will never forget. The whole crew went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. They have superb customer service. Just for that, I highly recommend Scottie's

We are truly thankful for Art and the mechanics who worked on our Suburban. We were traveling through Amarillo, heading for New Mexico when our transmission went out. Hugh Inconvenience! We were pulling a Pop Up Camper and had 6 people in the truck. We called one mechanic and they said they were 3 weeks out for any assistance. We then called "Scotties Transmission." Art was able to immediately take the truck for a test drive and diagnose the problem. They were able to rebuild the whole transmission and add upgraded parts in less than 2 days for us! We honestly thought our trip was over when we heard the transmission went out. We were blown away with how quick they fixed the issue. Art was very professional and very helpful. We were able to get back on the road just after 2 days of the truck being in the shop. We drove the truck to New Mexico and Colorado! We put some serious miles on the transmission especially in Colorado. No issues at all! Scotties Transmission saved our vacation! Thank you so much!Service: Transmission

Towed my 05 duramax/allison 1000 in. Suddenly lost all fluid. No warning. Art told me he would find out what went wrong. He did just that. Next day in fact. Fellow dirty max owners do not buy the off brand trany spin on filters. Mine blew the gasket. I was relived. And lucky. Honestly goes along way especially doing business. They did me right. I will take any further transmission issues should I have any to them. Thanks again .

My old green truck with camper gave up the ghost near Amarillo recently. Had it towed to Scotties. The rebuilt transmission had gone out. They knew just how to deal with Jasper re warranty and were able to get it in as soon as Jasper delivered a new one. Professional, talented, organized crew. Many many thanks!

I took my Tahoe in last week for a transmission flush and they said it would be ready after lunch and it was literally ready at 12:19. Plus the Woman in the office is super friendly she really deserves a bonus guys!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Scotties was amazing. I brought my older truck in for a transmission leak. Unfortunately it was still leaking when I came to pick it up. I showed them and they asked me to wait while they looked at it. They found a bad o-ring and replaced it without charging me. I was able to wait but they offered to take me home before they realized it was a relatively quick repair. I highly recommend Scotties.Service: Transmission

I had the best experience at Scottie's. I was told that my transmission was leaking at my last oil change. I never had a need for transmission service but remember Scottie's commercials since I was a kid and since they have been around so long, I figured they must be doing something right. Art was awesome. I dropped off my car and they evaluated the situation. Turns out there is no need for transmission work at all. He provided pictures and explained it thoroughly. Considering there was no charge for this service, I am blown away that he took the time. The knowledge, professionalism, and customer service at Scottie's is first rate. I called Scotties Transmission middle of the day on 12/06/22 letting them know that I believed I needed to have my transmission replaced. I was in Amarillo for work and was supposed to leave the next day to go to Oklahoma. I was in a major pickle because our company is based in Georgia. Art, said to come in as soon as possible and they would see what they could do. Art and his team did a transmission rebuild in less than 24 hours. By 12/07/22 at closing time they had finished, and test drove my Tahoe. I've put over 6,000 miles on it since and haven't had any issues. These are wonderful people and go above and beyond. They were even nice enough to shuttle me to my hotel for the evening. Thank you again!Service: Transmission repair

My transmission went out on Thursday afternoon before a holiday weekend. I called a different shop and was told they could look at it but it would be 3 weeks before they could get to it. Another shop didn't even answer their phone. I called Scottie's and spoke with Art. He was very nice and helpful from the start. I asked how soon they could get to it because we were going out of town soon and we have a large family that only fits in my suburban. He said they could get it done. He kept me informed on their progress the entire time through text and photos, so I knew exactly what was going on. He knew I was in a time crunch and his guys buckled down to get it finished 2 days earlier than they planned!! I am impressed. He was honest, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire process. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Thank you for very satisfactory repair that was performed on my Trans and brakes, greatly appreciated.I've been to Scottie's Transmissions twice and been very pleased with the service I've received. The first time they over hauled my transmission and the second time I had my brakes replaced. I haven't had any issues with both repairs. The staff is welcoming, friendly and professional. The technicians very expperienced, well run operation and priced fairly. Scheduling was easy, the service was quick and I was informed throughout. You can trust that the work they do is required and that they have our best interest with regards to our cars, our safety and our wallet. I would highly recommend Scotties Transmission to anyone.

We have had a great experience with Scotty's we had a transmission on an 07 Chevy rebuilt 5 years ago. We recently had a little leak on the transmission front seal and they fixed it with no questions asked and no charge to us. I will keep taking my vehicles there

I contacted Scottys transmission after reviewing Amarillo transmission shop reviews online. Scottys transmission was the highest rating of them all. Once they completed the work on my vehicle and I picked it up it was clear why they are so highly rated. Art from Scottie s Transmission saw us on an emergency stop while we were hauling horses cross country and our transmission was over heating. We were told by another shop that we needed a $1500+ repair but thankfully they didn t have the part so we moved on to Scottie s who immediately ordered the part to arrive the next day. They squeezed us in to their very busy schedule to get us safely back on the road with our horses. Art quickly diagnosed our issue to be a very simple issue/fix of $37. They had our best interest in mind for sure! Wonder shop and would recommend to anyone!

Had a group of people in town for a UIL event, had trouble, these folks diagnosed the truck for us promptly. They helped us find a reputable shop that could get our vehicle in quickly. I cannot say enough about the quality of work done on my van in a timely manner to get me back on my roadtrip back home. I found Scottie's via a quick Google search while stalled on the side of the interstate while waiting for the tow truck. I chose them because of the high praise and multiple 5 star reviews. I would recommend them to anyone in Amarillo. Thank you for your competence and exceptional work.

Was told by another mechanic that I needed to have my transmission replaced so I took it to Scotty s and talked to Art. After taking a look at it, Art told me that it actually didn t need to be replaced and only had to replace a couple of bearings. All in all Art saved me over $1000 by being honest with me and showing the integrity of Scotty s transmission, I would HIGHLY recommend this place!

Extremely slow. It has been a month and they could not fix my transmission. They keep putting me off. First i was told that it would take 7-10 days. It has been A MONTH and they still have my car. They don't update you regularly and when you call them, they always tell we are working on it. If you need your car urgently, never go there. It is the slowest service i've ever seen.
